clung to the castle walls and the wind howled as if it carried the secrets Of the long dead Count Dracula once the terror of the night ruler of all darkness and Lord of every creeping thing stood at the window of his crumbling Castle glaring out into the storm with a face that could only be described as mildly annoyed toilet paper fluttered in the breeze hanging from the gothic spires of his ancient home each roll draped with the Precision Of a master prankster eggs had been lobbed at his once imposing front gate Yol splattering the iron
bars like some Twisted Modern Art installation and to add insult to injury a very rude drawing of a bat had been scrolled across the stone wall in what appeared to be chalk Dracula's eyes narrowed a hundred years ago any mortal bold enough to even think Of desecrating his home would have been turned into a quivering blood drained husk by now but those days seemed like a distant memory when he muttered to himself did this happen his voice echoed through the vast empty Hall behind him bouncing off the high ceilings and cold stone walls once that
very Echo might have sent chills down the spine of any who Dared enter his domain Now it only served to remind him of how very alone he was Dracula turned away from the window with a swish of his cape stalking across the grand hall his footsteps barely making a sound on the ancient floor his once Majestic home had fallen into disrepair the grand chandeliers now Heavy with dust The Velvet curtains frayed at the edges even the stone gargoyles that once watched over the castle with menacing glares seemed less impressive somehow they were chipped one had
lost a wing he paused before a mirror of course of course there was no reflection but that didn't stop him from imagining what he might look like if There had been one he raised An Elegant hand to adjust his collar tilting his head slightly as if he were posing for a portrait when did they stop fearing me his Crimson eyes flicked back to the window where the last of the prankster kids disappeared into the fog their laughter ringing in his ears the castle was quieter now than it had been in Centuries though not for lack
of trying on Dracula's part he'd once had a lively home filled with the sounds of Terror the rustle of cloaks in the night the screams of villagers the soft thud of stakes being hastily driven into to the ground a few pitchforked mobs ah those were the days but now now tourists came in droves snapping Pictures of his home treating it like some kind of morbid amusement park they'd stand on his front lawn and take selfies with his castle in the background completely oblivious to the fact that he was still very much alive well Undead and
more than capable of biting every last one of them if he so desired the audacity it wasn't that he was incapable Of terrorizing them no Dracula still had it in him he was as fearsome as ever fangs as sharp clo as billowy and eyes as blood red but The Mortals they had changed they no longer cowered they no longer trembled at his very name instead they treated him like a relic an icon from a forgotten Age worse still they laughed he passed through the Grand Dining Hall where a long dust covered table stretched out beneath
cobweb sh chandeliers it was empty save for a single cracked goblet at the head of the table his seat the one reminder that at one point he had been a feared ruler of the night hosting Grand feasts for his Undead Brethren now the place looked as though It hadn't seen a party in centuries as Dracula repeatedly paced through the castle corridors the hours crept by and the rain continued its Relentless pitter patter the count paused and looked out the window unmoving his jaw clenched tight the faintest light of dawn began to creep Over the Horizon
Dracula side not out of exhaustion he couldn't feel that Anymore but out of pure frustration with the sun rising he had no choice but to retreat reluctantly he walked toward his coffin chamber the old steps feeling harsher beneath his feet than usual he slid into his coffin the silk lined interior cool against his skin pulling the lid over himself Dracula settled in as he had done countless times Before but tonight was different his mind churned restlessly the usual Stillness evading him he tried to close his eyes tried to embrace the comforting void of sleep but
his thoughts wouldn't quiet Dracula drummed his fingers impatiently against the Velvet lining normally his coffin was a sanctuary a place where he could shut out the world and its Annoyances but tonight no this morning it felt like a prison his own mind trapping him more effectively than any steak or holy water he he turned onto his side adjusting the folds of his cloak still his thoughts spiraled back to the laughter of those pranksters the toilet paper the crude and offensive bat Drawings it gored at him the humiliation of it all was unbearable toilet paper Dracula
shifted again hours passed he tapped his fingers again a habit he hadn't realized he developed and finally stopped exhaling sharply through his nose this will not stand he muttered aloud his voice barely more than a growl In the pitch black perhaps it's time to remind them he whispered to himself his fanged grin beginning to spread wide yes it was time he would show them no he would teach them that fear was still very much alive he would reclaim his place as the ruler of the Night the true master of Terror as the sun set once
more the thought of his return to form was enough to bring a slight spring to the Count's step as he slid out from his bed and made his way to the front door the Mist parted as he stepped outside his cloak billowing behind him dramatically Dracula always knew how to make an entrance and tonight he would make sure it was Memorable the village of Brasov lay nestled at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains its cobblestone streets winding between Crooked Houses with tiled roofs the rain had done little to discourage the few stragglers who walked the
streets their heads bent low as they hurried through the evening among them a young couple strolled hand In hand their footsteps muffled by the wet pavement they were laughing blissfully unaware of the dark figure that loomed behind them hidden in the thickening Mist Dracula unseen moved closer his red eyes glowing faintly as he prepared to make his move he was so close now he could hear their conversation talk of trivial human things plans for the next day the Upcoming Harvest Festival all meaningless in the grand scheme of Eternity his cloak billowed silently as he extended
his hand toward them he would show them fear he would remind them of his power the woman gasped clutching her partner's arm as Dracula stepped into the dim glow of the Street Lamp his tall figure preceded by a long Sinister Shadow but instead of Screams instead of the fear he had so desperately craved the young man merely sighed in relief oh it's just Dracula he said with a chuckle nudging his girlfriend for a second I thought it was Nosferatu the words hit Dracula like a stake through the heart just Dracula what did they mean just
Dracula the woman smiled relaxing as she patted her boyfriend's Arm thank goodness it's not NOS feratu what who Dracula blinked momentarily stunned his dramatic entrance had been met with indifference his very name had been brushed aside dismissed like some minor inconvenience and worse worse than the indifference was the fact that this NOS feratu was apparently more fearsome than Him the nerve before Dracula could react the couple had already turned away walking off into the night with a light-hearted laugh completely unaware of the Tempest of Fury Brewing behind them NOS feratu Dracula thought bitterly his fists
clenching at his sides who in the blazes is Nosferatu the rain had only worsened by The time Dracula found himself back in his castle his mood as dark as the clouds hanging heavy over the Carpathian Mountains he had returned to his cold empty Throne Room the sound of water dripping from his cloak onto the stone floor the only noise in the vast space the couple's words thank goodness it's not NOS veratu still rattled around in his mind Like a fly trapped in a web his carefully crafted plan for Terror completely derailed by that one name
small puddles of water began to form around him from his cloak and to his dismay his usually slicked back hair always Immaculate had become unkempt strands beginning to curl and frizz at the edges he ran a hand through it in frustration but it did little to fix the disarray even his appearance it seemed Was beginning to betray him he let out a low growl stalking toward his massive library at the far end of the hall the Torches lining the walls flickered to life as he passed by the smell of old parchment and dust grew stronger
as he neared the library doors a place of knowledge of History a place where surely he would find answers the library doors creaked open With a groan and Dracula stepped inside his gaze sweeping across the Towering shelves filled with centuries of accumulated knowledge the room was Grand a Cathedral of books but it too had fallen victim to the creeping Decay that plagued the rest of the castle cobwebs stretched between the shelves and a thick layer of dust Co every surface no one had touched these Toms in Decades maybe even centuries but that was about to
