Why Communism is a Failed Religion

I was on an airplane flight with my manager Merrick the guy who runs the iron Channel and we were both comparing our Maps since we both make maps in our free time an interesting thing is that we both marked the Iron Curtain or the Soviet block as a completely different color from all the societies that went before it the point that we both came to independently was although say the Soviets are maoists had a lot in common With the czars or the mandarins who came before communism positive a vastly different social model and is in

fact the largest attempt that completes social change that we have ever seen in human history communism is the largest experiment ever in human history an attempt to build an entirely new civilization upon different philosophic economic or social principles I make videos about civilizations such as Western Indian Chinese or the ancient Greco-Roman and through that I try to figure out what makes them special what their strengths and weaknesses are and how they came into being I started writing this video as an attempt to understand communist civilization which briefly rules one-third of the human race in the

middle of the 20th century I didn't succeed at that and what this video inevitably turned into was an explanation for why communism failed as a civilization and was never able to Entrench itself fully and really explain the Theology and the sociology of how communism operates as a religion and from that what its failures were that prevented it from becoming a long-form civilization even though communism is burnt out in its original form however you can still see its children being some of the very most important players in the modern world a problem I often see with

philosophy is that it can become Naval gazing or intellectual Masturbation that's intellectually disconnected from the actual physical evidence this is a video to try to explain how communist societies have operated over history and how their philosophy influences what their actual impact upon the world is although I'm picking a topic I'm sure many of you already know a tremendous amount about I can promise this will not go into the direction you expect my comrade let's make the revolution [Music] Marx lived and wrote in the middle of the 19th century and was a secularized Jew originally from

Germany who immigrated to London for intellectual Freedom the environment he grew up in influences worldview in a very profound way we're going to look into now life at that time was incredibly brutal the whole world was experiencing acute overpopulation and so that meant human life was very cheap working 12-hour days Six days a week was often the norm there are stories of wealthy social reformers trying to push for an eight-hour work day in this time period followed by riots by the workers since they would starve if they worked those four Less hours Victor Hugo's Les

Miserables is my favorite book ever accepting maybe Lord of the Rings and it's able to show the horrifying and degrading Poverty of that time an incredibly compelling and human way at the same time Western Europe was Experiencing the early steps of the Industrial Revolution this meant that peasants who had lived in intact Village communities for thousands upon thousands of years were packed into cities many of whom had multiple families in the same shitty room the breakdown of the traditional social structures caused a massive Mental Health crisis and large social chaos and stress the traditional social

structure in which almost everyone was an independent renting Farmer was replaced by employer employee relationships which due to inexperience and overpopulation were often incredibly exploitive and cruel in some ways it's useful to view it as similar to the current political polarization collapse in dating and loneliness that has come with the internet which we are struggling with today as a society all this degree of complexity and change meant normal people hearken back and really wanted a more simple easy social Structure atheism and agnosticism which was common among the elite in the 18th century was normalized for

the common people with the French Revolution for someone like Marx from the German Rhineland The Atheist French had ruled the region for around 20 years this meant that questioning God's existence went from something educated philosophers did to something local cobblers thought about the average person was still incredibly religious But prescient thinkers like Nietzsche could see the seeds planted for the agnostic Europe that would eventually come about in the 20th century at the same time there was a tremendous amount of social repression in the political and economic system the French Revolution followed by the Napoleonic Empire

was brutally crushed and followed by the creation of incredibly conservative religious states across the European continent the norm was for Extremely regressive and classist stuff like the poor paying a higher percentage of their in income to taxes than the rich or for it being completely normal to hang a poor man for stealing bread to feed his family the rich were scared that another French Revolution would happen and tried to crush the poor to prevent them from organizing it again there was a slew of democratic rebellions in 1848 driven by all the problems mentioned before but

they were Also crushed with everything going on in this time period Marx makes total sense maybe Marx himself wasn't fated to happen but there had to be someone like him since the world was changing so much so fast the vision Marx created was one where the rich oppressed the poor and a system that kept the Working Man Down in some array this is Marx's entire philosophy it's ironic Karl Marx blamed capitalism on the Poor's oppression given the exact Opposite actually turned out to be true you could see the exact same problems of poverty and class

