praise God so work needs to be effective otherwise it's not work needs to be effective otherwise it's not work if work is not effective nothing will move nothing will change it will not make a difference and God requires work for him to be effective God approves of only approves of effective work so you should have that concern of does God approve of my work it should be there because you're serving God do you actually achieve something with the time that you spend working because God values time and God hates with stage of time to are
you wasting time are you wasting time do you waste time what do you do with your time what do you do every hour of every day are you productive with your time sometimes we're so used to being a certain way that it feels foreign to us to hear some of these teachings see God hates laziness God hates laziness let me see who has ever been called lazy by people in their family your family said your lady you felt that pain there's a lot that really happens that creates that template that others call laziness [Music] I

Emma Austria she's a short-term intern and then you've got Lillian she's in the UK she's also a short-term intern that has just begun so they're just maybe less than a month in and their short-term interns and on this call and of course ayanda is sitting next to me here so on this call we are God is encouraging us about work okay God is encouraging us about work so you'll be you you'll be part of these calls also violin just to help you see what we're praying about you've been in our passion project groups so yeah
we're happy to be to have you um join us so the topic we are addressing today Valen began yesterday I mean the topic is that work must be effective so any work you do must be effective and we were just discussing and saying that God requires effective work and he does not like time wasting and laziness because God values time so much and we were reading some Bible verses and we saw one verse that is saying that the lazy man or woman desires but has nothing that it's possible to have desires to have dreams to
want you want this you want that but because of laziness you're ending up with nothing and we're trying to show that laziness is something that God does not like very much Luke chapter 16 and verse 10 says whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much and whoever is dishonest with little will also be dishonest with much sometimes people are dishonest about what time they wake up what time they go sleep people are dishonest about their work people sometimes you want God to help you but you're not honest about your work
ethic you're not honest about how you're doing the work you're doing the work through sneakiness dishonesty you're still lying to God but I'm trying to tell you people you cannot lie to God and you cannot trick God for Alexander to promote you for no reason even if I even if I made the mistake and accidentally promoted you sooner or later you will be discovered that you're not genuine that you're not honest that you're not helping yourself you're not doing yourself any favors because like I told you God's love is unconditional but God's favor is conditional
and it says here if you cannot be trusted with little when somebody you give them something very little and they cannot do it they'll lose their breaking trust because it's laziness that is there they cannot overcome their emotions they cannot overcome what they are feeling if you wake up a certain way then you will stay that way the whole day you can't get out of bed you're always making excuses you there's always something wrong and everything wrong can stop you from doing anything you know this is why as a child somebody would have said you're
lazy because it is meaning that you have no capacity or ability to to suppress your things it's like you can't suppress things I hired one very talented graphic designer but this graphic designer always lets me down once in a while he'll produce brilliant work So I says Lord I don't understand I like this gentleman so much because when he does the work he gives Alexander the wow factor I like people who make people say wow when you do my work and people say wow you know Alexander like say Alexander likes wow factor so if you're
going if valid is going to bring wow factor to me uh me and Valen we're going to be best friends because the Avalanche will be best friends because Valen is making me look very amazing because of violin look very handsome look very beautiful people will say wow Alexander likes wow if you I like wow because I was born to shine we talked about shining I was born to shine in this world so when people say wow even though it's you who did the work but they'll say Alexander wow when people say wow Alexander ah me
and you'll be friends maybe you see me and you'll be friends but you see if you can't so this gentleman I hired for graphic design even though he gives me wow factor ninety percent of the time is disappointing it's lit he can do it so I said God this man said that Uganda has electricity problems there is there are you know sometimes there is nature there in Kenya there's lights out I don't know what's happening in Lusaka Emma will say that in Austria sometimes the internet is not stable another person can say oh my period
pains came and they are so painful another person I'm telling you life has life happens but now I went to God I says oh Lord I like this gentleman because he makes me feel wow but 90 percent is making me feel painful and I feel bad says Lord what what will I do is it that I need to pray and the lord gave me a key that I understood he taught me something he said there is somebody else who has the same conditions who come from a country where there is no lights where there is
