Chak G Masters you have a choice of two different levels that you can live your life it has absolutely nothing to do with what's going on outside has nothing to do whether you get married or don't has nothing to do whether you have Finance good or not has nothing to do with it it has to do with how you live inside Yourself so your starting position always is that you do live inside yourself that's where you live you're inside you see your thoughts you feel your emotions and you look out into the outside world it's
not complicated that is always the starting position you should reenter yourself hundreds of times a day to realize I'm in here looking out there's a world out there I'm in here and there's thoughts being created I notice them I'm in here and There's a heart that's emoting emotions that's called centering yourself coming back to truth it's never not the truth there's not a single thought that goes on in your mind that is any different than any other thought that goes on in your mind it's a thought there's not a single emotion that comes up from
your heart that is any different than any other emotion it's an emotion just like if there's you go to one of the Springs down deep under the water there's water Bubbling up and then it bubbles up to the top it's just water it doesn't matter which bubble it is it doesn't matter how strong it is or how big it is or anything it's just all the same isn't it just water coming out of that hole in the ground and it bubbles up and pops up at the top big deal that's what your emotions are so
these things that come out of your heart and they pop up in your face and your thoughts are these things that get created inside your mind And they talk to you and they Yak at you and they do different things and then they go away and the world unfolds and you see it so your centering position is very very simple don't make it be complicated I mean you should meditate and do things but I like to not talk about that I like to talk about the basics of real spirituality and real personal growth which is
I'm in here and there are thoughts in here with me there are emotions in here with me and there's A world unfolding in front of me that is your starting position it happens to also be your ending position why you can't do it fall down to you know it's the truth you are in there you do notice your thoughts you do notice your emotions you notice that there's a world unfolding in front of you right or wrong well I don't understand why can't I do that I am doing that you can't do it because you're
too interested you're too Interested in what the thoughts have to say so that when they say it you get involved in them instead of letting them come and go letting them have their space to do what they need to do you're way too involved in your emotions I mean anything that comes up from there is like God you better do something about it it feels love you better do something about it it feels disdain you better do something about it it feels jealous you better do something about it feels Insecure better do something about it
it feels Pride you better do something about it I don't care what you do about it if you feel pride and I want more of it and I got to keep it or you feel Pride you feel ashamed I don't care the point is you can't handle the emotion right if it shows up you're a dead duck it's just you got to start being active and figure out what to do and you become weird you can't handle an emotion popping out of your heart you can't sit There and be real what does it mean be
real I am in here and an emotion just popped out of my heart that's what be real is I am in here and a person walked by I am in here and a white line on the road passed by when I was driving I passed by a white line some of them are solid some of them are Dash oh no yeah and some of them aren't painted very well if you haven't noticed it's just something that's passing into your Consciousness that's all form is that's All an emotion is that's all a thought is but you
can't do that now that's spirituality that is spirituality what is why can't you do that why can't you be real why can't you just be real I'm in here and these things are happening because you're way too interested and what the feeling is and what the thought is or what the form is form is so easy you all think you have to renounce you're caught up in form you're not Caught up in form none of you are caught up in form there's no renunciation to do the truth is you have no problem with form none
of you you think you do you think you're attached to somebody you think you want something you think you're afraid of something you're not you are attached to the emotion and the thought that pops up inside of you because of the form If somebody walks by that you're attracted to you don't care about that Person I'm going to be bad tonight you don't care about that person you care that that person walked by and all these emotions and thoughts of Attraction and need and stuff popped up inside and it is because those things pop them
inside which you care a lot about what goes on inside of you that you want the person outside if that same exact person 10 minutes later walked by and it didn't pop up inside who cares it's the same as the white line on the road it makes no Difference so it is not the form itself that any of you have any attachment or aversion to it is the fact that form can cause your thoughts and emotions to change can't it you see a Ferrari drive by and either there's this feeling of oh my God it's
beautiful I want one of those or that's disgusting what a waste of money it doesn't matter which one comes up you can't handle it right you can't handle that that came up and because you can't handle that came up All of a sudden that object outside has something to do with you when in truth it has nothing to do with you does it nothing outside has anything to do with you you live in there don't you hi you live in there the things outside are out here you live in here it is because the things
outside cause your emotions and your thoughts to do something that's one why you care about them and also determines how you interact with them if it makes you feel good you want them you Like them if it makes you feel bad I'm not interested wake up you are in here there are thoughts and emotions that are in here and you have trouble with those all of them you have trouble if you have a nice thought you want something you normally you get weird if you have a not nice thought you don't want you're afraid of