repression in societies that were not capitalist by his definition such as China India Brazil or Africa the mid 19th century was tough everywhere except North America and around the third world we saw horrifying Wars and rebellions break out across the world as a reaction this includes the typing rebellion in China the third bloodiest war in history which Killed 30 million people famines in India which also killed 30 million and the Famine of 1876 which killed 70 million people around the world or more than World War II when Marx was writing this looked to be the

path Western Europe would go down however the irony is that the exact opposite happened Western Europe for the 150 years after Mark saw extremely rapid growth and standard of living and social Mobility much of the dirt poor working class is In Marx's time became comfortable middle class due to increases in productivity by the time of World War One the average person worked Less hours was much better fed housed and about everything else this was also part of the reason for why there was such profound patriotism around World War one because people were proud of the

progress our societies had made the key problem is that the failings Marx blamed upon capitalism were in fact just aspects of the human Existence as we see by how non-capitalist societies experience them as well however the great irony is the capital of societies were the only ones able to escape this trap since capitalism allowed enough social mobility and technological progress as we'll see later communism never had much appeal and actually capitalist societies for this reason and was only able to Garner support in the feudal agricultural Nations like Vietnam Russia Cuba or China the irony is

that Marx said that communist revolutions would only happen in the very most developed Nation however what happened in the real world is that the most developed countries when they picked an authoritarianism universally went for fascism and only agrarian non-industrial ones were communist keep this in mind for the rest of the video but one of communism's most Insidious and telling aspects is its conflation of capitalism With things normal for human existence the final part of Marx's identity was that he is a secularized Jew in a lot of ways being a secularized Jew was a pretty difficult

place to be because all the Gentile Christian societies rejected the views and it oppressed them for thousands of years across Europe however the Jews were able to build a very intact social community and once you left that by denouncing religion you were stuck in a rock in a hard place Between the outside society that did not view you as part of them but also the Jews who also rejected you if you look at secular Jews across history they often push an incredibly nihilistic view of the world in which they don't believe that life is any

meaning they don't believe that the nation or social communities have any positive good attached to them and you see several philosophic trajectories that are shared among secular Jews due to this feeling Of rejection by the broader Society one of the biggest demographics for communism is again secular Jews for this very reason and at the same time if you look across the Jews who have had many philosophic and religious innovations that have been incredibly positive across history whether Einstein Spinoza Jesus Moses and more and we live in a world in many ways built off Jewish philosophy

however even though Jewish philosophy has many positives there are Several cognitive bugs that you see across it and one of it is apocalyptic thinking where abrahamic philosophy believes that there will come a time in which the world order totally changes and the laws of darwinistic competition just stop well at the same time that if we are good and do the right thing you can break the laws of the universe however this is just not true where darwinistic struggle and life being hard is just normal across history no no Matter what happens and will never change

however Marxism is in many ways an apocalyptic philosophy and that it thinks that there will come a point where the working classes drive out the rich and then we live in a Utopia Forever After in my videos I've consistently called communism a religion this is since according to Dirk Jaime in terms it totally is our religion provides Community a story about how the world Works rituals and establishes the sacred communism does all of this religions don't need God which you see with Buddhism or Confucianism and communism occupies the same brain space as a religion which

you can tell by it being by all accounts impossible to convince a communist that it's failed or wrong trying to convince a communist kindness is wrong it's like trying to convince a Catholic that the Virgin Mary never existed the main reason Communists Really get pissed off at calling them a religion is they view all religions as false as according to Marx well they are true thus making the comparison insulting for them but that's also what religions say just saying that they are the truth and all other religions are false however if communism is a religion

where does it fit in what's its Theology and the effects of its the apology communism is very clearly part of the abrahamic tradition my friend Kurt Doolittle has made this chart of how all the elements of the abrahamic worldview continue with Communism Bertrand Russell has also made this remarkable chart showing communism as part of the judeo-christian philosophy examples of this include belief in very clear good and evil a Rapture followed by the saved going into a Utopia or Heaven well the Damned are well damned the construction of a church to carry out these goals and

also an insistence upon the meek to form Around shared documents to fight against evil being led by a prophet also the belief in universality or something peculiar to the abrahamics and axialated religions that their message is universal to All Peoples and all cultures will be United by this shared new religion communism is a twisted mirror of Christianity and most of its so-called objective rational beliefs come from what they would call a rational Chris beliefs such as the Equality of all people the importance of the meek or progress if you look at non-western cultures none of

