little one but would become complicit in a tragedy that would shock the entire country the story of Alysa gery isn't just an account of human cruelty and systemic failures it's a story about how easily Society can turn away from its most defenseless members and how difficult it is to restore Justice afterward friends before I continue this difficult story I would like to ask you to write in the comments which country you're watching this video from also don't forget to subscribe to the channel and share this video with your friends this story needs to be heard
so that similar tragedies don't happen again and so that Alyssa's memory lives on in our hearts in December 2007 in the state of Indiana a beautiful baby girl named Alyssa gery was born to Kelly sprunger and Mike gery from the very first day she became her father's pride and joy and her mother's little beauty symbolically mother and daughter shared the same birthday creating a special bond between them Alyssa was a Charming child with blonde hair and brown eyes who loved to cuddle she was loved not only by her parents but also by her two older
siblings 6-year-old Lily and 3-year-old Noah who joyfully welcomed the baby into the family unfortunately this family's happiness proved short-lived November 2008 should have been a time of Celebration for the gery family little Alysa had turned one-year-old and was beginning to show her personality as she explored the world around her one-year-old Alyssa was a playful cheerful child but dark clouds were already gathering over this light in November 2008 the life of Alyssa's father Mike gurny tragically ended in a car accident this loss was the first blow of Fate for the little girl who hadn't even had
the chance to truly know her father the abrupt transition from the joy of the baby's first months of life to the grief of Mike's death was incredibly difficult for the family Kelly found herself alone with a Child In Her Arms while struggling with her own demons life had never been easy for Kelly sprunger before Alyssa's birth she had periodically battled drug addiction exacerbated by depression in the past Kelly had problems with the law and temporarily lost custody of her older children after her husband's death Kelly tried to cope with her grief and the responsibilities of
being a single mother but the system decided she wasn't managing the Department of Child Services DCS suggested temporarily placing Alyssa in foster care until Kelly could get back on her feet not wanting to give her child to strangers Kelly turned to her cousin 29-year-old Christy Schaffer and her husband 34-year-old Matthew Schaffer for help in December 2008 when Alyssa was just 13 months old she was placed in the Schaffer family's Care by decision of the stuben circuit court at first glance the solution seemed ideal the child would stay with relatives rather than strangers however shortly after
moving in with the schaffers the situation began to take a troubling turn on December 10th 2008 just a few days after arriving at the Schaffer home Alyssa was first examed mined by Dr John egley who became her primary pediatrician throughout her stay with the Foster family the first examination was routine and Dr egley noted that Alyssa's health and behavior were within normal limits for a child her age according to him 13-month-old Alysa was a happy and healthy little one this would be the last doctor's visit that could be considered normal by December 15th just 5
days after the first visit the chef ERS missed a scheduled court hearing claiming that Christy had a migraine and two of the children were sick while this could have been true Christy subsequently began showing a pattern of lying about the children's condition to avoid external oversight financial problems in the Schaffer household were becoming increasingly evident Matthew relied on weekly unemployment benefits and rare child support payments which were clearly insufficient for such a large family on January 6 2009 Christy filed a petition asking to have Lily's monthly Social Security payments of $637 transferred to her account
the money was desperately needed in the overcrowded house where emotions were running High every day on January 12th social workers from DCS visited the children and confirmed that they all appeared normal Christy assured them that the children were adjusting well that Alyssa was getting used to her new home and was even sleeping better the social workers noticing nothing suspicious left the house leaving the children in the shaffer's care but it was after this visit that the situation began to rapidly deteriorate by mid January 2009 Christy was at her wit's end but was unwilling to ask
for help or admit that the burden was too heavy instead she began to treat little Alysa negatively subjecting her to both emotional and physical abuse the girl whom Dr egley had described as happy and healthy became a shadow of her former self during Alyssa's 3 months with the Shaffers Christy screamed at her pulled out her hair and treated the little one with incomprehensible cruelty the small girl looked pale and regularly had bruises on her body almost every week Christy would bring Alysa to the doctor inventing new explanations for her injuries on January 27th 2009 9
Alysa was taken to the doctor to get a stitch for a cmet long cut on the left side of her forehead which christe said was caused by a fall less than a week later on February 2nd the Stitch was removed 3 days later on February 5th Christy reported the incident to DCS and also inquired whether it would be possible to claim Kelly's children as dependence on her tax return the whole incident might have seemed insignificant if it had in an isolated case but Alyssa kept going to the doctor and kept getting injuries with alarming regularity
