so by the end of today's video you are going to have a fools proof way of going about getting your very first client for your social media marketing agency in 33 days flat I'm going to show you exactly how I did it even starting with no case studies no references no experience and no money so if you fall into one of those categories and you have no money for like upwork you've got no money whatsoever and you've got negative in your account or even if you're already like 3K 5K 10K per month this is still going to be very useful to you this is exactly how I went about getting my very first client for my social media marketing agency and I'm going to show you the updated 2023 and 2024 method of going about doing this and leveraging this exact same system for you as well that being said let's jump straight to my computer make sure you stay to the end because there's a special kind of like giveaway if you follow along as well guys take a look at this this is my Instagram story programs just these gurus teachings in general in the past couple of videos I've dropped a couple of these in my videos and you guys can kind of see that like cold Outreach is honestly one of the things that I keep seeing most people struggling with and what keeping a lot of people poor and keeping a lot of people broke and as you can see in my couple of last videos I've posted around six different people that's 40 000 Outreach between six different agency owners you know these are all individual agency owners that have tried to close clients and scale their agencies probably doing exactly what you're doing cold emails cold calls looms Facebook sending all these cold DMS all that crazy stuff and they're not able to close clients and I've posted in the last like couple of videos Alone six different people this is the seventh on the screen I posted six different people and over 40 000 Outreach attempts and zero paying clients between these seven people this is the seventh right here as you can see this is the dude the message me earlier today as you can see it says posted two hours ago he's done three years I'm trying to do cold Outreach since three years it's got zero results basically this guy has done three years worth of work and got zero clients he's done three years worth of cold Outreach let's be specific and he's got absolutely zero results from cold Outreach so guys when I tell you this this stuff honestly he just is breaking your businesses please just listen to me so that being said I thought I'd just jump straight into that real quick it was just on my mind so here's how to go about getting your first SMA client in 33 days even if you are a complete beginner even if you have no money even if you've got no case studies no references and you're just starting from beginning this is how I did it I'm gonna break down exactly how I did it and by the way I did this exact same thing and got my first one thousand dollar per month client and I did it with no case studies no Facebook ads experience I never run a Facebook ad for a real estate agent before in my entire life so I was obviously super nervous I started in a brand new Niche and I didn't have any sort of like Niche experience or expertise as you can see point three and four at that point I was worth my lateral net net net worth was negative 3240 US dollars I think it was actually too a little bit more than that to be honest with you in terms of like negative like I'm genuinely mean that I had my bank account itself was on minus 203 pounds which is like minus 280 US dollars or something like that and I'm not even joking as in there was literally no money in my account somebody commented on one of my recent YouTube videos like yesterday or the day before the time I was recording this and they said the I have twenty dollars in my bank account and I literally said well if you've got twenty dollars in your bank account you literally have three thousand two hundred and twenty US dollars more than what I started with because I literally had 2K worth of debt that's British pounds else had an outstanding phone bill at 430 pounds and negative 230 pounds in my actual bank account my Barclays student bank account at this point when I was starting I had two you know when I'm starting SMA and that was back in April 2018 if you guys haven't been following the journey definitely go back to my channel and follow the journey at that point though when I started my agency I had already had two failed businesses which were a clothing line which put me in 2K debt by the way which is why I got a 2K debt and I also had my drop shipping stores shut down because I was trying to sell fortnite merchandise and I got a cease and dismiss letter from epic games themselves which is actually kind of a funny story I still started anyway is what I'm trying to say like all of this negativity like no case studies my back was against the wall I had to run away from home I developed anxiety attacks I had negative like 3. 2 K in net worth I had negative 230 pounds in my bank account two failed businesses never saw anything before in my life no expertise no following online I had no business followers on social media it was only family friends and people that I was born and raised with in my city so I had no potential prospects or buyers at the time I had a brand new LinkedIn page with less than 100 people on there and I had never sold any sort of services before this point except for a one-off social media management for one month it was a one month trial for a hair salon in Manchester to be exact and I lost this client pretty much instantaneously because my onboarding process was absolutely terrible like literally just everything was just terrible at that point so just a prerequisite before you get into this if your Niche is easier to find on Facebook Instagram then use that and by the way we don't we're not going to be using cold cold Outreach ever again like this this channel right here is so anti-cold Outreach we just don't do cold Outreach anymore there's much better way to go about getting clients in fact if you don't believe me take a look at this guy this guy's done three years of cold Outreach guys he probably would have been better off just adding people on Facebook and just building a brand on Facebook like posting one time a day on