have you ever wondered if God communicates with you through dreams what does it mean when a dream feels so vivid that it seems real today on this fascinating Journey we will explore one of the deepest Mysteries of the Bible through the story of Daniel Daniel was the only one who could interpret a dream that God revealed to the king of Babylon every night King Nebuchadnezzar had the same mysterious and Vivid dream it was a terrifying Vision that kept him awake each night he would wake up agitated with sweat covering his forehead Daniel not only deciphered
dreams and enigmas of his time but also interpreted future prophecies that are yet to be fulfilled Daniel learned the keys to Discerning the prophecies behind dreams and interpreting God's message in them but Daniel's story is much more than that of a dream interpreter Daniel was a Visionary Prophet who faced lions and Kings to uphold his unwavering faith the story of Daniel and his friends began long before their encounter with King Nebuchadnezzar they were Noble young men taken from their home in Jerusalem and brought into captivity in Babylon stripped of their families and their land they
found themselves in a foreign land where challenges were innumerable and their faith in God was their only sustenance upon arriving in Babylon they were chosen to serve in the Royal Palace because of their Noble l lineage physical appearance intelligence and skills King Nebuchadnezzar had ordered ashpenaz chief of his officials to bring some of the Israelites from the royal family and nobility young men without physical defect handsome intelligent and wise capable of serving in the Royal Palace ashpenaz was to teach them the language and literature of the Babylonians and for three years they were to be
provided with the King's food and wine so that at the end of that time they might serve the king but Daniel determined not to defile himself with the King's food proposed an alternative to ashpenaz the chief of the Unix please test your servants for 10 days and let us be given vegetables to eat and water to drink then compare our appearance with that of the young men who eat the King's food ashpenaz surprised by the Bold request hesitated what would happen if the king saw Daniel and his friends looking more Haggard than the others his
own life could be in danger but then something in Daniel's eyes a mix of conviction and peace convinced him to give them a chance for those 10 days Daniel haniah mishael and Azariah ate only vegetables and drank only water every day the rest of the young men in the palace enjoyed the king's lavish feasts while these four Young young men maintained their simple diet trusting in Divine favor Suddenly at the end of the 10 days Ash panaz called them for evaluation with critical eyes he compared Daniel and his friends with the other young men to
his astonishment he found them healthier and better nourished than those who had eaten the King's food the difference was so remarkable that ashpenaz decided to maintain their special diet for the rest of their training not only did their appearance improve but also their intellect and wisdom God gave them knowledge and intelligence in all literature and science additionally Daniel received the ability to understand all kinds of visions and dreams at the end of the 3 years Nebuchadnezzar called all the trained young men for a personal evaluation when the king spoke with Daniel Shadrach mesach and Abednego
he was impressed by their wisdom and understanding far more more than the rest but one night the mysterious dream began to trouble and agitate the king his nights turned into torment and fear was reflected in his eyes each morning in the dream there was an enormous statue made of various materials the head of gold the chest and arms of silver the belly and thighs of bronze the legs of iron and the feet of iron and baked clay suddenly a stone not cut by human hands broke off from a mountain and struck the statue reducing it
to dust then the wind carried away the dust without leaving a trace and the stone became a great Mountain that filled the whole earth one night the dream made him jump out of bed his heart pounding wildly desperate he summoned all his magicians enchanters and astrologers and commanded them interpret my dream but the wise men of Babylon fearful asked the king to tell them the Dream First Nebuchadnezzar irritated responded harshly if you do not reveal the dream and its interpretation you will be cut into pieces and your houses turned into Rubble but if you do
you will receive great rewards the wise men trembling replied that what the king asked was impossible no one could reveal a dream without having heard it first Nebuchadnezzar's Fury overflowed he ordered that all the wise men of B babyon be executed if they could not reveal and interpret his troubling dream Daniel and his friends were Among The Condemned wise men when arok the captain of the Guard came to arrest them Daniel with unshakable calm asked why has the king issued such a severe decree arok explained the situation and Daniel asked to be taken before the
king in front of Nebuchadnezzar Daniel requested time to seek the dream's interpretation Against All Odds the king granted him a brief reprieve Daniel returned to his friends and asked them to join him in fervent prayer pleading with God for mercy and Revelation suddenly in the quiet of the night while Daniel slept God revealed the dream's mystery to him in a vision he woke with a mix of awe and gratitude exclaiming praise be to the name of God forever and ever wisdom and power are his he changes times and seasons he deposes Kings and raises up
