in the days of old when the Earth was young and life was new a great wickedness spread across the land the hearts of men were filled with evil and their thoughts were only of wrongdoing seeing this the Lord was grieved in his heart he regretted that he had made man on the earth and was deeply saddened by the corruption that had taken hold but amidst this Darkness there was one man who found favor in the eyes of the Lord his name was Noah and he was a righteous man blameless among the people of his time
Noah walked Faithfully with God and so God spoke to Noah saying I am going to put an end to all people for the Earth is filled with violence because of them so make yourself an ark of Cypress Wood make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out Noah obeyed the Lord's command and built the ark according to God's specifications it was a massive vessel capable of carrying Noah his family and two of every kind of animal male and female to preserve them during the coming flood as Noah worked on the ark he
also preached to the people warning them of the impending judgment and urging them to turn from their wicked ways but the people paid no heed to his words and they continued in their sinful ways then the day came when the heavens opened and the rains began to fall for 40 days days and 40 nights the Earth was covered in water and all living things outside the ark perished but inside the ark Noah and his family were safe along with the animals that God had brought to them the waters prevailed on the earth 150 days after
the great flood Noah sent out a raven and then a dove to find dry land The Raven flew back and forth until the waters had dried up but the dove returned because it found no place to rest after waiting a week Noah again sent out the Dove and it returned with an olive leaf indicating that the waters had receded he waited another week and sent the dove out again and it did not return signaling that the Earth was dry After the flood waters receded the ark came to rest on the Mountains of Ararat and God
made a covenant with Noah promising never again to destroy all life on Earth with a flood he set a rainbow in the sky as a sign of this Covenant a reminder of his mercy and Grace and so Noah and his family together at in number emerged from the ark and the Earth was made new once more it was a fresh beginning a chance for Humanity to start aresh and walk in righteousness before the Lord I will never again curse the ground for man's sake although the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth nor
