with fesal announcing the new khc 18 we wanted to see what the main differences are between the new tool and the bhc 18 firstly let's take a look at size the bhc on the left is quite considerably shorter from front to back than the khc but widthwise they're about the same footprint the bhc has two modes rotation only and Hammer and rotation whereas the KC has three modes rotation only hammer and rotation plus rotation stop which is perfect for chisling the BC has these little Clips on the base to the plastic whereas the khc has
a metal clip which is a lot stronger the bhc is compatible with any of the 18vt battery range including the new 8 amp battery as is the new khc one issue I do have with the bhc is that because the batter sliding from the front the handle blocks the batteries when you're trying to remove them which is a bit annoying the bhc is able to take SDS drill bits as can the new KC but the KC truck can actually be removed and replaced with a keyless truck so you can use regular bits too they both
have similar LED work lights on the front and Weight Wise the bhc is 1.9 kilos and the khc is nearly a kilo heavier at 2.7 kilos in summary then the bhc is a little bit lighter and more compact but doesn't have the chisling Pham function whereas the khc does so if this is a feature that you need then the khc is the one for you we'd love to hear your thoughts let us know in the comments
