I'm a 25-year-old female I work overnight at a store I'm a stalker when I first started the guy around my age got hired a couple months after me he started hanging around another coworker and I on break and we eventually became friends even hanging out alone on breaks sometimes he seemed pretty normal at first agreeable and a good conversationalist he told me he was autistic which I think helped me make excuses for him a bit in hindsight I was in a bad place mentally at the time and having someone validate me felt nice at first but then he started getting touchy I would eventually be telling him more personal stuff and he would start to rub my back I didn't want to be rude at first so I didn't say anything but then he did it more often I told him to stop and he seemed to be sorry until doing it again eventually I was alone with him during all these incidents and the look on his face when he did eventually showed predatory Vibes and not like the friend I thought I had around the time he started doing this he also confessed to me something he did in the past to a friend of his you can probably guess what it's along the lines of he acted quite remorseful and said him and the friend are civil now and that it was a long time ago I think he also cried a bit I'm generally a compassionate person who believes in second chances so while this is when more red flags started going off I still hung out with him a bit although more distantly it didn't help that his General demeanor was is one of a pitiful person nice act he hung out with my boyfriend and I a couple of times he lives near us so we were kind of excited to have someone to hang out with at first but he just kept getting weirder and weirder the few times we hung out he always seemed to be trying to subtly W up my boyfriend in a sarcastic manner there was also a strange time when he did a deep belly laugh at an explicit sexual song playing on his car radio that my boyfriend and I just kind of felt uncomfortable about he made a point to not drink the that much around us when we were drinking despite bragging about how much he could down he rubbed my back yet again at one point while I was drunk when my boyfriend left the room trying to pass it off is comforting he generally tried to be flirtatious whenever my boyfriend left the room eventually enough was enough and I cut him off although I still have to work with him this was last summer we weren't even in friends for that long since then he has come in early every night to put out my work stuff for me leaves me food and water and Gifts stuff that I've mentioned in conversations before parks near me and waits for me to leave the parking lot so we can drive together I guess one time he waited a half hour as I was chatting with another coworker he waits in front of his house for me to pass by him to get home I have to turn on this road to get to my road he still says weird phrases my boyfriend and I used he still texts despite being ignored he left a note saying you really do hate me on my work Court after months of ignoring him he's written my full initials which he remembers somehow on a work cart in marker and leaves the same one out for me every day I always try to erase them I even wrote stop on it once but the next day I'll see he wrote them again oh and whenever he walks by me he looks sad or pissy managers have talked to him and a report is going through HR right now but I just hope he doesn't escalate despite being talked to he still leaves the cart and stuff out for me with some water and rewrites my initials he's so helpful and nice for a quick update nothing really has seemed to happen with HR so far except for him no longer waiting for me and the parking lot I guess the manager talked with him about it I told him to stop leaving work carts out for me and he acted like I was being unreasonable he then wrote my initials again on my work cart while I wasn't looking as well as this a smiley face which it seems he also Drw on every window of my card the other day he is obsessed my roommate V was always at her boyfriend's place so I was essentially living alone in a two-bedroom apartment and my friend Esme was crashing with me while looking for her own place she found a place nearby renting a master bedroom with attached bathroom female only for way cheap we checked out the Google Street View on my laptop and it looked like a cute little beach house she rode her bike over to check it out alone the house was right by the beach and tons of people are always around so we thought nothing of it she said it was two Beach type white guys a young disheveled Stoner guy and a middle-aged parro head guy that would close talk while giving her obvious elevator eyes the whole time she's a pretty petite Mexican girl and she was 21 but looked younger and the older guy kept saying she was just what they were looking for kind of slowly and what she would describe as an Uber creepy voice the younger guy just stared and followed them around she thought it was odd they each slept in the tiny guest rooms and were renting out the master bed room but decided to take a look at it anyway she said it was a really nice room with a big heavy wooden for poster bed in the middle of the room it looked like it belonged in a castle and the bathroom had a huge shower with multiple shower heads on the walls like it was built for a bunch of people to shower at once she didn't like being in the back bedroom with the two guys looming over her so she said it was really stuffy