these beliefs are taken for granted Nietzsche or the Nazis are what a real attempt to move Beyond a Christian value system looks like while Marxism is just a mirror of Christianity I'm making my bias show here but through this video I want to show why I believe this bias is correct but the Theologian Renee Gerard said that evil takes on the outward Trappings of good but in its actions does the exact opposite when you see communism you're seeing the outward forms of Christianity as mentioned before however the actual thing communism tells you is kill the

rich and install an autocratic State and has no sense of moral values or moral standards humans have masculine and feminine sides and I'm gonna have to make a video about this but just think of your parents your mom's role is to ideally provide Psychological stability and love unconditionally and your father's is to be a bit tougher and instill discipline one your mom create psychological stability and your father helps you become more of a competent actor in the real world across world history each Society shows a pairing of masculine and feminine ideologies to give that culture

balance when a society is purely masculine or feminine it hits serious problems in China this balance is Confucianism and taoism and in the west it's been the rational aggressive Warrior Indo-European Heritage and the judeo-christian traditionally the aristocracies were trained in Greek logic and heroic Tales taking more from the first tradition and The Peasants used Christianity as a motivating factor to keep going in a hard world and one with severe hierarchies that were often oppressive however as the former peasants Rose to political power over The industrial period as well as women got a larger role in

society Christianity was turned into a political ideology while removing the theology which is communism in the same way there's toxic masculinity there is toxic femininity and communism in many ways is a toxically feminine worldview in the same way Nazism is toxically masculine imagine what a toxically feminine worldview would look like by just seeing how women act in the world the negatives Of femininity even though there are many positives are Envy using shaming for social games and power relational Warfare materialism the attempt to escape responsibility using empathy when logic is what's really necessary magical thinking and

a desire for equality or crabs in the bucket thinking at the expense of Merit this is communism personified and there is a reason that in social science studies people with more feminine oriented personalities Which includes a good chunk of men correlate very heavily with leftism for example the Assumption of human equality is just not true some people are born much smarter harder working in kind than others we know genetics influence that half of everything from intelligence to personality to hard work a society that operates off the assumption that everyone has the same ability as is

just going to fail however this belief inequality comes from Christianity and Is more appealing to people with feminine mindsets since it involves the externalizing of family relations to politics liberalism offers under what I believe to be a pretty good assumption that you should treat people legally equally and allow as much Merit through dispersed education as possible but communism takes its equal outcome families operate through everyone sharing in women's traditional role being gatherers where everything is Shared among the group families act in fundamentally communist ways where everyone shares everything and everyone tries their hardest hopefully people

with more agreeable feminine mindsets which includes a significant portion of men as said before view this as intuitively the best way to manage Society since they're oriented towards families and conflict which is the Bedrock of real politics scares them a funny thing is though when the ancient Greek writer Aristophanes during the 4th Century BC wrote A comedy about a society run by women he said it would be communist and would also use social shaming and control society as another example take John Lennon's song Imagine which posits a world without Heaven hell nothing to live for

or die for where there is no division or suffering this is a very feminine ideal for life since women are not competitive and when I first heard the song I didn't know why Other people found it attractive a world where everyone gets the same as one where the stupidest worst and laziest person from your high school it's the exact same as you no matter how hard you work or try to improve yourself it's one where there are literally no adventures and a life without meaning or purpose for men it's generally a rule that if there's

nothing worth dying for there's also nothing worth living for that's not life that's a still painting where other Characters are spiritually already dead however many people found imagine a sound like a paradise on an intuitive basis something I'm not going to cover in as much depth here because I've already spent a lot of time in these two videos explaining it is that societies are often driven by guiding emotions with guilt being the one in the West shame in most Asian societies and other cultures around the world are fear and tribal groups and communism's driving Emotion

is envy and that the thing that motivates people to have the revolution is the destruction of the Rich and then the second the Communists do kill the rich they start to cannibalize their own social structure meaning they have no other system of values you can tell that communism's driven off Envy due to its continued popularity with intellectuals even though it's failed countless times and killed millions and if they actually care about helping the poor they would Look at ideologies that have been successful at it and when you see communism they kill the rich and even

middle class people and what they end up doing is they make the poor starve and so they care more about hurting the haves than helping the poor which is the definition of envy communism makes a series of incorrect assumptions around the world that do met natural application the first is that economic growth and progress will just magically Happen the reality is that these are things that are pretty rare over history and can be destroyed in exchange for the norm of stagnation you should encourage people who are making progress or economic growth because they're pretty rare

