what makes this GBU custom better than this stock gel Blaster so let's get straight into it gel blasters as a hobby can entail a lot of time stress and money if you don't know what you're doing so here at GBU we love to offer the alternative of pre-built customs and it's something that we've been dominating in this industry with in The Last 5 Years and today we're going to show you exactly what a GBU custom has inside of it to differentiate it from a stock Jo Blaster now the difference in these rifles can vary a
lot from performance to aesthetic looks do offer different types of Customs so your stage two stage three stage 4 and HPA of course though we're going to show you just the general upgrade that we do and what actually changes from a stock gearbox to a GBU custom gearbox then if you'd like any further information please contact us or jump on website and you'll see a full list of what we actually put in our GBU custom gel blasters so for now let's dive straight in and see what's inside these bad boys that make them so unique
all right so before we can understand the actual upgrades we're just going to go over the general components of a stock gel Blaster now we do have a metal gearbox inside which pretty much most gel blasters in 2024 have a metal gearbox and also all your attachments such as your handguard your suppressor or fire breaker your metal receiver your butt stock buffer chw your motor and so on and so forth so there is a lot of components that we can modify though to keep the price within range we don't want to go and modify everything
as we do want to give you guys the opportunity to add your own attachments to make it your personalized jaw Blaster but what we do tend to do is absolutely max out the internal performance so you know when you buy a GBU custom that you will have one of the highest performing Joel blasters in Australia so in saying that when you do put your eyes on a GBU custom jail Blaster you can see that there's a lot different from colors Aesthetics and just stuff you would never originally get from a stock gel Blaster everything from
fire selects to bolt catchers to mag releases custom triggers custom for grips hopups barrels and all your internal gear mechanisms which we're going to go into in just a second so really the sky is a limit when it does come to modifications and us as professionals we'd like to just show you and present to you a fully built ja Blaster that you can appreciate and take on the field and absolutely dominate your opponents so let's jump in the gearbox and see what is actually different and what we actually offer here at GBU that makes you
and our Jael blasters the top of the industry say I've roughly put together two different styles of gearbox from stock being up here and a fully GBU customized gearbox being down here so the things you want to learn about a GBU custom or even just customizing a gel blaster in general is the power of the motor and how much power that motor can actually pull now what a lot of people don't understand is that between the motor and the spring it needs to make sense so if you have a weakish motor and you're putting a
really high powerered spring that motor is going to heat up and it won't actually have enough power to pull that spring and I know a lot of you have witnessed this where your motor just burns out or your gearbox just locks up because the motor is not actually powerful enough to pull it so with your stock motor it tends to put a uh pull a M100 spring which is a stock standard bring that is why you get a stock standard motor because those two pair perfectly um and then your metal gears are standard and the
standard gearbox does come with cast gears which are fine but if you were to upgrade the motor and the spring and actually put a little bit more stress and tension on those gears eventually they will heat up and they will burn out and snap over time so that's why we recommend whenever you upgrade your gearbox you upgrade pretty much every component in it so it stays robust and it is all complimenting each other in the way the mechanics work so here you have stock cast gears a stock taer plate you have a stock cylinder head
and nozzle now the reason I say stock doesn't mean it's bad it just means it can get better and we do offer better so the seals from the cylinder header nozzle to the actual cylinder itself sometimes they leak that's how you lose FPS and pretty much just everything stock as it is which performs at between 200 and 320 FPS depending on the manufacturer now when we say GBU custom there really is a big difference and we do put a lot of effort when we go to manufacture a GBU custom so as you can see here
we have a fully branded motor as per the stock motor we have an shs high torque black motor which is a super high torque with a balanced 28,000 RPM speed which is the perfect balance for mil Sim and speed ball believe it or not then we complement that with shs gears which are carbon steel which complements the carbon steel pinion that's on the motor and then we come up here we pair that with an shs piston which has a carbon steel rack as well now what we tend to see also guys is that the gears
if you're running a carbon steel rack but you still have the stock cast gears it can actually the carbon steel can actually chew away at the cast gear um because it is not the same metal or not the same steel so you want to make sure if you're doing an upgrade and you have some shs gear that you kind of match it all together to avoid anything outperforming anything else moving up we have the shs nozzle depends if we're going to put a nozzle in the GBU build um in most cases we wouldn't but in
this just to show you guys you can absolutely customize any part so we got the cylinder head and nozzle then we have an shs Tapper plate which is much more hardened which can put up with much more speed as opposed to the stock plastic one here of course to make the seal better which in turn gives you much more FPS we have the green o-ring which we don't have it here but it's just a black stock o-ring that hasn't been qced and has a lot of air leaks which again drops your FPS and then we've
got some extras here that I didn't install in the gearbox so we have your bushes um which are super super durable that won't burn out or pop out when you're performing or you're out in the field then we have the select fire plate as well we have shims so another thing to keep in mind this stock gearbox doesn't come shimmed so you will maybe hear a lot of squeaking and a lot of gearbox getting hot if using it over amount of time we shim our gear boxes as well so it gives you the maximum performance
and you won't have to let it cool down after 1 or 2 hours out in the game field then we have a personalized compression spring to match the build so these gears do actually come in a few different variation so we have 9:1 which is essentially your DSG 12:1 13:1 16 to 1's and then 18 to 1's so that's all just differentiating the speed so if you're getting a 9 to1 build it's going to be very very fast so you don't want a super big spring in that because it's going to be working overtime so
we match it perfectly to the spring so right here we have 16 to 1's and we have an m120 spring and just a side note the way the m120 Springs work or the M series springs is whatever the number is it should be three times that and that's your total FPS so if you have an m120 that should be a 360 FPS build and it's the same if it's an m110 it's going to be 330 so you just times the number by three and essentially that's the guy to get getting your gel Blaster performing at
the optimal power so again there's a lot of extras in the GBU custom and there's a lot of space to go wrong as you're modifying it not everyone can understand how it works we've been doing this for 5 years so we know what works with what we know what will Outlast what and we put together a perfect uh gearbox to suit the GBU custom that you're going to purchase and of course we don't go over the top with the aesthetic look which gives you space to kind of add your own touch and make it your