others he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the Discerning no wise man enchanter magician or diver can explain to the king the mystery he has asked about but there is a God in heaven who reveals Mysteries he has shown King Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in days to come Daniel described the dream precisely narrating the vision of the enormous statue composed of various materials each part of the statue represented different kingdoms starting with the head of gold symbolizing Nebuchadnezzar's Kingdom the most glorious of all as he moved down the statue the materials became less
valuable representing a succession of Kingdoms each inferior to the previous one until the Eternal kingdom of God represented by the stone destroyed them all finally the stone cut without human hands which destroyed the statue and became a great Mountain represented the Eternal kingdom of God that would end all human kingdoms and endure forever Daniel explained in the time of those kings the god of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed nor will it be left to another people it will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end but it
will itself endure Forever The Silence in the room was palpable when Daniel finished speaking Nebuchadnezzar astonished and moved fell prostrate before Daniel recognizing the greatness of the god of Israel certainly your God is the god of gods and the Lord of Kings and the revealer of mysteries the king in a surprising turn of events elevated Daniel to a position of great honor giving him many valuable gifts he made him governor of the entire province of Babylon and chief of all the wise men of the Kingdom not content with this Daniel asked the king to also
promote his friends Shadrach mhach and Abednego and Nebuchadnezzar recognizing their loyalty and wisdom granted them high positions in the administration of the Kingdom after Daniel's astonishing interpretation of the dream King Nebuchadnezzar filled with pride and power ordered the construction of a gigantic gold statue on the plain of dura towering High into the sky Nebuchadnezzar summoned all the governors magistrates and officials of the Kingdom to attend the dedication of the statue but then something unexpected happened in the midst of the crowd bowing obediently before the statue three figures stood firm and upright Shadrach meach and Abednego
refused to worship the golden image this act of Bravery did not go unnoticed the calans envious and resentful ran to inform the king about the Disobedience of the three Hebrew youths these men O King have paid no attention to you they neither serve your Gods nor worship the golden image you have set up Nebuchadnezzar's rage flared violently with eyes sparking with Fury he ordered Shadrach meach and Abednego to be brought before him is it true Shadrach meach and Abednego that you do not serve my gods or worship the golden image I have set up he
gave them one last chance if they bowed and worshiped the statue when they heard the music their lives would be spared but if they refused they would be immediately thrown into a blazing furnace with a calm that defied all logic Shadrach mesach and Abednego replied we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter if we are thrown into the Blazing furnace the God we serve is able to Deliver Us from it and he will Deliver Us from your Majesty's hand and but even if he does not we want you to know O
King that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up Nebuchadnezzar's Fury knew no bounds he ordered the furnace to be heated seven times hotter than usual and commanded the three youths to be bound and thrown into the fire the soldiers who carried out the order fell Dead from the intense heat as they threw Shadrach meach and Abednego into the furnace but then something extraordinary happened Nebuchadnezzar expecting to see the young men consumed by the Flames stood up in astonishment look I see four men walking around in the
fire Unbound and unharmed and the fourth looks like a son of the Gods Nebuchadnezzar astonished and trembling approached the furnace and shouted Shadrach meach and Abednego Servants of the most high God come out come here the three young men came out of the fire and all those present saw that not a single hair on their heads was singed their robes were not scorched and there was no smell of fire on them the king filled with reverence and awe declared praise be to the god of Shadrach meach and Abednego who has sent his Angel and rescued
his servants who trusted in him they defied the King's Command and were willing to give up their lives rather than serve or worship any God except their own God then Nebuchadnezzar issued a decree therefore I decree that the people of Any Nation or language who say anything against the god of Shadrach meach and Abednego be cut into pieces and their houses be turned into piles of rubble for no other God can save in this way then the king promoted Shadrach meach and Abednego in the province of Babylon elevating them to positions of even greater honor
and responsibility not long after the miracle in the Blazing furnace Nebuchadnezzar was once again troubled by a dream but this dream was different more unsettling and ominous one night while sleeping in his opulent Palace the king had a vision of a great tree that stretched to the sky it was Majestic and visible from all corners of the earth providing shelter and sustenance to all living creatures but suddenly a Heavenly voice proclaimed cut down the tree trim off its branches strip off its leaves and Scatter its fruit let the animals flee from under it and the