it you get weird as what boils down to we can't handle our thoughts we can't handle our emotions can we you want to know how bad we can't handle our Thoughts and emotions we can't handle our thoughts and emotions so much that we try to manipulate the world outside of us so it stimulates the thoughts and emotions that we're okay with and doesn't stimulate the thoughts and emotions that we're not okay with do you or do you not do that here you're going to meet somebody you're trying to decide what to wear why you can't
handle the thought if you go to meet this person somebody says oh my God you wore a Little polka dot things I got hates polka dots that's it for your day it's over you literally have to put clothes on you have to wear your hair a certain way you have to drive a certain car you have to do every single thing because something might generate a thought or emotion that you're not comfortable with and then you're weird and then we all weird it out don't be afraid of it let's be honest that is what's going
on and if you're not careful I said there's two Ways you can live your life if you are not careful you will spend your life attempting to control the world unfolding in front of you so that it doesn't cause trouble inside of you and so that sometimes it makes nice inside of you and at this point in my talk I usually say what chance do you have in succeeding in that at least take on a chore you could win if you decide to do weightlifting don't try to pick up 50,000 and then get discouraged you
have just said to me that you can't handle your thoughts and your emotions so what you're going to do is make him behave a certain way and her sit as close or further away the way you want it and everybody be exactly the way you want them to be so that the emotions that pop up inside of you are comfortable to you and not uncomfortable to you what is the probability you will succeed in that how about Zero oh mean I haven't been doing bad no you've been doing the same as everybody else there is
zero possibility that you will control the world in front of you to make it be the the way you think it needs to be so that your thoughts and emotions pop up the way you think you like them because you're wrong A lot of times aren't you you're wrong is to what will make them pop up and give some you surp surprise you sometimes don't they right that which you thought would be The worst thing in the whole world turns out to be the best good luck and even if you were right this is very
important even if you were right in deciding what your thoughts and emotions are going to be like and what has to happen outside for them to be nice and not be not nice the probability of you succeeding is zero now why would it be zero why would it be zero come on I'm powerful person I have strong will I'm committed why would it be Zero we going talk real there's a moment in front of you right now there's always a moment in front of you isn't it does it change every single moment it changes doesn't
it not a single atom in creation that stays in the same place ever right not a single electron Neutron proton anything all moving your scenery changes constantly doesn't it okay can I just stop and say what's the probability that you're going to control all of it to be the way you need it to Be all the time that's the funniest thing I ever heard of a chance in the world you go to a restaurant and you want it to be a certain way you want the meal of the day to be a certain way and
people sitting as far away or close in the type of music and every single thing you got a thing going about how it needs to be for you to be okay and if it's not that way how you get you walk into a restaurant somebody smoking i l to have smoking a little smoking what that's it Your dinner's over forget the whole thing not playing exactly the music that you know it's just not what you're in the mood for forget what what you know it's an Italian restaurant playing Italian background music I'm just not in
the mood for it man it's like anything that goes on you're not okay with it well what is the probability you're going to manipulate and control that restaurant which you just walked into I I as I do this to myself all the time Before I walk in the door of that restaurant I ask myself did it exist before I got there it's pretty funny there were other people a believe it or not it not just there for me you know it existed before I got there are there reasons it has been the way it is
throughout time and space or is it just like kind of random pops up somewhere a different owner bought it somebody's sick right there are reasons things are the way they are Now I'm about to walk in there what is the probabilities going to be the way I want zero this Rel you of all tension there is zero probability that the way you decided it needed to be for your thoughts and emotions to be nice and not be not nice is going to be the way it is because has nothing to do with your thoughts and
emotions they're yours where do they come from they come from your past your past experiences you got Programmed by all your past experiences that restaurant does not come from your past experiences it has nothing to do with your past experiences so it's science I'm talking to you scientific people some people say that spirituality is not logical oh yes it is it's very logical and very rational that it is absurd to think that when you walk in that restaurant it's going to match the last time you ate out or whatever the heck it is your preconceived
notion of What you want it to be please don't think about what you want the dinner to be like why it's not going to be that way it's just a thought that you made up in your head it's like a dream and now you're literally going to walk into the restaurant and get mad when it's not that way and get excited it starts to be that way that's really sad you set yourself up to suffer it's not going to be the way you want it to be now do you see why I'm saying that that's
just the Restaurant then you're going to leave the restaurant and walk down the sidewalk and there might be car driving by and they might have carbon dioxide coming out of their thing or it might be loud or it might not be romantic or the moon might have been pretty when you came in and you're in a romantic mood but then the clouds are how many things can go wrong how many things can be not the way you want billions how many things can be the way you want One you know you who study statistics and
stuff probability studies you have only one way that you want it to be you've made up a way you want it to be there are billions of ways it could be what is the probability you're going to win one AB billion no but that's not true because this is really the way I want it to be I really feel strongly about this that doesn't change a single thing it doesn't matter how much you want it it doesn't Matter how reasonable it seems to well you don't understand I never had anything before and other people get