Facebook and adding 10 people a day that would have literally result of the more business than what he's been doing for the last three years for three years in fact even if he just dropped two YouTube videos a freaking week that were 10 minutes or five to ten minutes long each he would have got better results with this like quite literally you know third year into my kind of like YouTube journey I was making decent amount of money from my from my actual YouTube channel itself so yeah as you can see we've got LinkedIn Paul that we're going to be breaking out some real case studies and whatnot of how I actually do this so if your Niche is easy to find on one social media platform than the other then use that one and what I mean by that is and I had a comment on my channel not too long ago somebody said Montel I like the Instagram kind of like growth strategy that you're you're talking about but what if my Niche is so much easier to find on LinkedIn and I was like dude then you just use LinkedIn now you just literally use LinkedIn so you basically use the social media channel that is easier to find your Niche on so for example if you're going for roofing companies and you can find them in Facebook groups then use Facebook to build your what I like to call the hybrid personal brand which is a micro brand you don't need to be famous you don't need to worry about if your family is on your page you don't need to worry about your families and your content don't worry about all of that stuff guys it just does not mean and stuff and again I started with a brand new LinkedIn page less than 100 people and all the followers I had on my like Instagram was only family members Friends girls from the club stuff like that and people that I was growing and raised with so people from my city so no buys at all so prerequisite if you're Niche is on a different platform then use that you go you you build your personal your hyper personal brand your micro brand where your clients hang out if your Niche doesn't use social media then switch Niche they probably don't even believe in social media marketing in the first place because they if they don't even have like a basic Facebook page or any sort of social media whatsoever and this is like prevalent between a lot of people in your Niche and they're just not easy to find on social media chances are they probably don't even care about social media go sell them something else like email marketing or like automated cold calling services or something something crazy like some sort of SAS or something crazy like that and if you want and this is a good good point here if you want to remain a faceless agency you will stay broke so the choice is yours if you wanna if you want to try breaking down what I'm about to show you and you want to remain faceless as in like you don't want to put your face on camera and you don't want to put your face in common you've got no money the only result you've got to kind of like fall back on right there is either doing cold calls call demons called DMS with like a very like boring page that's faceless nobody really buys from people buy people guys this is probably why you're broke probably why a lot of people are broke like this this guy right here they can't actually get any clients like probably in that situation because he's got like a faceless account that has no content on it that talks to their Niche so let me break down the story guys so so you guys can follow this so story breakdown so this was back in April 2018 I need to give you the story so I listened to all the gurus on YouTube as you do coming across SMA young Montel Gordon you know want to make money want to get to that 10K per month Mark and I got sold on the idea of like I said get into 10K per month with my agency using cold Outreach so what I decided to do is I started cold calling a bunch of businesses it was actually me and one of my best friends called Sheldon if you're watching this shout out to you my bro honestly shout out to you my bro uh but long story short we started doing cold calls together we start doing cold emails we started sending looms we started sending messages on Facebook and I personally took it to the next degree I started doing like video drops where I'd literally record a video of myself and send it to somebody's inbox like say the name like hey John can pronounce your business giving some really fake personalization and then going into a script and dropping it in their DMs I was doing voice notes I was trying to do like SMS drops as well back in the day using like certain software none of it worked for me literally none of it worked for me I sent looms and by the way not only did I do this consistently I did this consistently for 15 entire months in 10 plus niches and I tried six to seven I think it might have been seven different types of Outreach aka the cold calls and they called emails and it looms I did Instagram DMs I did Facebook DMs I then switched up my Instagram and Facebook DMS to voice notes I didn't switch that to video so it ended up being like seven different almost like six to seven different forms of cold Outreach I even tested different scripts played around with different knees come up with different offers and I came to the conclusion after 15 months of just closing absolutely zero paying clients the cold Outreach sucked for me and I felt completely burned out I felt cursed I felt like these gurus had won over me to be honest with you I felt stuck I felt like a failure and I just felt like something was wrong with me as a person like why was everybody else succeeding except me you know I'm pretty sure you know that you know that feeling I then four bound this is actually one of the probably the greatest lines of thinking I ever come across so please do not let this go over your head where I say I'll now say I'll say this slow after 15 months of failing right I then stopped and said look this is not working and I just sat down and I thought to myself like how are all these dudes that I'm looking up to how are they getting ridiculously rich and hitting like 100k months and I can't even get to 10K per month and then I sat and thought about how every day just like every day consumerism happens how do people actually buy things normally and I sat down and I really just thought