birds from its branches but let the stump and its roots bound with iron and bronze remain in the ground in the grass of the field let him be drenched with the Dew of heaven and let him live with the animals among the plants of the earth Nebuchadnezzar awoke startled sweaty and with a pounding heart he summoned all his wise men and divers but as before none could interpret the dream desperate and recalling Daniel's wisdom he ordered that Daniel be brought before him Daniel came before The King and upon hearing the dream his face darkened he
knew the meaning of the dream and its grave implications for Nebuchadnezzar my Lord if only the dream applied to your enemies and its meaning to your adversaries with a firm but compassionate voice Daniel explained the great tree you saw which grew large and strong with its top touching the sky visible to the whole earth you oh King are that tree you have become great and strong your greatness has grown until it reaches the sky and your Dominion extends to distant parts of the Earth but then Daniel revealed the hardest part of the message the decree
of the most high which has come upon my Lord the king is that you will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals you will eat grass like cattle and be drenched with the Dew of Heaven seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the most high is Sovereign over all kingdoms on Earth and gives them to anyone he wishes Daniel with a deep sense of urgency and mercy added therefore O King be pleased to accept my advice renounce your sins by doing what is right and your wickedness
by being kind to the oppressed it may be that then your Prosperity will continue Nebuchadnezzar listened to Daniel's words but his Heart full of Pride and self-sufficiency did not heed the Divine warning 12 months later as he was walking on the roof of the Royal Palace of Babylon he boasted is not this the great Babylon I have built as the Royal residence by my mighty power and for the glory of my Majesty but then a voice from Heaven interrupted his arrogance this is what is decreed for you King Nebuchadnezzar your Royal Authority has been taken
from you you will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals you will eat grass like cattle seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the most high is Sovereign over all kingdoms on Earth and gives them to anyone he wishes suddenly the most powerful King in the world was reduced to the condition of a beast his nails grew like those of birds and his hair like the feathers of an eagle he wandered the fields eating grass and living under the Open Sky completely removed moved from the life
and power he once knew however God's mercy was never far at the end of the seven times Nebuchadnezzar lifted his eyes to heaven and his reason returned to him I blessed the most high I praised and honored him who lives forever his Dominion is an everlasting dominion and his kingdom endures from generation to generation he recognized that all his power and greatness were nothing compared to the sovereignty of the god of Heaven with his repentance Nebuchadnezzar was restored to his throne and his greatness returned to him with even more Splendor now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and
exalt and glorify the king of Heaven because all his works are true and his ways are just and those who walk in Pride he is able to Humble shortly after this event Daniel had another disturbing and revealing Vision this time he found himself in the Citadel of Souza by the Uli canal [Music] as he watched he saw a ram standing beside the canal the ram had two long horns but one of the horns grew longer than the other the ram charged toward the west the North and the South and no animal could stand against it
and it did as it pleased and became great but suddenly a goat came from the West crossing the whole earth without touching the ground the goat had a prominent horn between its eyes in a furious charge it ran at the RAM and struck it with such force that it shattered its horns the ram was powerless to stand against it it was trampled and no one could Rescue It the goat became very great but at the height of its power its large horn was broken off and in its place four prominent horns grew up toward the
Four Winds of Heaven out of one of them came another horn which started small but grew in power toward the South the East and toward the beautiful land it grew until it reached the host of the heavens and it threw some of the starry host down to the Earth and trampled on them the vision left Daniel perplexed and deeply troubled as he sought to understand it a voice called out from the other side of the canal Gabriel tell this man the meaning of the vision the angel Gabriel approached Daniel and explained the vision's meaning the
Ram with two horns represented the kings of media and Persia while the goat symbolized the king of Greece the large horn between the goat's eyes was the first King Alexander the Great when the large horn was broken off four horns took its place representing four kingdoms that would emerge from his Nation but would not have the same power the small horn that grew in power represented a Fierce and cunning King who would arise in the latter part of their reign this king would challenge the holy people and succeed in his own schemes causing great destruction
he would even dare to stand against the prince of princes but he would be destroyed not by human power Gabriel's interpretation brought Clarity but also a sense of inevitability and Dread Daniel understood that the kingdoms of the earth no matter how powerful were subject to the decrees of the most high the kingdoms of media and Persia would be replaced by Greece and in time a terrible king would rise bringing great suffering but in the midst of these dark prophecies there was also a Light Of Hope God's kingdom would Prevail and those who challenged his sovereignty
