Call it a teriyak chicken. I have about 10 ounces of chicken thighs that I'm going to uh we'll sear in the cast iron and finish in the oven. Um, I'll make some rice, make a special sauce with some kimchi and some soy sauce and some peppers.
He likes it nice and spicy. Uh, and um, have him all fueled up and ready to go for sparring today. I'm going to make a little salsa.
Like I said, Deon likes things nice and spicy. Uh, you know, at a higher weight class. Um, we started at 135.
We kind of tested the waters at 140, moved up to a catch weight at 44. So we've been get gradually increasing and moving up in the right way so he can uh you know kind of put on weight uh to be at the bigger divisions properly which means he's eating more food more frequently uh which means he's a happier fighter during fight camp which is always a good thing. Beautiful.

I'm a south ball. I box before 1996 alternate Olympic team. So, I'm I'm I dot the eyes and cross the tees.
So, I'm making sure that he he's right for his fight. But most people just see the finished product. They don't see the hard work that goes on, all things that goes on before, like getting up in the morning, running, working out, then you got to go back to the gym and work out again.
So, sparring was Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. And we have sparring days, sparring times, and we just go in and get busy. But it's a lot of work behind it.
Oh, I feel great. I'm loving the way the camp is going. I feel sharp.
The elevation here, I feel it, but it's pushing me. Devin Haney also spent time sparring as part of his preparation, using live rounds to sharpen his timing, defense, and overall ring awareness. You know, he's hungry.

Oh, I know it's ready. Like I don't feel like I know. I know he's ready.
I just can't see him execute. Chap. They didn't think we was going to make the moves.
We brought in the right people. We got the A team. In this case, it's the dream team training allows Devin to sharpen his timing, defensive reactions, footwork, and punch selection against different styles of opponents.
Trying to see the right hand now. They going to see the right hand now. They're in trouble.
Big bear to big apple. Big air. Big beer to the big apple.
Big play. Mr 36 minutes. We going to give him hell and rob the bank.
It is one of the most important parts of any training camp and Haney looked fully focused on making every round count as he prepares for the challenges ahead. This training also helps build confidence and endurance, ensuring he is mentally and physically ready when it's time to step back into the ring. I mean, it it is easy.
It is it is light work. It's hard work, but it's light work cuz, you know, I'm having fun with it. I'm enjoying the process, enjoying the grind.
So, it's fun work. It's still hard work, but it's fun. On the other hand, Keshan Davis has also been staying busy in the gym, showing that he is taking his preparation just as seriously.

But it's on low. We not blasting it. So atmosphere is just like we laughing playing.

I bought to a slow gospel song, bro. For sure. I went viral for that.
Like everybody was hitting me up like that was my favorite song. I had interviews over that walk out song, bro. You won.

Bust it out loud. [laughter] I need a little taper, man. Got my cornrows.
I need a little taper. I'm line your up. Yeah, shadow boxing, bro.
When you shadow box, walk move with your punches either in a circle or straight back. I mean, straight forward or straight back. Like move at the same time.
Welcome to my side of the town, man. What's up, bro? It is another sign that Keshan is leaving no stone unturned as he prepares for the biggest challenges of his career.
I ain't dead. I still popping like a quiz. Bad on my sweet money.
I see them. Meanwhile, tension spilled over when Bill Haney and Keshan Davis's coach Dorset went head-to-head in a heated exchange. Neither side was willing to back down as they traded sharp words over the proposed fight, adding even more intensity to the growing rivalry between Team Haney and Team Davis.
With emotions running high, the confrontation only fueled anticipation for what many believe could become one of boxing's biggest matchups. You guys, I don't even know. I mean, have you guys beat a champion yet?
At a lower weight class? Yes. I said, "Have you guys beat a champion yet?
" I said, "At one. " At a lower weight class, yes. Who was the champion?
Veric. He was an undefeated champion when we knocked him out in the fourth round. He was he was a champion when you beat him.
Yes. He was an undefeated um champion when we knocked him out in four rounds. Okay.
Well, well, listen. We've been [laughter] champions. We've been crossing continents.
We've been doing it, you know, and and I'mma tell you, I'm looking forward to looking across from you and uh and we getting it on. How about that? Bernie, the boxer, also shared his take on the potential Devin Haney versus Keshan Davis showdown, explaining why he believes the matchup is far more competitive than many fans think.
So, now that you know, Devin is fighting, you know, Keshan and this purse [ __ ] is coming up, if they don't make an agreement, a lot of people are looking at it as like, how do you feel about, you know, Bernie? this whole situation as far as you know now he went to Zufa but then not fighting Deon Haney knowing that Devin Haney wanted that fight. Well, I think uh no Deon Haney wants to fight.
He got to drop the belt. We already said that, you know, or ask the WBO for extension, which they, you know, Deon Haney earned his right to to get that extension in in a in a a super fight with Shakur Stevenson is warranting that. You know, I I love Keshan Davis, but Keshan Davis has [music] has he hasn't done enough in the sport and or the division yet.
You know, Shakor Stevenson's a four division world champion, two-time lineal champion. And and and like I said, you know, they they had the they had the bad blood or they had the the matchup at 35. You know, that didn't happen.
So, uh I think the WO can grant that, you know, and and uh if I'm Deon Hay, that's exactly what I'm doing. I'm asking, hey, you know, I want to keep my championship. I think I'm a good champion.
I've been uh a champion of yours in the past at lightweight, you know. Um I love the WBO. And just talk to him, you know.
It's just all about talking. Keshan Davis's coach Dorset sent a strong message to Bill Haney and Devin Haney, making it clear that team Davis isn't backing down from the ongoing rivalry. Confident in Keshan's abilities, Dorset insisted his fighter is ready for the challenge and fired back at the Haney camp, adding even more fuel to one of boxing's most heated potential matchups.
Who's more likely to get out of the round after being caught with a good shot? A Devin Haney opponent or a Keshan Davis opponent? If Keshan catches you with a good shot and you get wobbly and Devin Haney catches you good with a good shot and you get wobbly, who is more likely to survive that round?
If you fighting Deon Haney. If you're fighting Deon Haney or you fighting Keshan? Yeah, if you're fighting Deon Haney, you'll probably you'll probably you still make it out of the because the killer instinct is in in Ke.
He ain't got that killer instinct. He ain't got that killer instinct when he when he dropped Brian Norman. That would have been the end of the fight if that was Kean.
That would have been the end of that fight. He dropped by Norman, backed up, and got on his got got on his bicycle and didn't go for the kill for the rest of the fight. He didn't go for the kill for the rest of the fight.
That's that's that's his mo. Oh, I if you let your guard down, I'mma get this sneaking shot, then I'm gone. Like that's why I that's why I told Bill the other day he has an amateur style of fighting.
That's amateur style. Ahead of tomorrow's purse bid, Keshan Davis sent a strong message to Bill Haney and Devin Haney, making it clear that he is confident and ready for whatever comes next. With negotiations reaching a crucial stage, his comments only added more intrigue to the situation as boxing fans wait to see whether the long discussed showdown will finally move one step closer to becoming official.

I think that Haney is in a predicament to be honest with you and I understand that I we had a conversation um inside the ring with with Bill and you know Bill is is is slick with it.
You know Bill got got a mouthpiece on him and you know I like to read between the lines and Bill Bill in a sense is saying he'd rather have Javvante Davis because the risk is the same with all three.