load shedding but they will still get the job done I said wow you see that's the difference one the lazy person or the person who's not fully may be talented you may have desires but you will not have anything you will not go far in life the lazy person everything that happens is the excuse why the work was not done yet in the same country in the same city there's another person who will carry them you see we said a worker carries burdens of the work you will make sure the work is done no matter
what they will go to the neighbor they will take a matatu and a bus go to the other City somebody else will still carry the burden and make sure the work is done another person your excuse is load shedding and me I was even feeling sorry for him says ah oh yes I know how Kampala is but I'm feeling pain inside but because I understand Kampala and I understand African electricity so I was feeling sorry but I was in pain since this guy is not blessing me even though sometimes He blesses me sometimes it's lit
sometimes I have to make excuses sometimes the birthday video came on 7pm on the day of the birthday so okay I understood liked her birthday video but now I've been stressed instead of focusing on enjoying ayanda's birthday she's in Mombasa enjoying camel rides this and this is happening but the back of the video and the birthday posters they came at night some of them she saw the next day so if so the whole day I'll be chasing this person you see it's frustrating work you go through so much pain to even get that result see
this is this is what you see you can you're not trustworthy with little why because I have to now work and have extra headache and I will have pain and I'll be with you I can't even focus on ayanda's birthday and you know ayanda likes a bad days to be to be to be well done but I can't balance I can't focus on your Auntie's birthday because these are the gentlemen from Kampala he's giving me he's skipping me on his doors yes when it comes out it will be wow but this wow is mixed is
sometimes I don't know you know sometimes you do something good and you're expecting someone to congratulate you but when you see the look on the face the person is not sure whether to congratulate you or to slap you assistant [Laughter] I'd say thank you and show gratitude or what do I do with that other frustration I'm happy you did it but the stress say the stress the stress the stress it is too much pain so I don't know whether to I have to smoke after force a smile and when you look at the blessing the
Bible says the blessing of the Lord maketh one rich and adds no sorrow why is it your blessing in sorrow is full of Sorrow this sorrow yes is good it's done but the pain so the pain overshadows the goodness after several years of being together I'll be ah the pain the pain is more than the goodness you see Luke 16 10 whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much don't go giving promotions to such an individual so God
is saying that's why God is saying if it's not effective it's not work stop smiling and waiting to be congratulated because it's not really it does not qualify anymore not God's standards and it will not qualify by the standards of successful people they will not tolerate that sort of thing because it's this wastage of time there is somebody who cannot suppress their issues someone who's not disciplined cannot manage their time you know and every load shedding problem electrical problem you will keep using excuses but there is somebody else in the same town in the same
city even in what circumstances who is even very privileged to be given the job is excited that somebody give them work to do and they will still perform and deliver results work must be effective I'm telling let me tell you a story I've been telling since 2004. and some of you maybe Valen will be hearing the story for the first time some of you have had it before there was once a manager and he had four workers he told Waka number one so says oh I'm so thirsty I would kill for an orange juice and
Waka number one said oh even me I'm so thirsty even me I would like some orange juice even me I'm very thirsty I would like some orange juice too that was worker number one and then Waka number two says I am so thirsty today I would do anything for orange juice and the person said oh I'm going to get your orange juice just give me some some moments give me some time I'm going to get the orange juice and then the person got distracted I don't even know what time the oranges showed up then Waka
number three the same scenario oh I could do anything for orange juice and the person said oh thank you Boss I I will get you something and they went to the kitchen and put the boss some orange juice and rot the both the oranges to the boss and did not waste any time and then the fourth worker oh I would like some orange juice I would do anything for some oranges I'm so thirsty and the worker says I will handle it for you the worker for she researched the best town the best shop in town
that serves the best orange juice then mid Arrangements to get that orange juice to the office however whether she went for it or organized for it to come with our own resources then came and served the orange juice in a nice glass with with some nice caveat and asked him if he would you like me to do the same every day would you like me to serve you the same orange juice every day let me ask you a question which of the four workers will be promoted who among the four workers will be promoted and