change with a flick of his wrist Dracula summoned a small flame to his fingertips lighting the candelabras that lined the room the warm Amber glow did little to chase away the Gloom that clung to the corners of the room but that was fine Gloom suited him NOS Feratu the mere thought of it made his fangs itch he had ruled over these lands for centuries his very name had been synonymous with fear and now now some other vampire was stealing his Spotlight no no this would not stand he would comb through all the Vampire law every
mention of this Nosferatu he would scour every Library every Dusty tone every forgotten scroll if it took centuries if he had to cross every continent and search every corner of the world he would uncover the truth his pale fingers skimmed over the ancient spines of countless books before pausing over a particularly Old an important looking one the leather cover was cracked and worn the title barely legible The Chronicles of the undead he pulled it from the shelf and opened it the pages crackling under his touch but this wasn't what he needed he didn't need history
he he needed to understand how the world had changed how vampires had Changed with a frustrated snarl he tossed the book onto a nearby table no this wouldn't do what he needed was something more recent something that could explain why the modern world had abandoned true Terror in favor of whatever this Nosferatu nonsense was he moved to another shelf this one filled with more contemporary Works at least contemporary by vampire standards his fingers trailed over titles like the evolution of monsters and the modern myths of darkness before finally stopping on a small un assuming volume
that looked completely out of place among the ancient Toms Twilight Dracula's brows furrowed as he pulled the book from the Shelf it was small with a cover Featuring a pair of pale hands holding a red apple it didn't look like much but something about it seemed off he opened it and his eyes skimmed the first few pages quickly scanning the words and then he froze the castle was silent save for the sound of the rain battering the windows and the occasional crackle of the fire In the Hearth but here in this Library something far more
dangerous was brewing something far more horrifying than any thunderstorm Dracula the Lord of vampires the king of the night was seething he stood Frozen in place staring at the pages of the book in his hands his expression a mixture of disbelief and Rage he read again and again the same few lines his eyes growing wider with each pass the sunlight streaming Through the Windows caught his skin making it Sparkle like a thousand tiny diamonds sparkle Sparkle Dracula slammed the book shut with such force that the nearby shelves rattled Dust falling from the rafters like the
ashes of a once great Empire he stared at the offending volume his hands trembling with barely contained Fury this this Abomination dared to call itself a vampire story the protagonist this Edward was no vampire He was a walking disco ball sparkling vampires what had the world come to he had spent centuries cultivating an image of Terror of Darkness of blood soaked nights and fear only for it to be reduced to this sparkling brooding teenager Dracula threw the book across the room where it hit the far wall and slid to the floor with a pitiful thud
for a long moment he just stood There Breathing heavily despite the fact that he didn't actually need to breathe his chest Rose and fell in time with his Fury sparkling he muttered pacing the length of the library with his cloak billowing behind him vampir do not Sparkle he had always considered himself an intellectual he had studied the great minds of history from Plato to N and had spent centuries refining his understanding of the human psyche fear was his art and he had perfected it and yet this book this Twilight had reduced his High kind to
glittering fashion models was this what the world thought of vampires now was this why people no longer feared him no he wouldn't accept It Dracula stormed over to another shelf his fingers trembling with anger as he pulled down another book this one far more serious in tone with a dark elegant cover Interview with the Vampire he thumbed through the pages his eyes narrowing as he took in the words Louie the protagonist was melancholic full of existential dread pondering his place in the World he was Immortal yes but miserable he mourned the loss of his Humanity
Dracula's lip curled in disgust I didn't give up my Humanity just to whine about it he muttered under his breath this Louie character spent his entire existence wallowing in self-pity musing about whether or not he had a soul Souls Dracula thought were highly overrated But at least Louie had the decency to drink blood at least he didn't Sparkle he slammed Interview with the Vampire shut and tossed it onto the floor beside Twilight his eyes burned with frustration as he glared at the two books as if his sheer indignation could set them a light how had
it all gone so wrong he ran a hand through his dark Hair pacing once more as his mind churned modern media had completely missed the point of vampires they weren't brooding heartthrobs or misunderstood monsters they were predators dangerous cunning and Powerful they didn't sit around moping about the burden of immortality they reveled in it what had happened to the days of true Terror when the very mention of Dracula's name sent chills down the spines of Mortals now instead of fear he was greeted with admiration admiration from teenage girls no less as if they understood what
it meant to be a creature of the night he pinched the bridge of his arched nose and pulled another book from the Shelf The Vampire Diaries He skimmed through the pages shaking his head frantically more romantic entanglements more existential crises and then there was the vegetarian vampire concept A Vampire who refused to drink human blood instead feeding on the blood of animals Preposterous Vegetarian Dracula spat his voice filled with Venom what's next a vegan werewolf his hands clenched around the book's spine and for a moment it seemed like he might rip it in half instead
he threw it across the room where it joined the growing pile of discarded novels he stood in the middle of the library his chest heaving with Fury Dracula had never felt so insulted in all his centuries of existence he the Prince of Darkness the most feared being in all of Transylvania reduced to this Sparkles self-pity and vegetarianism it was an affront to everything he stood for but no more he wouldn't allow this insult to continue the world had forgotten what it meant to fear Vampires to cower in the face of true power they had traded
Terror for romance well Dracula would remind them he would bring back the fear the dread the sleepless nights filled with Terror and it would start with Nosferatu Dracula's eyes narrowed as he recalled the name the Prince of Darkness dismissed in favor of that shadowy Pretender the one vampire who apparently still commanded fear the one vampire who had managed to stay relevant while Dracula had been reduced to a joke what did Nosferatu have that he didn't and more importantly how could he put an end to this nonsense and reclaim his rightful place as the true Master
of the night Dracula stormed over to his desk pulling out a blank sheet of parchment And dipping his quill into a pot of ink if he was going to solve this mystery he would need to do it the oldfashioned way through strategy and careful planning first he would start small scare the villagers again a light warm up like a Brisk jog before the real hunt began after all his first attempt with the couple didn't count it had been a while since he'd Struck Terror into their hearts and he forgot to stretch before flexing old muscles
so yes he'd start small in scaring a villager or two or three then he'd dive into the real task finding out everything there was to know about this so-called vampire not feratu where had he come from what were his Weaknesses and most importantly how had he managed to steal his fearsome reputation Dracula's eyes gleamed as he made his list the real thrill would come when he finally hunted down Nosferatu oh he would find him and when he did Nosferatu would regret ever stepping into his shadow Dracula would reclaim his place as the most feared creature
in the world let the hunt Begin the wind howled through the Carpathian Mountains as Dracula stood at the edge of the forest gazing down at the quaint Village of Brasov his Crimson eyes glinted with determination his cloak billowing dramatically behind him though no one was there to witness the effect not that it mattered tonight was not about Appearances well mostly not about appearances tonight was about Terror his gaze swept over the village below taking in the narrow cobblestone streets the dim glow of lanterns in the windows the quiet Stillness of the night somewhere deep within
the forest's Shadows a group of teenagers had gathered Dracula could hear their laughter carried on the wind and the Scent of their warm blood called to him like a siren song it was the perfect opportunity they were young impressionable and compl completely oblivious to the fact that one of the greatest Monsters of all time was about to descend upon them Dracula took a deep breath not that he needed to of course it was simply a habit a moment of preparation before the Show he could feel the familiar pull of his transformation as his body began
to shift bones elongating wings Wings sprouting from his back in seconds he had become a bat his small dark form cutting through the night like a silent Shadow the air was crisp the sky clear save for the faint glow of the Moon and as Dracula soared over the Treetops he could already hear The Whispers of the teenagers below their Voices floating up to him the clearing was small nestled deep within the woods where the trees parted just enough to allow a glimpse of the Starry Sky above a group of five teenagers sat around a flickering
