whenever you put yourself out there you have to expect that you're going to get criticized laughed at people are going to think you're stupid or they're pretty much going to taunt you but don't give people that right it's your life you have to do what you want to do and you should not be giving people the right to dictate what you're doing it's your life you [Applause] decide all right guys so I'm in the gym today's variation from it's not variation it's the third week of um this variation which is floor so this is dynamic upper day pretty much get it off the ground as quick as you can last week I did 55 kilos so this week doing 60 kilos just working on that linear progression as well as the variation should help get my bench up so yeah I'll leave you guys for the clips guys I'd say the hardest part of this like whole movement is basically making sure that your elbows touch the floor at the same time um so I guess you could say with this variation it works a bit of balance as well as how quick you can lock out just something I've had to work on with this variation [Music] all right guys so finished up with my floor press um training with my friend now he just arrived um feeling in a PR mood we're both going for a bench PR I have now flat bench like properly um in a while in like 3 weeks so um you know we'll see how my progress is going um my PR is 90 today I'm going for 95 so I keep looking up so hopefully I'll get it I'll as always I'll show you 70 80 90 and then [Music] 100% [Music] all right guys so 90% up went 90% went up pretty well um here's 100% 955 Kil PR let's get it [Music] all right guys so 95 went well except for the fact that it was not 95 my friend who was loading the other side loaded a 1. 25 rather than a 2. 5 so it was uneven I was overall I did a 93.
75 so that's still a 3. 75 kilo PR except it was unbalanced by 1. 25 kilos okay so I'm going to go for 97.
5 now and I'm going to get it just just trust me I'm going to get this cuz I'm going to use the fact that I'm so pissed off at my friend to help me get this PR all right guys so I hit the 97. 5 kilos that's a 7. 5 kilo PR today as you saw it was quite a grinder but that's really that makes me really happy cuz I been on my powerlifting program for 3 weeks been doing the same two variations but those two variations uh you know incorporating speed and strength has led to a 7.
