Before we lift our voices in prayer, let's dwell on the promises of God. [music] For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. Philippians 2:13.
God is always on the move. He is continually working to change our circumstances and is always available to intervene in the affairs of mankind. He is constantly [music] empowering us.
Working is us to do what pleases him. As the verse says, he knows that on our own we don't have [music] enough strength and enough wisdom to carry out what he has called us to do and be the person he has made [music] us to be. So he moves in us giving us power to do what we can't do on our own.
He is on the move in our situations. The landscape of our lives is constantly changing and God is there directing and guiding us even when we are unaware. The book of Psalms says it well.
Your road led through the [music] sea, your pathway through the mighty waters, a pathway on new was there. Psalm 77:1 19. Let's not remain silent when we are overwhelmed, [music] weak, and fearful.
Let's ask God to empower us in the [music] areas we need to be empowered. God wants to give us wisdom when we don't have it. He wants to give us courage when we are afraid.
[music] No matter what you are going through, call out to him for help. You may be facing changes and challenges that you are not prepared for. When you face change, there is always a lot of uncertainty.
And in many instances, uncertainty is accompanied by fear. The fear of failure, the fear of inadequacy, the fear of disappointment, and the fear of the unknown. Whatever you are going through, remember that God is with [music] you and he will never forsake you.
He brought you to that specific point and he will lead you through it. But it's in these kinds of situations where he empowers [music] us. You don't have to give in to the fear.
Trust him to empower you with courage and wisdom. If we consider all the things we could be afraid of, we can quickly see why don't be [music] afraid in one form or another is one of the most repeated commands in scripture. Put positively, God calls us to be strong and of good courage as we see in the book of Daniel.
And he said, "Oh man greatly loved, fear not. Peace be with you. Be strong and of good courage.
" And as he spoke to me, [music] I was strengthened and said, "Let my Lord speak, for you have strengthened me to Daniel 10: often our natural response. We don't [music] have to think of all our reasons to be afraid. Fear comes unbidden.
But being strong and courageous doesn't come naturally. Often we have to think through [music] different reasons why we ought to overcome our fears with courage. God calls us to [music] take courage because it doesn't just come naturally, we have to fight for it.
Confronted with fears on every side and even within, courage must be seized. Have I not commanded you? [music] Be strong and courageous.
Do not be frightened and [music] do not be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9. [music] These are words with authority.
Firstly, to be strong has to do with the ability to [music] withstand great force or pressure. And secondly, to be courageous has to do with being [music] brave or not being easily deterred by threats. Therefore, these are not words used lightly.
You do not tell a person to be strong and courageous when they are engaging in ordinary activities. These words are used when a person has a big task ahead of them, and they will most probably be discouraged when they face [music] giants, resistance, and opposition. When David handed over his kingship to Solomon, [music] one of his first jobs was to build the temple of the Lord.
It was a mammoth [music] task, a task that Solomon was not prepared for. He was just a [music] young, inexperienced young king. David had prepared as much as he could to help his son, but Solomon needed much more.
How could he lead such a great people [music] and build such a magnificent temple? He needed the Lord's help. He needed wisdom from on high and he needed courage.
And that is what he got. Then David said to Solomon his son, "Be strong and courageous and do it. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed, for the Lord God, even my God, is with you.
He will not leave you nor forsake you until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished. " 1st Chronicles 28:20. You need to be strong and courageous to deal with tasks and adversities which lie ahead of you.
The assurance we have in everything we face [music] is that God is with us and he will never leave us nor forsake us wherever the journey of life takes us. He will empower us with wisdom and courage [music] to face whatever is thrown at us. God is the God who empowers us.
He has given us his holy spirit [music] who is working in us, giving us the wisdom we need and giving us the courage we need to conquer all the things that come against us. When we allow the Lord to [music] work in and through us, our lives, desires, and accomplishments will be [music] transformed. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will [music] be given him.
But let him ask in faith with no doubting. For the one who doubts [music] is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from [music] the Lord.
He is a double-minded, unstable in all his ways. James 1:es 5 to8 Let us approach the Lord in faith for what we need. Let's ask him for wisdom in faith knowing [music] that he hears and answers our prayers.
Courage is an act of faith [music] because the courageous person acts on what he believes to be right despite the threat of real or apparent danger. God will empower us as we come to him [music] in faith always. Now let's pray.
I come before you today in humility acknowledging that without you I can do nothing. Every breath I take, every step I make, every word I speak, all of it depends on [music] your strength working within me. You are the one who empowers me to [music] do what pleases you.
