the first phrase is what it do what it do that's how you would say it the emotion of anger I'm going to give you a couple of phrases that conveys the emotion of anger sweet that's all you is boy you sweet you sweet boy yeah keep playing with me Mo stop playing with me dog that right there was a combination of different words coming out of my mouth in Hood this is exactly what they do man you Wilden for that one this is how you would pronounce it man you Wilding for that one man it
sounds like a sheep that is making a noise you know like man man gang welcome back to another video of English with Collins now guys in this specific video I'm actually going to teach you how to speak Hood this is part two if you have not watched part one the link is down below go ahead and click part one because in part one I teach you guys the fundamentals of learning the American Hood English now this is part two and in today's video we're going to learn how to speak American Hood English I'm talking about
understanding it and I'm also talking about speaking it so if you're definitely interested I want you to go ahead and stay tuned now before we go ahead make sure you click on that subscribe button click that like button and share this with one friend all right share this one friend share this one friend and comment down below your favorite phrase or statement let's Jump Right In interactive phrase challenge I'm going to teach you two new phrases and we're actually going to use them in this specific challenge the first phrase is what it do what it
do what it do that's how you would say it what it do hey what it do what it do what it do what it do what it do the pronunciation would be what it do remember sometimes in the American accent the T itself is flapped around into a d I have discussed this previously in my other videos the flap T sound the flap T sound which is basically the T at times when there is not a lot of attention to the T in a specific word it is transformed and flipped around and the pronunciation becomes
a d so what it do you wouldn't pronounce what it do like that you would say what it do a what it do you see the t is flipped around to a d what a do now what is the meaning of what a do what a do means how are you how are you so when you see your friend and you're like hey what it do hey what's up man what it do meaning hey what is going on man how are you doing what it do that's another way of saying how are you doing so
when you pull up to your work and you're like hey what's good man what it do what's popping hey what's cracking what You' been up to meaning how are you doing what's going on is everything okay what have you been up to you see what I'm saying what it do now let's take a look at this next phrase slide through slide through now the way they would probably say it would be like hey slide through slide through so you wouldn't hear the D and the e at the end of the word because remember in the
American accent most of the time they remove a lot of the consonants at the end of specific words and they also combined in a link two different sounds together so slide becomes slide he slide a slide through he slide you feel feel me a slide a slide through slide through so they remove the D and the E from the word slide and they made it slide slide through through so slide through slide through now what is the meaning of slide through slide through means come over or visit come over or visit a slide through hey
pull up slide through where you at hey slide through you see excellent now I'm going to give you a sentence and I want you to fill in the blank okay I want you to fill in the blank with the right phrase that goes with it okay remember I only gave you two phrases so it's either one or the other so you need to pick all right let's go ahead the phrase is yo if you're free later you can to my spot what is the answer yo if you're free later you can to my spot what
is the answer now if you said slide through you're absolutely correct so you would say hey yo if you free later you can slide through to my spot you see that is how you say it slide through slide through excellent let me give you the next one the next one would be hey yo man what you been up to hey yo man what you been up to what is the correct answer if you said what to do you're right so you would say hey yo man what it do what you been up to hey yo
man what it do what you been up to you see perfect let's move on now let's do some Hood accent drills some Hood accent drills the goal is for you to be able to sharpen your pronunciation skills and rhythm with these drills the first phrase is man you Wilden for that one man you wild in for that one now this is how you would pronounce it man you wiing for that one man you wiing for that woman so basically what you're doing is you're reducing a lot of the consonants remember so instead of saying man
you're like man man it sounds like a sheep that is making a noise you know like me me so that's exactly what you're trying to do you're you're reducing the consonants you're removing the N from the word man man man you wiing Wilding instead of Wilding Wilding you wiing for that war for that war you Wilding for that one so together it would be man you whing for that one man you Wilding for that one mhm now now what does that even mean man you are Wilding for that one meaning that bro you're acting a
little bit crazy or you were too crazy for that situation or you did something that was crazy or you're acting crazy right now so that's that's basically what it means let's move on a keep it 100 with me a keep it 100 with me now the way you would say it in Hood would be hey keep it 100 with with me hey keep it a 100 with me so 100 becomes 100 100 hey keep it aund with me keep it aund with me hey keep it aund with me hey keep it a 100 with me