Communists don't think about how money is produced rather how it is divided Communists also assume everyone has equal morality capability and drive which is not true at all and can be very easily proven to not be true they assume That human nature does not exist in every aspect of human culture can be programmed by socialization or education this is called the blank slate and has also been proven to become completely scientifically false they assume men and women are mentally the same which has also been proven to be false communism says that rulers are purely evil

and the oppressed are purely good which also can't be true since reality is complicated and everyone is just a human Being with both negative and positive traits and rulers or successful groups have to be good at least something to stay in or get power communism starts with so many easily provable false premises that it's doomed in the real world communism starts with what it wants to be reality and then is shocked when real conditions don't match up with it worse than that even they shame and try to destroy the careers of anyone who disagrees with

what are really their Fantasies for how they want the world to operate Communists compare the current Society to a Utopia since they are operating under false premises as said before they cannot realize that capitalism is an imperfect choice in a world of many terrible choices Communists are that capitalism causes poverty oppression inequality and everything else since they believe human nature is perfectable and naturally good and thus there can be A perfect alternative that we're missing however comparing Democratic capitalist societies to any other across history or the World shows them to be better at all of

those things including communist ones Thomas Seoul has this fascinating distinction called the open and closed view of the world in that Communists of an open view of the world or that humans are inherently perfectable and good by nature and then oppression makes them bad and makes life harder and thus any Difference you would see is caused by oppression whether between ethnicities men or women social classes meanwhile the constrained vision of the world is one held by most other philosophies over history especially in the premium modern world and by capitalism in that humans are tied down

and many factors are driven by things like geography history luck or any of that and if you see a difference it might not be driven off oppression but by some other Factor That's outside of Humanity's control and that humans are naturally flawed and you have to structure society around their own flaws which is for example why the American revolutionaries made all these checks and balances so a single person couldn't seize power and it's interesting look at the French Revolution in the American Revolution both of which are fundamentally liberal revolutions the American Constitution built off the

constrained Vision has Lasted for 250 years without interruption meanwhile the French Revolution built off the open Vision degenerated into tyranny within several months and the open Vision sounds silly in these terms however it's incredibly enticing because it Paints the people pushing it as liberators and since humanities naturally good they don't have to self-reflect because they're the good people trying to save the world and they can't do any wrong and Thomas Soul Has also said the best way to rebut a communist when they critique Society is are you comparing us to what at what cost and

what hard evidence do you have this leads me to two separate interesting intellectual rabbit holes that I'm going to cover in a separate video however you can see a very strong ideological line of dissent for communism from gnosticism which James Lindsay talks about in very cogent terms gnosticism was a religion from the Hellenistic period dredging Back to Before the birth of Christ and later evolved into a sect of Christians however Gnostic beliefs are fascinating they hold the god of the Old Testament is the devil who made an evil and crooked world to torture Humanity meanwhile

the person who Christians called the devil who gave mankind the fruit of knowledge to liberate him and Jesus is just trying to liberate us from the god of the Old Testament who is the Devil basically they swapped the Christian devil and God for the other position the founding truth of gnosticism is that man is a God who needs to realize his inherent Divinity well that of Christianity is the exact opposite or that humans are not God and ought to remain humble and submit themselves to God the gnostics that they're an association of people who realize

this hidden truth or the thus which is Greek for knowledge by joining The gnostics you gained hidden knowledge that others outside did not have this is why when you debate a communist they'll say you don't understand Marxism or you need to study Marxism more even if you've read thousands of pages on the subject as I have since they believe that once you understand its hidden truth you will immediately convert thus you really can't understand and disagree with good faith both communism and gnosticism say that they have the real Knowledge and make definitions of what is

correct knowledge in order to exclude Outsiders since they do not have real knowledge this doesn't allow any external criticism this is where Communists get the view that the world is inherently oppressive and they are part of a group of the anointed to destroy its oppression since that's literally what gnostics believe in both gnosticism and communism once you tear down the oppression we will live in a Utopia well the reality is they don't have a real plan the worldview posited by Marxism monasticism literally fits the definition of a conspiracy theory the difference between an actual articulate