would be defeated Daniel was exhausted and sick for several days overwhelmed by the gravity of the vision nevertheless he knew he had to get up and continue the king's business yet his mind remained troubled by the vision pondering its meaning and how to prepare for the future events many years after Nebuchadnezzar's Madness and restoration the Throne of Babylon was occupied by King belshazzar Nebuchadnezzar's grandson he was known for his arrogance and disdain toward the god of Israel one night belshazzar held a great feast for a thousand of his Nobles amid the opulence and excess he
ordered that the gold and silver goblets that his grandfather Nebuchadnezzar had taken from the temple in Jerusalem be brought so that he and his guests might drink from them with these sacred vessels he and his guests drank praising the gods of gold silver bronze iron wood and stone but suddenly in the midst of the rry something unexpected happened belshazzar saw a hand separate from anybody riding on the wall of the palace illuminated by the light of a lampstand his face turned pale his knees knocked together and he was overcome with Terror the writing on the
wall was a mystery none of the wise men divers or astrologers of the Kingdom could interpret it the Queen Mother recalling the days of Nebuchadnezzar suggested that bazer call for Daniel known for his wisdom and ability to interpret Mysteries Daniel now elderly was brought before the king belshazzar promised to clothe him in purple place a gold chain around his neck and make him the third highest ruler in the Kingdom if he could interpret the writing but Daniel with a calm that contrasted with the king's Panic responded you may keep your gifts for yourself and give
your rewards to someone else nevertheless I will read the writing for the king and tell him what it means before revealing the meaning of the words Daniel reminded Bel Shazer of his grandfather Nebuchadnezzar's Story how his pride had led to Madness and how only when he acknowledged God's sovereignty was He restored then Daniel rebuked belshazzar for not learning from that example but instead becoming proud and defiling the sacred vessels from the temple then Daniel proceeded to interpret the mysterious words many many tikle up paren he explained that many meant that God had numbered the days
of belshazzar's Reign and brought it to an end tekle meant that belshazzar had been weighed on the scales and found wanting and upup Parson or Paris meant that the kingdom would be divided and given to the mes and Persians here is what these words mean men God has numbered the days of your Reign and brought it to an end tekle you have been weighed on the scales and found wanting perz your kingdom is divided and given to the mes and Persians belshazzar though shaken by the prophecy fulfilled his promise and ordered that Daniel be clothed
in purple a gold chain placed around his neck and proclaimed named him the third highest ruler in the Kingdom but the warning came too late that very night while Babylon celebrated without a care the troops of King Cyrus the Great led by Darius the Meade infiltrated the city they had diverted the Euphrates river which protected the city and entered through the gates that the Babylonians had carelessly left open without significant resistance Babylon fell and belshazzar was killed God's judgment announced by the writing on the wall was fulfilled to the letter the once powerful and glorious
Babylonian Empire was handed over to the mes and Persians Daniel faithful and steadfast in his service to God was preserved and found righteous amidst the chaos and destruction the fall of Babylon marked the end of an era but also the beginning of another with babylon's fall the kingdom was divided and Darius the Meade became the new ruler recognizing Daniel's wisdom and integrity Darius appointed him one of the three Chief administrators over the 120 satraps who governed the provinces Daniel distinguished himself so much by his exceptional qualities that Darius planned to set him over the whole
Kingdom but then the other satraps and administrators filled with envy and resentment sought a way to destroy Daniel however they could find no corruption in him for he was trustworthy and neither corrupt nor negligent suddenly they devised a cunning plan they knew that the only way to trap him would be in relation to his Devotion to his god with cunning they convinced Darius to issue a decree prohibiting anyone from praying to any God or man except the king for 30 days the penalty for disobeying the decree would be to be thrown into the lion's den
Darius unsuspecting of The Conspirator intentions signed the decree making it an irrevocable law of the mes and Persians upon learning of the decree Daniel as was his custom knelt in his room with the windows open toward Jerusalem and prayed three times a day giving thanks to his God the conspirators waiting for this moment caught him in the act of praying and quickly reported to the king about Daniel's transgression Darius distressed by the Betrayal and the danger that loomed over Daniel sought until sunset to find a way to save him but the laws of the mes