okay that means be absolutely honest with me or be real with me don't be fake keep it 100 with me or be trans transparent with me a keep it aun it with me excellent let's move on another phrase would be bruh you got to chill bruh you got to chill so to say it in hood or to say it even fast you would be like hey bro you got to chill hey bro you got to chill I told you before that when it comes to the American accent in general not necessarily Hood you are linking
sounds together they link a lot of sounds together so when you're speaking you don't have a lot of space in between words so if I'm saying I am I don't just say I am I say I am you're combining the words together so I am is combined with a Y removing the space I am I am so it's not I and then am I am linking sounds together okay I'm emphasizing this linking sounds together now before we continue right I want you guys to understand that I've designed an American English accent course this is a
mini course for beginners who want to learn the fundamentals of the American English accent the link is down below click it grab yourself a copy what are you waiting for okay now here's the thing this is not for Hood this is just the American English accent in general now if you want to learn Hood I'm working on a course for you but right now the only thing that I have is the flash card game that gives you a bit of a deeper understanding to the terms the definitions and the meaning of certain slang words that
are used here in the United States I've given you about5 different words together so you can also click the link below and grab a copy of that for yourself the next one is she stay flexing on the gram she stay flexing on the gram now the way you would say that in Hood be like she stay flexing on the gram she stay flexing on the gram so on that becomes on on on on a gram she stay flexing on the gram so what happens is when you're pronouncing the words right when you come to the
very last letter of the word itself you reduce a lot of that sound so instead of putting more emphasis on the last letter reduce the emphasis on the last letter so for example instead of saying Flex sing like you can hear the g at the end Flex sing the n and the g at the end I'm reducing the sound itself and instead of it becoming flexing it becomes flexing flexing you see that is how they do it it's not hard to learn this it's just a matter of paying attention to how they use their words
and how they pronounce it if you can pay attention to these two things trust me you're good let me give you another one I am trying to link up later I am trying to link up later now the way you would say that in Hood would be I'm trying to link up later I'm trying to link up later I'm tryina tryina so it's not trying it becomes tryina remember they're they're cutting the words out I'm trying to link up later I'm trying to link up later instead of I am trying to link up later I'm
trying to link up later I'm trying to link up later I'm trying to link up later I'm trying to link up later I'm trying to link up later boom that's how you do it let's move on now I'm going to give you a couple of phrases that conveys the emotion of anger I'm going to give you a couple of phrases that conveys the emotion of anger in Hood the way they display their anger comes in various forms especially through their words and through their facial expressions now of course this is very common because in English
in general if you're angry there are certain words that comes out of your mouth or if you're angry somebody can easily look at you and can tell that you're angry based on your facial expression it's necessarily that's not tied to hood only but I'm just going to show you exactly what usually people in Hood will say if they're actually mad are they trying to see what's up number one man stop playing with me man stop playing with me bro you keep playing with me bro stop playing with me stop playing with me so man stop
playing with me the pronunciation will be man stop playing with me with me stop playing with me stop playing with me so when they say stop playing remember you do not hear the last letter it's reduced okay it's removed and reduced play play so not playing play play they say it so fast that it extracts the syllables inside of the word so in usual English it would be playing but they say it so fast to the point where it sounds like one syllable blang play you see it sounds like playing but what they're saying is
playing stop playing hey stop playing with me playing too much you playing too much bruh hey stop playing with me Mo stop playing with me so stop playing with me is just another way of conveying a feeling of frustration or anger or impatience if that makes sense the next one would be you got me messed up you got me messed up bro now when someone says you got me messed up what what they really mean is someone has crossed the line or is being absolutely disrespectful like bro you got me messed up Mo you got
me messed up you got me messed up bro what you think this is you got me messed up that's improper grammar but like I said in Hood this is an informal way of speaking let's move on I'm about to spaz out on you Mo I'm about to spaz out on you bro keep playing with me Mo stop playing with me dog so what I just did did right there was an outburst of emotion all happening at once trust me when you come to the streets and you see two individuals fighting against each other nine times
