understanding that it's not an event like success in trading is a process it's not an event and it's a process that never ends what would you say the Holy Grail in trading [Music] is welcome back to the words of rydom podcast we are back once again here at the FX Summit the one the only the best place to be for your networking and uh we have the one the only Jesse with us today what's up guys Casper right yeah yeah Casper Jesse I everybody I'm introducing myself to here I'm like oh I'm Jesse and people
are like wait you're not Casper I'm like yeah everybody just knows me as Casper but yeah man I pleasure pleasure being on I appreciate you having me on yeah always man I know we got to spend some time together these last couple days as well which has been great and uh well let's start off with first I'm going to ask you like what Casper where does that come from uh it's actually a nickname okay so I boxed uh all growing up right and it was my nickname uh my coach gave it to me and it
was just a childhood nickname and whenever I started doing the Social Media stuff I just kind of I don't know I've a lot of people I know from my hometown call me that you know so it's just a nickname cuz people think I came up with it for trading but it's been a lifelong thing that's right that's good that's cool it's the backstory which is what we're going to go into now so like give it try and be brief but like how did you get to where you are today man as far as like the
trading game goes so I initially started messing around with like assets so to speak in crypto back in like 2016 okay but I wasn't really trading wasn't very active um did well but it wasn't you know B based off of my skill uh and then I came back into the you know trading World in 2020 and started to trade a little bit realized that I didn't really know uh what as much as I thought I did so I got really determined to to perfect that and uh you know I became obsessed with it like I
literally every day all day long wasn't just trading but more or less studying um you know I mean I I actually found recently a notebook that I had where I used to write take handwritten notes I have books of them so I just did that from like 20 20 on man and really just uh just started the Social Media stuff in like the last 6 months but yeah man that's really it just just stayed dedicated stayed focused um and also really just never cared to lose never cared to lose like that's I would say if
I had to briefly describe what got me here is just not being afraid to fall in my face you know what I mean was it was that something you developed or is that something you've always had I've always been like that yeah ever since was a kid and and it it's like I was uh I was raised in like a sports environment which I I didn't play sports in high school because I just hated it I was was always shoved on my you know shoved in my face but um I was always brought up like
you got to be the best at what you're doing you got to you got to be dedicated and that always taught me like those lessons carried on throughout everything and really in business because you know um and I'm sure you're famili with this you've got your own everything going and it's it's just like you can't be afraid to lose you got to always be determined and have that that you know that dog in you I guess so to speak as David gogin would say it definitely definitely it makes sense and what were like the key
hardships or losses or less Les that you had to learn to sort of make progress in your journey you know um I with with business I had a trucking company right um some of the people watching this are are familiar with that a little bit I had some partners that uh things didn't work out like it worked out really well for uh for amount of time and then it didn't right and it and it was like a big reset for me in terms of like uh you know falling in your face you know and that
that taught me a lot as far as uh recouping a lot of uh you know just business structure and just setting yourself up uh you know to succeed with that yeah definitely and then in regards to obviously your journey now so you don't you don't trade Forex do you I do sometimes like I if I do swing trading you know I traded like EU like two or three weeks ago uh like gold if you count gold as Forex my brain always Associates gold but I trade gold some but as far as like what I'm uh
you know focusing on is NASDAQ uh es sometimes but I'll cycle between those two perfect okay and obviously with the content that you've been putting out more recently what was the sort of mindset and drive behind that you know um I I I started just doing streams right for all the people that I'm working with and it was just more or less just a kind of a room for people to be in and then I started to get a little traction when I post videos and I looked at it like okay you know if if
I can put out stuff there for free and in turn I can grow grow a brand and it's fun like it's something I'm doing already like I'm trading all the time I'm already you know working with with a bunch of people so why not embody it into a video and you know and then it just became fun you know what I mean it's it's like a whole a whole hustle and a whole another another thing to keep me busy right cuz I always like working on projects I always like growing in every every aspect so
it's just another thing another Beast to master you know what I mean definitely definitely I love that and you know what's it what's it been like obviously to build quite fast you know quite fast and you know what sort of I wouldn't say tips but like what is the process you've gone through to do that really it's understanding um you know you have to work back from who who what problems are you trying to solve right so um I used to do sales too and it teaches you a lot about psychology if you look at
it in the right way and it really is just about understanding who you are trying to you know who you're speaking to and what problems you're trying to solve you know what I mean that's really what you have to you have to just work backwards from that and really try to develop a uh a solution based on what people actually need not what you want to give them you know what I mean so as soon as you you know exactly you're talking to you know exactly the problems they have and if you can solve them
in an efficient way that's easy for them to digest it's just I mean that's that's that's the formula you know you you figure out what works and you just keep hammering it and and you know and just just uh always try to innovate and always improve but figure out your lane and and just build on that you know definitely and what would you say trading is to you like what would you say if you were to Freedom yeah Freedom 100% And what was it like I know obviously you have a daughter right yeah yeah yeah
yeah so you know how did that change you as a as a person you know um um it may one thing about trading that I like is it really will teach you a lot about your yourself emotionally and just like self control wise and I'm a big believer in discipline anybody who's watched any of my stuff knows I I talk about you know how you do anything is how you do everything and it it'll I think trading can help you compose yourself um in a lot more of a disciplined way if you're not already in
that lifestyle um and so being a father you know it kind of just bring it grounds you bring you back to what matters and helps you be the best version of yourself which is you know you're not going to be a good a good father a good role model or a good leader Without Really uh you know internalizing everything that that you know you have going on and and learning as much as you can about yourself you know and trading does that a lot definitely and was there any element of becoming a father that sort
