We are living in strange and unusual times; there is no denying that we are approaching the last days. Jesus said His return would be like the days of Noah—widespread sin, corruption, and people living carelessly, unaware of impending judgment. Luke 17:26 declares, "And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man.
" Today, we are witnessing the moral decay of society at an unprecedented level. Lawlessness is rampant, and blasphemy is openly displayed in public arenas. The decline in morality is evident in our politics, entertainment, education systems, and even religious institutions.
Many have turned away from God, embracing lifestyles that contradict His word. The rejection of biblical truth is now a celebrated act in mainstream culture, and any attempt to correct this rebellion is met with hostility. The growing sinfulness of mankind is manifesting in every area of life, yet the majority of the world remains blind to what is unfolding before their very eyes.
Consider the blasphemy displayed during the Olympic Games; sin is no longer hidden; it is paraded on the world's stage. This level of rebellion against God is not normal. Genesis 6:5 describes the generation of Noah: "The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
" That is exactly what we are seeing today. Over and over again, international events and media productions openly mock God. Look at comedian Nikki Glaser at the Golden Globes, another global platform where there was no reason to bring up God, yet blasphemy was on full display.
Glaser repeatedly made jokes involving God throughout her monologues, and the acceptance speeches have been on fire. Who got shouted out the most? Let's look at the numbers: cast and crew are leading the way with 11 mentions; moms are holding strong with three shoutouts; God, creator of the universe, received zero mentions.
While comedy can thrive without mocking faith, her remarks crossed a line, highlighting a growing trend in our culture—the diminishing reverence for God. This is just one example of many illustrating how society has normalized irreverence and sin. The entertainment industry, music industry, and media as a whole continue to push messages that glorify wickedness, and they no longer attempt to hide their disdain for the things of God.
The wickedness of this generation is great upon the earth; every intent of the thoughts of people's hearts is continually evil, yet the world moves on without even batting an eye. Just like in the days of Noah, people are eating, drinking, marrying, and being given in marriage, unaware of the coming judgment. They continue to live as if the world will go on indefinitely, completely oblivious to the prophetic warnings given in Scripture.
Many are consumed by materialism, seeking pleasure above all else and disregarding the eternal consequences of their actions. The increasing hostility toward Christianity is evident, as those who stand for biblical truth are ridiculed and silenced. The widespread immorality, greed, and spiritual blindness reflect the very conditions that existed before God's great judgment in Noah's time.
The Bible gives us clear signs that will precede the return of Christ; we are seeing these signs increase in frequency and intensity, just as Jesus prophesied in Matthew 24. The closer we move to the end, the more apparent these indicators become. These signs are not coincidences; they are divine warnings that the end is near.
As we look around the world, the prophetic puzzle pieces are coming together in ways we have never seen before. Matthew 24:3-8: "As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately. 'Tell us,' they said, 'when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?
' Jesus answered: 'Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, "I am the Messiah," and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed.
Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
All these are the beginning of birth pains. '" Jesus described the last days as a time of increasing birth pains, a reference to natural disasters, famines, pestilences, and other global calamities. These are not isolated events but rather a consistent pattern pointing to the soon return of Christ.
As birth pains become more frequent and intense before childbirth, so too will these signs intensify before the return of Jesus. This analogy is fitting, as we see disasters striking at a rapid pace, bringing devastation and fear worldwide. Consider the earthquakes; look at what is happening in Greece.
In February 2025, the Greek island of Santorini experienced 7,700 earthquakes in less than two weeks. Yes, you heard that correctly—7,700 earthquakes. Now let's turn our attention to Santorini.
This is a Greek island and a popular tourist hotspot, but over the past week, it has witnessed a mass exodus of tourists and residents due to the seismic swarm—that's what it's been called. Nearly 8,000 earthquakes have rattled the island over the past week. The authorities have declared an emergency and are scrambling to prepare for the worst.
Hundreds of small quakes in Santorini this week have renewed concerns about the safety of decades-long cliffside construction. Experts have long questioned the sustainability of Santorini's tourism boom, and that's particularly true of the Caldera, the rim of an ancient sunken volcano whose sides plunge into the clear waters of the Aegean. Such a staggering number is beyond normal and is a clear sign that the earth is groaning, just as Scripture tells us in Romans 8:22.