about it and it's not genuinely through cold cold or cold Outreach and I know that you guys think that that works because it's B to B which is like a big myth like oh you cannot like it's B to C so that's why it works to normal consumers and it's B to B that's why you have to do cold Outreach call out which works for the B2B because it's business owners and I'm like yo you do know that a business can't buy anything unless a person authorizes that transaction so technically it's actually a person to a person when you sell a service to a e-commerce business owner or a gym owner for example who do you speak to you speak to the business owner and who is the business owner the business owner is just a regular person like me and you are so it's actually people to people stop falling for that myth it's people to people people by people is what I'd say to that so I thought to myself how do everyday people buy things like genuinely like normally and what I've noticed is that they actually go out of their way to go to brands that they resonate with and then actually purchase from them for example the iPhone in your hand that you're probably watching this video on right now or the laptop you've got the from the clothes that you wear to the watch that you're probably wearing to the monitor in the background these are all things that I this microphone I'm speaking into these are all things especially these microphones a good idea a good good little metaphor analogy to use this microphone is literally known in the industry as being the short sm7b so this is like the microphone that everybody goes to so it's got like a a notorious brand around it that's almost got like a brand around it like this is the go-to microphone so I went out of my way did research on this microphone and actually went and bought it the company didn't mess like like sure the company that you know makes manufactures these particular mics they didn't send me a cold email saying hey monster you want to come buy one of our mic we sell you on YouTube you want to come buy one of our mics they didn't do any of that what they did was they I've built a brand over time obviously it just take a little time to do this but I'm telling you it's the best thing you can possibly do ever it doesn't even take that long I got my first client in 33 days by doing this by the way guys so you don't see people you don't see companies like apple sending cold emails to get you to come and buy their iPhone you don't see Microsoft sending you a cold email to come and check out the Xbox I think Microsoft do Xbox right and I also thought about like how people like Mrimangaji I'm pretty sure we all know Iman gargis was getting rich and I noticed that he was creating a whole bunch of value like value through content and that content was building trust his credibility and it displayed his expertise as well as gave a nice transformational story within there so I said to myself okay cool why don't I just take what he's doing which is getting inbound clients because think about it these what these gurus are doing and how they're getting rich right is they're creating content they're building an audience there's nothing wrong with that by the way because they're actually giving away good value by the way generally speaking I would say they're giving out good value generally speaking they're trying to get you to improve the quality of your life start a business take things into your own control get away from government assistance get away from working a nine to five job because it's you know genuinely just not a safe thing to do and you guys have seen that with the whole thing that shut the world down I'm not going to say it on here but you get a point so they're actually giving away generally should I say valuable content and what they're doing is they're building an audience building trust from that and then you're going to them resonating with them resonating with them as a person liking them liking the way they speak like in the way they talk like in the way they think and how they convey and articulate themselves on video and you're buying into the person themselves and then buying what they have on the back end of that which to me is the most ethical way to do business like if you like me you like what I'm talking about you like what and I've actually genuinely helped you it's called The Law of reciprocity you build up valuable content like you you know purchasing something from you eventually down the line so that's basically what I decided to take I looked at that and I said yeah that's exactly how all these guys are getting rich they're not they're not I can't imagine image is sending like doing cold calls to you guys coming by his program you know he's not doing that it's you're going to him so I said okay cool why don't I just take these Concepts right here and start doing this but for the real estate niche AKA why don't I become known on the internet for the guy the real estate kind of like business owner should I say comes to or they go to to learn how to run Facebook ads so I said to myself okay cool and by the way I didn't know how to run Facebook guys that at that point to be honest with you I never really considered myself a Facebook ads expert to be honest with you but long story short I started doing this creating content around the real estate Niche on LinkedIn about Facebook ads so I I use LinkedIn start creating uh actual content and I'll actually show you some right now so as you can see this is my LinkedIn from four years ago and this is me you know creating a Facebook business page for your estate agency so it's just basic information I'm giving out for example Facebook ads for real estate agents image ads versus video ads which ones works better here's another one relying on Word of Mouth to grow your real estate business it's not a strategy it's called hope marketing I'm then breaking down videos on like are you leaving money on the table with your estate agency website there's me actually auditing actual estate agents website and as you can see these are all pieces of content social media social media for Real Estate there you go as you can see this is what a lead magnet would like generating value valuations and leave and listing leads using lead magnets and explaining that and then