of made you shift your trading or or your your your lifestyle in in a sense no I mean I I will say I used to be a little more wild and stuff like I used to like you know it kind of caught me down from like partying and all that stuff you know um that was like the biggest shift for me when I had a daughter um but I've always been I've always been a a hustle I've always been a go-getter you know what I mean like even before I had a kid but it did
it motivates you it gives you more of a purpose and it's like you know before it was more or less you know just to make money right which is a very empty way to do things like yeah sure you might be able to make a lot of money and and have a lot of fun on this but now you know I look at it like I'm building a legacy and it's just it it's much more purpose P it much more meaning and that that gives you that uh I won't even say motivation it just it
just it's like this isn't a choice you know what I mean like it's not a choice anymore to do the best you can you know no definitely what would you say the Holy Grail in trading is there isn't one I'd say the Holy Grail is understanding there is no Holy Grail and just understanding that it's not an event like success in trading is a process it's not an event and it's a process that never ends you know and it's if you look at it like trying to find the Holy Grail I think that mindset in
itself you're already running you're already in an uphill battle you know yeah definitely and what would your message to Traders out there being cuz we're here at the FX Summit you know there's people here who no doubt are on their Journey still they're probably still finding their feet maybe they're new you know what would your message to them be you know those people who are still on that journey I would say um first and foremost don't expect for this to be like an a a source of income in the first uh you know I don't
want to put a Time label on it but in the the near future because if you're looking at it like that like people that they'll go buy a funded challenge or they'll start trading and buy a course because they want to make money in the next like 3 months 6 months mhm you're already you're lost you've lost because you're looking at it with the wrong or in the wrong uh way because you know you're gonna have a lot of toxic me you know a lot of toxic habits and just overall the wrong approach if you
look at it like that but if you can understand that this is going to be a long journey and embrace that and you know really just leverage everything you can and just stay stay committed that's going to be the biggest uh biggest advantage that any new trador could have definitely yeah definitely and was there anything in in particular in your journey that you know really was what people call that aha moment that click moment was there anything that you could look at or was it more of an accumulation of things more of an accumulation but
there was like a time I can remember it very you know it was like I was like a day or any minute but it was like there was a time where I really started to realize like okay it's starting it's starting to click it's really starting to click but really what it was it wasn't technicals it wasn't like I watch so much uh you know so much ICT or so what what people think they think it's just endless uh education while neverends that'sa more in tune theet of it and that's why you have people that
are trading bull Flags people that are trading SMC people that trade whatever and you know the the common denominator between the successful ones is not is not a strategy we've seen that it's just how you think so that's where the aha moment I think uh is going to be for anybody is just cracking your code whatever that is you know yeah no no I like that I like that you know you mentioned Mr ICT that yeah what are your thoughts on on Mr ICT a lot of respect for him I appreciate everything he's done um
I know there's a lot of controversy where people like hate on him and they don't he doesn't live trade and this way here the way I look at it is obviously what what he has put together works I know I know that like I don't have any there's no argument with that for me so when people are arguing over I think it's a lot of people that are kind of just projecting their own failures you know maybe they tried it and like didn't work or there's a people that do it just for clout you know
what I mean but I have all the respect for the dude um yeah you know I think it's it's it's insane how much it's blown up recently cuz I've been trading it for a while before the 2022 mentorship where it just completely blew up and what's your what's your mission now you know you have that you have the profitability yeah you know so what is the mission now what what is the goal where is it that you're trying to go to right you know lately I've been really trying to put that in a very clear
perspective for myself as far as like you know what what would be you know not the end game goal but you know cuz again like it goes back to purpose like I was saying earlier and really um I want to I want to get to the point where not only cuz you know I I've been able to be very blessed in my life and my fames are you know or my family's very blessed but I want to be able to build a legacy of not just people around me being blessed you know what I mean
like I want to um I want to do things that touch a lot more people so I want to be able to raise enough Capital to eventually get into philanthropy and also I want to be able to live in uh have a couple different spots in different different countries not just America do you have any any in mind already or yeah Dubai is a big one for sure Dubai that'd probably be the the number one um but you know there's Cape Town's another one I've looked at but Dubai is really the the place that I
want to I want to go to definitely and we'll finish up on one last question then which is like what is your top three tips to Traders trying to you know progress to move forward yeah I would say um first off really uh focus on trading psychology before I won't say before anything cuz no one's going to do that everyone's going to learn technicals you're going to have to lose some money to realize that you know there's there is a there's something missing and that is trading psychology um yes Mark Douglas get some Mark Douglas
books you know the discipline Trader trading in the zone those two books Alone um can change the the course of your trading tremendously depending on where you find them in your journey um so that' be number one is focus on trading psychology number two is pick a strategy that makes sense for you that you know that you believe in and you can commit to and stop trying to hop around and and that doesn't necessarily just mean you know cuz people think oh well I trade ICT I'm like okay that's a lot of different strategies I
mean it's a concept it's like a school of thought but like pick your strategy your trading plan and stick to that and refine it rather than trying to hop around you know that's another problem I see new Traders have and then um lastly man it's kind of goes back to what we said earlier just just embrace the journey and and look at it that or look at it in the way that it's not going to be an event where you are successful at trading it's the processes that make you successful you know what I mean
