Success is rented and the rent is due every single day. Please remember consistency beats intensity. Talent is very overrated and grit is everything and it's your grit, not the great that will carry you when life gets hard.
Learn faster than the world changes. Jobs that didn't exist 5 years back are trending right now. There's never a onesizefits-all version of success.
Future is not something that you get into. Future is something that you create. Stay curious, stay humble, stay a student for life.
Thank you so much. Today I would like to congratulate you not just for the A star and the awards but for the sleepless nights, the pressure and the self-doubt that you all overcame and I think that deserves a huge applause. So congratulations for that.
Many years back I was in your shoes. And when I got my result I thought okay it's done. I've made it.
Only to realize later that that was not the finishing line. That was just a starting point. Today you have proved that you're capable.
Now it's time for you to prove that you're unstoppable. So today I don't want to just share my congratulations. I want to share a compass.
A compass made of three lessons that I really wish someone had told me when I was of your age. So lesson number one, success is rented and the rent is due every single day. So by the way, any Shah Rukhan fans over here?
Anyone? I don't see the hands. Can we have like a huge cheer?
Yes. Okay. Okay.
In an interview, Shah Rukh Khan said he's the last of the stars. So the interviewer asked him what differentiates him from the rest. He said something that actually stuck with me.
He said that people work really really hard to become successful but no one can work harder than me once they have made it. I think that's the only reason that this 60-year-old guy is different from the rest. Truthfully said, I haven't been liking all his movies lately, but oh my god, I will forever be a fan of the relentless effort that this guy puts in every single day.
Now, that's the very reason I'm also a big fan of another guy who's 40 years old and he puts in the same level of dedication every single day. Any guess? 40-year-old guy putting in the same level of effort.
CR7. Well, I won't get into the Messi versus CR7 debate for today. The GOAT is up to you guys, but this guy really motivates me with the level of effort that he puts in.
Now, it's very simple. You can't ride on the achievements of yesterday. Now be it your A level's results or the university or the next job that you'll be you'll always have to show up and work really really hard.
It's as simple as that. Please remember consistency beats intensity every single day. I'm not sure if few of you follow me.
If you do, you'll see me doing a public challenge for the 30 days where every day I take my cell phone and record a video of myself pulling a push-up, one more than yesterday, just to prove the fact that consistency truly truly beats intensity. And please remember, talent is very overrated in this age right now. And grit is everything.
And it's your grit, not the grades, that will carry you when life gets hard. Lesson number two, learn faster than the world changes. The world is moving at a lightning pace.
AI, chat, GPT, automation, you name it. Jobs that didn't exist 5 years back are trending right now. And I honestly believe most of you will do things that don't even exist right now.
And for that, move really fast. Adapt and don't fear failing. I've failed many, many times.
Videos that didn't work, businesses that flopped, ideas that looked brilliant on paper but failed miserably in real life. Now, all these failures taught me resilience and kept me humble. So I urge you to make sure that you never ever fear failure and for that stay curious, stay humble, stay a student for life and for that I always tell this thing never stop learning and that has been my moto for life.
Lesson three, write your own definition of success. It's very important. When I was of your age, I really wanted to make a lot of money.
Then I uploaded my first video and I tasted fame. I felt like Shah Ruk Khan when my first video got 100 shares. And then I saw a lot of people around me building stuff and then I wanted my business to get a lot bigger.
So this is how your purpose of life or definition of success changes. And now with one, two, and three torn ligaments, my only hope is not to get into another injury so that I can keep on playing and running till my very last day. And that would be my biggest success.
So yeah, in a world chasing grades, money, and fame, I really want you to pause and ask yourself, what does success look like for me? For some of you, it might be creating your own company. For some, it might be going abroad and starting a fresh new chapter.
For others, it might be being a great teacher, entrepreneur, doctor, engineer. Whatever that be, own it because that's very important. And remember, there's never a onesizefits-all version of success.
And you know what's the biggest danger? It's living your life by the definition of someone else's success. So please define your success, own it and then chase it relentlessly and that would be my advice for all of you.
Finally, all of you have done something incredible and I'm so really proud of you. But before I leave, I want to leave you with this. Future is not something that you get into.
Future is something that you create and your entire future lies ahead of you. So yeah, as I've mentioned before, today you guys have proved that you're capable. Now it's time for you to prove that you are unstoppable.
For that, move fast, adapt, build new things, stay curious, stay humble, stay a student for life, and yes, go make an amazing history, guys. Thank you so much everyone. Have a great day.
