sell off of course as fiercely as you guys are uh and keep one eye on the games and of course on all the businesses surrounding the games and on that front we do we are pleased to be welcomed today on the rooftop with the CEO of Air France andreil an it's great to have you thanks for being with us today thank you uh we can we can all see the numbers here and look what US markets are looking to do at the open does it bring to mind concerns about growth because we have had some
domestic carriers in the US wave some warning flags at least about things like capacity yeah you know for us uh the Olympics have brought a a slightly negative impact on the demand so at the moment our question is the recovery of the demand after the games because some tourists uh defer their travel because of the Olympics uh it maybe more difficult or they thought it would be more difficult to visit Paris when when you look at it maybe it's best time to visit Paris at the moment and it's an incredible opportunity to showcase a monument
and how beautiful the city is you you guys have done a very nice job we we have a piece of tape which we'll show later looking at your premium offerings and and the way you've really doubled down on premium capacity right how much we've increased the the premium capacity Premier and uh business class not doubled but increased and we invest a lot in new seat we renew our Fleet at a an incredible Pace uh putting 1 billion per year in the renewal of the f because it's good for the customer it's good for the environment
less CO2 it's good for the noise and it allows us to to have those business class seat maybe you show you saw with a private door uh and yeah and we just also opened a new ground experience for a most exclusive Class A Premier class on the ground in Paris airport and later in the year we will showcase our our new onboard product for La premere how do you how do you balance that kind of emphasis on premium and a lot of it is Leisure Travel uh not just corporate with the warnings that we've gotten
from Burberry and Hugo Boss and some of the other luxury fashion names let's say well uh half of our premium customer in LA prier and business class they uh travel for personal reasons so that part and we saw it during covid is very resilient uh and in terms of capacity of course we are very careful we in the past we had decreased a lot this capacity of Premium we also exited our Airbus 380 uh aircraft during covid and those were big big uh business class capaity so in the end uh I I don't think we're
I think we're safe on this side finally you have a big mission in helping everybody who's come here to cover the games be part of the games get out of town in a much more concentrated time period right exactly the arrivals were very Progressive and we've transported so far more than 10,000 delegation and athletes and everything was re really smooth but the big challenge is the departure because everyone will depart at the same time within 24 or 48 Hours uh from the closing ceremony so we have worked on dedicated processes we have built a kind
of a miniature airport directly inside the Olympic Village we will be there with the E staff very proud to have the athletes to check in check in their luggage they will go directly to a dedicated terminal next to Charles the go so really it will be that's why I postpone my own vacation I want to be there I want everything to be very easy and thanks for the time today good to see you on reg laale France
