I wrote something here. What was the name that you had in mind? >> That's crazy. I don't understand. >> Choose a number. You see, now you were looking at six. >> Okay. Yes. >> This is not normal. >> Is it possible that this mentalism is used to manipulate us? >> The whole concept of body language reading and non-verbal communication, There's like a different language. This element exists in the level of social media. The new generation, they don't do the news. They watch Tik Tok and they see someone who said something and they believe them because
he's credible. He's an actor. It's not a lie if you believe in it. >> Given everything that you know about the power of the mind, how do we live a more sane life? >> The answer is very simple and difficult. >> Leor Sushard, the most important master mentalist I could find to sit down and understand why is the world becoming so mental. >> Mental is the right term. mental crazy nuts. People lost it. No, people lost it. And they're having fun while losing it. >> I I hope they're having fun. I mean, some of us
are. >> They don't know. They don't know. >> We don't know. We're having fun while We're being mentally abused online. >> Correct. >> Correct. >> Anyway, thanks for coming in. Uh we're going to have some fun and also I'm going to get to ask you some question about the powers of persuasion and what is happening to all of us. But I've known you for a long time. I've been wanting to ask you this question. Were you just born this way? How did you figure out that you want to be a Mentalist? It's not like you're
like Harry Potter and you can go to school for >> it's it's kind of like um it's very similar to other things, but it's more rare. Um for example, if you want to be a good pianist, right, you need to start >> learning, you know, the notes and you still learning and it can take you a lot of years to be like an expert, right? uh and if you're an expert maybe there somebody else was better than you Because it gave more time and dedication. So it's a little bit similar and not because as a
child I was fascinated by um how people think. I used to solve Rubik's cube and after I solved it I love to oh let's solve it uh blindfolded. Oh, after it's blindfolded, oh, let's solve it with one hand behind the back, you know, like challenging myself to do those stuff because I knew the algorithm. And I discovered because I was, you know, I I always say I Wearing a Superman ring first because I love Superman and because it reminds me that, you know, when I'm on stage performing, I'm Superman. I'm like going crazy. It's like
a rock and roll mind readading show. >> But when I'm off stage, I'm like Clark. I'm like I can forget my daughter's kindergarten class. I'm like, I'm not clumsy. I forget things. And I was like this. I I never used to know how to talk with girls. I never used to to to start A conversation. And I decided to create and invent ideas of small performances and ice breakers so I can start talking with someone. >> It all comes down to getting the girl >> the girls phone numbers. jumping to age 17 18 my my
pickup line was and yeah it's a perfect pickup line I said if I guess your phone number can I call you >> and the girl was going like okay try to guess my phone number and I would and I did you know I guess the phone number And she said okay I'm going to call you so it's kind of like a nice icebreaker thing uh I'm still shy I'm still like >> think that I'm not good in conversation just just me and my uh imposter syndrome you know >> like all of us >> like all
of us so that was my mechanism to approach to people, hey, let me show you something. Let me show you like a like something about the mind. Let me show you how we think. Let me show you How I can influence you. So, I actually wrote I had like a notebook and I actually wrote ideas and concepts. And I read book about influencing and hypnotics and suggestion and body language reading and non-verbal communication and stuff that's interesting and stuff that's not interesting. But I in my mind I was like taking small notes from lots of
things and constructed my my uh abilities and my ideas at math. I was very good at Math and uh but I used to be uh I used to uh interrupting all the time because I was like thinking of different things. Uh today we call it ADHD. I think >> the most successful people in the world, the ones who have had some tags labeled on >> and I remember my math teacher said, "Listen, Leo, let's do a deal. If you stop interfering every f Friday, I'm going to give you 15 minutes in class to show something
for all of us." And this Is like age 14, 15. >> Uhhuh. >> As long as it's got to do with math, numbers, shapes, things about geometry, stuff like that. So I took the challenge and I had I had had to because I wanted to perform and I wanted to show things and you know years went by then you know go to the army an air force unit uh called the anti-aircraft missile the patriot missiles the American patriot missiles you know >> okay >> and uh back then they used to laugh at us that ah
you're not really like fighters but now we are the superstars because like iron dome this is the development this is the development >> but I used to do it all the time so in between the service I I used to flown to different play. Oh, there's there's one of the commanders is leaving. Do a show. Go perform for them. >> All all the nonofficial stuff. Can you Do this? Can you do that? And I start to perfect the craft. And uh this is what I always love to do. >> So, are you self-taught or did
do you pick up courses? >> There's no courses. Now, there are some courses, but it's kind of like I learned the hard way. I had to invent the systems and the ideas. And I found out when when you look at people the whole concept of body language reading and non-verbal communication, There's like a it's it's a different language. It's like a language. And I'm not talking about what they teach you in like how to shake your hand, how this politician shook, if it's like this, if it's like this. It's not this is like the super
basic. I'm talking about breathing and eye movements and uh the eyes how they look to the constructed memory or to the invented memory or to remembered memory which is which tells me if you're lying or not lying aspects You know of the mind of different areas of the mind that I took it not in a scientific way to a show to a performance to like a let's do a rock and roll and and get people amazed and become children again. That's what I did. I can't imagine what it was like for your wife to go
on a date with you. >> Listen, >> were you reading her mind? >> Well, I used the same pickup line, but she had she had a boyfriend back then, And it had to takes a few years until we uh we were both single and uh and we did it eventually. So, it was meant to be. >> Are your kids afraid to lie to you because they uh think that you're going to pick up? >> My kids My kids, no. I They don't think about it for them. I'm I'm a cool dad. I'm a famous mentalist
dad traveling the world doing TV shows. Um, I'm I'm wondering when will be the time that I'll be like, "Oh, stop that. Stop Embarrassing us with your mind tricks." You know, stuff like that. >> They They get it. They understand it. I'm like a little kid, you know. I go to Office Depot. I'm like, >> "Wow." Because the whole my whole show is based on office supplies and, you know, cardboards and writing. It's a low tech show. It's like against AI. It's like non AI show. >> So AI doesn't worry you. >> No, there was
a there was a director. I Don't remember the name. He said something interesting like 25 years ago. He said, "Listen, when I start to come here and perform," he said, "Whatever you do, whatever you do," because there used to be a trend of of like Israeli actors or, you know, foreign actors wanted to succeed in Hollywood and they start to learn the English and to perfect their um accent and you know that and say, "Whatever you do, don't change your English. Do your mistakes. Remember how to say the word. You are a UFO anyway. You
going to people, you read their minds, you influence, you do crazy stuff. Don't try to be an American. Don't try to do this. And since then, I mean, my English is pretty good. It's okay. But I still have my accent. People don't know where I am. They don't know where I am. They don't know what I do. And it's kind of like adds to >> Maybe part of your trickery is that we don't understand. >> Nobody understands. That's the basic That's the basic concept. >> Were you a nightmare kid in school? >> Not a nightmare.