driving them to what you call a vsl by the way it's got like links in it as you can see this is a link there's a link there you go obviously this is not going to work anymore and it will take them to a vsl but that's the old link that's actually crazy to to see it's kind of crazy looking back on a journey for sure here's another video of me break it down so try to create a nice mixture I I personally in 2023 I wouldn't do like little Graphics like this anymore I would probably put my face on camera even if it's just an image like an actual image like if you go to my actual Instagram I still do this to this day for example here's an image of me and as you can see inbound leads coming in already that's crazy on the side inbound leads as I'm creating this here's another Value Port these are called value posts by the way Guys these are literally just why you post a picture of me here's the quickest way I found to scale your agency from zero to 10K per month to 30 people so it's the same thing I'm doing here right but you just take this these sorts of Concepts and you apply it to your Niche and I'm telling you if you was to spend like like that guy just a second ago he spent what three years trying to call Outreach if he would have just done this like genuinely just start adding people on LinkedIn every single day and dropping one piece of content on LinkedIn every single day for three years he would have wait he would have made way more money and built a massive audience on as a byproduct of that that you can sell to because when you build an audience you're never going to go hungry again is it Okay the reason why I actually quit all businesses and started again from scratch just to prove a point if you haven't watched that video by the way go back it's my last video before this exact video on my channel I literally said look I went I literally built a business to 350k per year run rate right in 14 days flat just to prove to you guys that I know what I'm talking about to prove to you that it's not locked and to prove to you that building an audience is more important than doing cold Outreach because I did know cold Outreach to do that I just used Instagram and YouTube that's it that's it it's literally It Anyway guys let's get back to that so hopefully you guys can kind of see the sort of like content I was creating here's me take a look at this this is how you know guys if you ever want to just look back on my story and just genuinely see if I'm Legit and whatnot you can literally see me in my parents bedroom with my little Sam ovens poster in the background with my goals on the wall look there's a little Lamborghini here we've got the little I actually wanted and here's the craziest thing I've pretty much achieved all of these on this particular like vision board except for this little one house here because it's literally like 2. 5 million for the house or something crazy like that but even then I don't I still even to this day now that I have like a proper system of generating inbound clients where I know I can pay like 60 for a paid call like it was actually a little bit more a little bit less than actually uh generate a call for like 60 let's call it I just don't think that's a lot of money anymore it's really weird when you actually build it build a system but long story short guys as you can see this is literally me with my old microphone I've actually got stolen a microphone on his desk somewhere here in my parents bedroom like this is where I started guys look at me I'm not an expert in anything this is me dead broke talking to real estate agents about what was this video about here's how traditional estate agents are leaving thousands of dollars on the table with their digital marketing how you can avoid this mistake I'm just given the um kind of like free tips here I'm just giving out value content for these guys guys so what I would do is I would start basically just creating content on LinkedIn and I would add as many real estate agents as LinkedIn would allow me to because obviously there's certain limits on it the limits are a little bit harsher these days but you guys can take the same concept and apply it to Facebook you can apply it to Instagram you can apply to any social media honestly again like I said any platform your Niche is hanging out on you start there I would then post one piece of content per day which were like basic tips tricks strategies for real estate agents to use to scale using Facebook ads and I also created a video sales letter a video sales letter is just a I'm pretty sure you guys have opted into some sort of free training basically the exact same thing so a free trading is where you hit a landing page you put in that you put in your name your email and then you go to like a free training and then after the free training you're booking a call with that particular person to create a free training that's what a vsl is so I created Windows for real estate agents and as soon as I released my vsl to be honest with you I was like showing like behind the scenes I would take like I'd create the slides for my vsl and I took a picture of my um vsl I believe it's actually still on my LinkedIn somewhere you'll be able to see if you keep scrolling through my links and go take a look at my LinkedIn by the way like all the way back like four years ago whenever it was yeah like four years ago you scroll all the way down there's actually a picture of my vsl saying here here's a here's a new training I'm putting out for my there we go here's here's the slides oh there you go are you still struggling with listing these and this is what I've actually put you know this is like one of the the second slide in my vsl like the biggest mistakes how and by the way this is like a case study of somebody else's case today which is crazy like Authority hijacked how 90 of estate agents are leaving 10K from the table and the seat the CPR system which is again this is how you know I know what I'm talking about guys I mentioned the unit you have to have a unique mechanism when it comes to this sort of stuff a unique mechanism if you don't know what that is message me on freaking Instagram I'll explain it to you I don't want to get into too much of that right now so as soon as I created it a client actually opted in they watched