campfire their faces glowing in the orange light their breath rising in small clouds of mist as they huddled together against the night's chill They were telling stories scary stories no doubt how quaint Dracula's bat form circled above them his Keen hearing picking up Snippets of their conversation and then she looked in the mirror and he was right behind her one of the boys said his voice trembling as he reached the climax of his tail the others gasped giggling Nervously as they exchanged glances one of the girls let out a nervous laugh hugging her knees to
her chest that's so lame Alex she said vampires don't just sneak up on people like that they're supposed to be wav [Music] and like super handsome Dracula's tiny bers twitched Suave handsome was that how they saw him now he was so much more than that he was Terror incarnate the teenagers continued their discussion completely unaware of the ancient Predator hovering above them waiting for his moment Dracula's bat form swooped lower his beady eyes reflecting the fire light with a burst of speed Dracula Dove toward the Group his wings slicing through the air as he descended
upon them he could already imagine their screams their wide-eyed Terror as they scrambled away from the fire their hearts pounding in their chests as he revealed his true form but as he neared the ground something unexpected happened one of the teenagers a lanky boy with glasses looked up just as Dracula was about to Land his expression shifting from confused to excitement whoa check it out the boy said pointing Skyward a bat Dracula faltered his wings flapping awkwardly as he tried to regain control the girl next to the boy followed his gaze her eyes lighting up
oh it's so cute she squealed reaching out as if she could actually pet Him look at its Little [Music] Wings Dracula screeched pulling up sharply to avoid her outstretched hand cute cute he flapped wildly his small bat form flailing in the air as the teenagers giggled and pointed at him this was not the reaction action he had been expecting not even close oh my God I want one as a Pet one of the girls said her voice filled with delight do you think it's lost Dracula screeched again this time louder as if to remind them
that he was not some harmless little creature he was Count Dracula Lord of Darkness and were supposed to be terrified of him but the more he screeched the more they laughed look it's trying to talk to Us one of the boys said imitating Dracula's high-pitched cry with a laugh maybe it's hungry Dracula was livid absolutely livid David he Dove again this time aiming straight for the campfire in the center of the group hoping to scatter the teenagers in a flurry of wings and fear but instead of running in Terror They just leaned back and clapped
their hands laughing even harder Dracula let out one last Furious Screech before flapping his wings frantically and soaring back into the trees he flew higher and higher until the laughter faded into the distance his tiny bat heart pounding with frustration this this had not gone according to Plan back in the safety of the forest Dracula transformed back into his human form his cloak swirling around him as he stood in the shadows his expression was was one of pure indignation cute they called him cute he was supposed to be the embodiment of all that haunted mortal
dreams and instead he had been reduced to a petting zoo Attraction Dracula Beed his fangs as he clenched his fists the world had changed yes but this was unacceptable he glared back in the direction of the campfire but he couldn't bear to show his face again not after that this was supposed to be the night he reclaimed his Title this was supposed to be the night they feared him again instead it was the night they CED at him with a heavy sigh Dracula turned on his heel ready to return to his castle and regroup he'd
have to think of another plan maybe something more dramatic something more unmistakably terrifying but before he could take another step A rustling sound from the nearby bushes caught his attention Dracula's sharp eyes narrowed as he peered into the underbrush his senses on high alert suddenly something large burst out of the bushes barreling straight toward him at full speed Dracula barely had time to react before he was knocked off his feet his body colliding with something Furry and wet he hit the ground with a grunt mud splattering across his cloak as the force of the impact
sent him skidding across the forest floor for a moment he just lay there Dazed and Confused his vision swimming as he tried to make sense of what had just happened then he heard it a low guttural growl followed by the unmistakable sound of Panting he blinked sitting up slowly only to find himself face to face with a large mud soaked creature The Wolfman Dracula groaned rubbing his Temple as he stared at the furry figure standing before him its tongue lulling out of its mouth as it panted heavily droplets of water and mud clinging to its
fur really dracul muttered pushing Himself to his feet of all the nights The Wolfman let out a low wine shaking himself like a dog fresh out of a bath mud flew in all directions splattering across Dracula's already ruined cloak Dracula gasped with disgust as he wiped the mud from his face you're ruining my well planned evening he Snapped I'm trying to be menacing and you come crashing in like some oversized Mud The Wolfman just stared at him his head tilted to the side in what could only be described as a sheepish expression with a huff
Dracula threw his hands up in frustration unbelievable The Wolfman oblivious to the Count's bubbling Anger sat down on his hunches his tail thumping against the ground as he looked up at the vampire with wide apologetic eyes it was as if he didn't understand why Dracula was upset after all they were both creatures of the night weren't they surely they could work together or something Dracula rubbed his jaw letting out a long exasperated Sigh this night had gone from bad to worse in record time he needed to leave but as he turned to leave The Wolfman
let out a low pitiful wine his eyes following Dracula with a look that could only be described as sad Dracula paused his annoyance faltering for just a moment as he glanced back at the creature what he asked his voice laced With irritation do you expect me to feel sorry for you you're the one who ruined everything the wolfman's ears flattened and he let out another soft wine his tail drooping between his legs Dracula rolled his eyes fine whatever just stay out of my way next Time with that he turned on his heel and stalked off
into the night his muddy cloak trailing behind him the Wolfman watched him go his head tilting to the side in confusion before finally standing up and trotting off in the opposite direction as Dracula disappeared into the Shadows his mind red with thoughts of Revenge of redemption of regaining his rightful Place but one thing was certain this Knight would go down in history as one of the most humiliating of his long Undead life the wind howled through the narrow mountain passes as Count Dracula made his way deeper into the Carpathian Mountains his mind consumed with a
single burning goal find Nosferatu he'd become consumed by this Obsession scouring every Dusty book Consulting questionable Scrolls even browsing the dark web don't ask how he found mentions of Nosferatu here and there creepy long-fingered shadowy and somehow managing to pull off Primal Terror without the flare Dracula prided himself on the more he read the more incensed he became this Nosferatu didn't even have style he was practically a walking Ceper and yet Mortals feared him more through his exha Ave research Dracula finally tracked him down deep in the Carpathian Mountains hiding like a coward of course
Nosferatu had no Castle no reputation to uphold no wonder he had flown under the radar which is how Dracula now found himself scaling these treacherous paths Crawling through Rocky terrain like some common Adventurer the path ahead twisted and turned each Bend shrouded in fog so thick it felt like a physical barrier as if the mountains themselves conspired to keep him from his prey but Dracula pressed on his heightened senses guiding him toward the one thing that had eluded him for too long a direct confrontation with Nosferatu the rumors he had followed thus far had led
him here to the deepest most isolated part of the carpathians where even the bravest of Mortals dared not Venture he could feel it the air was different here charged with an energy that sent a shiver down his spine though he would never admit it there was Something wrong about this place something that unsettled even Dracula but fear was not something Dracula allowed himself to feel no fear was his weapon his art he was here to reclaim it Nosferatu had stolen that from him and Dracula intended to take it back the trail of rumors had been
faint at first whispers in the Dark fragments of conversations overheard in shadowy taverns Nosferatu had become a figure of Legend more myth than man if one could even call him a man at all the stories spoke of a creature more ancient than Dracula more Primal and far more grotesque where Dracula had prided himself on his Elegance his charm Nosferatu had taken the opposite Path he was not composed or sophisticated he was raw monstrous and utterly terrifying in his base Simplicity Dracula's lip curled in disgust at the thought but the fear Nosferatu inspired was undeniable Mortals