on February 9th Kelly's children missed the scheduled visit with their mother because Christy claimed that Alyssa and Noah were sick this was the second scheduled visit in less than 2 months that christe had missed due to the children's alleged illness the next day DCS visited the family and found all the children to be healthy further supporting the suspicion that christe was was deliberately isolating the children from their biological mother 4 days later on February 14th Christy brought Alysa to the doctor complaining of hair loss and easy bruising on Valentine's Day a holiday of love Christy
brought a child with unexplained injuries to the doctor Dr egley noticed a rash scabs and bruises all over the child's face he attributed these symptoms to an infection and conducted several blood tests surprisingly no problems were found every test that Alyssa underwent only proved that she was a perfectly healthy child with unexplained injuries but these examinations somehow did not raise alarms for Dr egley after more than a dozen visits where Alyssa was mysteriously injured he never once suspected possible abuse Dr egley allowed Christy to mislead him she attributed Alyssa's condition to fetal alcohol syndrome and
lack of prenatal care claiming that the girl was born with a drug addiction however toxicology reports from Alissa's birth disproved this claim christe's next version was that Alysa might have leukemia and that this was the only explanation for her hair loss extensive tests and consultations with several doctors found no evidence that Alyssa had cancer Christy described Alyssa as clumsy weak and accident prone she loved to talk about the baby gates she had bought the child's safety measures she had taken and all the efforts she had made to protect Alyssa from injuries but these statements were
merely a way to divert attention from the real cause of the child's injuries on February 18th Christy called DCs to tell them about Alyssa's possible leukemia that same day they informed Kelly about what was happening with her daughter Kelly was understandably concerned and wanted to visit her to see what was going on on February 24th Alyssa had an appointment with Dr egley due to a cough and congestion all tests showed that she was otherwise fine however the very next day she was back at the doctor this time for an unexplained bout of vomiting and diarrhea
Kelly soon confided to DCS social workers that she was extremely worried about her daughter's condition but her concerns were ignored however Kelly wasn't the only parent who began to express concern on February 26th Lily and Noah's biological father Samuel Cruz contacted DCS and complained that he wanted to see his children but Christy was avoiding his calls this was the beginning of christe's systematic efforts to avoid visits between the children and their relatives she was especially cautious with all of them but particularly with Alyssa whenever her mother wanted to see her she was met with excuses
Alyssa was eternally sick sleeping or or fussy Christie's motivation for isolating Alyssa was obvious she was trying to hide evidence of mistreatment throughout more than a dozen visits to Dr egley he never suspected that something serious was happening to the child but for other adults in Alyssa's life the situation was becoming increasingly alarming on the rare occasions when relatives saw Alyssa they noticed that the once playful child had become withdrawn and fearful the physical signs of her suffering were becoming increasingly evident by early March 2009 the child's condition had worsen on March 3rd Alyssa was
again at the doctor with an injury to her left arm the doctor noticed a bruise near her left eye and new areas of hair loss Christy explained these injuries by saying that hyperactive dogs had supposedly knocked Alyssa down Dr egley believed this story and personally told DCS over the phone that he didn't suspect anything unusual 2 days later on March 5th a CT scan showed that Alyssa's arm was broken she was examined by Dr Robert Fallen a specialist in hematology and oncology from Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis like the previous Specialists he found no
underlying conditions that could explain her State instead of suspecting possible abuse in a child with a broken arm and a history of unexplained injuries Dr Fallen proposed an unlikely theory he suggested that Alyssa might have injured her arm by moving restlessly in her crib at night this explanation contradicted medical logic children don't break bones just by tossing and turning in their sleep but Dr Fallen preferred not to ask uncomfortable questions and did not recommend further investigation before I continue with this heartbreaking story I want to ask for your support if you believe these stories should

Alyssa this would be the last day of her short life in the evening around 6:45 Christy decided to take Alyssa and several other children including Lily to rent a movie and buy happy meals at McDonald's the trip which should have been a pleasant end to the day turned into the tragic final chapter of Alyssa's story during the car ride Christy became enraged for unknown reasons perhaps Alyssa cried or did something that provoked christe's anger the exact circumstances remain unclear but what is reliably known is that Christy displayed extreme aggression toward the little girl right in