it so it's my turn it must be my no has nothing that's going on inside of you has anything to do with what's going on outside of you what's going on outside of you is the result of physics and chemistry and cause and effect isn't it it's reality it's real stuff going on out there it has nothing to do with you the only thing has something to do with You is this garbage that's going on inside of you fair enough all right so I told you the probability of getting it the way I don't need
to tell you that you know the probability of getting what you want is Slim to nil has been so far hasn't it how you doing so far no wonder we're neurotic no wonder do we have so much tension how much tension would you have if you deci I got to pick up that 10,000 you have a lot of tension you have a lot of attention if You decide the moments unfolding in front of you are supposed to be the way you want I told you once every single thing in front of you took 13.8 billion
years to get there that's when the Big Bang happened 13.8 billion years ago every single thing from the moment of that big bang that's a long time ago had to unfold together all the forces of cre to all come together and everything had to be exactly it was for this room to be The way it is with these people in it all the genetics and your grandma and Grand what if Grandma his grandma and grandpa didn't meet each other wo it's a whole another path to the universe isn't it everything had to be exactly the
way it was for you to be the way you are and for everything to be this way so how can it be the way you want you weren't even here it is the way it is and there's something very holy about the way it is is it's the way it is it has that r word Was oh yeah reality that is what it is so when you walk into that restaurant if you're wise you have not made up how you want it to be you have not said it's supposed to be the way I need
it to be based on my thoughts and my emotions you said wow it took 13.8 billion years and I'm going to walk in and see what it made I'm going to see what happened after 13.8 billion years in this particular spot in the universe every spot in the universe Going at the same time took 13.8 billion years to get there didn't it but I don't get to see those I only get to see the one that's in front of me as they talk about the sacredness of the now R Us be here now that's why
the now is sacred it took 13.8 billion years to be there and you're going to get to experience it and there are 800 billion zillion other moments that you won't get to experience every single moment so would you please appreciate the one you're seeing the Answer is no I can't why cuz I can't handle the thoughts and emotions that it stimulates inside of me now are we getting it it's embarrassing to talk like this isn't it good is this not the truth it's not because it's wrong it can't be wrong it's the result of 13.8
billion years coming together there it is manifesting it's awesome there's actually a skyscraper or a building where did it come from 13.8 billion years ago there Was nothing but thick hydrogen gases after the big bang just thick hydrogen gases right there's most simple element and then it oh my God follow it through it all pulled itself together through vision and gravity oh my God and it made all this you know that every single piece of gold on this planet was baked in the Stars every single piece of gold on this planet whatever the atomic number
of gold is started as hydrogen atoms 13.8 Billion years ago and they got pulled together due to gravity and started fusing together and letting off nuclear fusion which lit the stars and then it started to fuse together hydrogen helium lithium Boron brillium etc etc and that's where every single atom in creation got created including gold and then those Stars blew up and they scattered all that stuff and it coagulated together due to gravity and made the planet Earth and that is where Your nose came from now come and tell me what you like and what
you don't like and I'm going to ask you of what relevance is that what has that got to do with reality what is that got to do with what's going on have gotten to the point where they're going to say there is nothing nothing less relevant in this universe than what I want or don't want it's just the most irrelevant thing in the world I just kind of made it up how did I decide what I like and don't like it isn't a decision I made certain thoughts freak me out other thoughts make me feel
really good that's what decides what I like and don't like how many of you really really like what freaks you out nobody how many of you hate what makes you feel love and joy and excitement and enthusiasm nobody that's what's deciding what you like and dislike is your ability to interact with your own thoughts and your own emotions so one Way you can live your life is to waste it by going out there struggling with every moment that's in front of you trying to make it be the way that your thoughts and emotions feel better
and that's what you've been doing that's what everybody's doing now when I did the restaurant I purposely just took one moment in time and space you're not going to have it be the way you want but that's not even the point cuz even if you did if you use superhuman powers and Paid everybody and did every oh my God you did just perfectly and got out of that restaurant with your head straight there's another moment and then there's another one and another what are you going to do manipulate them all you must be tired that
was really we out wasn't it you don't even know what's going to show up next do you and then you have to make it be the way you want you sit there and cook dinner all night and your husband Or your boyfriend whatever it is or girlfriend doesn't matter had a tough day and they don't come home the way you expected them to you had it all planned out oh wow thank you let's sit down have a romantic candle like dinner no they just walking I had a tough day deby wow how you doing I
hope you're doing wonderful cuz you just experience the reality of the moment it wasn't what you wanted okay just is what is are you okay with it no Well then you're not okay how simple was that you see it so now do you want to say that he or she did something wrong by having that a hard day and because if you want to say they did something wrong it means their boss did something wrong because it made the hard day hard and then the boss had trouble because the sales wasn't as high supposed to