whispered his name with trembling voices their faces pale as they describe the Hideous figure that haunted their nightmares it was that fear that bone Deep Terror that Dracula so desired to belong to him again and to do so he had to face Nosferatu he reached the mouth of a dark cave nestled between the jagged Cliffs of the mountain the air here was colder the wind sharper and the Shadows deeper this was the place he could feel it Nosferatu was Close Dracula hesitated for a moment at the entrance of the cave his sharp senses scanning the
darkness ahead there was no sound no movement only the suffocating Stillness of the Void with a slow deliberate step he entered the cave his form melting into the Shadows like a wraith the Cavern was a Labyrinth of twisting tunnels and Jagged rock Formations the walls slick with moisture that dripped in slow steady droplets like the ticking of a clock Dracula moved through the darkness with ease his vampiric senses guiding him as his thoughts swirled he had imagined this moment for weeks now his confrontation with Nosferatu how would it play out would the ancient vampire cower
Before him recognizing Dracula as the rightful ruler of their kind or would he fight foolishly attempting to hold on to a crown that was not his to wear either way Dracula was ready the passage ahead narrowed and he could feel the presence of something or someone waiting for him his eyes glowed faintly in the Darkness as he approached the heart of the cave where the walls opened up into a large for boing chamber there perched on a Ledge above a pool of still black water was Nosferatu Dracula stopped his gaze narrowing as he took in
the sight of the creature before him Nosferatu was unlike anything he had expected he was tall impossibly thin With long spindly limbs that seemed to stretch out unnaturally from his emaciated body his skin was Ashen almost translucent and his eyes sunken deep into his skull glowed with a pale sickly light his fingers ended in long claw-like nails and his mouth Twisted into a grotesque grin revealed Rose of jagged sharp Teeth almost as if they'd been filed down but it was his presence that unsettled Dracula the most there was something wrong about him something that defied
the natural order Nosferatu was not merely a vampire he was a creature from a darker more Twisted place a being that embodied fear in its most original form nosferatu's grin widened as he Spotted Dracula standing at the end entrance to the chamber he tilted his head to the side his thin lips curling into a sneer well well Nosferatu rasped his voice slithering through the cave like a serpent cold and mocking look who's come crawling out of his crumbling Castle the mighty Count Dracula himself draged down to my Level Dracula's eyes narrowed to Red slits a
flicker of pure Venom behind them NOS feratu he said his voice cold and sharp I didn't come here for pleasantries you've stolen what's mine fear power everything and I'll rip it from you one piece at a time NOS Fatu let out a dry grating laugh his sharp yellow teeth gleaming in the dim light like a predator toying with its Prey stolen no Dracula you lost it I merely picked up what you so carelessly let slip through your fingers what's the matter the Great count can't keep his grip on the world anymore Dracula stepped closer his
voice dropping to a deadly whisper you think hiding in Shadows Makes you Untouchable you think you can replace me I'll tear out your throat Nosferatu and feed you to the werewolves piece by piece until there's nothing left but a myth Nosferatu leaned forward his grotesque features distorted further by the Shadows you want to rip me apart try it but let's not pretend you're here for vengeance you're here because you know deep down you're Obsolete and that terrifies you more than anything Dracula's eyes burned with fear Fury his hand twitching at his side I won't just
destroy you I'll erase you they'll forget you ever existed nosferatu's grin never faltered if you're so sure of that count then what are you waiting for the two vampires stood in Silence the tension between them thick as fog suffocating the very Air Dracula's Crimson eyes bored into nosferatu's pale sunken gaze they were creatures of the same night yet Worlds Apart Dracula the refined predator and Nosferatu the embodiment of raw unfiltered Terror You've Lost Your Edge Nosferatu sneered his voice a rasp that grated against the stone Walls you've spent too much time playing the Charming host
letting Mortals gwk at your elegance but me he spread his spindly fingers his grin widening into something inhuman I've stayed true to what we are I don't waste time with seduction or flare I am what they fear because I am what they cannot understand Dracula's temper flared his cloak swirling around him as he took a Slow deliberate step forward I am still the Lord of vampires I have ruled for centuries and I will not be reduced to some forgotten footnote by the Light of you nosferatu's grin remained unchanged his eyes gleaming with sick satisfaction they
fear me because I'm the thing they can't look away from The Nightmare they pretend doesn't exist you though you've made yourself into a Myth dressed up in plastic fangs and cheap costumes for their Amusement they've made you safe and I am the thing that still crawls under their skin the words stung like ice but Dracula kept his expression rigid refusing to give Nosferatu the satisfaction of seeing doubt flicker in his eyes instead he straightened as he rose to his full imposing Height Dracula hissed his voice a dangerous whisper I will remind you exactly who you're
dealing with nosferatu's laugh was harsh Jagged like claws scraping across bone Dracula's fangs Beed in a silent snarl his Fury barely contained Nosferatu was everything Dracula despised raw Basse a creature that reveled in its lack of Sophistication but beneath that Twisted exterior there was something undeniably true Nosferatu thrived in the chaos while Dracula had clung to his fading Legacy and that realization only made Dracula's rage burn hotter for a moment the cave was silent the air crackled with tension thick with the promise of violence then without warning Nosferatu vanished one moment he was there his
learing smirk haunting the Shadows and the next he melted into the darkness as if he had never existed Dracula's eyes darted through the cave searching for any trace of the ancient vampire but the chamber was empty save for the black pool of water at its Center a low grumbling disappointment rumbled from Dracula's chest as the realization sank in Nosferatu had fled slinking into the Shadows like the coward he was but this wasn't over not by a long shot lightning blitzed overhead as Dracula begrudgingly made his way down from the cave his thoughts simmering like a
pot left too long on the fire he couldn't help but feel insulted crawling down the mountain like some Hill goat covered in mud and the sour taste of Defeat reaching the foot of the mountain Dracula decided he wasn't ready to go straight back to the castle his thoughts were too loud too cluttered he needed to walk clear his head maybe scare a villager or two as a pickme up it wasn't long before he found himself strolling through the pushy w weekend crowds in the village of Brasov the town bustling with people out for a lively
Evening the paved streets were packed with Mortals and they paid him no mind as they shoved past him Dracula's eye twitched he gripped the edges of his cloak tightly as if disgusted by their mere contact it was bad enough that he wasn't feared anymore but to be treated like any other passer by it was infuriating another sharp elbow to the ribs and Dracula had had Enough he stopped dead in his tracks turned sharply and hissed his fangs gleaming under the street lamps the culprit a small hunched old woman didn't flinch instead she squinted up at
him through thick glasses clearly unimpressed and whacked him across the chest with her purse what kind of creep are you she barked raising the purse for another Whack Dracula recoiled his pride smarting almost as much as The Sting from the bag the crowd around them began to look curious about the commotion without a word he quickly turned and hurried down the street to get away from his assaulter his cloak swishing behind him as the woman called after him ready to swing again Dracula cleared his throat As He Adjusted his collar and smoothed back his hair
which had started to frizz again from The Damp air he muttered to himself still stewing over the evening's events his pride was bruised but there were bigger problems to focus on nosferatu's Words echoed in his mind taunting him at every step just as he neared the dark path leading up to his Castle Dracula's Keen hearing picked up an all too familiar voice evening count came the Cheery call of Dr Frankenstein waving from his front yard the doctor was trimming the bushes around his modest estate with a pair of oversized hedge clippers how's it going you
should stop by soon and meet my new friend he's a real Character Dracula's shoulders stiffened and he quickly lifted his cloak to hide his face hastening his steps without looking back sure sure he called out hurriedly though his voice was more a Mumble as if hoping not to be heard Frankenstein waved with enthusiasm great I'll hold you to it he shouted after Dracula but the count was already halfway up The Path eager to leave the social niceties and the whole wretched evening behind him as he finally reached his castle Gates Dracula let out a sigh
