I'm Uncle John and my home state of Louisiana is full of beautiful nature, abundant opportunities, and friendly southern people. But Louisiana problems leave a lot of people struggling and forgotten. So I assemble a team, knock on strangers doors, and help them for free.
But after helping so many strangers, I realized that I overlooked someone who always helped others but never asked for help. And that was my pastor, Billy Ray. When I heard his serious problem, I dropped [music] everything.
And even with a major storm rolling in, I headed over to his house. He's helped me before, and now it's my turn to help him, just like a good neighbor should, y'all. I Well, I don't know that.
Well, you know, middle of the night. Well, you know, I look I know when I got up the next morning to go to work, I got in the truck cuz I had the van parked right here. I got in the van and then I looked and seen the four-wheeler was gone.
You know what I'm saying? Oh yeah, I got you. I got you.
Today I'm in my pastor house because [music] somebody thought it'll be a good idea to come out here and steal his four-wheel on the day he retired. And where was that? Over here with his wagon.
Yeah. And they went through here with it. Yeah.
They Yeah. Went out through that. Now, if you ask me, this was the perfect setup for a beef because they didn't have to go out of his front yard to steal his four-wheeler.
I'm pretty sure they was able to stalk him for about a few days and plan to come out this back, which there's a road right there to where they could just load it up on the truck or whatever and just ride right out of here. But the unfortunate part about it all is he had a camera out here which didn't capture anything and your cameras ain't catch nothing. Man, that's crazy.
You know what I'm saying? Yeah, I know. It's crazy, [laughter] bro.
I don't I don't see I don't see how that happened. He has a camera right here. He also has a camera right there.
He has a camera up down the porch. Look like he also has a camera right here. Now, after some head scratching, we finally figured out why his cameras didn't record a single thing.
No, I know what I ain't have the card in there. SD card. Yeah.
For it to record. Then I ain't have it uh sent to the You know what is this? Is this the sky?
Yeah. Yeah. The the the solar panel.
No. Where they keep everything at? Oh, the cloud.
Yeah. Yeah. I got you a you ain't pay for the subscription that $10.
Yeah, if I had had it in the cloud, I could have pulled it up. I got you. Well, that's all I needed to know.
All right, [laughter] I'm going to take care of it, pastor. All right, man. All right, man.
He woke up that morning on his last day of work to surprise. What a retirement gift, right? [music] After hearing my pastor's alarming story and taking a closer look at his property, I began to get a clearer picture of why it was so easy for a thief to slip in under the cover of darkness and make off with his stuff.
For one thing, his property is wide open and seated next to a busy highway, giving everybody that passed by a clear line of sight into his backyard, making his valuables look more like free treasure. [music] In previous months, Pastor Raven tried to solve this problem with the construction of a large shed. But when a old back issue of his flared up, it put that project on hold permanently.
And there was little hope [music] left. So that's when I decided to step in. [music] So here's the plan.
I'm going to build him a solid fence around his entire property. I'm going to set him a workshop right over there. And by the time we done, nobody going to ever come over here and steal anything again.
But before I do anything, I got to first see what this delivery is. What my pastor don't know [music] is that for the last week, I've been prepping a very special surprise for delivery. It all started with a trip into town where I put my eyes on an expensive purchase that I made sight unseen.
Good morning, Erica. All right. With so much money on the line, I was just hoping I hadn't bought a [music] lemon.
The original price is 68. 45. Pretty close.
I plan to buy this item pre-built so I can have extra [music] time to fix it up without rushing, but the universe likes [snorts] to flip my plans upside down. So, I thought I had more time to come out and do this workout, but it looked like the lot owners want to deliver by Friday. So, I'm going have to get out here and put some work in.
I was expecting to have it delivered next Wednesday, which is going to give me more time. But anyway, here's the shed. Now, I could have just built my pasta shed, but I wanted to surprise him with a quick turnar around, so I [music] just bought him one instead.
and I decided to do a ton of upgrades on it right here in the lot before we deliver it to his house. I was able to get a good deal on it, too. They sold it to me for $3900.
And this is a 12x6. The only thing is I've never looked inside, so for the first time together, let's look inside and see how this thing looks. Now, this shed was a repossession, so I had my fingers crossed.
To my relief, it had pretty good bones, but it wasn't nothing fancy. I got two days to do this. Thought I had a week.
I figured wiring it for electricity was a good place to start. So, I hooked up with Angie and they sent out a professional that I can trust and it just so happened to be my good friend Bo, who you've probably seen help me on a few of my previous videos. Now, on this project, not only am I volunteering and paying for a lot of stuff, but also my friends at Angie decided to do the same.
And that's who sent Bo out. And just like all the other projects that I've done with Angie, they supplied all the material and covered all the cost for labor for this. And I know Bo, we good friends now.
So, I think it's time we start working together. I don't want to see him work by itself. In less than an hour, we was able to completely wire the whole shed.
And that just goes to show you when you don't know what you doing in a particular area, it's worth just hitting Angie up, getting the right person to come out and do the job right. And I'm not going to even lie y'all, when the day started, I was a little bit worried about what all I was going to be able to get done before Friday. But [music] with the electricity out the way, I was starting to feel a whole lot better.