Lord, I need you to fill me again with your wisdom and courage today. Lord, [music] I thank you that you are not a distant God who leaves us to figure life out on our own. You are [music] near, present, and working in me even when I cannot see it.
You are shaping my heart, renewing my mind, and stirring my spirit to align with your will. You are working [music] in my weakness, in my waiting, and even in my wandering. You are the unseen hand guiding my steps [music] through uncertain paths just as you led your people through the sea where no road seemed to exist.
[music] Father, I admit that sometimes I feel weak. I am overwhelmed by what lies ahead. I feel unqualified, underprepared, and afraid.
But I also know that you have not brought me this far to leave me. You are the same God who parted the waters, who strengthened Daniel in the lion's den, who gave Joshua courage to lead, and who filled Solomon with wisdom to accomplish an impossible task. That same power, that same spirit is alive in me today.
So Lord, [music] empower me. Breathe your strength into my soul. Remind [music] me that courage isn't the absence of fear.
It's the choice to move forward [music] despite it. Help me to walk in faith, not in the paralysis of uncertainty. Help me to trust that you are already in the places I fear to go.
When I face decisions that require wisdom beyond my understanding, grant me the mind of Christ. Teach me to seek your counsel before leaning on my own reasoning. Give me discernment to see what [music] is right and the strength to follow through even when it's difficult.
When I am torn between what is easy and what is godly, let your spirit lead me toward obedience. Lord, I also ask for courage. [music] The courage to obey you when it's unpopular, the courage to speak truth when it's easier to stay silent, and the courage to [music] stand firm when everything around me shakes.
Let me be strong and courageous, not because of my own willpower, but because I am confident in your presence. You have said, "Do not be afraid or dismayed, [music] for I am with you wherever you go. Help me take you at your word.
" Father, just as you spoke to Joshua and told him to be strong and courageous, speak those same words into my heart today. When fear whispers, lies into my mind, when it tells me I'm not capable, not worthy, or not enough, let [snorts] your truth drown out every doubt. Remind [music] me that you are my strength, my helper, my defender, and my provider.
Lord, when life feels like a storm and everything [music] is uncertain, teach me to anchor myself in you. Let your peace be my steady ground. When my emotions run high and my thoughts race with anxiety, [music] still my spirit and remind me that you are working all things for my good.
I may not always understand the how or the when, but I can always trust the who. You are [music] faithful even when I am not. Father, [music] give me the wisdom of Solomon to make godly choices.
Give me the courage of David to [music] face the giants that stand in my way. Give me the endurance of Paul to keep pressing forward even when I'm weary. Give me the faith of Daniel to stand unshaken when the world pressures me to bow.
Lord, [music] I surrender every fear into your hands. The fear of failure, of rejection, of the unknown. Replace it [music] with bold faith that believes you are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that I could ask or imagine.
When I can't see the full picture, help me to trust [music] that you are already painting it perfectly. I pray for wisdom in my relationships. Help [music] me to speak with grace and act with understanding.
I pray for courage in my calling. Help me to step into every opportunity you've placed before me without hesitation or fear. I pray for strength in [music] my struggles.
Help me to keep moving even when I feel like giving up. Lord, remind me that [music] the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in me. That means I'm not powerless.
I'm not forgotten. I'm not fighting alone. You are empowering me from the inside out to do what I never could on my own.
Thank you, Lord, for being patient with me when I falter. [music] Thank you for working in me even when I resist your [music] leading. Thank you for never giving up on me even when I feel like giving up on myself.
Thank you for loving me enough to strengthen [music] me for the very things that once scared me. Today I choose to walk in courage. I choose to [music] seek wisdom.
I choose to trust that your plan is greater than my fear. Wherever you lead me, I will follow because you are with me. So, Father, strengthen my hands for the work ahead.
Teach me to rely on you completely. Let my heart rest in your [music] promises and my spirit be bold in your presence. I declare that I will not be ruled by fear.
I will not be swayed by doubt. I will not be shaken by uncertainty. Because you, Lord, are my confidence.
[music] You are my rock, my refuge, and my everpresent help in time of need. Empower me to live with wisdom that reflects your heart and courage that reveals your strength. Fill [music] me with faith that acts, love that endures, and hope that never gives up.
And as I go forward today, let others see not my strength, but yours [music] shining through me. May everything I do bring glory to your name. in Jesus mighty name I pray.
[music] Amen. Thank you for joining me in this powerful prayer today. [music] If this prayer touched your heart, type amen in the comments as a sign of faith and agreement.