and she wanted to make sure her unlocked bike in the front yard was okay she all but ran to the front yard and once she was outside with bystanders she felt much better so she's standing in the front yard with the older guy and he's explaining that she can move in right away but the bed has to stay exactly where it is it comes with the room and is bolted to the floor so it can't be moved they have special sheets for it and everything so so she can bring all of her stuff but can never move that bed also she can't have friends over but only if they're also young women or girls no men and they can sleep over but also need to sleep in the same bed the hardwood floor was just too uncomfortable the couches in the living room are suede so no one can sleep on them all these were the reasons why a big pile of girls need to sleep on the bed so she's sufficiently creeped out by this guy and texts me to come over I ride my bike over and as I'm pulling up she's leaving we start to ride a little away and this guy yells out after us it's mandatory but we always have a blast she kind of shudders and I ask her what's up she says she'll tell me of her drinks so we ride to the nearest Little Beach Bar she explains about the room the bear the guys and then tells me part of the deal is a mandatory skiing trip to Lake Tahoe in Northern California each year she can invite girls on the trip that have been to the house before if the guys think they're cool enough it's free for her and her girlfriends but mandatory that she go with the guys as their official woman there would be other men there but they all brought their own women he said said it like the women would be assigned to them or something so our mind start racing and we convince ourselves that the bedroom and trip or some elaborate webcam SL BDSM situation or something like that needless to say she never moved in there or took them up on their free ski weekend offer V ended up moving in with her boyfriend and desme moved in with me for a couple of years she was an awesome roommate hey all I decided to tell this story from my time living on campus while in University I was in a single room apartment dorm with a roommate we lived on the second floor we had bunk beds and I slept on the bottom bunk just to give a quick layup out when you walk into our room you immediately face our Tiny Kitchen an l-shape taking up the left wall and left corner to your immediate right would be the foot end of our bunk bed against the wall if you go forward and to the right that's where our desks are at closets and bathroom to the far right so when I'm laying in bed I'm facing the kitchen I have a clear view of the corner counter and our sink anyway I used to sleep ter terribly and would wake up in the middle of the night multiple times a week I usually just wake up in a days and fall asleep after this one particular night I woke up to some soft sounds I figured it was our neighbors in the next building or something because we always kept our kitchen window slightly open to let our room stay cool like I said I woke up and I opened my eyes just a bit and was about to grab my water bottle when I saw some figure sitting on the kitchen counter I didn't move or make a sound I wasn't even that afraid just watching I was in a half asleep days and just watching this person on my counter it was a lanky guy just sitting and looking at our cabinets he wore dark clothes maybe a gray sweater he didn't move and before I could process it all I fell back asleep I told my roommate about it the next morning and she thinks I saw a ghost but I'm not sure we closed and locked our windows from then on and decided to just buy a fan and leave our bathroom window open instead it was Tiny and one of those crank open types I never experienced that again Christmas Eve dinner at Burger King sounds innocent enough right not my first choice but I had to work late and being Christmas Eve it looked like my best choice I got finished working at 9:00 and had some coupons for Burger King so that made my decision for me when I got to Burger King I noticed it was still open but the dining room was shut the only way I could get something is if I went through the drive-thru only problem is I don't have a car I tried to walk up to the drive-thru and place my order but the compassionate young lady working the drive-thru wasn't having it she told me if I didn't have a vehicle I could not use the drive-thru I became rather aggravated and began seeing things that I'm not proud of at this moment an older woman wearing Shining Armor appeared on the scene and off offered me to jump into her car and order my food at first I turned her down not wanting to be a botherer but after some convincing I decided to accept her help after ordering my food it took so long to get it that I missed my bus and got upset the nice woman offered me a ride home and I kind of felt off-put by the offer and declined she was persistent but at the same time nice and convinced me to take her offer mind you I'm a 250 lb 30-some man so I really didn't feel that threatened by a 50-some woman if the circumstances were different I would not have taken the ride after I told her where I lived we proceeded to my place about 5 minutes from my house she made a wrong turn I explained that I live the other way and that we needed to turn around or let me out here and I will walk the rest of the way home it was then that the woman's demeanor changed and she told me that she could not let me spend Christmas Eve