out of 10 a lot of a lot of the times they're yapping at each other and there's a lot of that Outburst of emotion at once like at the Forefront when they're actually you know being confrontational with each other so they be like they be doing that that's basically in a sense you're bucking at the person like what's up BR stop playing with me bro so you notice that every single time when they're talking they will probably talk regular like this and then all of a sudden they just increase their volume drastically at the other
individual like stop playing with me bro I'm about to spaz out on you Mo about to spaz out on you Mo so you see what I'm saying like I'm about to spaz out on you now the meaning of I'm about to spaz out on you is it indicates that someone is about to lose their temper I'm about a spaz on on you Mo which means that I'm at the Forefront of losing my temper I'm to spaz out on you yeah keep playing with me like that boy you sweet so another example is if somebody says
you're sweet now in Hood you're sweet doesn't necessarily mean like you're actually beautiful or you look attractive or they might be making references to maybe your looks or anything of that nature like if a man is calling another man sweet or any of those kinds of things it's not necessarily in a way like a statement to admire this individual looks right so if somebody says you're sweet in hood and maybe this is sort of like a confrontational setting or or or or the or the or the situation itself is very very tense and let's say
you guys are arguing with each other and and and if the individual says you're sweet what they're really referring to is you are you are a coward you are a the p word you see what I'm saying that's exactly what they're referring to so they're either saying you are a coward or you are a the you are the p word or you are weak or you don't have the ability to stand up for yourself for example they will be like boy you sweet you can't do anything boy you can't do nothing boy sweet as hell
boy yeah can't do nothing what you think this is boy I'mma spaz out on you about to go ham on you Mo on Hood don't make me catch a case dog for real I'm about to spaz out on you on Hood keep playing with me BR keep playing with me like that you keep playing with me like that I'm going show you what's up hey what's up man you sweet as hell boy sweet that's all you is boy you sweet you sweet boy yeah that right there was a combination of different words coming out of
my mouth in Hood this is exactly what they do you know what I'm saying they they say all of these different kinds of phrases but they mean something completely different now remember this is absolutely all educational purposes only I'm not sitting here telling you to go stand somewhere in the street streets or some gas station and talk to some random guy like this because you will get popped and what I mean by you will get popped they will go they will beat you up you see what I'm saying so I wouldn't recommend that but this
is sort of like to create a certain level of awareness when you're when you're in those situations or you find yourself in that environment and they're talking like this you know exactly what they're saying and you're not confused you see if you understand how they speak trust me you will never be lost in any situation because trust me it's not all the time that you're actually going to be sitting there having a formal conversation with someone unless you unless you work in a corporate environment if you're not working in a corporate environment or something that
or something that has to deal with the federal government or things of that nature trust me trust me you're going to be surrounded by a lot of people that speaks informally you see what I'm saying most people speak more informal most people speak informal more than for noral that's just how it is and so when you come when you go into the big major cities like Cali uh New York um what's it called the DMV go to Florida a lot of people speak informal it's very hard it's it's only a few people that actually speak
formal and so this is all to serve that educational purpose now if you guys want to see different Hood statements conveying different levels of emotions let me know you know what I'm saying if you guys want to learn different kinds of uh statements that that are used to describe different emotions in Hood definitely let me know I can make another full video on just emotions in general where we can we can dive deep into anger itself and full-fledged statements is that full-fledged statements that people actually make especially when they're angry or sad or happy or
whatever it is and stuff like that I'm even thinking about doing something where eventually I'm actually going to take the camera and we're actually going to we're actually going to go in the streets and we're actually going to interview people and uh so that you guys can get a chance to really hear what people in America actually say so so that it's not necessarily me sitting here teaching you but you guys can actually see it live on YouTube so if that's something that you guys definitely want to see I'm definitely looking forward to be creating
content like that sometime next year so stay tuned and let's make it happen thank you so much for staying to the end I do appreciate you so much for watching I appreciate you so much for your time and everything thank you so much all right man I love you guys appreciate you guys and uh definitely subscribe and stay tuned all right stay tuned that's what that's what it is you feel me stay tuned more blessings