be so the boss put pressure on the guy I mean who exactly did something wrong pretty much you get back to everything it all Wasn't the way it was supposed to be it didn't turn out the way I wanted even the dinosaurs didn't do what they were supposed to do because they affected it too and the moon was in a wrong place if you say something's wrong you said everything's wrong if you say anything's wrong and shouldn't be that way you have questioned creation you have questioned all the cause and effects that caused it to
be that way doesn't mean you have to leave it that way doesn't mean you can't Work with it to raise it but I'm stressing is if you walk into the moment with an idea based on you of how it's supposed to be and you're judging right and wrong and good and bad and like and dislike from your own personal point of view based on your ability to handle or not handle your thoughts and emotions you're in trouble and so is everybody around you nobody likes being manipulated but that's what we do don't we so you
get to a point I Hope you get to a point you realize there got to be another way to live this life I canot go out there and expect every moment to be the way I want it to be everything everybody says what they wear everything better be the way I want or I won't be okay then you're not going to be okay but what's the alternative because I can't handle my thoughts and emotions learn to handle your thoughts and emotions I am telling you when it is Said and done it takes way less energy
and I mean way less to learn to be comfortable with the variety of thoughts and emotions that can be generated inside of you than it does to manipulate and control every single person in every single moment that unfolds in front of you so it doesn't make the thoughts and emotions that you can't handle happen it's not even close the amount of effort is not even close and guess what you will never win never of getting the World the way you want it to be and getting people to be the way you want to be will
you and this one of course you'll win they're your thoughts your emotions I can't handle your thoughts and emotions I can't so learn I understand you can't nobody's saying you know you're there yet okay some of you play the piano first time you sat down you played beethova right no I couldn't even play scales well how'd you get from scales to Moonlight well I practiced oh You learned you learned to do it math you're born knowing how to do calculus right no well how can you do it now I learned well why don't you learn
this that's spirituality that's the other way of living your life take your attention your intention your will your time and your energy learn and I'll Teach You How in a moment learn to handle the variety of thoughts and emotions that naturally can unfold In front of you while you're living inside because if you can do that you can honor and respect the world that's unfolding in front of you now let's finish that thought for a moment if I don't have trouble with my own thoughts and emotions then I can handle what you do is that
funny if I can handle my thoughts and my emotions I can handle the different things that you do yeah behave different at different times don't you maybe you say nice things Maybe you say n some nice things maybe you yell at me maybe you tell me you love me and say just kidding I don't know what you're going to do you can do any kind of thing if I can handle the emotion and the thought that it generates inside of me guess what I can do handle you I can handle you it is not the
event that's happening it's how you're interacting with it so you can learn anything you want inside there's no competition you're the only one in There there's nobody else in there there's not even physics messing around with you right out here the piano my fingers aren't long enough I got all kinds of issues you follow me in there not there's no body there's no form there's nothing there's just me and this thought and this emotion if I want to handle the thought and emotion let me ask you a question are there thoughts and emotions you can't
handle notice the word I said not are the thoughts and Emotions you don't want to handle are there thoughts and emotions that you can't handle most of you will say yes that's a lie it's not true next time that thought or emotion starts to come up I can't handle I can't handle it I'll give you a million dollars if you can handle it for five seconds can you handle it well sure a million dollars 5 Seconds well then you can handle it I'm calling you on it right it means you didn't want to bad enough
that's Different than I can't now you can't lift that th000 PB at 10,000 lb but you can handle that emotion if you want to it's really real you get real if you would like to have a beautiful life it is available to you if you would like to have a stressful tenens weird never okay life continue continue saying the only way I'm going to be okay is if everything's the way I want it to be that's when I'll be okay of course I'm not okay look what he did look what she Did look what happened
today of course I'm not okay somebody was driving 10 miles hour below the speed limit in front of me oh my god of course I'm not okay I was in a rush I got so up tight it messed me up the whole day is that because of the person that was driving the way they were driving in front of you or was that because of you you have to decide which life you want to live you didn't have to do that with it did you you could have done anything you Wanted you could have enjoyed
okay I guess I'm going to have a slow drive to work I got an excuse to be late to put some music on you do whatever you want you can learn to handle your thoughts and emotions you don't know how to right now I understand that but you didn't know these other things either tennis you learned how to play tennis what meaningless stuff you learned all right what good does it do you oh my backand is so good now so what how much do you Use that learn this learn to be able to handle every
single thought that can pop up in your head and every single emotion that can pop up in your heart and we have a word for you what was it oh yes you're liberated that is what the word Liberation means that I don't have to fight the world because I can't handle me you're now free you're free to enjoy the moment that's unfolding in front of you you're free to appreciate and and Play and you're free to be happy you're free to enjoy the different experiences that you get to have instead of being afraid that something