alone and that she was taking me to her house I told her that I needed to get home immediately to let my dog out and that I would be fine the woman then tried to entice me with cocaine and liquor at her place but since I'm in recovery I told her I wasn't interested she refused to turn around or let me out and started to drive strangely not stopping at stop signs I'm not going to lie my mind was racing and I began to sweat I knew that I could physically overpower this woman but what awaited me at her house I also felt bad about hurting her after all of her kindness but I had to get away before we got to her house and I didn't know where that was so I didn't know how much time I had then all all of a sudden luckily the car in front was stopped at a stop sign and across from it another was stopped also she had to slow down to almost a stop at this point and this is where I made my break I jumped out with the car still moving leaving my food in the car and I took off running as I was running away she stopped and got out of her car and began trying to talk me into getting back in the car with her that just wasn't an option I don't know what her motives were or who she was but I knew I wasn't willing to risk my life over it I ran all the way home and made sure I wasn't followed what would have happened to me if it was 2 years earlier and I was still doing drugs and drinking her offer of cocaine and booze would have probably worked kidnapping murder sex trafficking organ trait or whatever else being a man the thought of the vulnerability most women face every day was so foreign to me and now I understand the fear most women face I really feel this nice woman had a nefarious purpose and that I just so happened to be the perfect victim of opportunity my mind races wouldn't the roots of such a non unthreatening bait just be perfect to lower the guard of a prospective victim any thoughts would be appreciated I never went to the cops because I felt they might not believe me or they might look down on me for being scared should I place a police report what if by me not reporting this that someone else ends up getting hurt or am I just jumping the gun and con conclusions this happened years ago when I gotten my first actual job not just babysitting or working at a family friend's restaurant and just keeping my tips I didn't think much of it I figured it was Harless I could find people around the country to chat with learn about some other cultures you know all that kind of stuff I wouldn't give out personal information about myself no phone number address any of that but I wasn't stupid I was bored no friends in my city all of my friends were back in my hometown I wanted to fill the time in loneliness and talk to people I heard about these websites to meet pen pals around the world I made a simple profile stated what kind of friends I was interested in making just basic stuff after about a month I received a message from a man I don't remember it word for word but it basically said hi I found your profile and I'm really interested in being friends he then stated he lives in the same state as me though I know maybe it was rude to be snobby about someone in my state contacting me I did politely say on my profile that I was trying to make some pen pals outside of the US I responded politely though and I replied to a few of his messages for a while I found out he lived in the same city as me I see you like anime I love anime I also see you've been to Japan I've been to Japan too do you go to Anime conventions maybe we could go together to the next convention that comes to town I felt a bit uncomfortable I put right on my page I have no intention to meet up with anyone just have an online pen pal I politely told him that and he didn't like it I just thought we could be friends since we have similar interests I again politely told him I'm not interested in meeting anyone in person from the website he pretended to be fine with it and went right back to rambling about his interests I logged out of the website for a few days and just focused on my personal life going to work and doing schoolwork and taking care of my disabled father one day I woke up to notifications on multiple of my instant messenger apps all stating basically the same thing hey it's Hugo from the penpal website smiley face he messaged me on like four of my chat apps which I did not give him how did he find it I was really annoyed as politely as I could I messaged him on the penal website hey so I don't know how you found my IDs for my chat apps but that was kind of over the line that wasn't really appropriate not one app but you messaged me on like four I wrote to him I'm sorry but I really wanted to talk to you and you haven't been on the website for a few days he replied that doesn't make it okay I also have a personal life and a job and family I cannot spend all my time on here I sent him that's why I messaged you on those apps he wrote I don't have them listed on my profile how did you even find them I asked he avoided the subject I'm sorry that I did that I'm just trying to be your friend I just want to be friends with you this isn't the way to do it I'm very uncomfortable that you somehow found that information that I didn't give you I don't think we should talk anymore more I don't want to be friends with you I'm sorry please do not contact me again I immediately blocked him on all of those apps and on the penp pal website for a few months everything was fine suddenly I got a message