I again, I was a fun kid because I used to do tricks to everyone. >> But it was never magic. It was never, you know, pick card. It It was always uh mind related. It was more like uh I'll give you an example. I brought this. You Know, when you go to the casino, you know, and you throw the dice. I just throw it out. So, I got number six. Or you can throw it. Let's see what number you get. And you got number four. Do it again. So, it's one to six chance. >> Yes.
>> And this is luck. I will never be able to guess luck because it's real luck. That's why I don't win the lottery every week, right? >> Only once a month. No, I'm kidding. But If you take the dye, take it, take it and hold it on your hand now. And now this is number one, right? And now you change to something else. Change it. But I want you to choose something. Choose a number. Don't use luck. Use your mind. Use like a choice. >> Yeah. Yeah. So now you chose three. So do it again.
Do it again. And now you chose four. And do it one more time. And now you chose uh six. >> Um, so I think I know what's going to be Your next choice. And how are we going to prove it? You're going to take the dye below the table so I cannot see. Then you choose the number and cover it with your other hand. Really cover it. Okay. And did you cover it? You can hold it like this so nobody can see. None of the cameras can see. But I'm looking at you. Did you choose
number three by any chance? >> How is it possible? Why didn't you guess two? >> Do it again. Do it again. Do it again. >> I would have guessed two. >> Let's try it. So you had three. And this is kind of like the math of your of your mind. So you had you chose another number. >> Yes. >> So now knowing you knew you uh I think you will go with a higher number, not a lower number. You will go with number five. That's not normal. Why? I was like one more time. Just >>
try again. Try again. Behind your back. >> There's like a mirror under. >> No. No. No. No. >> I'm a very annoying person. >> It's very annoying because I'm letting it just happen without even thinking about it. >> I know. No. So, it's kind of like nice now. I'm thinking what will you do? And I if I were you, >> I would go to four. By the way, >> that is not normal. >> Four. Yes. >> Yes. But I'm telling you, I'm just like letting it randomly fall in my hand. >> Yeah. And >> how
is this happening? So, so >> I swear there's no mirror here. >> Have you heard? No, no, no. So, you heard of the term uh in poker, you heard about tails? >> Yes. >> Tails for someone who doesn't know what tails are is when you have like a good Hand or a bad hand and you start to see the pattern and people they go like go like you know when you have a good hand. Some some people have different patterns. Someone has a good hand and we go like oh you know someone will do it
when he was bluffing. >> Okay. But the tells are like subconsciously element, you know, things subconscious things that we do that we're not aware of that tells us what's happening. >> Accused to you >> accused me because I'm I know how to read this language. Like >> but even if I'm trying to trick you and you can say you can look at my eyes and say, "Oh, she's trying to trick me. It's random." Whatever. >> It's still one one out of six probability. >> Correct. Yeah. >> No. So, I did a test before to to
see how you look. You get number six, number Three, number two. I looked at you. >> Uhhuh. >> And I know how your tail works. Do >> you just have a crazy memory? >> I have a good memory. I have a good memory. But when you look at four, >> how come you got lost on the way in here? You completely lost. >> That's That's the the Clark Ken Sugermanman syndrome I was telling you about. Okay. When I'm in the show, I give you a spoiler. I can I remember a Hundred names of the audience.
Her names are like and and when I go off, I'm like, >> you're a complete mess. and commitments. >> This is crazy. >> I have to be I have to be really focused to do this. And super important, the other side has to be willing it to work. They has to be with me in this experiment. So, >> I'll give you like a I'll give you like a paradox. Okay, let's say it's a Question I've been asked, but let's say there's like a someone who stole something and he he hid the treasure somewhere, okay? And
he's in jail. Where's the treasure? Where's the body? You know, one of those elements. I will never be able to find it unless theoretically the person in prison will say, "Okay, here's the map. I'm thinking of the location right now. Let's see if you can find it." The second he's going to say it, I will know the exact Location of the body of the treasure of whatever. But it's a paradox because this will never happen. >> Right. Because they would never want to give it away. >> Exactly. >> Uh so if you if you will
go and challenge me and go like, "Oh, okay. Uh what am I thinking right now?" you know like this I will will never be able to do it >> because I need to >> you need clues >> I need clues and I need I need to create the the game I need to create the I can try take the die >> and now it's interesting because you chose three numbers so you can choose different numbers or the same numbers whatever you want so hold it and close it and don't even yeah oh you see now
you were looking uh at six >> okay this is not normal this is not normal how how do you know >> I know >> so you can just that you can tell what my eyes look like when I'm looking at >> the eyes. It's a combination of reading you and influencing you >> because when >> But you did not influence me. It just fell on my hand. >> No, but you were I you were looking at it. You were you were choosing it. Yes. >> So I'm I'm It's kind of like >> there there's an
aspect of uh of one of The elements in the stories of Sherlock Holmes used to do. It's called pencil reading. If I'm like doing this, what what shape did I do now? Know what is this? It's a heart, right? Because you see the elbow and you see this. >> So imagine this the exact same element. >> All right. But lower, you know, more focus, more focus. So you get to a point where I can just >> write something and you and you develop the skill to >> I develop the skill. Exactly. So I can send
someone, >> you know, to to think of something and I can I can I can feel things. So it's kind of like the same thing. So, what I did with you with the dye is before you chose it. >> Yeah. >> What did I tell you? I told you you already chose three of them. Maybe you choose something else. And you did choose something else because you didn't Choose. >> I didn't even pay attention to that. It's what fell in my hand. >> In the rerun, you'll see. You'll see. >> Okay. I'll do a rerun.