might cause you to get weird and then you stay weird for the rest of your life you know that if you don't handle something when you're six it's still there when you're 60 go ask the psychologist they go fishing in there for that stuff ask Freud that stuff's still in there you couldn't handle it and so it's still bothering You well by the time you get older you've collected a lot of stuff haven't you because you couldn't handle it it's bad enough that it was a problem when it happen now it gets to be a
problem for the rest of your life you do have stuff in there don't you from the past that's still a problem that happened to you that you couldn't handle you still can't handle it can you comes back up you freak out I don't want you walking around like that why because I know you Don't have to period and it has nothing to do with picking up 10,000 it has nothing to do with making the restaurant be the way you want it has to do with you learning to be okay with you so this is the
Deep teaching so you finally reached the point I hope we've reached it where you say to yourself okay I've been working I've been setting up shop at the wrong place I've been keeping my mess and then trying to make The world behave so it doesn't hit it I've been keeping my mess I'm closed and trying to get the world to do something to turn me on those are two things you want to do the world shouldn't unfold in a way that messes you up should it it makes you feel weird or uncomfortable and the world
should somehow magically unfold in a way you get all inspired and turned on and feel love and excitement okay and you kind of looking for that stuff aren't you that's absurd all you Have to do is change your relationship with your thoughts and your emotions and you're going to find out that nothing bothers you and you're turned on all the time there it's a lot more reasonable so how do you do that it's easy not easy to finish it but it's easy to know how to do it you're going to have different thoughts and emotions
how do I know you'll see them you don't have to pay anybody all day different thoughts and emotions going to pop up in there aren't They one at a time don't don't don't to be grandiose about it just all I want you to do is handle the one that's in front of you don't worry about what mommy did don't worry about first ex-husband don't worry about what's going to happen tomorrow the way you play this game is if something's in front of you you ask yourself can I handle this and is a rhetorical question the
answer under all circumstances at every time before you even think about It is yes yes I can handle this because if you say no then you can't the many of you say no I can't handle this it's over forget it Kiss It Goodbye if I tell you go over there and try to pick up that £10,000 I can't come on try no I can't turns out it's papier-mâché the numers just painted on a piece of papier-mâché if you say I can't then you can't doesn't mean if you say I can I can but I guarantee
if you say I can't I can't so if you say to yourself all right I'm Not really good at this emotion thought stuff that Mickey was talking about embarass I hope he doesn't notice right but I've never been very good at handling my own thoughts and emotions how about you and the thoughts can really bother me and the emotions can freak me out completely they've made a complete mess of my life very good so maybe that's what we need to work a little bit so all you have to say to yourself is in the next
moment there's Going to be something unfolds in front of me and there's going to be a thought and or an emotion that pops up I can handle that I can handle that how long to have to handle it for only as long as it's there you don't have to handle it for you don't have to bring keep bringing it back and make sure you're okay with it just if it's there somebody walks by doesn't say hello to you hi George they just walk by why what I do oh that's just start Going on in it
you okay with that you okay with that so what happened just say yes but I'm not yes if you want to get free if you want to have a beautiful life there are going to be people either didn't hear you or maybe there're thinking lost I don't know why she walked by without saying hello when you said hello I know it hurt I know that doesn't bring up nice thoughts and emotions you feel a little left out you Feel a little rejected anybody know anything about those words left out and rejected and okay good I
make sure we're on the same page and then because you feel uncomfortable then your mind starts doesn't it you starts thinking why would she do that what did I do wrong I wonder if Peter told her I didn't say it any oh my God going south doesn't it goes all over the place those thoughts thoughts are happening because you can't handle the emotion you're trying to rationalize It away you're trying to find a way to become comfortable with what took place either you rationalize it away well she didn't hear me was that or you sit
there and say yeah well wait till the next time I see her I'll let her know what that feels like that feels better it's just a stupid game you're playing inside your head because you can't handle your emotions and you can't handle your thoughts if I give you one thought well where's your girlfriend she's at work You sure that resulted for the next 4 hours your mind can go a lot of places can't it you couldn't handle one thought it's hilarious you couldn't handle the thought are you sure look what your mind's going to do
for hours and hours later oh my God you don't want to be like that do you you want to be able to handle reality she at work how do you know are you sure says that's where she said she was gone you know find out later she did See her tonight wouldn't that be nice to be okay with it just comes and goes and you know you can handle whatever happens and you don't have to be all weird all day is that worth working for okay so how do you work for it you understand that
you have a problem your thoughts and your emotions or your inability to handle them so we need to treat them like tennis we need to treat them like piano playing we need to treat them like math we're going to learn to be better At it you have plenty of time there's no rush every single one you get better at means you have less trouble it's not all or nothing if you learn to be a little more comfortable with this type of thing then you're more comfortable with it so you always win there is not one
single bit of self-effort that you put out in learning to be comfortable with yourself that is wasted not one but you've wasted a lot of efforts on relationships and finances and all kinds of stuff trying To fix it haven't you all right like kind of stuff you put out there so since you're little didn't really work out so well did it and this one every bit you do benefits you it's really beautiful spirituality is very very beautiful it's very important it's real so how do I do it you first decide that's what I want to