on one of the apps and the user wasn't in my friend's list the message was basically as follows you stupid fat ugly no one will ever love you you'll never find a man to love you you're so fat and ugly why don't you just end it all do the world a favor I rolled my eyes and blocked the account throughout the course of a year every few months across my multiple social media platforms I was being harassed I had completely forgotten about the man until I received a message on the penp pal website the account had no name or photos it was a random username the message I received was the same nonsense as before calling me fat and ugly saying I'm a telling me I should die once I got the message on that website I knew it had to be him I'd had no other issues with anyone I replied saying the guy's name telling him I know it was him and that his behavior is really sad and pathetic I just wanted to be your friend watch your back then the account blocked me for a few more months nothing really happened I got one or two messages from fake accounts again but I grown used to it and just immediately blocked them then one day I received a Facebook message from a police officer he was contacting me about a profile I apparently made on a website called Ashley Madison it is used for people to have affairs hookups whatever else I'd never heard of it before then and absolutely did not have an account there I had a long talk with him where he told me his Department investigates human trafficking and thought I was an underage girl possibly in danger it had my personal Facebook account listed on the profile as well as other ways to contact me I was in shock he advised me to contact the website and asked them to take down the profile but said to me you seem like a sweet girl I don't know who you pissed off but don't read the profile my curiosity got the better of me but I should have taken his advice using some of my normal selfies an account was made and the profile stated a lot of horrible things very derogatory it made me sick to my stomach to read some of the things it said I apparently wanted to have done to me thankfully the website took quick action to take down the profile the next time I got one of those hate messages online I snapped I didn't hold back cursing him out for being so immature and disgusting because someone simply did not want to be his friend the account blocked me without answering I didn't get a message from accounts for a while one day when I was the closer at work I was waiting outside for a family member to pick me up I didn't have my own vehicle and my family would give me rights to and from work as I was listening to music waving goodbye to my manager as they drove off I got a notification on one of my apps you ugly I sighed rolling my eyes as I opened the message as I was typing another message came in that made me stop typing and freeze up you're all alone now I could end you right now if I wanted to nobody would ever find you I backed up against the building I didn't have keys only the manager did who just left I looked around through the parking lot not a car Insight the street lights Shone dimly around me my heart started to race as more messages came in you're so ugly you know that no one would ever fall in love with you your family probably won't even miss you you disgusting I should just end you right now I started to cry the phone shaking in my hands just as another text came in a car pulled up in front of me it was my family member coming to pick me up up I took a deep breath and quickly got into the car sorry I'm late I got stuck at two red lights your manager already left they just left you alone out here just drive I accidentally screamed at them tears streaming down my face what's wrong did something happen at work I was crying shaking they took my phone and looked at it seeing the messages what the who the hell is this texting you I don't know who it is please just drive I want to get out of here we went back to their place and they wanted to call the police but I told them not to I had no idea who they were where to find them to make a police report against them instead they called another family member who works in the it field after they heard the whole story everything I've endured for almost 2 years they told me I should have made new accounts from the beginning of this harassment I listened to them and right then and there I made new accounts on all of my social media I worked at that job for another month but my family member had told my manager what happened so I was never put on closing shifts again I was only given morning shifts where I clocked out of work when the sun was still out but I still did not feel safe they knew where I worked my manager understood when I quit all the harassment stopped to this day I still haven't received any more of those messages now I'm married I still live in this city and I don't live in that neighborhood anymore I feel comfortable and I don't feel afraid that this person will find me and stalk me again but even now anytime I get a random message from someone who isn't in my friend's list my heart races for a second this occurred a few years ago in 2019 whilst my partner and I were taking a road trip across British Columbia Canada we'd rented a car from Vancouver and were just making our way way towards bth up to Jasper then back towards Vancouver via Whistler a little anticlockwise Loop all in we traveled for around 5 weeks total sleeping in National Park campsites or rest