smoothing his hair One Last Time patting down a stray strand of hair that refused to comply he stro toward his study where a pile of books still lay discarded from his previous Research into modern Vampire law they mocked him every page a reminder of his failure Dracula swept the books off the desk with one swift motion sending them crashing to the floor in a cloud of dust enough of this Nosferatu had made a point one that Dracula could no longer [Music] ignore fear was something that had to be Earned not assumed he paced the length
of the study his mind racing as he began to formulate his plan he needed something Grand something undeniable a demonstration of power that would strike Terror into the hearts of of every Mortal within miles and then it came to him the perfect opportunity the village of brof Was preparing for their annual Halloween Festival Dracula had heard the preparations for weeks now the villagers bustling about with decorations costumes and the typical mortal nonsense that accompanied their attempts at at mimicking the supernatural how fitting that the true embodiment of Terror would make his triumphant return on the
very night they celebrated fear yes it was Perfect he would descend upon the village in the dead of night when the revelers were at their most vulnerable he would unleash his full powers the very forces that had made him a legend Dracula allowed himself a small satisfied Smile as he envisioned the chaos that would ensue he could already hear their gasps Of Terror smell the hot blood pounding in their chests as they scrambled to escape his reach by the time the night was over the name Dracula would be spoken with reverence and fear once again
but first he needed to wash his clothes this sludge caked outfit would simply not do he grimaced as he carefully wiped at The grime muttering under his breath just as he was about to remove another stubborn smudge he heard a low growl followed by the unmistakable scratching of claws against the heavy wooden door Dracula's shoulders slumped his satisfaction evaporated as the incessant pouring grew louder he knew exactly who it was with a resigned sigh he turned toward the door already dreading the Sight sure enough The Wolfman stood outside scratching at the door his fur dripping
wet with leaves Tangled in his matted coat his yellow eyes gleamed with a pitiful sort of eagerness as if he were expecting a warm welcome Dracula waved him off inelegantly not now he muttered I've had quite enough Misfortune for one evening but the Wolfman as usual paid no mind to Dracula's weariness a deep Rumble escaped him not a threat but something almost jovial his tail wagged slapping against the door frame as if he were some overgrown stray dog eager to come inside Dracula opened the door reluctantly glaring down at the creature I'm busy what do
you want the Wolfman trotted in without invitation his excitement evident as he Sniffed around and immediately began circling Dracula's legs in an absurd dance his tail wagged so furiously that it sent dust and debris flying in every direction stop that at once Dracula hissed stepping back as his cape swirled dramatically narrowly avoiding the muddy Assault The Wolfman of course did not stop instead he knocked over a chair in his enthusiasm sending it clattering to the floor Dracula cast an exasperated glance Toward the window time was running short and he needed to focus on his plan
not deal with this nuisance realizing that reasoning with the Beast was a lost cause he sighed heavily his eyes flick toward the kitchen there was only one way to distract the creature from his chaotic Behavior with a sense of defeat Dracula headed down the stonehall hallway to the kitchens cursing to Himself he opened a large creaking cabinet and pulled out a slab of meat so large he could scarcely remember the animal it had come from barely sparing the effort to hold it properly he carried it back to the study where the Wolfman had started sniffing
at the curtains here draa said flatly dropping the enormous snack in Front of the Wolfman who perked up instantly eat that and leave me in peace The Wolfman pounced on the meat with an enthusiasm that was both revolting and impressive chomping away noisily Dracula shaking his head turned his attention back to the task at hand he could only hope the creature would stay distracted long enough for him to finish plotting and regain what little dignity he had Left the Halloween party would begin soon and he needed to prepare with a flick of his wrist he
summoned a map of the village the parchment unfurling in midair as he studied it with Keen eyes the Town Square would be the epicenter center of the festivities a large open space filled with stalls decorations and of course The Mortals themselves blissfully unaware his plan was simple but Effective he would begin by surrounding the square transforming into a massive swarm of bats that would blacken the sky the villagers would Panic running in every direction as they tried to escape the onslaught and just when they thought they were safe Dracula would appear in the center his
cloak billowing around him as he revealed his true form he could practically hear the Desperate cries for Mercy he closed his eyes picturing the ecstatic moment of rebirth when a loud crash echoed through the study followed by a low mournful howl Dracula's eyes snapped open and he turned sharply pupils darkening as he saw the Wolfman had managed to knock over an entire bookshelf sending a Cascade of historic Sacred Toms to the floor the creature sat amidst the chaos his yellow slits wide with an apologetic innocence you are ruining everything Dracula muttered his patience hanging by
a thread The Wolfman let out a soft wine his ears drooping as he slunk closer as if seeking forgiveness Dracula glared at him for a long moment his mind racing with a hundred different ways to rid himself of This Troublesome creature but then an idea struck him an idea so absurd so ridiculous that it might just work what if Dracula began his voice thoughtful as he eyed The Wolfman what if you helped the wolfman's ears perked up his tail wagging furiously as he let out a low bark Dracula raised an eyebrow I'm not saying I
want nor need your help he clarified quickly but well you could prove useful as a distraction perhaps The Wolfman barked again his hairy Paws swiping across the floor with enthusiasm Dracula sighed already regretting his decision fine he muttered but don't get in my Way I have a plan the Wolfman bounded to his feet as he followed Dracula out of the study and toward the castle Gates the Knight was still young and the village lay waiting The Village Square was alive with the sounds of laughter and music as the Halloween festivities kicked into full swing the
villagers had gone all out this year their costumes elaborate and Their decorations even more so a shopkeep dressed as a gallant Knight sold a comically oversized fake spider to a young girl dressed as a witch pumpkins lined the streets their carved faces flickering with candle light and Banners hung from every building proclaiming the night a celebration of all things spooky but they didn't know what real Terror was not yet Dracula stood at the edge of the forest hidden in the shadows as he watched the festivities unfold fold it was almost too perfect stretching out his
arms dramatically Dracula closed his eyes and began to transform his body dissolved into a swarm of bats each one flapping its wings in Unison as they took to the sky forming a massive Cloud that blotted out the moon the villagers looked up in confusion as the bat swarmed overhead their wings filling the air with a deafening Roar for a moment Panic gripped the crowd and Dracula allowed himself a small satisfied smile this was it this was the fear he had been Craving but just as the crowd began to scream and Scatter one of the villagers
a man dressed as a vampire of all things pointed at The Cloud of bats and shouted wow check out those special effects the crowd froze their Panic dissolving into laughter as they stared up at the bats in awe Dracula's swarm faltered for a Moment the bats hovering in confusion special effects was this some kind of joke suddenly one of the villagers a man dressed as a pirate with a ridiculous plastic sword strapped to his belt stepped forward with an excited grin look at that those wings look so real before Dracula could react the fool reached
out and grabbed at his wings tugging on them as if he were some Novelty toy unhand me you vile oath is what Dracula would have yelled but instead his little bat body Twisted violently and in a flash of instinct he bit down on the man's hand the pirate clad villager yelped in pain jerking his hand away as Dracula's tiny bat Fang sunk into his flesh ow what The he muttered shaking his hand and glaring at the little creature turning to his wife the man winced rubbing his hand I need to find the manager of this
Festival I'm not paying for undisclosed dangerous attractions like this he stomped off complaining about safety regulations leaving Dracula hanging midair his rage seething finally Dracula gave up on the bats and returned to his normal Form Landing in the center of the square with the dramatic flare of his cloak the villagers gasped their eyes widening as they took in the sight of the infamous count standing before them but before he could speak before he could unleash the terror he had been preparing for the villagers erupted into [Music] Applause well done one of them Clapped that costume