do that's my job it's my real job I go to another job this is my job it's above everything the most important relationship you will ever have is the One with yourself you have a relationship with yourself perfect it put real work into that relationship how do I do that you do it by realizing the world will unfold and it will naturally bring up a certain thought or a certain emotion I will practice the best of my ability to be okay with that thought and emotion that came up in that moment then what will happen
something else I guarantee you something else will happen there'll be Another moment and there'll be another thought and another emotion well what if the last one I didn't handle it perfectly you get another try don't worry about it it'll come back up when none of your business I'm telling you I swear to you this is the highest spiritual teaching you don't have to decide a single thing you just have to say if it's in front of me I can handle it I have to marry it I don't have to love it right but I can
Handle it that's your starting position until you realize that it's true you can handle whatever you want can't you people are serious how strong they can be in then when they really got got to when it comes right down to it amazing what you can handle when you need to I'm asking for that strength all the time that's all because this is your growth this is your life so you start working with yourself all right now okay I've made the Commitment I understand what you're saying I've made the commitment that if it's unfolding in front
of me and it's bringing up different emotions and thoughts inside of me I'm going to work that's my work I'm going to work on trying to be comfortable learning to let them pass being okay with the thoughts and emotions that naturally are stimula and come up inside of me that's very different that I'm not okay so I'm going To manipulate the world so it doesn't happen it's also very different that I know better than manipulating the world so I'm going to manipulate my thoughts and emotions so they don't be the way I don't want them

I like you that's what I want that there's no thought or emotion that bothers you anymore doesn't mean it's not an uncomfortable thought or emotion but you're okay with it you in there you who Experiences it yep that was tough hey and you ever have children you women you sitting here ever have children I hear it's kind of painful you did it he made it through sometimes you go back for seconds and thirds right it doesn't mean it's not painful does it it means it's worth it every hear the expression no pain no gain why
does that not apply to the most important thing in your entire life which is your Liberation your Freedom your ability to enjoy everything so what if it's uncomfortable a little bit I'd rather have it be uncomfortable a little bit than uncomfortable for the rest of my life cuz I afraid of it happening like I would rather feel comfortable hiking in the woods and yes I might see a rattlesnake and I'll deal with it I'll do my best to deal with it but I'm not going to not hike in the woods because I'm afraid I might
see a rattlesnake that's what you're doing With your thoughts and emotions you can't handle them so you're literally trying to create in a world around you that makes it so you don't have to well that just limited your hope World amazingly so you commit yourself just inwardly you commit yourself it's something you do within yourself there nothing with anybody else is commit within yourself that the world's going to unfold and I'm weird in here there's going to be different thoughts and Emotions that pop up at different times good what I really want not okay I
can handle it good I like it it's fun whatever it needs to be just be I okay I'm just the one who's EXP experiencing it so here it comes and it's not going to affect my behavior it's not going to affect anything a bad thoughts not going to create 50 more bad thoughts it's just ooo that one smelled woo like if you drive by and there was a skunk what do you do stop and to see how much it Smells and takes them home to remind everybody you just ah it's stunk for a little while
so what just keep driving you keep on trucking that's what you do with yourself inside if you will do that you will find that because you can handle it you don't need to struggle with it and if you don't need to struggle with it it doesn't stay inside I started off by telling you is the white lines don't stay in there do they people you don't care about they say Stuff to you you don't care it's only the stuff that you can't handle that you paid so much attention to that stays you start to catch
on I don't have to keep my jealousies my fears my insecurities my different disappointments that happen I don't think keep them inside of me I'm happy with them they're fine they're part of life it's wonderful and you just keep relaxing that's what you do inside you in there that is experiencing the thought you in there that is Experiencing the emotion it's not about the world it's not about the thought of the emotion it's about you you say to me oh my God I had this thought it drove me crazy who did it drive crazy I
don't care about the thought I don't care what happened that made the thought come and I don't care about the thought I care about you said oh my God I couldn't even see who's the eye who is in there experiencing the disturbance this thought is creating that one is always Okay that I assure you you in there you're always okay your thoughts may not be your emotions may not be but you are always okay you're just the Consciousness the awareness of being that is aware that there's this thought that popped up settle back into the
seat of self settle back into the place you see the thought from not into the thought into the place you are looking from I am in here experiencing this thought don't go into the thought relax And lean back into where you are seeing from if you do that you leave room for the thought to release if you get in close and fight with it it stays because you're fighting with it you're engaged in it you're giving it your energy if you relax and release same thing with the emotions Here Comes an emotion how do you