the car resulting in serious head injuries according to Witnesses Christy physically assaulted Alyssa causing the child to lose Consciousness right in the car Alyssa's sister Lily sat nearby and watched the events in horror her fear turned to genuine Terror when she saw Alyssa's head fall forward lifelessly realizing that the child had lost Consciousness Christy periodically stopped the car to check on Alyssa's condition she demanded that Lily lift her sister's head when Alyssa wouldn't regain Consciousness christe began to cry understanding that the situation had spiraled out of control sensing that something was seriously wrong Lily asked
what's wrong with Alyssa to which Christy sharply replied stop asking about it all this time Alyssa was making strange gurgling sounds in her car seat an alarming sign of neurological damage caused by severe head trauma these sounds indicated a critical condition requiring immediate medical attention the family returned home around 8:20 in the evening by this point Alysa had been unconscious for about 2 hours a critical time when timely medical help could have saved her life but instead of immediately calling for an ambulance Christy first took the other children into the house before returning to Alysa
she claimed that only then did she realize the seriousness of the girl's Condition it's hard to believe that after the entire trip during which she expressed concern about Alyssa's motionless body christe only now realized that the child was in critical condition moreover her actions did not match the behavior of someone who had just realized that a child was in danger she didn't immediately call 911 instead she called her brother Nate who worked as an emergency medical technician by the time Nate arrived Alyssa was cold to the touch and had no pulse it wasn't until 8:25
in the evening that Christy finally dialed 911 Nate performed CPR to the best of his abilities for 15 minutes until Emergency Services arrived at 8:52 in the evening Alysa was rushed to Parkview lrange Hospital arriving around 907 in the evening her body was covered with bruises and she had a wound on her lip for 47 minutes the staff did everything possible to save her including administering Narcan in case her condition was due to exposure to narcotic substances but unfortunately their efforts were in vain at 9:54 in the evening Alyssa gery was pronounced dead she was
only 16 months old at 10:10 in the evening the schaffers notified the DCS Family Division of what had happened 3 hours later Alyssa's lifeless body was transferred to the St Joseph forensic Center in Fort Wayne there Dr Scott Wagner conducted an autopsy and confirmed what had concerned alysa's loved ones the cause of death was a head injury incompatible with life the a tosy also revealed numerous other injuries that Alyssa had sustained during her time with the schaffers the top of her head was covered with bruises similar marks were on her face and left thigh inside
her mouth where the gums met the lips two cuts were found one of which was fresh Dr Wagner discovered bald patches on Alyssa's head and unlike Dr egley he immediately determined that the hair had not been lost naturally Alyssa also had a broken left elbow with a growth plate displacement another sign that she had suffered repeated injuries in addition to the external injuries the pathologist found internal bleeding in the brain Alysa had a bilateral subdural hematoma caused by severe recurring injuries analysis of her bloodstream showed that the only medication Alyssa had received was the Narcan
administered at the hospital this confirmed that christe had systematically lied about giving Alysa the prescrib vicadin no longer could christe deny or make excuses for what had happened to Alysa the medical examiner classified her death as a homicide resulting from head trauma the voice of little Alyssa was forever silenced her short life which had begun with such hope and love ended in unimaginable suffering now there was only one thing left to do seek Justice for the little girl whom the system had failed at every turn what should have been a straightforward Ward case of child
murder turned into a glaring example of judicial Injustice prosecutor Jeffrey Wibble decided to bring the case before a grand jury which is an unusual practice for such cases this allowed the process to become more closed and less transparent your support can help prevent similar tragedies please subscribe to the channel hit the like button and leave a comment below share this video with everyone you know so Alyssa's story is never forgotten stay with me as I'll soon share another important case that also deserves our attention and awareness despite the medical examiner's conclusion that Alyssa's death was
a homicide Christy schaer was not charged with murder instead she was charged with neglect of a dependent and even with these lesser charges the sentence was shockingly lenient in May 2011 Judge Scott vanderbeck sentenced Christie to 10 years in prison six of which were suspended as if that wasn't enough a few months later judge vanderbeck modified the sentence again releasing christe after just 77 days in custody 77 days for a child's life judge vanderbeck was well acquainted with the Schaffer family christe's father Carrie sprunger was a well-known and respected man in town a close friend
of the judge during the hearing vanderbach even acknowledged his acquaintance with spr personal connections clearly played a role in the issuance of such a lenient sentence the Alyssa case caused enormous public outcry a group of mothers calling themselves Alyssa's Army began a campaign for justice for the little girl a group called Baby Alyssa cries for justice was also created collecting thousands of signatures demanding that the case be reviewed despite public pressure the case remained closed however justice found christe in another way in November 2013 she was arrested for involvement in the production of methine which