my vsl and then booked in a call with me and I got on a call with them maybe like two days after that and it was the easiest close of my life because I had all the power they had no objections and not once did they ever ask me for any references any case studies if I had expertise they were already sold coming onto the call and like I said they didn't even have any objections it's just that they had a logistical problem because they were two business owners that wanted to basically talk about the you know one business owner took the call with meaning wanted to basically relay the information over to the other business owner which is why I always recommend recording your calls so you can send it over to the second person and then he watched the Callback and within like a day I think maybe maybe a day went by or something like that maybe two days went by they ended up just wiring me over because I sent the invoice on the call and they ended up wiring me over one thousand dollars per month and then obviously their ad spend was on top of that I didn't charge them ad spend right away and that was a three month minimum contract so yeah guys if you want the actual contract itself just DM me on my Instagram free months on Instagram and I'll send you the updated contract for you for completely free by the way and it took me 33 days versus 15 months so I did 15 months of called out reached thousands of top on top of thousands of called Outreach guys I was doing the mass automation emails I was doing personalized emails I was doing it all using cold calls everything 15 months no clients 33 days into a LinkedIn strategy I already had a client and I also on the back end of that built myself a very small audience that I still have to this day I still have real estate agents on my actual post commenting and stuff like that to this day if you're one of my students instead of six week your name you know what I'm talking about I showed you that now to speed this up in 2023 what you can do and if you got a little bit of money to put behind you guys this right here is a completely free way to go about getting client and when people do accept your friend request obviously on Facebook or your LinkedIn requests or they follow you back on Instagram you've spark a conversation with them you get them on a call and you have a nice conversation you don't send scripts you you have a dive to come back and forth conversation you send them content pieces sales assets if you want help with this DM me as well a long story short you do all of this you get them on a call and then you close them like normal basically it now that's the organic way to do this and I would say this is a little bit slower but it's golden I don't think this will ever stop working because this is just like how humans interact with other humans they come across somebody oh watch your name where are you from what do you do or you help with boiler repairs I don't explain that to me then you end up working with the guy a boiler boiler reports you get a point guys if people buy people is what I'm trying to say and this is just the social media way of doing that same thing I just I just mentioned this is just like inbuilt human psychology and how we just socialize in general what the social on social media just the social media version of that now to speed this up what you can do is you can create one piece of content per day on Instagram for about 12 days straight so you can have like 9 to 12 ish pieces of content don't want to make it obviously extremely valuable to your Niche you then launch one instagram reel ad calling out your target audience and getting them to come and follow you that's your call to action then reach out to all those that like your ad and by the way you run this ad around ten dollars per day you start with ten dollars a day to around 50 a day if you've already got the money if you don't have the money for ads by the way guys I recommend using the organic way which is this up here the organic way of getting clients or you use upwork and you still and you leverage upwork AKA you go maybe sell some shoes online get some connect money for upwork you start learning clients on upwork you then once you start learning clients you leverage your money to actually do this bit here just the kind of like sped up way of doing this you launch one instagram reel you call out your target audience and you spend 10 to 50 a day on that and you reach out to all those that like you follow you engage with your profile any sort of positive engagement you reach out to them and you have a proper conversation with them don't try to sell them straight away you have a conversation with them this is called warm Outreach I mean this is a way of getting inbound leads as well because people will DM you straight away just like hey can you help me like straight away no joke I've in fact I just had a student or should I say client now I'll call them clients now so I'm actually putting an inbuilt system in their business now I just had a client actually wire me 3.
5 K just to work with me without even getting a call with me like from like literally came across my Instagram DM me said he wants to be in the Pro she said she wants to be in the program why the wired me 3. 5 K just like that literally no call of them absolutely insane if you haven't watched that video go back on my channel it's the last video and this by the way I just explained here this is the automated way of building your brand and it's much faster and you can test your audiences much quicker you can test your audience you can test your Niche and you can test your your offer much quicker but I do recommend watching my playlist on my YouTube channel that's pinned to my channel so just go to my YouTube channel you you can't miss it it's the only playlist I have now for those who want my direct help with getting clients with ads and organically if you've got like no ad spend by the way this works even if you've got no ad spend so if you want help with this you want me to help you and work with you for over a period of six months what I do is I help you place a system in your business and I call it the hybrid personal brand and the new system that I've generated is called the hybrid system 2. 0 I know it's a little bit confusing but hybrid system 2.