know I'm in here I see it relax no yes it's so funny relax let's say I have a problem smoking I want to quit smoking let's get real I've tried Patches I've tried this I've tried hypnosis all that well why don't they work wait a minute I I mean you tried what does that mean fion didn't stay on no that that's what I meant hypnosis didn't work what you mean when you tried and it didn't work is at one moment after your little patch and after a little hypnosis there was this urge there was this
urge to smoke it came up you felt the urge of smoke and guess what you did you smoked that's why it Didn't work it didn't not work as the patch it didn't not work as the hypnosis it didn't work because you couldn't handle the urge is that fair enough there was a moment in which there was this urge this tendency this drive this impulse call it whatever you want and you couldn't handle it you said you weren't going to drink you said you weren't going to smoke you said you weren't going to get angry anymore
whatever it is you're in there you s Started getting angry and you couldn't handle it you let it pull you into it and next thing you know you're smoking you're drinking you're fighting whatever it is it's the exact same thing I'm talking about is you need to learn how to relax if when the urge to smoke came up you relaxed and leaned away from it guess what you wouldn't have smoked that's all that's the only difference having stopped smoking not having stopped smoking if you feel anger Start people tell me about anger all the time
you start feel anger popping up inside you feel it you see it start to happen don't you it starts to get weird in there relax say I can handle this just relax relax away from it if you relax away from it you gave it room to do its little release its little dance next thing you know you're able to handle the situation without losing it without becoming involved in the anger it is true of every single thing if you Will practice this with anything if you practice ice your backhand in tennis you get better at
everything if you practice your scales in piano believe it or not you're closer to playing Beethoven anything you practice in there makes you great at everything so don't let these things run your life practice handling the tiniest thought the person driving in front of you it's raining you don't want it to it's a little cold out it's a little hot out you wore the wrong shirt To what every else was wearing you drop some ketchup on your pants at lunch I love all of them I hope they all happen to you I love them why
because they cause something to come up inside of you that's pretty darn benign give me a break how many pants there are going on at the same time in the UN There's 7 billion people sitting on the planet theyve all got something on and you dropped a piece of catchup on your pants well let's get all caught up in the most Meaningless thing that ever lived because you can't handle the thoughts that are going on in your head about your catchup it's not that you can't handle the ketchup on the pants you don't have to
do anything it stays there by itself there's nothing to do you can't handle your own thoughts okay would you like to be able to would you like for the following happen you're out there eating lunch and you're doing a thing some catchup Fs in your pants and Your mind goes oh look there's some catchup in my pants you go back to eat your lunch that's it maybe later you try to wash it off a little bit maybe you don't whatever it is doesn't matter why CU it's not bothering you if it's not bothering you it's
not relevant is it you go back to work somebody says you I got some catchup pant yeah I know wow would I like you to be like that wouldn't that be nicer what's the difference so every single thing you Interact with each day relax relax now what's going to happen is you will get better at this you can't not anything you practice at you get better at and now you're practicing every moment aren't you just keep relaxing and releasing if you need to you can use the power of mind to help rise above mine so
if somebody's driving in front of you slowly and you're having trouble relaxing behind you you're really getting up tight make your mind Start saying nice things boy I love this oh my God I'll bet that that person in front of me really enjoys driving slowly I like them a lot I'm really glad I get to give them this opportunity to drive so slow right I think most people wouldn't they be beeping at them and stuff I'm really a nice person I don't care what you do make something nice out of the experience that's called positive
affirmation you're welcome to do it and so you start it's called working with Yourself it's called working on yourself you can change anything you want in there and so if you will do this you will start to become better at it and when you come better at it with little things the next thing you're going to know something Big's going to come up bigger from the past that you're never able to handle before and all of a sudden it's going to come up and use the exact same technique that you used with the person driving
in front of you that You used when it was raining and relax and lean behind it and it will go and I'm telling you it will go not once necessarily may take a few times but each time it will be less and eventually somebody will talk about Mommy and you won't be crying and eventually not only not be crying I I love when someone comes to me and says you know I guess what you're saying happened to me because there was this thing that always bothered me and I noticed that it was Getting less and
less and I noticed the other day that something happened that would have triggered it and nothing happened I had to look back later nothing happened there was nothing in there anymore there was nothing to be triggered I didn't have to do anything I didn't even have to relax cuz nothing happened it was later that I realized oh my God that would have driven me crazy a year ago that's spiritual growth isn't it you can be that way about everything You just have to be willing to relax and release Behind these thoughts and emotions that very
naturally come up they come up because you stored them in there that's why your thoughts and emotions are the way they are you stored from the past what turned you on what turned you off right now something similar to it do you understand that every single thought and emotion that you have going on in there is programmed by you it's programmed by the events That happened to you from the past left these Impressions on side of you now they're being stimulated again it's not complicated there there's psych 101 102 103 1604 right that's all that's