violated the terms of her probation in April 2014 Judge Kevin Wallace sentenced her to an additional 6 years in prison Kelly sprunger Alyssa's mother filed a civil lawsuit against Christy and Matthew Schaffer for wrongful death she also filed a medical malpractice lawsuit against Dr John egley for failing to diagnose and report child abuse in August 2014 the Court ruled in favor of Dr egley but the case against the schaffers continued Alyssa gery lived a short but significant life her story revealed serious flaws in the child protection system in medical observation and in the judicial system
Alyssa's tragedy has made many people think about how we protect the most vulnerable members of our society advocates for justice for Alyssa called her the little dragonfly in many cultures dragonflies symbolize change and new beginnings and some believe that these creatures are angels coming to the world of the living to visit their loved ones Alyssa's story should serve as a reminder of our Collective responsibility to protect children the system that was supposed to protect her DCS medical workers courts failed her at every step her tragedy is a call to action to reform Child Protection Systems
and ensure that no child suffers from such Injustice the memory of Alysa lives on in the hearts of her surviving family members her numerous supporters and in the beautiful dragonflies that may carry a piece of her spirit to the world that failed to protect her in a quiet town in Oklahoma a story unfolded that shook not only the local community but the entire country this is the tale of a little girl named Kelsey Shelton Smith Briggs whose short life became a symbol of tragedy and Injustice Kelsey was born on December 28th 2002 at 10:00 in
the evening her mother Ray Don Smith had just divorced Lance Briggs and wasn't sure who the child's father was the girl came into the world as a Charming little bundle 19 in long and weighing 7 1 oz when Kelsey turned 3 months old a paternity test confirmed that was her biological father greetings my dear viewers it's detective Meyers back with another riveting investigation before we dive in I want to express my gratitude for your continued support if you haven't already please consider subscribing to the channel and enabling notifications this way you'll be part of every
Twist and Turn as we uncover the truth together your engagement is what keeps me motivated to deliver topnotch content Kelsey's story is inextricably linked to her family's troubled past the girl's paternal grandmother Kathy Briggs had a complicated life in 1973 at about 17 years old Cathy gave birth to her first daughter sha by her boyfriend Kevin Robinson a year later her second daughter Gina was born but not from Kevin despite this Cathy and Kevin got married in April 1977 their son Raymond Lance was born and in August 1978 their daughter Robin was born again not
from Kevin Cathy's life was full of dramatic events in 1979 she divorced Kevin who wanted joint custody of the children Cathy refused and soon after Kevin was found dead from a gunshot wound Cathy claimed he was depressed due to not being able to see his children but her subsequent actions raised doubts about the true cause of Kevin's death after Kevin's death Kathy brought her children to the potawatami county courthouse and shouted take these children or I'll kill each of them the Department of Human Services took the children and Cathy rarely visited them preferring to party
later she met a man named Royce Briggs whom she married and regained custody of her children Cathy's son Lance officially changed his surname to Briggs in 2000 and married Ray Dawn Smith on July 15th Lance and Ry were high school sweethearts dating when he was a senior and she was a sophomore after his graduation they parted ways however fate brought them back together 2 years later at a party after Ry had also graduated their rekindled romance quickly led to an engagement and they moved in together it was during this time that Ry discovered Lance's drug
addiction and his true nature as a domestic abuser he subjected her to daily physical abuse leaving visible signs of his violence such as black eyes and bruises which Rays College classmates frequently noticed after enduring 2 years of this torment Ry found the strength to kick lance out in March of 2002 however Lance broke into their shared home while Ry was away and left a threatening note coercing her to take him back which she did in April within a month Ry realized that staying with him would likely result in her death so she kicked him out
once more and filed for divorce Ry provided the following statement about their relationship I married Raymond Lance Briggs in July of 2000 that same month I lost my first child at 3 months gestation due to a blow to the stomach from Lance's fist aside from that incident he had hit me on numerous occasions resulting in black eyes a bruised rib hair being pulled out and he would break take many of my cherished possessions throughout the house he even threw my Pomeranian dog against the wall once One Summer he busted my nose at the river in
front of all our friends I finally had enough of all of that and left I went to live back with my parents a few weeks later Lance broke into the house we had lived in while we were married and broke a bathroom mirror threw groceries all over the kitchen and tossed stuff into the pond and Creek as well as some school albums after the separation Lance moved on with his life having been unfaithful to Rey with an 18-year-old girl whose name will be withheld for privacy reasons he gave Rey no further thought however his mother