stops along the way one evening somewhere along the Crows Nest Highway between pson and Castlegar we arrived at a Provincial Park Campground where we intended to stay the night a nice easy spot next to a lake with a large parking area many benches and a wooden shelter but Far From Any civilization there were already a few other people there with motor homes and Caravans we were the only ones with a tent we arrived before dark set up the tent sharing a few polite greetings with the other campers there was one guy in particular an old chap I would guess to have been late 60s with a motor home who was very friendly and chatty but a little too chatty he noticed we had our coffee pot a mocha with us and mentioned that he had a 5 kg bag of coffee beans in his motor home if we wanted some though he followed up by saying he didn't even drink coffee because he didn't like the taste of it he persisted in offering for us to come to his motor home to get some beans this sounded a little odd we politely declined he eventually left us we got our tent pitched and went toep prepare dinner in the on-site shelter my partner and I shared a few glances to each other clearly neither of us felt particularly comfortable around this guy but perhaps he was harmless we kept our eyes open while we were cooking and noticed he wandered off towards the lake presumably for a walk while we were eating we spotted him returning trying to avoid being seen we just avoided eye contact and got stuck into our dinner unfortunately he spotted us and wandered over despite us being partway through eating he began chatting with us being the type of people who never want to be rude or offend we politely returned conversation nodded and ate I don't remember the whole conversation but a couple of things stood out to us he asked questions about our relationship were we married did we live together did we have children did we want to have children some questions bordering on being a little too personal it could have been considered innocent coming from a relative or a friend but coming from this stranger we just felt some uncomfortable undertones to his questioning he noticed we were drinking water with our meal and asked us if we drank Coca-Cola he mentioned that he had a multi pack of Coca-Cola cans in his motor home if we wanted some though he said he didn't drink the stuff himself he again persisted in inviting us to his motor home to take a couple of cans each we politely declined at this point the light was fading so we took ourselves down to the lake for a quick walk brushing our teeth as we walked rubbish bag in hand to dispose of in the bins at the bottom of the car par Park as we approached the bins we noticed a large shadowy figure leaning into one of the bins startle by our presence it jumped down from the bin onto all fours and ran for the tree line both my partner and I froze there was no mistaking it the large cat-like silhouette with a long slender tail we'd just interrupted a mountain lion foraging through the bins thankfully it was more afraid of us and made have run for the trees before we'd even realized what we'd seen startled we both turned back and fast walk walked back up the hill agreeing that we would instead sleep in the car that evening not knowing whether that mountain lion would have been lurking nearby just beyond the tree line or not but we decided not to chance it we reclined the seats locked the doors and slept until morning thinking of the close encounter with the mountain lion and having put the creepy old camper to the back of our minds in the morning we woke early before anyone else packed the tent and got the hell out of there heading for whatever town was next on the map relieved to have left that entire scenario behind we didn't bump into either of the creepy old guy or the mountain lion again continuing on our journey we wondered if perhaps we'd misread the whole situation with the creepy old guy but I like to think that our intuition is pretty good and both of us sensed there was something off later that day I received a call from my brother back home checking up on us and making sure we were okay he had seen on the news that there was a Manhunt underway in BC after a Spate of killings that week and naturally he was concerned for us it turns out there were two guys on the run after murdering three people further north towards Alaska the suspect didn't resemble the old guy we met in any way but it did make us wonder what his intentions were thinking back to that experience we wonder if we overreacted whether This creepy camper was just some harmless Grandpa looking for company and conversation or perhaps we were fortunate and avoided a much different fate trust your gut if something doesn't feel right thank you if you made it this far I'm curious to hear anyone's thought on this situation and whether we should have handled it differently around first grade I became friends with this kid named Stan he was a couple of years older than I was but he had a sister that was my age who I was also friends with I also had a wicked crush on their oldest brother James I was that girl who chased the poor uninterested boys all around the playground I lost contact with all three around Middle School of course when Facebook happened I began getting in touch with people I'd gone to school with it was a moderately sized K through 8th school so you were basically with the exact same group of kids through each grade this makes for some pretty strong bonds I believe