Well, by the way, it's incredibly generous of you to explain this because usually mentalists don't want to give their secrets away, which I don't understand how. >> It's not secrets. It's not secrets. There's there's um there's an element of you know when you watch magicians for Example or grand illusionist you mentioned the David Copperfield before he's the greatest illusionist over time you know people you know when you see him doing this stuff >> you are amazed you have oh my god but you know in your heart >> that it's not real you know that the
woman is not cut in half physically and then brought you know there like you don't know what happened but >> but Here when I do a show it's like you two hours with the audience participation and you see those kind of feats but larger fates with the audience >> and somewhere in the back of your mind you're saying you're questioning is it real? >> No, you like you think it's really real. >> No, no, but you you you when you see magic you know agree here there's an element of belief like religious it's like >>
can he do can I do it? >> Is he wait is he reading my mind? >> Is he reading my mind? Totally. Exactly. So there's like another another element >> and this is what I love. It's more sophisticated. It's more intellectual. It tickles the brain. >> Um when we are children, all right, when we are children, we are >> we have uh a curiosity and we have wonder because we don't know nothing, right? We I >> and the experts haven't blocked us from the world of possib now now you are like you're >> Yeah. You're
like falling into like ocean of like no man's land. >> Exactly. They don't have fear from things that we know. You know, I went skiing for the first time last month for the first time. I'm like >> like this. My kids four years old, you like what's going on? It's amazing. They don't have fear. They don't think about When we grow up. >> We start to know things. We start to uh know what's good, what's bad. We think we know everything. We start to lose our curiosity and our wonder. >> And as you said, we
have the experts. We know this is wrong, this is good. >> And when I come and this is the reason why I do what I do when I perform. >> Mhm. >> Everyone in the audience, I I see them. They become children again. >> Yeah. >> I see them I see them go they're like 10 years old and like it doesn't matter where you are, how much money do you have, what's your background and for like the period of time of the show, they become children again. have the sense of, >> you know, the reason
I keep asking you about your childhood is, you know, I'm an educator. I taught, you know, virtually every grade and I'm very Critical of of the way schools are run where I think kids are given mostly binary choices. It's either this or that. And for somebody like you, it's not about a binary choice. It's not this or that. It's the world of possibilities. And I think one of the reasons why I asked you this question as we were walking in whether it's harder to trick an adult uh than a child or is it harder to
trick a child than an adult and your answer it's actually harder to Trick a child because children have not been sold this concept of two binary choices and the belief in an expert somebody who's going to tell them what is true and what is real. children are more open and as we grow up in a society where we are just put on a journey to believe these binary choices, we lose the ability to actually see even reality. Children are more susceptible to being able to see reality than adults who've been brainwashed essentially. >> Yeah. I
remember I I told you before about the beginning of the the the motion picture, the movie uh the prestige. So it starts with a magician, you know, 100 years ago and he's showing a little birth bird cage with a little bird and with the audience and he goes like poof and the and they disappear and the the entire audience goes like and then he goes watch this boom and there's and you see the bird appears like on the top of the terrace and everybody like You know like this and everybody's like clapping their hands except
one boy who says hey what happened to the first bird. So it's it's it's an amazing analogy because h not to do more spoilers but they kill the bird. Basically the magician kills the bird in every show and there's a duplicate bird >> in the movie. >> So it's the same it's the same thing. Uh the kids are not programmed to react to certain things as adults as a mentalist. By the way this is what I did with the cube. I know how you think. Kids I don't know how they think. I mean I can
do it. Kids are coming to my shoulder amazed because it's still amazing but it's harder. It's harder because they're not programmed as a adults because what I do I bypass how the mind works. >> I know how the mind works. What reaction you will give to what word like hypnosis like suggestion like u uh influencing people and there are words of Influencing there are ideas of influencing people. We see it all the time in movies in commercials. >> I'll give you an example. You know all the cosmetics commercials usually they have the because every woman
needs because you deserve the word because the because >> and this word influences us from childhood because I remember myself playing uh outside the my house and my mom is saying hey Leor come and do your Homework and I got one moment I'm playing with my friends Leor come now and do your homework why I because I said so. >> Mhm. And that because I said so it's kind of like a you know it's programmed into our mind. So we would see it >> 30 years later in a commercial because every woman it generates the
same >> spark the same thing >> that makes us react to Yes. So now it's yes I'm going to buy this cosmetic. >> Yeah. >> Yes. I'm going to use this. So because imagine the word very important word imagine you're driving in this car blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. They use it because these are words of influence >> elements that bypass the way we think and programs us to react to say yes to something. >> Wow. I'd imagine and I know the team didn't want me to go into the serious stuff, but I
I can't step like I just I Have to ask you this question >> given that what you do basically for a living and I I'm sure for a hobby as well is study human behavior. um understand which words work, which words don't work, read people. Is it possible that this mentalism is used to manipulate us? Because we started this conversation by me saying, I feel like the world is becoming crazy. We're becoming mental. >> And all jokes aside, you spend time Online and you're seeing people believe in really, really crazy things. And we don't understand
where it's coming from. No, I understand perfectly. Wake up. I'll give you an example. You know, one of the one of the things that I talk sometimes about it, I'm not like a preacher about it, but you know, the psychics, >> you know, psychics. >> Yes. >> Psychics and fortune tellers. >> Yes. >> And those like, you know, spirit people, some of them they use some of the techniques that I use. >> Sure. But they took it to a different different things. So >> it's a different story. >> Different story. It's a different storytelling. Oh,
it's like um I'll give you I'll give you an example. Uh we'll do something very very serious. I'm Going to ask you to use your imagination. >> And I want you to think in your mind. We do know each other for many years, right? We haven't talked for a lot of years, but we know each other. >> I want you to think of someone that you know that I don't know, but go back like that. There's no way I could know. >> And you're nodding. So I say that you have the name in mind right
now. >> Y >> um >> and it could be a man or a woman. >> Don't respond. But I say that you're nodding. >> So I would say it's it's a >> somebody you do not know. >> Yeah. >> Just for you it's a random name. Then >> for me it's a random name for you. It's a it's um >> Do you remember you remember the name? Yes. Don't don't say it. Just uh And did You you never told it to anyone here? And it's not like a sound. >> Nobody here knows. >> Nobody would
know. Uh, it's a guy. >> It's a guy. It's a woman. I just I'm just doing this. >> Are you thinking of the name in Hebrew or in English? >> In Hebrew. >> In Hebrew. Can you switch a little bit to English? >> Yes. Okay. >> Okay. And can you think >> So, I'm writing it in my mind in English. >> Yeah. In English. Exactly. Exactly. >> Um, this is difficult. Uh, but can you I'm just I'm just going to go with the A B C D E F G H I J K L M
N P Q S U B W X Y Z Can you think of a letter in the middle of the name, but don't say it >> in the middle of the name? >> Yes. But don't say you got it. >> Yes. >> Okay. You like it's it's a it's an A. >> Yes. >> Right. It's an A. Yeah. Yeah. >> How? >> Uh it's an A. I'm going to write an A. I'm going to write an A. >> So, what's happening here is that I wrote the A of the name, right? >> Yes. and you're
looking at it and now you're imagining the name. I don't know how many letters of the name, but you're Imagining the name here. >> Um, so there's a process now because I know you're being a little bit skeptical. You are skeptical a little bit. You're like, uh, I'll try to to manipulate back. So you maybe you think of different names. So maybe you think of a last name. I don't know, whatever. But can you tell me without telling me the name, can you tell me what's the >> what's the connection to you? Like is it
A friend? friend >> friend from from >> yeah I hope my friend doesn't mind me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me me mentioning >> okay >> the name >> and and just for for everybody's watching us right now >> this is I just want to emp this is not a Set you never told me any information okay so I'm just going to I'm just going
to look at you I'm going to write something over here >> and I'm going to do >> this and I'm going to do uh I don't know I'm doing this you are I'm Okay, I'm doing this so you don't know what I'm writing. >> I don't know what you're writing. A lot of lines. This is crazy, by the way. And I hope I I hope I'm not going to Embarrass my friend. >> I hope I'm I hope I'm not embarrassing myself. >> So, I wrote something here. What was the name uh that you had in
mind? That just the first What is the name >> to say the name? >> Yes. >> Tal. >> Ta. >> Yeah. >> Okay. I was very close. I was very close. This what I wrote. >> That's crazy. I don't understand. So, wait. Was I moving my eyeballs? >> There's a there's a there's a lot of things. Tal is the name. >> Yes. >> Wow. >> I get shiver. I see everybody's here like ah >> this is very bizarre. Okay. Okay. So, if you could do that to me with me. >> Yes. >> Are people able
to do this to people online? Can they? >> Yes. You remember you remember like the Russians? >> The Russians they would hire mentalists. >> There were stories about a guy called Wolf Messing. When I did the shows in Russia, they used to tell me, "Oh, you are like Wolf Messing." Wolf Messing do a research. He was a legend. He was like a mentalist, a minder, a psychic. No, But I did this just to show you. >> He was a legend who worked for Stalin and helped him manipulate the public to believe in in horrible things.