is amazing Dracula's eye twitched he stood there fuming in the center of the village Square Decades of anger boiling over this crowd of foolish Mortals dared to laugh at him mock him his reputation had to be restored and there was only one way left to do that by making an example of one of them his eyes locked onto a woman Dressed as a mummy poorly wrapped in strips of toilet paper pathetic he thought bearing his fangs as he began his slow deliberate Advance he could already taste the warm blood that would flow from her neck
but even that would not be as sweet as the screams and alarms that would sound whether it was The Village Church bells from centuries ago or the police sirens of the present Day it was all the same to him the beautiful Melody of Terror but just as he was preparing to strike to sink his fangs into her unsuspecting throat disaster barreled in the Wolfman came charging through the square barking excitedly his furry body collided with Dracula's legs tripping him mid stride Dracula stumbled his cape tangling as he barely kept himself from Toppling over the woman
oblivious to her near fate bent down and helped him up while a little boy dressed as a superhero ran up and knelt beside the Wolfman the boy ruffled his fur grinning from ear to ear mom look even the dog has a costume the villagers laughed louder than ever completely unaware of how close They had come to witnessing Dracula's true nature Dracula stared down at the Wolfman his long deadly fingers ringing the air in anger you are still ruining everything he growled through clenched teeth The Wolfman just panted happily looking up at him with wide innocent
eyes Dracula fell to his knees bemoaning his fate he had Tried he had given it his all but now tripped up by a blundering beast and mocked by a village of laughing Mortals it was clear the night was not his no matter what he did the world had moved on from fear or the fear of him at least and perhaps perhaps Nosferatu had been right for the first time in centuries Dracula Felt tired Dracula's footsteps trudged hollowly through the dimly lit Halls of his castle he staggered slightly the half drained Goblet of aged blood in
his hand sloshing lazily as he took another long drink the liquid was centuries old pulled from the deepest recesses of his cellar Rich velvety but unable to numb the growing ache inside Him humming a melancholic tune to himself he wandered through the corridors aimless his cape dragging behind him like a funeral shroud he found himself in his old sitting room a place he rarely visited anymore slumping onto a couch he set the Goblet aside and leaned forward elbows on his knees his gaze drifted to an old wooden chest tucked under a grand portrait of himself
in his Prime fangs Beed and not a hair out of place he frowned at the painting then reached for the chest and opened it with a creek inside were relics of his former glory at the top an album of old photographs yellowed with time he hesitated then flipped it open the memories crashing over him one image showed him standing at top a grand staircase in a ballroom his eyes burning with Hunger around him masked dancers unaware of the danger twirled beneath glittering chandeliers he remembered that night the fear as they realized too late who was
among them it had been one of his most glorious conquests then there were the letters piles of them each sealed with the broken wax emblem of Nobility letters of fear of begging of surrender some from humans others from fellow creatures of the night imploring him for alliances for Mercy for protection his revery was shattered by a familiar rasping voice from the Shadows of the room feeling nostalgic are we Dracula sobered up immediately from the Gloom emerged Nosferatu with his horrifically ugly Jagged teeth splitting his leathery face in a wide smile Dracula's hand twitched fingers tightening
on the armrest of the couch as he watched Nosferatu Step Closer You Dare enter my domain oh but I've been here for some time Nosferatu sneered his voice a venomous whisper I saw it all the spectacle in the Village Square it was Embarrassing you're a disgrace to Our Kind I'm here to put you out of your misery the words settled in the air like a death sentence Dracula's eyes blazed red with Fury as his hands curled into fists you think you can challenge me in my castle nosferatu's Twisted figure slithered closer his gaunt frame moving
like something long Dead but still filled with Sinister purpose his pale clawed fingers trailed along the stone walls of the study as he drew near his Wicked eyes landed on the old painting hanging on the wall the one of Dracula in his prime with one swift almost lazily disrespectful motion Nosferatu slashed at the painting tearing through the canvas ripping Dracula's painted face in half the sound of the ter in fabric Echoed through the room as the portrait fell ruined to the floor I think Nosferatu continued stepping over the shredded painting his voice now dark and
triumphant that it's time this Castle passes to a new more worthy Master with a sudden violent lunge Nosferatu launched himself at Dracula claws reaching for his throat Dracula his senses sharpened by Centuries of battle Sid stepped delivering a brutal punch to nosferatu's chest the impact sent Nosferatu crashing into a towering bookshelf the Shelf toppled spilling ancient Toms onto the floor floor with a thunderous crash the air filling with dust and the scent of old parchment nosferatu's bodies Twisted grotesquely bones snapping back into Place with a sickening crack without missing a beat he charged again his
claws slicing through the air this time Dracula didn't retreat they collided in a violent Whirlwind of blows their fists and Claws tearing through the room like a storm nosferatu's claws ripped through Dracula's cloak slashing across his chest Dracula grunted in pain but immediately Retaliated delivering a crushing backhand that sent Nosferatu hurtling into a heavy oak table the table shattered its splintered remains scattering across the floor Dracula Advanced on him Fury burning in his eyes he grabbed Nosferatu by the throat slamming him against the crumbling stone wall dust and debris fell from the ceiling cracks spidering
through the walls with the force of their Clash you are nothing but a parasite Dracula growled his voice dripping with Venom Nosferatu wheezed a laugh even as Dracula's hand tightened around his throat a parasite no Dracula I am Evolution with a sudden surge of strength Nosferatu wrenched himself free his claws raking deep across Ross Dracula's arm drawing blood Nosferatu melted into the Shadows his mocking laughter dancing Through the now destroyed study the room lay in Ruins bookshelves overturned Priceless paintings slashed and centuries old artifacts reduced to rubble from the darkness nosferatu's voice slithered back back
into Dracula's ears taunting him you're losing your touch count perhaps it's time you let go Dracula snarled stalking through the wreckage his boots crunching on Shattered glass and splintered wood nosferatu's Twisted form appeared again this time behind Dracula moving with unnat natural speed his claws struck Dracula across the back and the force sent Dracula staggering into a marble statue of an old ancestor the statue toppled crashing to the floor in a burst of stone and dust Dracula turned and swung his arm with all his Strength his fist connected with nosferatu's jaw sending him kening into
the remnants of a wall mirror the shattered glass exploded around them shards glittering like falling stars in the dim moonlit room but before Dracula could press his Advantage the heavy doors of the study slammed open and inbounded the Wolfman completely oblivious to the chaos The Wolfman barreled into the room No Dracula began but it was too late the Wolfman charged straight through the debris sending what remained of a grand mahogany chair tumbling over as he collided headlong into both Dracula and Nosferatu the three of them hit the ground in a mess of fur Claws and
tattered cloaks get off me Dracula Snarled trying to untangle himself from the wolfman's flailing limbs the room already a disaster became even more of a wreck as the Wolfman knocked over a suit of armor the clang of metal filled the air as the armor collapsed on top of them pinning them all beneath the weight Nosferatu rasped a laugh from beneath the pile his bony face contorted into a mocking Grin it seems you've chosen some interesting allies with a furious shove Dracula pushed the armor aside and scrambled to his feet but the moment he stood he
felt a sharp pain tear through his side he stumbled backward realizing too late that he had backed straight into the Jag hook of a broken chandelier the iron Spike pierced through his Side and Dracula let out a low growl of pain his hands instinctively gripping the wound blood seeped through his once pristine cloak Nosferatu cackled from where he lay his eyes gleaming with Savage Delight the disgraced Count Dracula impaled by his own castle how fitting Dracula ripped himself free from The chandelier ignoring the blood trickling down his side his eyes burned with rage as he
straightened his posture refusing to show weakness before Nosferatu could make another move the Wolfman eager to prove his usefulness leapt forward with a howl his massive body collided with Nosferatu sending the vampire hurtling Through one of the tall stained glass windows the sound of shattering glass echoed through the castle as nosferatu's Twisted form tumbled into the courtyard below for a moment the fight paused cold night air rushed through the shattered window Dracula still bleeding glanced down at the Wolfman who sat proudly beside him tongue lulling out as though he had Just won a grand Victory