who will be definitely fired you can admit is a question for all of us um well I feel like four will definitely get the promotion um worker three I mean like they did it they didn't waste time it's not like they got distracted or just thought about themselves so maybe there could be a level of promotion not sure number one would definitely be fired mm-hmm yeah what do you think Valen I think the one that put in a little effort and time is the one that's going to be promoted rather than the one that took
a little time didn't put in effort and birthday juice that's right Lillian tell me who will be four workers who what will happen to those four workers what's the one one and the one who's been more than Brothers [Music] I can't hear I can't we can't hear you properly so the fact the fourth one will be promoted because they went an extra mile the first one will not be will be fired uh-huh what will happen to Kaka two and three [Music] um depending on what if the promotion to one individual is definitely one person the
person who did well uh for the third one doesn't trial that didn't really put much effort to it I did something just to get by do it and then the lesson never tried at all so it is the very first one these are the ones might be there but um you don't invest on them yeah but if anyone okay Emma what do you think happened to the four workers um number one get fired and number four will get promoted what about number two and three I don't really know Chile what do you think happens to
two and three um two Elise had the desire desire was there there's just was no execution um so I don't think there'll be fired but I don't think they'll be promoted um and three yeah I think three could possibly be promoted but just to a lesser degree that I'm them for because it was just a it was done it was just done um like a mediocre kind of thing it wasn't excellent and it wasn't a word there was no wow factor yeah so number four is the wow factor yeah definitely there's a lot more efforts
a lot more uh how I see is like that the fourth person that was totally facing the the request and the the boss while there's all the rest were like partially or not at all exactly I think number three will have bitterness and will leave the company eventually because every new person will come and pass them they can stay there but they do the bare minimum it's like if we say the limit is 50 you you're always doing 50. so you're you there's no vision there's no growth it's about ticking boxes but they can there
will not be any excellent there will be no God's favor will not rest on that person that person cannot bring growth they might be there and there might be actually people who really sabotage others it's a perfect plant in a company seem useful but it's not useful because you can tell there's no vision there's no true love for anything for the boss or nothing it's more they're there for themselves so they might hang around for a while but they will live and be bitter and even spoil and take others with them because every person who
comes and is effective they will be jealous they'll be bitter they'll be angry they'll be biting it's the people who start rumors because they think they're something that they're not and the company cannot grow with such people because they will never allow others to shine outshine them but they can hang around for a while the boss would need to be courageous and get rid of those people one and two will not survive they'll just be temping so the only option for God is to be effect that's why now the story shows you only number four
is acceptable the rest are not so God wants you to fight laziness and wastage of time he wants you to use every moment with precision this is why we are teaching people to do things in 30-minute segments do you see that God is very specific about time he shows you everything he's teaching everything so and so in order to be effective you must know what your work is you must train you must get equipped for your work some work like in AKG you are having to learn on the spot and this is not favorable per
se but it is contextual because you are being immersed it's immersion there's no time to send you to University and bring you here to be an administrator there's no time to send you and there's no money for you to pay for a project management course we know you're a project manager we know you're a singer we know you're an entrepreneur but because of life and circumstances and context there is no time to send you to UNI first like our sister Valen and study public administration for four years then come back and do the job so
you're having to learn via immersion you're having to learn on the spot because of the Survivor tendencies that are there and for acceleration but you need to learn and you will learn through all the mistakes because one day you will know it and you will be able to do it effectively so it's a journey but in an Ideal World you must be prepared for your work you must be prepared for your work you must know what you're doing and God Treasures people who take the time to invest in their work there's one pastor's wife that
I know from Zimbabwe we used to call her talko and Toko had an inclination that she will marry a pastor she wanted to marry a pastor she told God I want to marry a pastor and what she did after her first degree in uni she went to Bible School do you understand she went to Bible School and became and and did a second degree look at the money she invested she prepared not because I I have seen a pastor let me now run to Bible School long before he even showed up there was no guarantee