Which is why I brought you here because I want to know whether the the the Russians, the Chinese, the Qataris, are they using a mentalist to brainwash? >> There's one in incontinent and we're all fighting brain. No, I'm kidding. I'm kidding. >> Y'all get together in Hogwarts. >> But I did this I did this to show you that if I had a if I knew how to do it's very difficult to do it, but if I could do it and I would open a clinic >> and I instead of thinking of Tal, I would tell
you, "Oh, think of someone who passed away." And I would guess the name. You were first of all in shock, right? You were, how do you know the name? >> Yes. >> And then I would say, okay, I'm getting Something. Oh, wait. She's saying something to me. H. And then I would do this. And you would believe the second part because I managed to do the first part. >> Yes. >> And this is how the psychic work. >> Did you already know the name before you did all the like stories and whatever? Like, did you
know it as soon as I thought about it? >> No. No. No. There's a process. There's a Process. And I'm I'm getting like a little bit of like a Sherlock Holmes like >> So all the little chitchat that you do is part of your process to >> It's not a chitchat. It's a process. So, it's not that you already knew the name just when I was thinking about it or something. >> No, but but but even >> I know it's hard to explain it, but imagine I'm doing a show, okay, 90 Minutes performance >> and
I can bring someone on stage. >> Yeah. >> And do something an element with them. Doesn't matter. One of the one of my mind games while I'm looking at someone for the third row preparing them for act five. >> Yes. >> And looking and saying to him something that will make them react. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> So imagine this and then when I get to act act five, I already did something with act one, >> right? You're collecting data. >> There's like so many things that's happening in the exam. So So after the show, I'm
like I'm like a mental >> exhaustion. >> Exhaustion. Like a mental gym. >> Yeah. >> Uh but I gave you this example to tell you that things are happening in social Media, politics, television, media that some of it are meant to do it. They're not there's no I don't think there's like mentalist sitting and ah let's do this let's do that. I mean if they would they would be better by the way because we know how to influence people and they're not a lot of good mentalists. Mhm. >> But what happens it's the same principle
like when you watch something uh you know the new generation they don't they Don't they don't do the news they watch Tik Tok and they see someone who said something >> and they believe them because he's credible he's an actor he's like oh my god you know what I'm telling you this is and it's like >> yeah or he's famous or she has a lot of followers or etc. >> By the way another element of influencing is uh authority. When you go to a supermarket, you want to buy like a Cream. Oh, this is from
Dr. Sushard, right? Oh, this is probably this is probably better because this is doctor recommended. Yeah. This is like the authority. >> Yeah. >> So, when you you know, everybody talk about social media about the hooks about how do you capture you? >> Yes. >> So, it's the same thing when you see something interesting. Oh, this is from The doctor. >> Yes. >> On television, by the way, when you see a commercial, they have regulation. They say the actor is not a doctor. They have to say it >> right in the fine print. What you
mean? >> In the fine print here. It's like a it's like a >> free-for-all on social media. >> Yeah. It's like a western. It's like >> Well, and then the other thing is you Gave you gave the example of the bird, right? the two birds and and the the the binary choices that are that are basically placed in front of especially the adult that's easily manipulated where the child is less in that binary world but once they become I guess teenagers or adults the expert tells them that the bird disappeared >> and the expert tells
them that there was only one bird right and so people see the expert and he's not really an Expert >> right >> he's not really the expert >> right he's not really an expert But I think what people need to understand is often times you're going to be presented with two choices where it might be a third, a fourth or a fifth choice, but because like that's what you do. You kind of like present only the choices you want people to see. >> Here's the answer is very very simple And we all know it. When
you see something, >> the easiest most simplest thing, right? What do we do? What do we say to people? Wait, stop. Do a research. >> Search it. watch the truth. They're they're lazy. They don't want to see it. They got they got the information. What happens is is we got to a a period of time when we get information in a very short firm, 30 seconds. I know the whole story. >> Yeah, >> that's it. >> It's hard to Oh, open the book. >> Open read. Where is it from? Why did he say that? What
are the facts? The facts became uh subjective facts. >> They say my truth. What is my truth? There's no such thing as my truth. If you're eating a pizza and I tell you I tell you I love pizza with uh with pineapple, you know, and you're like gh and this is my truth about pizza. It's Fine. It's my truth. But I cannot say my truth about science. I cannot say my truth. >> There is there isn't my truth your truth. There's only the truth. Correct. If you have to qualify the word truth with my or
your or his. >> You can't you can do it. >> Then it's no longer truth. >> It became a trend to say my truth. I believe in my truth. There's no such a thing as my truth when it comes to >> facts, history. There's there's a there's a famous quote from from Seinfeld, you know, George Con. He says, "It's not a lie if you believe in it." You know, it's so true >> because and and again, if you keep repeating a lie and you repeat saying it repeatedly and you get it from here and from
here and from here, >> the ini the individual might believe it to be the true. Can you coach me a little bit on body language? So, >> Oh, yeah, definitely. >> Body language. That is a way to possibly tell if somebody's trying to manipulate you or or I'll give you a cool trick. Okay. So, it starts with a story. >> Uh you heard the term NLP, noistuistic programming. >> Okay. >> Okay. It became a trend, but the origin is a mathematician >> who uh called Richard Bendler who discovered something pretty cool. He Said he noticed
that when when there's like two people or a group, let's let's go with two people. Two people has like a good uh chemistry, relationship vibe, um they're starting to subconsciously imitate mirroring >> rapporting each other. >> Like we're sitting like this. You see, we're sitting >> I'm looking at you. >> So you like Yeah, it's like this. >> Okay. >> So he said something interesting. It said like like the rules of you know you know A plus B equals C. Okay, >> so C minus B equals A. You know, we know all of this. We
learned it. So we said, wait a second. From a math point of view, if this happened naturally between creatures, >> okay, >> you know, creatures, monkeys, dogs, people. So remember, if we let's say, let's talk like in a very generic thing. If we like each other, if like good energy, we start to imitate each other in the body language, in the breathing, in the eyes. I take a sip of coffee, you take a sip of coffee, you know, stuff like that in a date. You can see it in in date >> of people. You'll see
that like she's leaning and talking to him. She's leaning and talking to her. You'll see it happening. He says, "Wait a second. >> If I do it intentionally." >> Yeah. >> If I create the mirroring, will it cause like the good vibesity? >> Yes. >> And the discovery was Yes. And that was the essence. >> And you can see you'll see now after I told you, you will see a lot of politicians sits. You see Trump is sitting like this. The person next to him sits like this. Okay? Usually the person next to him will
try to rapport Him, right? It depends on the status that's going on over here. You'll see um uh people leaning in, leaning in. So even if a job interview, >> conversation, something you want to create affinity, >> yeah, >> you want to create like a good energy, good vibe subconsciously. >> Do a little bit of mirroring, but don't be like a monkey, you know? Don't don't don't imitate. Okay? So, it's kind of Like I I give you a story. I was I was I was uh hired to do a show for a big um uh