Cathy took it upon herself to defend her son upon hearing that Ry was sharing details of the abuse she suffered at Lance's hands Cathy began spreading rumors about Ry calling her derogatory names like [ __ ] and [ __ ] shortly after the divorce was finalized Ry discovered she was pregnant during her first separation from Lance she had begun dating another man leaving her uncertain about the baby's paternity Cathy confronted Ry claiming she had heard a rumor that the baby could be lances and demanded that Rey take a paternity test after the baby's birth Rey
also wanting to know the truth willingly agreed Lance meanwhile told everyone he hoped the baby wasn't his so he could move on with his life on December 28th 2002 at 10:00 in the evening Ry gave birth to a beautiful baby girl measuring 19 in and weighing 7 lb whom she named Kelsey Shelton Smith when Kelsey was 3 months old a paternity test confirmed that Lance was indeed her father it was Cathy not Lance who then demanded that Ry add Briggs to Kelsey's name Lance did call Ry and referring to Kathy stated it will have my
last name Ray complied and Kelsey became known as Kelsey Shelton Smith Briggs another month passed and the Briggs family made no effort to visit or check on Kelsey Ry then reached out to Cathy asking if they wanted to see Kelsey Cathy agreed and in April of 2003 when Kelsey was 4 months old the Brigg's family finally met her this marked the beginning of their troubles when Ry left Lance and shared with others the kind of person he truly was Cathy developed a grudge against Ry that persists to this day it began with name calling and
rumor spreading after Kelsey's arrival Cathy's desire to remove Ry from the picture intensified as she wanted to take Kelsey away from her mother for the first two years of Kelsey's life Cathy stalked Ray following her to school work and anywhere else she went in June of 2003 Lance married his second wife and Cathy instructed her new daughter-in-law to follow Ry and call the Smith house in search of her during this time ry's Father Ray Smith was battling cancer and Cathy or her daughter-in-law would call and harass Ry Cathy made false reports to DHS and the
police about Ry attempting to portray her as an unfit mother and have Kelsey taken away in one instance Cathy followed Ry while driving and called in a report claiming that Ry was driving erratically and at excessive speeds unbeknownst to Cathy a police car on the same road observed no such Behavior eventually Cathy was advised that if she wanted to gain custody of Kelsey she should initiate a custody battle to Cathy this sounded like a promising course of action despite his drug addiction and violent behavior in August 2004 Lance was drafted into the army and sent
to Iraq this scene seemed strange given his problems but military service didn't change his character or attitude towards his family in October 2004 Ry met Michael Lee Porter and began dating him this marked the beginning of the most tragic period in little Kelsey's life in January 2005 the first serious incident occurred Kelsey broke her collarbone allegedly falling out of her crib this incident became a pretext for Cathy to accuse Ray of child abuse the court temporarily transferred custody of Kelsey to the Briggs family the period of Kelsey's stay under the Briggs care became the darkest
time in her short life the girl's Health deteriorated rapidly she lost weight and her hair started falling out in April 2005 Kelsey was found to have fractures in both legs Ry fought to get her daughter back she took parenting classes attended counseling did everything possible to prove her Fitness as a mother in June 2005 Ry managed to regain custody of Kelsey October 11th 2005 became the Fatal day in Kelsey's short life at 245 in the afternoon Ry left to pick up her stepdaughter from school leaving Kelsey sleeping in her bed the trip was supposed to
take 40 to 50 minutes the girl was left alone with Michael Porter on the way Ry stopped at the post office and saw that documents for Kelsey's role therapy had arrived when Ry returned home she saw her mother there along with an ambulance and paramedics she asked her mother what had happened and Gayla replied that Michael had told her Kelsey had had a seizure the girl was taken to the hospital where they worked on her for another 45 minutes at 445 in the afternoon Kelsey was pronounced dead Ry who was pregnant with mik 's child
at the time entered the room held Kelsey In Her Arms rocked her and through tears asked why did God take my child 2 hours later as she was getting into the car Mike asked about the autopsy they're not going to cut her open are they Ry replied I need to know what was wrong with her after this Michael pretended to have two heart attacks and fainted the autopsy of Kelsey's body showed that death resulted from blunt force trauma to to the abdomen however this wasn't the only shocking Discovery later during the investigation photographs and videos
of child were found on Michael Porter's computer this led to the exam of Kelsey's body to check for signs of sexual abuse the results of this examination were horrifying evidence of sexual abuse of Kelsey was found sexual assault charges were added to Michael's murder charge this discovery added a new even more tragic Dimension to the already horrific story of the little girl Kathy Briggs who learned of Kelsey's death called Lance within half an hour and informed him at that time Lance was undergoing drug rehabilitation in Fort Benning Georgia he was sent home that same evening