worldview in a conspiracy theory is the first allows the perspective and self-interest of the conspiratorial factions while conspiracy theories view the whole perspective of everyone teaming up against your faction and it was sort of true in Marx's time That the entire European Elite had teamed up to crush the working classes but the reality across almost all of history is the elite itself is split and Elites in foreign countries are happy to help the rebels in other countries for their own gain as a side tangent in ancient philosophy there was magic that was right hand and

left-handed and that right hand magic was magic that priests would do which was magic that came from God from humility through subliminating Yourself beneath God's message and then there was a left-handed magic which was magic that came from you trying to take divine power by yourself and right hand magic came through God's good will or multiple gods in the pre-christian world and left hand magic had to come through causing suffering for other people and taking energy from elsewhere the funny comparison to throw in here is that between the constrained and unconstrained Vision where left hand

Magic does correspond to the unconstrained Vision or leftist politics that humans are inherently perfectable and can become Gods well the constrained vision is like right hand magic which says you should find your limitations first and then through those limitations you can grow and these successes and failures of the constrained strained Vision also speak to this and I understand this is kind of woo-woo but I just thought it'd be fun to throw in Here the connection between an ancient philosophy and a modern might seem tenuous however gnostics operated in Hidden associations which we have lots of

proof for that isn't a conspiracy theory in Heretics like the cathars were gnostics there were lots of Gnostic Mystic associations or clubs in early modern Europe with these being ideas that were in wide circulation among the educated Community with Germany being in a special hotbed these kinds of secret Religious associations might sound strange to us today but remember this was a very religious Society where basically every educated person studied some degree of religious philosophy and so these were widely circulated ideas Hegel had studied this and it seems likely he was in one of the secret

philosophic associations from language and terminology he's used and he uses Gnostic language all over his philosophy meanwhile Hegel was the biggest Influence on Marx to get back to the second point I just read an absolutely incredible book named the master in his Emissary that talks about the two hemispheres of the brain the right and the left the right hemisphere is capable of understanding individual circumstances seeing living things the truth and context and when tested consistently gets the correct answer more than the left the left looks through systems and aims at control and We use it

for mechanical processes the point the author makes is the right the master needs to be in charge and the left is his Emissary that allows it to act through the world and as the modern world has progressed we have betrayed the right Hemisphere and developed World Views built purely off the left left hemisphere World Views operate through an abdication of responsibility having processes that it refuses to go beyond and is in fact incapable of Looking outside of its world view and because of that it gets the wrong answer but it's incapable of saying if it

has the wrong answer it's also obsessed with the material over the living and the physical and cannot believe in or understand non-material Concepts I'm going to make a full video about this but Marxism is the exemplification of a failed left hemisphere worldview and isn't it kind of ironic that it's left-wing politics left-hand magic and Left hemisphere people who are stuck in the left brain are incapable of giving good criticism because they're incapable of thinking in a thought process besides theirs thus when they criticize others they are in fact just projecting their faults and this is

ironic with the Communists because everything that they blame the rest of society for are their problems that you can criticize them for Communists blame the rest of society for Being obsessed with power entirely cynical believing in no values and once they get into Power completely repressing and turning all of society into a tool for repression and guess what that's a pretty apt descriptor of how Communists act one time there is a communist YouTuber who criticized me and made a lengthy video doing so and I wrote down all the criticisms he made of me such as

this guy does no research he just says what's on his mind he's just Speaking off the cuff he's a narcissist he uses ad hominems and all of them were a perfect descriptor of what he did to jump off this point Communists have been the group I've argued with that are by far the least intellectually honest they often go for criticism of their opponents while refuse any evidence to the contrary for themselves post-modernism literally says it's their job to critique every aspect of the other society and if anyone critiques Them back then they are part of

the oppressive predestining Society thus criticism is physically impossible they are by far the least honest people to intellectually deal with I have ever seen they will go for shaming ad hominem attacks and anything else besides actually arguing in a rationally correct way by studying the evidence for people who claim to be a scientific ideology they actually use the scientific method to validate their ideas the least of Anyone I have seen my favorite technique to realize if someone is intellectually honest is I ask to prove my point what evidence would you need to see and then