phone company, famous phone company. And I did a show. It was great. And they asked me, "Can you give us a tip?" You know, when you know how it is when you have like you got a bill like a 10 bucks, doesn't matter the the money. And you call them, I want my money back. Uh you liars. You you stole money from me. You know, one of those when you need a representative on the phone. >> Yeah. >> And girl on poor girl the other side said, "I'm sorry, sir. Let me check. Uh I don't
know what happened. And she's like, "Come down, sir." And when she says come down, he go, >> "Oh, no. I'm not going to come down." >> Oh, never tell a man. >> Bring the supervisor right now. So, I told them something uh very simple. I told them, "Let's use the elements of The rapport of the when he goes like this. Give me my money back. I hate you. I'm going to leave you." I told them, "I want the other girl to say, you know what? You know what? You might be right. Let me check and
do whatever I can to do it. Let me bring a supervisor." And the and the guys shuts up, >> right? >> Because okay, she understands me, >> right? >> So she actually >> create this mirroring thing and it worked >> in every situation. >> Um so mirroring means again it's not copying, you're on a >> do you use mirroring on stage? >> I use it. I use it all the time. You're in a first date, you are in a job interview, you want to get a raise, you want to talk to your partner, whatever he's
now when I say mirroring, this is this is goes to the level of breathing Of like so the guy tells you so how do you think how do you how do you feel today and you you need to go like I I feel very very good you know you need to imitate >> you know the other side very gently very very don't be again don't be a monkey don't do the same thing Yeah. >> But when he sips his coffee or her coffee, you respond by sipping the coffee and respond. So it's kind of So
that's creat. It's almost like a dance. >> It's a dance. >> Yeah. >> But now after I told you this and everybody's watching us right now, when you go in the restaurant, look, look for those people dating people and you'll see people are smiling, having fun, you know, you'll see they're imitating each other subconsciously. So this is like the essence of of body language reading and influencing when you are in position to do this. Okay, that's why we're Sitting like this. Now I cannot see your legs and you cannot see my legs. So it doesn't
matter. But I would never sit like this because this would be like that's why I'm always like this. >> Is it because I'm sitting like this? >> Of course. >> So if I sat like this, would you be sitting? >> I would sit like this and talk to you like this. Yeah. But again, let's say let's do a little test. Let's do like This. And you were changing. So change the way I'm sitting. Yeah. So I'm not doing it >> immediately. I will look at you, keep answering your question and then say and Marissa about
the what you asked me before about this. It will be very natural but it will turn to this. >> What do you think it means if I then moved back away from you? Let's say you did like cuz on a date or in a job interview somebody might change Positions and actually retreat. >> But this is some this is a different concept. This is not about mirroring. This is about how you affected them. >> Right? If you went to more to their personal space, if you did something offensive or defensive. So this is how >>
you can see what they're doing. This is like another element of body language reading. Yeah. >> Or influencing to see how people are, >> right? >> This element exists in in in in the level of countries, >> in the level of social media. explain how >> because because it's the hooks, you know, it's the hooks that causes us to uh to watch the video. When you see a song competition in one of the channels, it's not like you're, oh, he has a better voice. It's like this. It's the story. >> Yes. >> I like her,
I don't like her. >> Yes. >> You know, it's kind of it's it's like this. um the presidency, United States, uh Europe, Israel, UK, >> nobody cares about, how do you call the presentation of the party when you want to be in power? You >> like the platform, the party platform. >> The platform, nobody nobody reads the party platform. >> This is true. >> I like him or I don't like him. That's it. This is true. >> We we we we skip everything >> and I like him. I don't like him. It's very simple. Everything
became very very simple. I like him, I don't. It's a real It's a big reality show. >> Do you think President Trump understood that and used it? >> Definitely. I think he I think he's doing it u naturally. I don't think he's thinking about it. I think he's a really Genuine person who just talk whatever he wants. It doesn't matter what you He doesn't think what you think. He thinks what he thinks. >> We'll deal with it later. Let me tell you first then we'll deal with it later. >> But his ability to simplify everything
has been one of the reasons why he's more trusted or more listened to. I think I think it's a very good technique because simplicity you know you you Always say to you know kiss K I SS keep it simple stupid >> okay >> I always say to you know to my assistants to people that I work with keep it simple don't be >> don't go like this go tell me the point go to the go to the ending point because I'm bored and people are getting bored fast now things going on so he kept it
simple and that was genius but I don't I don't think he's thinking I will keep It's simple to it's natural for him. >> It's very natural for him. I think he used to do it in business. I think do it like let's cut to the chase. What do you want? What do I want? >> You mentioned social media and countries. So, you know, I was going to ask you first the some of the stuff you describe is one-on-one, right? Like I move forward, you move backwards, etc. We're able to connect. You're talking about breathing. You
can only hear my Breathing if you're next to me. But you're on stage with 50,000 people in front of you. You're not going to hear them breathe, right? So, how do you use that technique? It's more complicated. It's more complicated. It's It's not just this. It's when you see me bringing people on stage, you'll see me uh you'll see me now doing a little bit of rapport, mirroring, uh imitating them a little bit, standing like them, explain to them how to stand and and doing this. This is to create the good the good vibes between
the good energy >> and also preparing them for what I'm going to do for the next act. >> I'll give you another example of influencing. Let's say that um you call me and you say, "Le, listen. I was at work. I didn't have time to do this paperwork. Please, please, please help me. Please, please, I need to give it tomorrow. You were my coworker. Okay. Please help me." And I go, "Sure." And I'm working with you with you and I'm doing the work with you and I do the copies and I'm helping you and I
give it to you first thing in the morning. And you tell me, Leor, you saved my life. Thank you so much. What do I need to tell you now? What what would you what would you do? So if I tell you, listen, thank you so much. You save my life. Thank you for helping me. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. What what would You what do you say? What do you say? >> Uh you're welcome. >> You're welcome. What else? Um ah it was nothing or you can say you can say
no problem. See so all of those things are mistakes >> because you're losing a leverage of influencing. >> So I should be like oh it happens to be that there's something I want from you. >> No you use this line. You say, "No problem. >> You'll get me next time." >> No, no, no. No problem. I'm sure you would do the same for me. >> Uhhuh. >> And if I tell you, "No problem. I'm sure you would do the same for me." This, >> you know, stucks in your neurons. And I swear to you, if
I go to you in three years, Maurice, I need help. >> What do you need? Let me help you. >> And this I love this influencing concept because it it's also between uh individuals, groups and countries. And I love this example. >> I I live in Tel Aviv. >> I love Israel. You know, uh Turkey, you know that the relationship with Turkey is always like this. Always always up and down, up and down, up and down. >> And I remember I was born in Hifa and I Remember that Turkey, I don't know the exact year,
but I remember there was a big earthquake. M >> lots of lots of craziness and I remember Israel was like with the first one who sends >> Yeah. you know uh 669 you know the special units the aid the the planes and to help them >> doesn't matter about relationship doesn't matter the relationship >> and then I remember that we had like a a low in the relationship we had like you know the prime ministers and and we started to talk bad about each other and and it's been a few years and there was a
