>> Good morning. How's everybody doing this morning? >> All right.
I love the 8:30 service. You always come with the energy. Um my name is Ben Stokes.
I'm the associate pastor here at Harmony Hill. And whether you're in this uh room right now or joining us online, we are so glad uh that you are here this morning and that you are worshiping with us. It has been a really exciting last couple of Sundays and I hope that y'all have been able to be a part of what God is doing uh here uh at Harmony Hill.
as a couple weeks ago, we observed uh action awareness uh Sunday where we were reminded uh that every member of the body of Christ is indispensable. And then last week, we were able to uh commission the Chis family as they uh answer God's call on their lives to take the gospel to uh Thailand. and actually, they will be leaving today.
Uh so continue to be praying for them. And we're so excited for that family. And today Pastor Todd, he is returning to the pull pit or I mean his table rather.
Um he will be with us this morning and uh he will be concluding his series when God paints a picture and um I have enjoyed that series uh just seeing the powerful picture that God brings us in his word and how they lead and guide us. Before we uh continue in worship or begin worship, I did want to make one announcement. Today is um the day where we will have our family splash kingdom family splash kingdom day.
And uh if you have not signed up for that and you still want to, there is a table in the lobby and uh you can just stop by there and we will get you fixed up. Now I do want to address one small misconception about this event. As I have heard, you don't have to have kids to come and have fun.
All right? Because this isn't just a family day. This is a church family day.
And so if you've ever wanted to float down a lazy river or race Pastor Todd down a water slide or see someone just randomly get clocked by a gigantic tipping bucket of water. That's entertaining, too. We would love to see you there.
It's for all ages. So, I want to encourage everyone to come on and join. It's going to be a lot of fun at Splash Kingdom in Nakadooas.
And that again, that is from 6:30 to 8:30 this evening. So, we look forward to seeing you all there. All right.
Um, I just want to encourage y'all to prepare yourself for worship this morning. Um, that we we all come in here with distractions and things that are on our mind, but I've just been praying that uh we are expecting God to show up that we might hear God's word this morning and be doers of his word and see God glorified in his lives. Again, welcome to service and I look forward to what God is going to do uh in and through us this morning.
Amen. >> Good morning. >> Didn't know we were next.
I was caught off guard. I was waiting on a video to start. So, well, good morning.
We're glad to have you. And today we're going to do things just a little bit differently. So, um, put your seat belt on and, uh, get ready to clap.
You can raise your hands today. Uh, I know we're all Baptist, but that's okay. You can still do that.
And so, uh, we're just going to go back a little bit before, um, let's just say the 1970s and sing a few old old stuff. Okay. So, uh, Stacy's not here today, so he can't tell me no.
So, h, he said he was watching today. Anyway, so let's stand and let's get ready to sing. We're going to start off with When the Morning Comes.
Y'all ready? By and by, when the morning comes, when all the saints of God are gatherred home, we will Tell the story how we've overcome and will understand it better and by and by when the morning comes. Come on, tell the saints of God.
Together we will tell the story how we've overcome and we'll understand it better by and by. Trials dark. Trials dark on every hand and we cannot understand all the ways that God could lead us to that blessed promised land.
But he'll guide us with his eye and we'll follow till we die. And we'll understand it by and sing it out. By and by, when the morning comes, when all the saints of God are gathered home, we will tell the story how we've overcome.
And we'll understand it by and by. Disappointments have prevailed and we wondered in this dark. Heavyhearted alone.
Heavyhearted hand alone. But we're trusting in the Lord and according to his word and we'll understand it better by and by and by when the morning comes with all the saints of God. We will tell the story how we've overcome and we'll understand it better by and by and by when the morning comes with all the saints of God.

All of these songs we're singing today is about the walk that each of us have every single day with Jesus. how every time we come along the way and there's a little trouble, there's a little snag, it's kind of like that old song we sang back in the 80s.
We turn around and we look back down the path and we only see one set of footprints, right? And then we ask, "Where were you at, God? " And that's when he turns around and he looks at us and he says, "Son, that's when I was picking you up and carrying you along the way.
That's why there's only one. " He's gives us the victory. He walks with us every step of the way.
And one of these days, we're all going to understand it better by and by. You're going to look back now. Or maybe we won't.
At that point, maybe we don't care. >> Amen. I'm not sure I'm going to.
But if we have the opportunity, we're going to look back and we're going to say, you know what? God had it all alone. every single step.
So, victory in Jesus. Let's sing the last verse because I interrupted the whole song. >> I heard about a mansion he has built for me in glory.