because there's a lot of us who kept in contact after moving on to high school for a little while before drifting apart because of this I was always really excited when I got back in touch with those people however not all of these connections have been positive I got a friend request from Stan one day under a different name the messages were the typical how's it going what have you You' been up to and whatever else then he started sending messages that were about my looks they weren't obscene but they did make me a bit uncomfortable he started pushing to meet up I can't explain it but I just had a really off feeling about him so I would kind of avoid making any kind of plans he continued to be pushy about things and finally I just stopped responding to his messages I should also mention here that when I first accepted Stan's friend request he literally went through every single one of my pictures and liked them that should have been my first clue but I just let it go then I started getting messages from friends and even some family members asking me about him Stan was going through and basically sending everyone friend requests by this point I'm like what the this is weird but things got really nuts when my cousin informed me that dad had not only tried to friend her he'd also sent her a message asking all sorts of questions about me such as things I liked or places I like to go my cousin was concerned that he was sending those kind of messages to other people who might actually tell him what he wanted to know I debated sending Stan a message telling him to back the off but I decided to just block him and changed all my Facebook settings to make it as private as I possibly possibly could I also sent out a mass message to all of my friends and family informing them of the situation and to kindly not give out any of my personal information I had been friends with James but ended up blocking him as well just to prevent Stan from getting access to anything things were quiet for about a week then the friend requests from random accounts started coming in some didn't have pictures some had random images they were accompanied by messages that made it clear they were all from Stan full of skevy comments on my looks and how he wanted to hook up that's putting it mildly every day I had an account that needed to be blocked I contacted Facebook about the situation though that didn't really offer any kind of help it finally came to a stop when I threatened Stan with police intervention my boyfriend at the time threatened to dismal Stan and feed him his intestines with a sight of FAA beans and a nice keante the piece lasted for about a year then I got a friend request from a girl I'd also gone to school with named Kelsey we talked pretty frequently both online and over the phone she wanted us to hang out so we talked about that but then she started bringing it up more frequently persistently I started to get get that weird feeling again that something wasn't quite right then came the bombshell Kelsey and Stan were dating we'd all been in the same class so the fact that they knew each other wasn't strange but for them to be dating I confronted Kelsey about it and blocked her but because we talked on the phone they had my cell number of course both began calling and texting crazy things nonstop I finally had to get my number changed it's been over 10 years since all of this and I haven't heard from Stan once Kelsey did try to friend me recently with a different account and to look through her Facebook show she's married to another man and there's no evidence of Stan I'm not taking any chances though so she is still blocked I live right beside a funeral home owned by an old man I've lived here for a couple of years right in the center of my town and never had any issues until a few months ago when strange things started to occur we share a 5-ft fence and behind a funeral home is a small parking lot that stays empty except for the hearse there's a small hill and a tree line I've never seen the old man who owns and lives in the funeral home I only hear him play a piano at around 9:00 p. m. once a week one night around 2: to 3:00 a.
m. I was outside smoking and I see this huge shadow-like figure it was about 10 to 15 ft tall by the trees when I start recording on my phone I have seen that tree line a thousand times because it's right in my point of view from where I sit I've never seen anything so bizarre until a few weeks after that I was upstairs fixing my curtain in the window just shy of midnight when I spot a man's face looking up at me this was behind my house and the man who lives behind me was in his apartment watching TV the man sits next to his window I could only see what looked like an unfamiliar man face which was lit up in a bluish gray tint he was just looking straight up at me he had a pale face and dark eyes and I can only describe his facial expression as dark and chilling I could just feel in my gut that something wasn't right I had the overwhelming sense of dread so I took my phone and started to record him from below when I was recording I noticed noticed my phone was picking up multiple faces in the dark I think I counted four to five pale translucent ghostly faces surrounding the first one in some of the video now I know it could just be face paradia I tried to see myself as a logical person but this was so ominous I was very frightened other strange noises like tapping and scratching on my walls hearing waking noises at 2:00 a. m.