and she says I want to be a very useful worker in church she learned to drive she's the one who used to drive the the church van the pastor's wife and learned to be an excellent singer and lent the Bible and still had a good job she was getting over 50k a month a year you must prepare for your work you must know what you're doing because God Treasures people like this so now for us AKG and for interns the Brokenness is so deep so you have to get equipped on the spot because even the
training is difficult so now you are on the spot people and you have to continue investing in yourself to improve this puts more pressure on you than any other average worker if you know that their things are against you if you know that attacks are against you if you know that Satan is against you if you know that they have unfair advantages and a lot of Injustice in your life yet you've been given the opportunity should you work harder or less than the other than an average person harder thank you very much I always know
that you're smart you so you since you know now and the opportunity has been given you now must know you have to take it you're not the usual don't compare yourself to the usual people we have set the enormous standard now your standard is even higher you have to improve you even have more pressure on you because you know God does not like people doing his work anyhow it's your responsibility to train and to master your work however it was being given to you you have to make sure you're continuously investing improving and training so
that you're effective because effective work in effective work ineffective work is disregarded and it's not good in God's eyes it does not matter does not add anything to you ineffective work but if you pay attention to God's work and take it seriously and you know now that he's watching how you're doing it and if you're carefully doing it and you actually care about it keep caring for it knowing that it all matters to God your attitude matters and we're being taught to learn to be effective by investing by training by improving every day every hour
because father God expects it from you so it's important to train and as people of God we are required to show our expertise and we must be excellent because that's how God is he was excellent in all his work he was excellent in creating you so it's the same with the assignment it gives you whether small whether big he's actually expecting a good job he measures everything he weighs how you do things the Bible says the but by him actions are weighed he does not see what you do he even weighs how your attitude and
your demeanor was when you're doing it because God knows what he wants father in the name of Jesus I come before you I come into the economic courts of Heaven in the name that is above every other name Lord I am listening I am understanding I am getting it and I present myself under your covering and I present myself before you and I bring this area of work before you my father and I want to say I am so sorry I can see I'm not responsible I can see that I'm not like number four worker
I can see that I don't take initiative that I don't go the extra mile I repent for not taking responsibility not taking up the burdens of my work not loving it not caring about how I do it making excuses I repent for living it to others not trusting you with it not praying for it not relying on you not depending on you for making excuses please forgive me that I've become so used to this forgive me for laziness please forgive my family wherever they've created a pattern of not taking responsibility over things so nobody honestly
Lord nobody taught me nobody trained me and when some tried I thought they were personally attacking me by calling me names and giving me labels father forgive them and I choose to forgive them but now here I am I'm available teach me your ways help me with work help me to create the right patterns now cleanse me and my family and my ancestry from all of this help me to take responsibility help me to build the cultures of work in me oh God where I am so afraid of the concept of work we have avoided
it now I choose it I choose to take responsibility I give you all my fears of making mistakes fears of being blamed fears of carrying guilt fears of failure fears of not being able to do it all the difficulties of landing on the spot I give away all excuses I give away all of these things and I choose to surrender to your work everything that you've put in my hand for me to do so Lord as I stand here in the economic courts would you clothe me with fresh garments clothe me with power help me
to take responsibility help me to posture my heart right help me to embrace your work open this key up in me I choose your kingdom and I choose your kingdom ways father I do love you I love you my father and I accept you and I accept who I am in you I embrace my heavenly positions in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ thank you Father thank you Father thank you Lord God Almighty I thank you and I praise you thank you Father let me know how you're feeling there thank you Lord starting

to do it's not singing songs and feeling good when you're singing them it is doing the work God called you to do that is worshiping father in spirit and in truth it's not singing songs worship is work done excellently that's why God the Father preferred other sacrifice and rejected King Glory came on work on the sacrifice of love do you understand abrah Bell's work was accepted and Kane's work was not because Abel gave God the best what he loves the most and he understood the principles so your worship is not song singing that's where the
