hey guys welcome back to the channel I'm the T-Max I make videos about language travel and culture and today I'm going to show you how to get your [Music] cpf now if you've been following the channel you may have seen the short that I did about how difficult it is to get a cpf and once you get it how liberated you feel because this document is so super important and I don't understand why and the Brazilians try to explain it but it still just doesn't make sense this cadastro PES physico that basically is just a
document that helps the government track your spending I don't know why exactly they want to do that but without this you can't get a SIM card you can't get discounts in stores you can't use applications like I food or Ry you can't use memberships at stores so many things that you need the cpf for and I'm going to show you how to get it and it's not difficult at all this process is so easy all you need to do is send one email and you can get your cpf I was dragging in my feet not
getting it I'd been here well over a month before I actually got mine and just was suffering for no reason this process is actually so simple and so open that you can do it in your home country before you come so I highly recommend if you're going to be in Brazil more than 2 weeks on vacation travel whatever get a cpf before you come here and that way when you get here you can get a SIM card and do all these things easily without any drama I've also included links in the description right below the
like And subscribe button for all the things that I'm going to talk about this video and everything that you'll need so the first document need is the protocolo gendo you're going to want to click on in no sign up for a cpf and then if you want to you can read what's in this page or you can click the green button on the right that says start this takes you to a page where you fill out your information your parents information your address where you're going to stay I use the hostel that I'm staying at
and didn't have any issues phone number things of that sort and then go ahead and hit the submit button which is labeled in vard so then you should have a document that looks something like this and this is one of the documents that you will include in the email that you're going to send if you're in Sal Pao like me I've included the email address below um but there's also a link to the website that shows you all the email addresses that you can use depending upon which state that you live in here in Brazil
so then basically pull up your email browser and send an email to the correct email address I did a bit of research on what you're supposed to include in the email and they all said a bunch of different things and basically in my email I just wrote it like this and basically this is just saying Hi how are you please find the documents that you asked for attached and I'm here if you have any questions so that we can get this process going basically it's a summary of what that means not literally translated and then
in this email I attached a picture of the first page of my passport I also attached a photo of me holding my passport next to my face I attached the protocolo gendo that we filled out earlier and I also included an email that I got from booking.com that was my proof of lodging so I sent this email day later I got an email hey yeah we received your email we're going to go ahead and process it two days later I received another email says hey you're missing one form that form is the Declaration G phys
I don't know what that means but basically it's the same information as the other form your name uh where you're staying uh that kind of information so I filled out this form and there's a link for it in the description below I sent this email on a Wednesday afternoon and the following Monday I received my cpf the cpf will look something like this the process was super painless and easy and I was kicking myself for not having done it sooner like I said before if you know you're going to be in Brazil longer than a
short period of time I'd say at least 2 weeks do your cpf from home you can do it in your home country and I've Linked In the description below a resource that covers uh how to apply for your cpf if you're living outside of Brazil and I've actually met foreigners here who also did their cpf when they were at home so they arrived here with the cpf got the ball rolling we're able to buy some cards and do life easily and normally from the get-go instead of struggling through it like some of us who were