big fire in Hifa in the forest huge fire and the relationship was had. >> But the Turks were the first one who got the super tunkers with the water. >> And that was nothing to do with politics, nothing to do that the prime minister, the president said something Bad about our prime minister. They was like and I was like >> humanity. >> Yeah. But that was that was like I was looking at it. I look from a mental point of view. I was going like this is like this is influencing. We were the first one
who offered the help. We always be the first one. We know it without knowing it. So this is the tip. Try to offer help. Offer help first. >> Yeah. >> And use this line. It's okay. I'm sure you will do the same for me. >> Yeah. It's biblical, right? It's uh uh a good deed brings a good deed. A negative deed brings a negative deed. >> I agree. Right. >> I agree. I agree. >> Do uh do the trick on me again. you showed this to me before, which is also amazing because I just think
um you know I I talk about discernment on the show all the time and being able to discern >> uh and oftenimes there are options, choices placed in front of us and it's hard to know the truth and this is a classic discernment trick. >> This is something that I love. I used to play with when I was very young. These are coffee colors from the coffee place. And I love that because if I show it to you, you see the bottom one is a little bit little bit um uh bigger than the the Top
one, right? >> But the interesting thing is that if I change them, all of a sudden this one looks a little bit bigger. You see, like this one, if I change it again, this one looks a little bit It's kind of weird. >> It's unbelievable. >> It's un But if you put it back one after another, it's exactly the same size because it's the same coffee color. Uh this is called the gastro illusion. Uh and you can do it yourself and it's Based on the shortcuts we have in our mind and the the way it
it's like a little um uh how do you call it? Uh >> it's like rounded off a little bit. >> Rounded like a bow a little bit like something like that. >> Concave uph. >> Yes. And it creates the illusion that this one is bigger than the other. It's not. It's just just look at it. They used to do like a trick when I go like oh this is bigger. Let me cut here. Then I would cut this this piece and then this would be big. Oh, wait. Let me cut another one. >> Yeah. >>
And let me cut another one. So this like I used to do. But this is an optical illusion. But there was another add-on to this optical illusion. It was not just the illusion. It was >> me saying to you, notice that the the bottom was a little bit uh a little bit bigger and I was nodding my head and I Was looking straight to your eyes. >> Yes. >> I used the illusion and I use authority. I'm yoursard. If I say you something probably right. >> Yeah. >> Uh it's probably correct. And you were nodding
with me. So it registered in your brain as a fact. >> How do you >> It's the same. Let's go back to what we said. It's the same this expert in Tik Tok >> saying something. >> Well, that's exactly >> which is which is not a fact, but he's very attractive and he's very telling the truth. His truth. >> Yes. Well, this is exactly what I was going to ask you. Conspiracy theories. I mean, this is literally what you just showed me makes me think about conspiracy theories. If you have somebody who is a self-proclaimed
expert Who is nodding on and saying, "Look at this and look at that. Does it can't you just see it?" And people are like, "Wow, >> the earth is flat. Didn't you know the earth is flat?" >> Yes. So, it just how do conspiracies have a friend like this? I have a friend, a real friend that thinks the earth is flat. And I love to make fun of him. And I noticed something. If you want to do it, there's an experiment. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Go to the beach, watch the sunset, and lay lay on
your back. Okay. On your back watching the sunset until And you're lying on the beach, right? As the second you see the sun disappearing, quickly stand up. >> You'll see it again. >> Which means >> you didn't see it from here and you're standing up. >> Now you see it again because there's a curve over there somewhere. >> And I showed it to them and said, "No, it's because They always will think of the facts will never matter. >> Why? Why did the facts not matter to conspiracy theories? >> Because it doesn't matter for them
because they're so into their belief. >> Is there an addiction to conspiracy? Is there some dopamine release that you get? >> Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. It's a dopam Dopamine release and it's also like a social thing. It's something about I don't know >> being like being part of a club that knows something that nobody understands. >> Yes. >> Yes. >> Yes. >> And there is really no accountability when you just don't pay attention to certain other facts. It's like the mind wants to fall into these conspiracy Theories. >> I agree. >> What is it about
the mind that needs that? >> I think it tickles our brain. I think it's exciting. It's also exciting for them to be different from other people. uh different from this. >> Is it a little like why it's so exciting and enthralling to watch a mentalist show? Like somewhere inside of us, we know that it's very unlikely, but there Is a an endorphin. >> It's a dark line. It's a dark It's the dark line between reality and you know and lie. >> Yeah. >> It's like this then you say it's true. It's not true. You know,
I did an experiment once. I did a small show for like a you know 30 people. At the beginning of the show, I said, it was a real social experiment. I said, "Listen, you're going to see some an hour now of Like mind tricks. I'm going to lie to you the entire show. Nothing is real. It's all bullshit." You know, it's like this. I open the show. I say, "It's a real my my real show is open like that. I say, "Hi, I'm the blah blah blah." I use three techniques: mind reading, real mind reading,
real my influencing, and >> And everybody's laughing. And I start the show. And I said to said to listen, everything is going to be It's going to be like the tricks and magic And whatever. And in the end of that hour, people came to me. Nah, you're wrong. No, it's real. >> It's real. It's No, no, no. >> They're arguing with you. >> No. No. >> Do you think Do you think some people are more susceptible? >> Oh, definitely. >> Can you pick on them in a crowd? >> Of course, but it depends on It
depends on the experiment. It depends on the Experiment I do. I mean, I'm doing a big show. There's like 20 acts, different acts, different aspects. There's aspects about uh connecting people, aspects about math, stuff about um uh touch and smell and visualization and prediction and lots of stuff. >> Yeah. >> And as I told you, I can be with you on stage >> and do something while I'm setting up for act five or six for some I think I'll choose them. I think there's like I I go with the audience >> looking at the crowd
while you're working with >> some sometimes I'm wrong you know sometimes but that's as a performer will get me a uh a different reaction or not the reaction I wanted or it will not work but for that I have like a like an anagram you know that I can go >> this way or this way or this way um I can I can teach you know what let me Teach you something you want you want me to teach you something let me show you something I think it's it's connected to some to the stuff we
talked about. Let's put some objects here. I'm going to write I'm Don't look what I'm right. Okay. I'm going to write. So, I don't want you to see. So, Marissa with double S, right? >> Yeah. >> Okay. I write a message for you. I don't know if I wrote it. Okay, maybe I misspelled it. But I'm going to put some objects here. So, we don't have a lot. We have this. Let's do the pen. Let's do this. Let's do this. And let's do this. So, we have the book. We have one, two, three, four. Let's
do one more. What do we have? Uh, let's do Okay. So, you see all the those objects. Okay. Uh, can you mix them? It's a test about choices. Mix mix. Yeah. Change the location so everything goes right. Very cool. And split them into two piles. So like this. No, let's do a three and three. Yes. >> All right. And now this is we're going to start with the the first choice. So if you would imagine to push one of the groups towards me, what would it be? Push one. This one. Wait. This one. Okay. Okay.
