this one is interesting because i have been here so many times so there's a time a few years back when i wanted to do modeling and i was really looking for an opportunity and then i got this company and the deal was so good apparently they were looking for models to travel the world with in quotes i was supposed to pay three thousand six hundred kenyan shillings that is thirty six dollars and sam send them my picture and some details so that they can just get me in the list and then i'll be able to
travel the world as a model i'll be able to go to different events free of charge in different countries just so that paid i paid 3600 canadian links sent all my details and then i was sent an invite to an event the event that was taking place in kenya it was so rosy and i was so excited that i leave school and then go and travel the world when the dd came the event day i tried to call them to find out where is this event now that you've sent me an invite how do i
get in what should i put on will i be picked from my home no reply nothing the day came past the next day i never heard from them and the reason i trusted these people it's because they had a website it was looking you know it was looking so legit they had a business email they had a business phone number what am i trying to say when the deal is too good think twice people try to sell this too good to be true ideas to desperate people it can be a job it can be an
opportunity it can be a product that seems so cheap it can be anything so be vigilant when something sounds too good too easy kindly think twice [Music] i have a rule when it comes to buying things online and you should probably adopt this too don't pay for anything upfront unless it's a trusted company or a website don't trust people online if you're buying a soap or you're buying a dress or a pair of treasures make sure you actually have whatever you're buying in your hands or in your vicinity and you've inspected it before actually paying
the delivery fees and paying for the item don't be fooled to pay half the amount quarter the amount the whole amount before your item actually gets to you because i'm telling you you will lose your money so fast and so easy that page on instagram that does not have reviews that seems new but that tells you to pay half the amount or three quarter the amount you just be shocked how fast the page will be closed or someone else will just take over it will be something totally different once you've paid that amount so have
trust issues and don't pay for anything upfront that is how you stay safe [Music] if you love yourself and if you love your money especially if you love your money don't pay to get a job i'm saying this because i've seen it in so many online jobs platforms freelancer.com and many other platforms where you apply for a job and someone inboxes you and tells you now before you get this job you have to pay a deposit of a certain amount whether it's ten dollars five dollars three dollars don't pay to get a job jobs don't
work that way you don't pay so that you can get a job you get a job you offer your services or sell a product or do whatever it is that you're supposed to do and then you get paid not the other way around and if you're really interested in online jobs kindly be vigilant whenever you encounter a job that you've applied for and you're required to pay a certain amount or to just do something that seems shoddy kindly run and run very fast [Music] scammers don't like people who ask questions so ask as many questions
as possible as long as they're relevant ask them why why am i paying for this what am i getting in return how am i going to get my pay when will i get me paid how will i get my pay what should i do if i don't do you have a website do you have a page i can check out like ask as many questions as possible now if someone is trying to scam you you just get annoyed and maybe block you or something but if someone is legit they won't withhold information there will be
instances where maybe you get a job or you're trying to buy something online and you're asking these questions and you can feel that someone is uncomfortable or they're with holding you know they are just withholding information or they don't even have the answers that is when you just stop that conversation turn back and go look for another opportunity or go look for another product another seller another job on another platform because if you stay there and then you say well i'm making him uncomfortable and i'm making her uncomfortable i should just stop and just pay
whatever he or she is telling me to pay that my friend you're going to lose a lot of money to these scammers out here because it's also a business that is how they make their money they make their money through stealing from you [Music] you've probably heard this too many times already but don't be giving out details especially if the intimate details like bank account details paypal account details that will make it easy for people to hack your bank account or your paypal account or anywhere to store money or details that will make it easy
for people to scam you or to steal from you don't be giving out these details there's something i usually say in so many of my videos [Music] let's say i mention a company that is hiring or i talk about an individual that is looking or selling a certain product it's up to you to go and do your research read reviews if i tell you now you can get writing jobs on copywriting network like i did in my previous video it's up to you to do your due diligence read reviews online what are other freelancers saying
about copywriting network do they have a facebook page do they pay their freelancers what are the comments in their facebook posts that is what i do if i want to apply for a job in a certain company or i want to buy a product online i'll have to go and google that company i want to know what are people saying about it does it look legit have the people who've worked here before being paid how is the pay does it come on time do they actually deliver their products you have to actually research before you
trust people online [Music] this is overlooked so many times but trust your gut trust your intuition what you feel about this company what do you feel about this individual what do you feel about this product do you think they'll actually deliver do you think that this job this person will actually pay after you deliver this service what does your gut say let me tell you i have avoided so many bad situations by trusting my gut just listen to what it's saying and i'm like nah pass