Dracula almost smiled as he said you're actually helping the Wolfman tilted his head oblivious to the destruction around him and barked once in response but there was no time to rest from the courtyard below nosferatu's silhouette Rose slowly from the rubble battered and blooded but very much alive Dracula stepped toward the broken window his gaze cold and determined as it locked onto nosferatu's form below but before he could make his move the Wolfman leapt through the broken window first his wild howl echoing through the night he crashed into the courtyard PA kicking up dirt as
he landed oblivious to the danger ahead Nosferatu darted forward grabbing the Wolfman by the Scruff of the Neck pathetic mut he taunted and with a Savage twist he hurled The Wolfman across the courtyard like a rag doll the wolfman's body crashed into a stone pillar with a small sad Yelp Dracula barely had time to react before Nosferatu was upon on the Wolfman again claws raised to strike but before the blow could land Dracula lunged catching nosferatu's arm midswing with what almost sounded like a begrudging Protectiveness Dracula hiss don't touch my dimwitted friend he hurled Nosferatu
backward sending him skidding into a pile of shattered Stone the impact sent shards flying but Nosferatu was on his feet almost instantly wiping the blood from his mouth The Wolfman trying to regain his footing attempted another leap Into The Fray but stopped short dazed and limping Nosferatu laughed Darkly as he Saw the confused creature stumbling then turned back toward Dracula this is the great Terror of the night defending a Mindless Beast no wonder The Mortals of this land no longer fear you you're weak but before Dracula could retort another cold commanding voice pierced the night
slicing through the tension like a blade What is going on here both vampires froze mid strike Dracula knew that voice all too well from the Shadows of the Castle's crumbling entrance a figure stepped forward her silhouette tall and commanding her mere presence radiating with subtle power Dracula 's bride had returned her gown flowing and black as the night itself trailed behind her as she moved With effortless Grace toward the battlefield her beautiful aial skin Shone like Pearl marble her dark hair cascading down her shoulders like a waterfall of Shadows but it was her eyes sharp
piercing and impossibly ancient that held everyone in place NOS veratu who had been so confident mere moments ago faltered his sneer wavered as he took in The sight of Dracula's bride so she said her voice carrying a quiet deadly Authority I leave for a few centuries and this is what I come back to my husband battling this thing her gaze flick to Nosferatu her nose upturn and is that the Wolfman Dracula straightened trying to Regain some semblance of dignity despite the fact that he was covered in Blood and Rubble beloved he began but she held
up a hand silencing him with a single look I don't want to hear it she said her tone as sharp as a dagger we will discuss this later she turned her attention to Nosferatu who was already inching backward clearly realizing that this was Not a fight he could win her eyes narrowed as she regarded him and with a flick of her wrist a wave of energy shot forth slamming into Nosferatu with such force that he was sent hurtling through the courtyard he let out a pained hiss struggling to rise but Dracula's bride was already upon
him her expression cold and unmoved I believe it's time for you to leave she said her voice soft but impossibly malicious Nosferatu his eyes wide with Terror scrambled to his feet and fled into the night disappearing into the shadows as quickly as he'd arrived Dracula watched him go the taste of bitterness still lingering in his mouth he should have been the one to finish it but with his bride here there was no Arguing with the outcome The Wolfman who had been watching the entire scene unfold with wide curious eyes let out a soft whimper as
Dracula's bride turned her Gaze on him her expression softened though she still held her Regal composure Lawrence she said sternly using his human name it's time for you to go home the wolfman's ears flattened a low Whine escaping him as he looked between Dracula and his bride clearly unsure she offered a small reassuring smile don't worry Lawrence I'll send food your way soon you've done enough here I am grateful you have been keeping this one company she motioned to her husband At The Mention Of food his tail gave a hesitant wag though he still cast
a pitiful Glance at Dracula before turning to leave slowly he slunk off into the woods his tail tucked between his legs though the the promise of a meal seemed to lift his spirits the courtyard fell silent the wind had stilled and the only sound was the faint clink of settling debris Dracula bloodied and bruised stood amid the wreckage his once Mighty Castle now reduced to ruins broken Stone shattered glass and the remnants of his former glory littered the ground his bride arms crossed and expression sharp steep toward him is this what the lord of vampires
has come to she asked her tone cutting but with a trace of familiar Exasperation Dracula wiped the blood from his lip still catching his breath it got a bit out of control a bit out of control she repeated glancing around at the destruction Dracula the castle is in Ruins look at it he winced unable to deny the truth the towering walls had crumbled ancient relics lay broken and the courtyard was a Battlefield what had once been a fortress now looked like a graveyard she studied him her sharp gaze softening ever so slightly darling you've been
chasing fear like a desperate child this isn't you you're dra the first of your kind you don't need to compete with NOS veratu or anyone Else Dracula felt a brief flicker of Pride but it quickly dissolved into shame she was right in his obsession with reclaiming his place he had lost control of everything his castle his legacy and himself she stepped closer placing a hand on his arm you've forgotten what matters she said her voice gentler now it's not fear or Power it's dignity and you've let that slip Dracula side running a hand through his
tangled hair I suppose I have she arched a brow you suppose he managed a faint reluctant chuckle all right I have a knowing smile tugged at her Lips good that's better now let's clean up this mess with a flick of her wrist the castle began to repair itself Stones Rose from the rubble slotting back into the walls shattered Windows fused together and broken Furniture mended with a slow Creek but despite her Display of Power Dracula knew there were some Things his bride wouldn't bother fixing and so there he was sifting through the scattered debris in
the courtyard picking up the pieces his bride leaned casually against a freshly restored pillar watching with thinly veiled Amusement something caught her eye two torn and Dusty books with a subtle curl of her finger she brushed the Dust Away revealing the damaged covers of Twilight and Interview with the Vampire her lips pressed into a thin line her voice laced with annoyance and chastisement Dracula do you even realize what you've done Dracula glance over from where he was stacking broken bits of stone frowning what are you talking about now she held up the books her eyes
narrowing further these were in perfect Condition do you know how hard it is to find decent copies of modern Classics like these in Transylvania Dracula scoffed dismissively waving a hand as he turned back to his work modern Classics please those books are nothing but treacherous driil his bride's eyes gleamed with amusement and Exasperation oh I see she said her tone dripping with sarcasm you're just upset you didn't think of them first Dracula huffed I could write a better vampire with one Fang tied behind my back and at least mine wouldn't Sparkle in the daylight if
anything I'm sparing you from that nonsense she stepped closer brandishing The books like damning evidence you wouldn't know good literature if it staked you and yet you Lord of vampires can't even keep a decent Library intact he straightened slightly clearly wounded by the jab we were in the middle of a fight he muttered before bending down to pick up more shattered Stone she sighed shaking her head you've been careless Vlad he opened his mouth to argue but thought better of it instead he mumbled something that could vaguely pass for an apology somewhat satisfied she dusted
off the books now finish cleaning up if I find anything else from my collection destroyed I might just spend the next Century with My sisters Dracula froze eyes wide you wouldn't try me she said with a grin handing him the stack of books as Dracula hurried to sweep away the last bits of rubble her attention shifted to something near the grand hall her expression turned to shock as she pointed toward a torn Painting wait is that my van go Dracula stiffened his eyes darting toward the mangled painting before quickly avoiding her gaze I don't think
so he muttered and in an instant he vanished inside books piled under his arm leaving his bride standing there arms crossed typical she muttered though her voice was soft and with a slow careful wave of her hand the Painting began to mend itself as the night deepened and the castle slowly knit itself back together Dracula began to feel a growing sense of calm the crumbling stones were lifted back into place shattered Windows reformed and Furniture neatly mended itself Dracula cast a glance toward his bride lounging in one of the newly restored Chairs descended from a