So you can push it. You can Push it. And we keep it like this. With your right hand, pick one of them. Doesn't matter. >> With my right hand. >> Yeah. Pick one of them. And with your left another one. Doesn't matter. >> Yeah. So, we did a game of elimination. We did a game of elimination. A fair game. You could have selected this one or you could you could get the other two. And this is the the chocolate. Got it's a nice thing. And you don't even Know why you chose it because it was
just this. I wrote Marissa will choose the chocolate. >> Okay. This is really crazy. How is it even possible? I totally randomly grab these things. >> So, no, I >> I tell you, I randomly >> And I am going to teach you. I'm going to teach you how it's done. You ready? >> Okay. >> All right. So, this is the game. This is The game. Let's do this. Let's put the objects. So, you think there's one story? There's actually multiple stories. Let's do the game again. This time, we'll do it a little faster. Okay. So,
we have those objects. This doesn't matter. So, you mix it up. You tell I'm telling you I did not pick the chocolate in advance. I just need >> try try not to pick the chocolate. Okay. Okay. Okay. So >> I have my prediction here. >> So now I am picking in advance cuz I didn't even know you were going to have me pick something. >> You'll see first point. This is very important point. You don't know what's about to happen. >> Correct. >> So here's what So make the two piles. >> Three and three. >>
Okay. >> You want to change or something? Change. You can do. >> Sure. I can change. Okay. So you do you can do whatever you want. >> Okay. Now, so remember remember what I told you. Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, this is about choices, right? >> Okay. I really tried to confuse you now. >> This is about choices, right? So, imagine you would put you would push one of the piles towards me. Which one would you do? Doesn't matter which one. >> Okay. >> Wait. This one? >> Yes. >> Okay. It's okay. And Okay.
This is what you you want. Okay. >> Yes. >> With your right hand, pick up one of them. Doesn't matter. >> This one? >> Yes. >> What did you choose? >> I ch >> So, you didn't choose the dice and you didn't choose the marker. You chose the chocolate. Yes. >> Look what I wrote here. Marissa will choose the chocolate. >> I gonna You made me somehow pick this chocolate, but I don't know how you did that. >> We'll do it again. Let's do it again. >> How are you making me always pick the chocolate?
>> That was a different story. Once again, Look, look, look. Let's do it again. You You'll see. >> I'm sure one of the 1 million people watching this, they're like, "She is so dumb. How is she not picking it up?" >> No, no, no, no. It It worked on everyone again. Let's do this and this. >> Okay. Now, watch this. Now, now you will see what's happening. So, we have the two piles, right? >> Yes. >> Okay, Marissa. It's a It's a game of Choices. >> You had to push one of them towards me. Which
one would you push? This one or this one? >> What do you want to push? >> Okay. Is there something you're doing with your hands? >> No. No. No. Make a choice. Do it. Which one do you want to push? >> Wait. Those ones. Push. Push. Push. Push. Push. More. More. More. More. M more more. That's it. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Now. >> Ah. Okay. I got it. It's irrelevant which one I pushed. >> Yes. Because listen. Wait. Let me stop you. Yes. You don't know what is the story. >> Wait, I don't know
what's next. >> You don't know what's next. You don't know if I'm Now notice I never use the word let's eliminate or let's keep. >> Right. Right. Because you don't like I push but it doesn't matter. I could have pushed this. It doesn't matter. You focus on the other one. >> What happens is this. This I got it in front of a million people. >> At this position at this position we are three and three and I'm aiming for the chocolate. Right. >> Yes. >> If if notice what I tell you. We're doing experiment imagination.
I want you Imagine you push one of the one of the piles. Which one do you push? If you went to here, do this. Do this for a second. I I stop you. I go like this immediately. Those ones. Those. No, I don't say good. I say those ones. And you nod. >> And then I say okay. >> Yes. >> I don't say let's eliminate. I say okay. >> Okay. >> If you go >> here, I don't touch you. I go those ones. Keep pushing. Keep pushing. Keep pushing. And in your mind, >> Yes. >>
it tells you that I kept this one. >> Yes. >> Now, second part. Look what I do. There's like there's like three stories here or four stories here. >> With your right hand, choose one. Now, the second I see you wait. The second I see you go here, I immediately add And With your left hand, choose another one. >> And which one's your left hand? >> No. Look, look. What do you What do you choose? >> Those two. What? Give me Give me Okay. You sure? >> Yes. >> Look. You sure? And you're nodding. >>
Yes. >> And here we are. Same result. Now watch this second attempt. If I go with your right hand, choose one. If you choose The chocolate, it's like >> done. >> Done. But it's important to say this one. And you're nodding. Are you sure? So, you didn't want this. You didn't want you wanted the chocolate. Boom. But here's the best part. >> Yes. >> Let's try one of the chocolate, one of the Okay. With your right hand, choose one of the objects with your right hand. And with your left hand, another one. No. No. Let's
say that you're choosing the chocolate. So, so you're holding like this. >> So, those two and you're nodding. And I say, "Listen, final choice. This is super important, Marissa. Yes. >> Super. >> If you had to give me one of them, what would you do? What would you give me? >> The chocolate. So, this is the one you want. >> Or or or or Okay. If you had to give me one of them. >> I totally got it. >> Give me one of them. What? Whatever you want. Just give this one. >> Yes. >> So,
you're keeping the chocolate? >> Yes. >> Boom. >> It's so good. It's so good. >> So, this is a little bit of it. >> This is a manipulation that you can do. >> It looks so easy. It's not easy. It's Not easy guys at home. You have to practice to practice practice practice. >> My people can they can do this. They got this >> practice because it's you don't know the story. Now this little mind trick leads to countries and social media and these you don't know what's happening. You don't know what's going on in
the back of their head. They're so I'm so assertive about this because in your mind you say this is the trick. This is The story. Whatever I choose he chooses. >> Yes. And it's easy to do it and this is how it works. >> So I invent the story a different story to every choice that you make. Same in my show. Yes. >> When I choose someone who is not very good for the act or maybe I messed up or something. I mean I'm I'm a normal person. >> It's again it's those binary choices that
are placed in front of us. This is True. This is true. This is true. But the way you weave the story together is a complete illusion. >> It's a different truth >> which is not a truth. It's not a truth >> for them. It's the truth. >> Wow. >> That's why that's why I go back to buy my truth. I hate this. There's no such a thing as my truth. There's a truth. >> Yes. >> You know how it is when you when you go To court and you go, not you and me. I never
been there. But when you see it and they look at the facts, they look at this. He said this, he said that. You know how it is when a cop stops you and you go to court and you show a little little thing. You show like He was not wearing um his name tag. >> Yeah. Yeah, he was not, you know, one of those little thing. It's fact. Technical thing. Boom. It's this is the truth. This is >> what matters because in court you cannot say maybe or not. Yeah. Like has to be cold. >>