This is happening in multiple regions with an increasing frequency. Number of seismic events occurring globally. Scientists are unable to fully explain the surge, but we, as believers, understand that these are part of the birth pains Jesus warned about.
These natural disasters are meant to remind us that this world is temporary and that God's plan is unfolding as foretold in Scripture. Pestilences: in recent memory, we have seen pestilences bring the entire world to a standstill. Pandemics have reshaped how society functions and caused global fear.
Jesus warned of pestilences in the last days. We have witnessed how quickly disease can spread, bringing entire economies to their knees and altering the very fabric of everyday life. These health crises have resulted in widespread panic, government overreach, and the implementation of measures that hint at the control prophesied in Revelation.
Every new outbreak reminds us that mankind is not in control, and we are being forced to acknowledge our dependence on God. Wars and rumors of wars: Jesus warned that conflicts and instability would increase before the end. Current geopolitical tensions, such as wars in the Middle East, Ukraine, and global military buildups, are clear indicators that we are moving toward the final days.
Matthew 24:6-7 states: "And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled, for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. " The global arms race is accelerating, and many nations are preparing for large-scale conflict.
The tensions we see today are just the beginning. Nations are rising against nations, and the potential for a catastrophic world war looms over us. These conflicts are not coincidental; they are part of the biblical prophetic timeline.
Jesus said that before the end comes, the gospel would be preached to all nations. Matthew 24:14 declares: "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come. " Thanks to technology, social media, and global evangelism, the gospel is reaching places once thought impossible.
Remote tribes are hearing the message of Jesus through internet broadcasts, missionaries, and even supernatural dreams and visions. There is no doubt that we are fulfilling this prophecy before our very eyes. The accessibility of the Bible through digital formats and translations in nearly every language makes it evident that we are approaching the completion of this mission.
Despite persecution, the word of God is spreading rapidly. Persecution against Christians is increasing, yet the gospel is advancing at an unprecedented rate. Even in countries where Christianity is illegal, people are coming to Christ in record numbers.
The underground church is growing, and souls are being saved daily. The signs of the times are clear; we are moving closer to the Rapture. The Bible teaches that Jesus will return for His church suddenly, like a thief in the night.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 tells us: "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
" This is the event known as the Rapture, the sudden catching away of the church. It will happen in the twinkling of an eye. One moment, believers will be here, and the next, they will be with the Lord.
Those who have died in Christ will be resurrected from their graves and be reunited with their glorified bodies. After that, those who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 states: "Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
" The glorious body: the mortal will put on immortality; the corruptible shall put on incorruption. "For death will be swallowed up in victory. " God will give the believers caught up new bodies.
Thank God there will be no more sickness! Aren't you tired of sickness? Aren't you tired of how frail this human body is?
The glorious new body will not age or deteriorate; it will be a youthful body. Not only that, but this verse reveals to us the speed at which the Rapture will happen. It will take place suddenly and quickly, with believers who are faithful to the teachings of Christ being transformed in an instant.
In the twinkling of an eye, we shall be transformed into glorious beings, and this will happen so fast. After the sounding of the last trumpet, we will meet up with Jesus in heavenly bodies. The event of the Rapture will happen so fast that it will be over before the world knows what has happened.
Before the world even has the slightest inclination of what has happened, it will be over. There will be no time for goodbyes; there will be no time for last-minute prayers. It will happen in an instant.
During this time, God will release His wrath on the people that fail to follow the teachings of Christ. There is a time coming on this earth that this world is not prepared for. There is a time coming in the Bible called the Great Tribulation, but the vast majority of the people in this world are not concerned about this.
During this time, evil will spread without restraint. During this period, we see in the Book of Revelation that the wrath of God will be revealed. Those who live in disobedience, immorality, idolatry, corruption, slander, and other forms of sin will be left behind to face the wrath of the Lord.
As Christians, it is. . .
It is important that we live our lives in anticipation of the Rapture. We should be vigilant, watching and waiting for the return of our Lord, and live in a way that is pleasing to Him. We should strive to be ready for the Rapture at all times.
Luke 12:40: "Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. " Oh!