We're not going to have no power out here, but it's going to be easy for us just to run the power from the house and light this whole thing up. Now, originally, this shed wasn't made to have any interior walls, no matter if it's sheetrock or like plywood. So, basically, what I'm doing right now is just adding a stud that just give me something to nail to.
There are [music] heat. [music] [music] [laughter] I guess I missed the measurement. It be all right, though.
I'll find a way to fix it. But anyway, y'all, the rest of the plywood went up really smooth. And like usual, I'm not going to show y'all a ton of this repetitive stuff.
I'm just going to go ahead and skip to the final result. I probably could have called it quits right here and pastor would have been thrilled, but I asked myself, what else would I do if this was my shed? And that's when I realized that I wasn't even halfway done, y'all.
See, I have this rule where I treat other people's stuff as if it's my own. So, sometimes it cost me a little more and sometimes it take me some extra time, [music] but at the end of the day, I feel like it's just the right thing to do. So, at first I was going to go with white trim, but I'm thinking I really like how this iron ore look by itself.
I believe that look really sleek right there on me. Would you want it to look like this? Of course you would want it to look like that with the sides, but the color.
Would you want it to look like that with the white trim or would you want it to look sleek like that? Y'all going to have to let me know. I had plans on coming back and painting it uh white on the trim, but this look really good.
Heat. Heat. [music] Back at Billy's house, the shed had finally arrived, but it arrived right as it was about to rain.
Our shed finally arrived. Let's get this thing on the ground. What's going on, Chris?
All right. Nice to meet you, bro. You, too, bro.
This why it's good to have connections, y'all. Bye you haulers. [music] Chris was doing a great job, but in my head I was just hoping that we got this thing in place before [music] the ground got too soft.
We got some heavy rain coming in. It's really starting to pick up right now. You know, I painted that whole thing in like 30 minutes.
Get that spray paint spray hug on. Oh yeah, man. So, what they doing right now is they using this form jack to just lift it up to make sure everything is stabilized.
That's something I thought I was going to have to do, but I forgot these guys go to people house that has no knowledge or no experience doing nothing like this. So they doing it right. I was worried about the rain, but the guys from Bayou Haulers didn't let [music] nothing stop [clears throat] them.
And Billy Ray shed was I'm not going to show y'all the inside of the shop yet because I got something special for y'all lined up at the end of this video. But we going to get to the fence this morning. I'm headed to Home Depot to get a mini skid steer.
That way I can make light work out of installing this fence today. It don't take me that long. Uh, I call for that mini skid steer out there.
I just want the small one that you staying on. I just need to dig a few holes. Sorry, but it looks like we don't actually have the skid steer.
There you go. So, I just drove 45 minutes to Home Depot and they told me they was holding a mini skid steer for me. I get here, they told me they don't have it.
Look like my only other option is another 32 miles away. Thank you for calling the Zachary Home Depot. Hey, I was just calling to see, do y'all have a mini skid steer?
Yeah, we got two available. Okay. I'm coming out of denim.

So, after driving another 40 minutes to get here, I've been waiting for 20 minutes now because they use this thing called clear. And before I can rent anything, I got to get clear by clear. But with the government shutdown going on, I like my wait time for clear around an hour.
Now you know I just called about that gift. This is the third location that has been unsuccessful. Something tells me that the universe do not want me digging these holes today.
Feeling defeated, I headed back to pastor's house empty-handed, but I was determined to get something done today. Look like I burnt a lot of time because Bo beat me here for the day. But it look like pastor couldn't wait.
He already got stuff in that shed. Let's go see what's going on. I'm cutting the wrong person away.
Telling you we got old I ain't no way. Now y'all, I had big plans for this shop, but it seemed that pastor had plans of his own. And I guess I can't stop a man from doing what he want to do in his own shop.
So, while Bo and Ray out here doing their thing, I'm going to start unloading all that fence material over there, lining it up where I'mma put it at, that way when I actually do get me a skid steer, I know where everything is going to go. But Bo and his guy made light work of tying the electricity from the shed into the house. And while they was doing that, I decided to go out and do my thing and start laying out some material to build a fence.
But after a good start, I switched gears and I decided to go inside the shed and help pastor put up some drywall. And I was able to get some help from a guy that was just standing around who just so happened to be my editor. And this was his first time on site.
But if I know him correctly, it's not his first time getting his hands dirty. [music] All right. So, I ain't going to lie, y'all.
I'm really satisfied with everything that I've been able to do so far. But it really got to me when I couldn't get that skill steel. I mean, I'm usually excited and ready to get to work.
That would make me want to turn around. But I still need a skid steer to finish the work at Pastor's house. And I don't feel like going through the same struggle of Home Depot.
So this I decided to purchase a little car. [music] My man, you you threw the trailer in there and everything, huh? I needed a trailer.
Appreciate it, man. Now, this is my man Statson from Premiere Machine. And over the last 24 hours, we became really good friends.
And I bought this skid steer from him, and he did me a good favor by delivering it directly to my house. How much a trailer like that cost? More expensive than what you promise.
I think we going to get some work done now, y'all. We ain't going to have no problems like that no more. [music] All right.