happening you do not need to keep that in there you can naturally let go so this is the alternative life one you're out there fighting with everything so that it doesn't stimulate the thoughts and emotions you can't handle and the second is you sit there and say there Are not going to be any thoughts and emotions I can't handle there are not going to be any thoughts and emotions I can't handle now with a few minutes left well what about aren't we supposed to be helping others and working with life and improving things if what
you're doing is manipulating the world because you can't handle you you're not improving anything not you or anybody else I'm just making it better no you're not just making it better you're trying to make it be the Way you need it to be because you can't handle your thoughts and emotions it doesn't make it better all right so you first check and make sure have you caught on that if something's bothering you and you're out there trying to manipulate and control because it's bothering you it's not helping you and it's not helping the person you're
manipulating you're dumping your problems onto the world instead work with them now what does that mean it Means if I can handle what's happening now I don't need to manipulate it because I can handle it and you're going to reach a point it's called becoming clear that's what Clarity is so Su tried to explain in the da when you're done with you when you look out into this world it won't look like it looked before there's a line in the third Zen patriarch one of the deepest writings ever written it's the one that starts with
the great way Is not difficult for those who have no preferences but there's a line way further down in that writing that says when a thing can no longer offend you it ceases to exist in the old way that's very Zen but it's everything we just talked about when a thing now causes you to get weird it's offending you either needs come up or fears come up well if needs and fears come up then I have to deal with that thing a certain way don't I it looks like something that I need it looks like
something I'm afraid of when it can no longer offend you you can see it for what it is you know you don't see it in relationship to your fears and needs and all of a sudden the whole world changes doesn't really change but it changes for you you look out there and you see people you see men and women boys and girls and children and trees and you see what's actually there instead of seeing how it hits your stuff most people never have that Experience that's called the spiritual experience what just tree that's then what
do you mean I saw just tree well I see trees all the time no you don't you see the tree that reminded you of where you grew up you see the tree that people are cutting down in the Amazon rainforest and we're all going to die you words it stimulates your thoughts and emotions and that's what you see you see your reaction to tree you've never met another human being because every Single human being hits your stuff there's something going on in your mind and your emotions with everybody you meet isn't there something comes up
that's what you're seeing is what comes up inside of you you're seeing the effect that things have on your emotions and your thoughts when you get clear this called Clarity that's not happening anymore because you let go of this stuff and you don't need to be devoting your life to it you're allowed to look Outside and see what's there and what you find out is because you're not motivated by need or fear you can start to serve what's in front of you the world unfolds in front of you and you'll realize something really beautiful every
moment that unfolds in front of you took 13.8 billion years to get there and it took you 13.8 billion years to get in front of that moment it is a match made in Heaven every moment you talk about I wish there were more special moments in Life that's all there are is special moments in life but what you mean by a special moment is one that hits my stuff properly no it's because you have stuff that there are no special moments the moment you're done with your stuff everything's special the bird is special everybody else's
child is just as special as your child Everything is Awesome unbelievable so you come into the moment clear and open it unfolds in front of you and the next thing you're Going to see it's very quiet it's going to ask something of you even the tiniest thing it doesn't matter you just raise a little bit you say hello you smile or you serve it but there's always going to be an interaction with the moment that's unfolding in front of you but no longer is that interaction about you it's about the moment that's true selfless service
selfless service isn't like I wanted to be a certain way but I won't do it because I'm being selfless that's not Selfless that's depression selfless service is when there's no self involved it's not a selfless Act is that there is no personal self involved therefore I'm interacting fully with you or the moment that's in front of me and there's always something you can do to raise it always somebody want asked me what does it mean to live a high life it means that every single moment that unfolds in front of you is better off because
it did every moment that unfolds in front Of you is blessed because it unfold in front of you instead of someone trying to take something from it or push it away and because it's unfolding in front of you you just be there you be present and you do what you can to raise it then you kiss say goodbye then the next moment comes next moment comes and all of a sudden Life is Beautiful your life and the life of everybody around you that is spirituality very real stuff isn't it okay it's it's not a belief
the Amazing part though is if you let go of yourself like that and you come back into this place of clarity you will be the one who knows about the G word because you're going to find out that you in there is the only one that can know anything about God What You're Made Of what Consciousness is is what has the connection to Spirit you going start to find out you all the secrets of the universe are experienced as you fall back into the seat of self question Becomes at one point where do I come
from I don't mean your body I don't mean your thoughts and don't mean your emotions you who notices your thoughts and emotions what's your Source because it's something very special it's where Christ said my father and I are one all of these you know that everything we talked about tonight is Christ teachings and Buddhist teachings and Muhammad's teachings and the cabala Christ said you must die to be reborn that's what we Just talked about that's the real death in it you must be willing to let go of your personal self and what's left mayor Baba