You would hope. You know, >> I know. I know. >> Yes. >> It's the same here. It's the same. >> Wow. Amazing. >> So, same thing here. This is like the test. You write your prediction and you aim the story to the prediction and you try to be very very casual about it. Let's do it with four elements. So, we've got four elements here. Yeah. >> Uh, take one in your right hand, whatever you want. I'm very casual. >> So, now I have to imagine which one have you decided that we should end with. >>
No, no, I'm going with the chocolate. So, try again. Just take one with your right hand. Doesn't matter. And one with your left hand. It doesn't matter. So, >> those two. Yeah. And look what I do. I do this. You immediately give me, right? I don't I don't tell you give me to me. I just do this. Those two. Cool. Uh, two or left. Hold them. Hold them. One in each hand. And just give me one of them. Doesn't matter because this is your final choice. It's very important choice. Look what I do. I talk
while you're doing this. I >> You're making me think that I'm making my own decision. >> This is not your decision. But look what I do. I I keep talking. Yes. >> And I'm noticing what you're doing. So, uh this is a very important choice, Marissa. Whatever you choose. >> Yes. >> I don't say whatever you choose from those two. I never chase I never talk about elimination or keeping or not keeping. I just say whatever you choose, it's going to be your choice and it's going to be it's going to be you're going to
be you're going to see what happens. So, yeah, >> just give me one of them. This is your choice. This is this is the one. >> Yeah. >> So you now this is the first time I say so this is the one you chose at the end. >> Yes. >> And then I can drop it and casually say we did a fair game of elimination. Everything was fair. You could have selected this one or this one which is true. It's it's a lie. >> Yes. >> But you're nodding because it sounds very Yes. >> It
sounds true. >> Yes. >> And you were left with it. >> But it's crazy. I mean if you apply that to social media education >> some people apply it some people apply it without knowing it's a trick they're just thinking that this is >> given everything that you know about the power of of the mind the ability to Manipulate I mean you don't even need brainwashing you can do brainwashing >> I do a live brainwashing in my show >> it's through manipulation essentially given everything >> we I think I think we are we are being
manipulated all the time all the time all day long. Uh from news to because news I think that news news stopped being truth. >> Yeah. >> It became their truth. >> Yeah. Or what they wanted us to hear. >> It's kind of like first of all you say something and then you deal with the consequences. >> Yes. >> So you say something. >> Yeah. You make a claim. >> You make a claim. >> It doesn't matter. I I think that 10 years 20 years ago people will would destroy you on a bad claim. Now, if
you make a bad claim And you need to apologize because you made a mistake, okay, you you just we a it doesn't matter anymore, >> right? Well, some people apologize and the apology doesn't matter. There's no remorse. They show no remorse. They just keep doing it again. And some people don't apologize, but people do get away with constant making. I don't want to get into like brands and stuff, but but you know how certain media they say something and it's not true and they we Catch the lie and they apologize in a little little box.
A few doesn't matter. The impact was made. >> Given everything that you know about the power of the mind, the manipulation out there, social media, how do we live a more sane life? >> The answer is very simple and difficult. I remember us when we were children, we used to have encyclopedia to check the facts. >> Yeah. >> We used to see things, the dictionary to to watch. Now when you search something, you get different kinds of facts. >> Yeah. >> Um >> it's like do your own research and you don't know where you fall.
>> Exactly. >> What research? Who is research? What do you read? >> Who's the source? Who's the source of the research? Yes. But luckily there's history and there's math and there's physics and there's I'm sorry this is uh there are physics. >> Yeah. >> Um >> I would say that people who study math seem to be more discerning and grounded in reality >> because they know there are rules for things. You know, when when I went with my wife to uh the big museum in Cairo and we saw A stone 3,500 years ago and like
reading like ancient Egyptian and there's like a little sign and they said this is Ramses the second who conquered the whole LA and it says sons of Israel and it's 3,500 years ago and it says there >> this is this is a truth. This is h this is it. It happened >> right. >> It was there. You know I I go to my I go like I have this visual of >> Ramses I conquering the whole world and meeting people sons of Israel. They called them sons of Israel. >> How can you >> the enemies
of Israel wrote about sons of Israel which yes they destroyed them. They wanted to they did it. Well they say every generation you know >> right? There's a joke I say about every Jewish holiday, you know. So, this is the concept. They try to destroy us. We survive. Let's eat. >> That's the That's the essence of every Jewish holiday, right? >> Yes. >> And and the legends are true. They people try to destroy us in every generation and we survive. >> Yeah. >> Um then we eat. But but it's true. It's u just check the
facts. >> Don't check it on Tik Tok. check the the science and check the math and check the History and check check the reality of things. Even if if you're listening to us right now, if you're a young man or a woman, just check the facts. Um, don't check what this expert said. If if you see someone talking about something, check who is this guy, who where is he from? Do your do your little research, especially when it's something that might affect other people, something important, something about You know, >> yeah, especially when it creates
prejudice or judgment, etc., right? It's uh it's that's especially really hard. A lot of the mental manipulation that we're seeing is used to really divide us and and and lead to um the breakdown of of our societies. >> Yeah. >> Yes. >> I think so. Yeah. >> Well, Leor, always fun and uh thanks for Giving your secrets so generously. >> By the way, something very important. Um, when I guessed tal. >> Yes. I still don't know how you did that. >> That was about, you know, 40 minutes ago. Um, you know, several tals. >> I
do. >> I don't know. Tal, but you were thinking about specific Tal. You were thinking about Talke. >> Okay. This is just This is so crazy. By the way, I hope she's watching this because I haven't seen her in a very long time. >> Talcedar, this is the name. >> Yes. >> Talcedar, if you're watching right now, she's going to freak out. >> We are thinking about you. Me and Marissa are talking about you. Um, and I hope you are well and healthy. >> Oh my. >> You know, I'll finish by saying what I always
say. >> I don't understand how he did this. >> No, before the cut, before the cut, I I say to people, I think this is the essence. I think checking the truth, fact check and be positive and optimistic. I say to people always at the end of my shows, always think positive thoughts. Do you know why? >> Because you can never know who might be reading them. >> That's true. >> So, you know, joy is the armor of God. Really? >> I agree. If there is a devil and I believe many people believe in it,
the devil would want us to feel despair and anger and sadness and fear. And for those of us who believe in God, we can believe that our creator wants us to feel despair. And so I think that if you believe in God, you remember that God wants us to experience happiness and Joy. >> I agree. >> Um and so I choose happiness and joy over despair. >> I agree. >> All right. Cheers to that. Thank you. >> Cheers to that.