then Cathy called the police and reported that Kelsey's death was a murder and that it was committed by Cathy's former daughter-in-law Ry after Kelsey's death a fear battle began between the Smith and Briggs families Cathy created a website called Kelsey's purpose where she began spreading her version of events accusing Rey of everything from abusing Kelsey to murdering her as a result of the trial Michael Porter pleaded guilty and received 30 years in prison however the most shocking turn was that Ray who wasn't present at the time of Kelsey's death was also sentenced to 27 years
in prison for enabling child abuse Rey's verdict became a glaring example of the Injustice of the judicial system a woman who loved her daughter and fought for her well being ended up behind bars while the real culprits of the tragedy remained at large after Kelsey's death Lance Briggs continued to demonstrate his true nature instead of mourning the loss of his daughter he focused on financial gain from the tragedy Lance filed a lawsuit against Social Services for 15 million when he was awarded $625,000 he spent the money on a new house car and entertainment in strip
clubs instead of honoring his daughter's memory or helping other children in similar situations Kelsey's story didn't end with a verdict Rey and her family continue to fight for justice trying to prove her innocence meanwhile Cathy BRS continues her campaign using Kelsey's memory for her own purposes the tragic fate of Kelsey Shelton Smith Briggs became a symbol of the imperfection of the child protection system and the danger of manipulation in family conflicts her short life left a deep Mark in the hearts of many people and continues to raise questions about Justice and the protection of the
most vulnerable members of society today years after Kelsey's death her story continues to move people Ray Dawn Smith remains in prison continuing to assert her in inoc she doesn't lose hope for justice and continues to fight for her release Kathy Briggs and her supporters continue their campaign despite growing doubts about their version of events they use Kelsey's memory as a tool to achieve their own goals ignoring the true interests of the child they supposedly seek to protect this story reminds us of the importance of critical thinking and how easily truth can be lost in a
whirlwind of emotions and personal interest it also underscores the need to reform the child protection and Judicial Systems to prevent similar tragedies in the future but most importantly this story reminds us of a little girl whose life was too short Kelsey Shelton Smith Briggs was a bright loving child whose smile could light up any room she loved to play Draw and hug her mom her life though short was full of love and joy that she gave to everyone around her Kelsey story is not just a tale of tragedy but also of the power of love
and dedication it's a story about a mother who continues to fight for justice for her daughter even while behind bars it's a story about a family that United in grief and in the fight for truth every year on Kelsey's birthday and on the day of her death people gather to honor her memory they light candles release balloons into the sky and share memories of the little girl who touched so many many hearts in her short life Kelsey's tragedy also Drew attention to the problem of domestic violence and child abuse her story became a catalyst for
creating new programs and initiatives aimed at protecting children and supporting families in crisis situations despite all the efforts of Cathy Briggs and her supporters to tarnish the memory of Kelsey and her mother many people continue to believe in Ray Dawn Smith's innocence they see her as a loving mother who who became a victim of an unjust system and manipulation by others the story of Kelsey Shelton Smith Briggs is a reminder of how important it is to protect the most vulnerable members of our society it's a call to action for all of us to be vigilant
to speak the truth and to fight for justice even when it seems that all odds are against us Kelsey May no longer be with us physically but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those who loved her and in the actions of those who continue to fight for justice on her behalf her short life left an indelible mark on this world reminding us of the value of each child and our responsibility to protect them may the memory of Kelsey Shelton Smith Briggs be an eternal reminder of the need for love compassion and Justice in
our world and may her story continue to inspire people to fight for truth and protect the innocent so that no other child has to suffer as she did in the end Kelsey's story is about how one little girl could change the world her short life and tragic death became a catalyst for change for reflection for action and although the price of these changes was too high we can only hope that because of this other children will be better protected and Justice will be more accessible to all Kelsey Shelton Smith Briggs 2002 to 2005 may she
rest in peace but may her story continue to live on reminding us of our responsibility to the most vulnerable members of our society because every child deserves a happy childhood love and protection and we all bear the responsibility to ensure this I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who watched this video all the way through I'd love to hear your thoughts on this case in the comments and please don't forget to subscribe to my channel I'd also like to send a special thank you to everyone who has donated to support my