Communists ask for something I Supply that evidence for them directly then they immediately shift their point without touching on that evidence I gave them at all I was originally going to write this video to go through the many arguments Communists use and to show why none of them are in good faith however I'm not going to do that because I realized arguing with Communists is pointless anyway they're never going to change their minds Communists make a big deal about being purely materialist and rational but that's not true because their concept of being on the right

side of history and that progress always has to happen is fundamentally spiritual and doesn't make sense without an appeal to Faith since material outputs are the only thing that matters the principles We hold on to or our attitudes do not matter this means that moral standards or things they could be judged against simply do not exist in a communist worldview this means that Communists have been capable of stunning brutality given they only believe in attaining their results and do not have any moral standards on how to reach it the worst thing about communism the thing

that's made it fundamentally so dangerous is its complete abdication of Responsibility communism is literally no place for responsibility they hold a purely materialist vision of the world or at least they say they do or only economic factors Drive history which is incredibly easy to disprove one of the Communists greatest ideological tricks is that they will provide an incredibly simplistic vision of the world and then argue that it is the most reasonable Baseline however since only economic Factors Drive history it means that your personal actions or morality doesn't matter at all we often don't see this

in the modern world but responsibility is by far the most important thing if you want to run a large organization let's use a school as an example the principal needs to lead the school whatever he passes off to the vice principal is his responsibility the teachers need to teach and the students need to learn if each individual doesn't have something They're responsible for you can't run the school because you can't remove bad people or hold people accountable for their actions but that's not how Communists viewed the world they think oh we'll just figure it out

as we go along long but that doesn't work we judge Communists based off what they say their intentions are rather than the actual structure of their world view and we can't say Communists are just good thinking people who are misguided when Their entire world view has turned irresponsibility and delusion into positives and all of the failures that have come from communism and their ability to think realistically have been clearly shown to be a feature not a bug Communists seduced societies and get them into power and get people to think that they are inherently moral and

virtuous they're using pretty sounding language however the world communism posits as One completely without responsibility it is one where losers can never be judged more harshly than the successful in fact the losers are always good no matter what they've done in a successful bad no matter what they've done this flies in the face of Darwinism which posits survival of the fittests and everyone in principle agrees with Darwinism but philosophically communism is a complete rejection of darwinistic Science and thus without this rejection of Standards There's nothing that can be held against when Communists sees power they

never think of who is responsible for each of the actions to build the Utopia or have a real plan given they use magical thinking instead they just think everything is going to work out this is always resulted in the rise of the most horrifying autocracies in history since the whole society has built of a policy of abdicating responsibility it naturally falls upon a despotic ruler This abdication of responsibility is something that can very clearly see in the figure that is probably Marx's biggest influence Russo in most ways I view Marxism as a fully fleshing out

of Russo's ideas and the ideals of a French Revolution Russo holds that the will of the people as manifested in an authoritarian ruler is the most important thing this is incredibly vague since it falls into communism's biggest mental fallacy of assuming human nature Is perfectable and is by nature good a very very important point to make is both communism and Rousseau hold that humans are naturally good at oppressive institutions make them bad thus what ends up happening is the authoritarian ruler claims rule from the people and it's the philosophy designs no mechanism like a democracy

that could actually determine it it becomes a horrifying autocracy which everything the ruler does is Justified because it's somehow The will of the people but there's no way to actually determine what the will of the people is except for what the autocrat says I do honestly think a philosophy is inseparable from the philosopher who made it you can look at men like Socrates Jesus Buddha or Marcus Aurelius who are widely considered to be Saints in their day and their World Views have been successful and respected ever since meanwhile get Nietzsche who argued for masculinity and

violence and Was a for most of his life you asked to ask if a philosophy is an unhealthy manifestation of a trait that the person themselves are apologizing for and something they haven't actually mastered and through their inability to master the philosophy they're incapable of articulating it in a realistic way this test makes Rousseau and Marx look incredibly bad Marx was a broke loser for his whole life who refused to hold a job thus resulting in two of his Children starving he was educated so he totally could have afford to keep them fed he cheated

resources and the thing is if you control a third of the human race and that's not enough for your ideology to succeed then your ideology is just terrible because those Are incredibly optimal conditions the great irony is that the intellectuals who spearheaded the revolution lost out every single time what always happens was that some Thug almost always from a criminal background before the Revolution was able to seize total power and then it went about purging every faction of Communists who did not completely agree with him eventually even purging those who did agree with him to