and Persians could not be repealed with a heavy heart Darius ordered Daniel to be thrown into the lion's den expressing his hope that Daniel's God would deliver him Daniel was cast into the lion's den and a stone was placed over the mouth of the den sealed with the king's signate ring and the rings of his Nobles so that the decision could not be altered that night Darius could not sleep he fasted and rejected the usual entertainment worried about the fate of his faithful servant but then at dawn the king got up and hurried to the
Lion's Den with an anguished voice he called out Daniel servant of the Living God has your God whom you serve continually been able to rescue you from the Lions to his amazement and relief he heard Daniel's voice oh King live forever my God sent his Angel and he shut the mouths of the Lions they have not hurt me because I was found innocent in his sight nor have I ever done any wrong before you O King Darius Overjoyed ordered that Daniel be lifted out of the den the conspirators who had plotted his downfall were thrown
into the den along with their families and before they reached the floor the Lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones Darius deeply impressed by the miracle issued a proc clation to the entire Kingdom that the god of Daniel should be revered he declared that Daniel's God is the Living God whose kingdom will not be destroyed and whose Dominion will endure Forever This Act of Faith and Courage by Daniel not only saved his life but also led to a public acknowledgment of the power and sovereignty of his God throughout the Empire Daniel now in his
old age but still full of fervor and wisdom had a series of night visions that would be crucial for understanding the future on one of those nights while he slept he was transported to a terrifying and fascinating Scene It was not an ordinary dream it was a vision Laden with symbols and hidden messages in his vision the Four Winds of Heaven stirred up the great sea and four enormous beasts emerged from the water each stranger and more fearsome than the last the first Beast was like a lion with Eagle's Wings but suddenly its wings were
torn off and it was lifted from the ground so that it stood on two feet like a human and it was given the mind of a human the second beast looked like a bear raised up on one side and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth it was told to get up and eat its fill of Flesh the third Beast was like a leopard and on its back it had four wings like those of a bird this Beast had four heads and it was given authority to rule but then a fourth Beast
appeared terrifying and fright frightening and very powerful it had large iron teeth it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left it was different from all the former beasts and it had 10 horns while Daniel was contemplating the horns another horn a little one came up among them and three of the first horns were uprooted before it this horn had eyes like the eyes of a human and a mouth that spoke boastfully in his vision Daniel was troubled and did not understand the meaning of these Beast s suddenly he saw the heavens
open and Thrones were set in place an Ancient of Days took his seat his clothing was as white as snow the hair of his head was white like wool his throne was flaming with fire and its Wheels were all Ablaze a river of fire was flowing coming out from before him thousands upon thousands attended him 10,000 times 10,000 stood before him then the court was seated and the books were opened the fourth Beast was slain and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire the other beasts had been stripped of their Authority but were
allowed to live for a period of time then Daniel saw one like a son of man coming with the Clouds Of Heaven he approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence he was given Authority glory and Sovereign power All Nations and peoples of every language worshiped him his Dominion is an everlasting Dominion that will will not pass away and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed confused and disturbed by what he had seen Daniel approached one of those standing there and asked him the meaning of all this he explained that
the four beasts were four kingdoms that would rise from the Earth but the holy people of the most high would receive the kingdom and possess it forever yes forever and ever Daniel was deeply affected by the vision and its interpretation though the kingdoms of the Earth would rise and fall with great turmoil God's kingdom would be established with Justice and Eternity this Revelation provided him with renewed hope but also a sense of the gravity of the future then in another Vision Daniel was once again transported to a Heavenly scene this time he saw the Ancient
of Days Seated on his throne and a Divine being the son of man brought before him this Divine being was given Authority glory and a kingdom that would never be destroyed the Majesty of this Vision reassured Daniel that no matter the challenges and adversities God's kingdom would Prevail Daniel's Visions not only gave him a glimpse of the future but also a profound sense of God's sovereignty over history the kingdoms of the earth symbolized by the beasts were temporary and limited in their power but God's kingdom was eternal and supreme Daniel though AED by the revelations
found comfort in knowing that the God he served had absolute control over the events of the world and thus the prophet of Babylon left an everlasting Legacy his words written so that future Generations might find comfort and strength in the promise of the Eternal Kingdom but if you think Daniel is the only dream interpreter in the Bible you have yet to hear the story of Joseph of Egypt click on this video to discover the incredible story of Jacob's son who learned to interpret prophetic dreams and went from being a slave to the governor of all