long line of witches her powers had always been formidable but now heightened by centuries of age age he couldn't deny how useful it was to have a wife who Could reconstruct a castle after it had been torn apart by two battling creatures of the night say what you will about the old Bloodlines Dracula muttered to himself with a faint smirk but being married to someone who Can clean up this kind of mess quite handy Aurelia flipping through her copy of Twilight glanced up with a playful arch of her brow are you admiring my talents Vlad
or just the convenience of having them around when you destroy our home I suppose a bit of both he said straightening his cloak with a dramatic flourish ignoring her eye roll He looked over at his bride again who was still absorbed in the vampires of forks washhington he let out a small sigh but couldn't help the small smile that tugged at the corners of his lips perhaps he said clearing his throat there is something to be said for the enduring power of classics even if they sparkle aelia looked up her lips curving into a mischievous
Smile There's Hope for you yet Vlad she teased though I'm still waiting for the day you admit that Edward Cullen could teach you a thing or two Dracula scoffed dramatically but as he moved closer to her chair his bravado softened he fell silent for a moment his gaze meeting hers and then quieter than before he said I missed you very much darling her teasing smile eased into Something gentler and she reached up brushing a loose strand of his hair behind his ear I missed you too she replied softly her eyes full of warmth and affection
Dracula's smirk returned a bit gentler now I'll leave the storytelling to you my love after all I'm just here to be the original she chuckled her fingers Brushing his arm as she she whispered yes and don't you forget it for a brief moment Dracula stood there feeling the weight of centuries lift if only slightly having his wife back by his side was a sharp reminder of What mattered not the fickle fear of Mortals not chasing after trends but the Timeless dignity that came from knowing exactly who he Was the world had changed yes but he
had found his place in it he was Count Dracula the original the classic and that in itself was more than enough a few days later the castle ground were buzzing with activity not from the usual Eerie silence or Supernatural presence but from something far more mundane Tourists yes tourists for the first time in centuries Castle Dracula had opened its doors to the public and the timing couldn't have been more perfect Halloween was just around the corner and The Mortals were flocking to see the infamous home of the Lord of vampires Dracula had decided to lean
into his legacy but this time he would control the Narrative Dracula paced the entrance hall his polished boots clicking on the stone floors as he prepared for the day's festivities his bride watched from a nearby chair Amusement dancing in her eyes as she flipped through a magazine titled modern vampire Aesthetics are you sure about this she asked her voice teasing as she glanced at the group of tourists Gathering outside the castle Gate Dracula sighed dramatically adjusting the ridiculous touristy Dracula costume he had been convinced somewhat reluctantly to where the cape was far too short the
fangs plastic and the entire ensemble screamed budget costume shop rather than Immortal vampire lord still he knew it was all part of the show I suppose Dracula said his tone half Resigned there's a [Music] certain novelty to this his bride laughed softly oh I'm sure it'll be delightful just remember not to scare the children Dracula arched an eyebrow the hint of his old Mischief creeping into his voice no promises The grand doors of Castle Dracula swung open and the tourists were ushered in by an enthusiastic guide who was dressed in a cloak that looked suspiciously
similar to Dracula's own albeit less Regal the group of Mortals families with children young couples and even a few Thrill Seekers gathered in the grand foyer their eyes wide with excitement as they took in the gothic Architecture the cobwebbed chandeliers and the Towering statues Dracula stood at the center of it all his arms crossed over his chest watching as The Mortals gawked at his home it was strange seeing his castle through their eyes what had once been a place of Terror and Legend was now a curiosity a spectacle to be explored and photographed one of
the children a boy No older than seven stared up at Dracula with wide eyes his tiny hand clutching a plastic bucket shaped like a pumpkin are you really Count Dracula he asked his voice a mix of awe and suspicion Dracula looked down at the boy a Ry smile tugging at the corners of his mouth he leaned in just enough to make the child feel a thrill of Excitement his voice low and smooth as he revealed his sharp gleaming fangs you tell me the boy gasped and he scampered back to his parents who were busy snapping
photos Dracula watched him go the smile on his face softening for the first time in a long while he felt something other than frustration he felt Content the day passed in a blur of spooky tours playful scares and endless questions from the tourists Dracula though initially hesitant found himself surprisingly at ease in this new role he had spent centuries building a legacy of fear and now he was embracing it in a different way The Mortals may not have feared him in the traditional Sense but they still revered him in their own strength strange modern way
as evening fell the final group of tourists trickled out of the castle their laughter and excited chatter Fading Into the Night Dracula stood by the entrance watching as the children waved goodbye their hands full of candy and souvenirs he leaned against the door frame aelia joining him at his side she was smiling her eyes twinkling with Amusement as she glanced up at him well how was it Dracula chuckled his pride slightly bruised but intact not as terrible as I expected she laughed resting her head against his shoulder I think you're starting to enjoy yourself he
glanced down at her his expression softening perhaps you're right as the Halloween season began to Wind down the castle returned to its familiar Stillness the tourists were gone the decorations packed away and the Eerie quiet of the Carpathian Mountains settled in once again Dracula stood on his balcony watching the leaves fall from the trees in a flurry of gold and red just as he was about to turn away and retire for the evening a faint sound caught his Attention it was a voice faint and distorted coming from the small radio in his study curious Dracula
stepped inside his sharp ears picking up the unmistakable voice of Van heling Dracula's eyes narrowed as he listened the broadcast was grainy but the voice was clear enough and that's why folks vampires just aren't what they used to Be take Dracula for instance the guy's a total wash up the so-called Prince of Darkness now barely casts a shadow but this is what happens when you let the softening of the culture take over the fear the power the dominance gone and we're seeing it across the board with these creatures I'm your host van heling And this
is Fangs for the Memories where we sink our teeth into the myths and expose the real truth the supernatural world doesn't want you to know join me next week when we dig into why mummies are just glorified ancient hoarders with wrapping issues good night folks and remember stay vigilant stay in formed Dracula's fangs flashed a growl Rising in his throat van helling that meddlesome old fool had been spreading rumors about him orchestrating his downfall from the Shadows Dracula's mind raced with disbelief his anger simmering to the surface washed up he's the one that's been spreading
these treacherous lies Dracula hiss this whole time van heling had been Feeding the world those rumors making him out to be irrelevant a washed up Relic hardly oh he wasn't going to let this stand no no no no he was going to track down that old husk of a man and drain every last drop from his withered veins he was going to let him rot under the moon until the Wolves came to tear apart whatever Remain Dracula's fangs glinted as he whispered Darkly I'll make him beg for daylight before I'm done I'll make him wish
his existence was his bride interrupted his tiate by slipping up beside him and planting a quick kiss on his cheek hurry up darling we're going to be late for dinner at Dr Frankenstein's she said smiling sweetly Remember we're meeting his new friend tonight Dracula groaned his Fierce expression faltering oh sweetheart not that again can't we just I don't know say we're sick must we really aelia raised an eyebrow and gave him a playful nudge yes we must now stop Sulking you'll survive one dinner Dracula side dramatically straightening his cloak fine fine but if his new
friend is another stitch together monster I'm leaving early and so friends we find ourselves at the end of tonight's Journey Through the stormy nights and shadowed Halls of Castle Dracula I hope you've enjoyed wandering The Misty Pathways of Transylvania until we meet again may your nights be thrilling and your sleep undisturbed take care and farewell for now for for for for for for for For for e for e for e e e for e for For for for for for e for e for for for e For e for for for for for for for
