Vexed: PART 7 | Defining a Deaf and Dumb Spirit | Part One

[Music] so today is part seven and I'm dealing with defining a diff and dumb Spirit I'm going to read my anchor scripture that I read every week it's just one verse it's chapter 16 of verse chapter 5 uh verse 16 of chapter 5 of the book of Acts and this is the King James version it said There came also a multitude out of the Cities roundabout under Jerusalem bringing sick folks and them which were vexed with unclean spirits and they were healed everyone so today I'm going to deal with this deaf and dumb spirit and

I'm going to talk about it in the natural what it really is but I'm also going to correlate it into a spiritual deaf and dumb Spirit spiritual now everybody look at me before I let you be seated say this out loud with me there's a difference there difference between the soul between the soul and the spirit and the spirit okay now with that said here's what happens a lot of times people get all messed up emotionally and that always has to do with the soul but one thing we're not trained to recognize and one thing

we're not trained to be able to pick out is when somebody's Spirit has been damaged their human Spirit not the Holy Spirit but their human Spirit has been put in a stuper at an early age and they hadn't recovered from it so we're used to dealing with the body and we're used to dealing with the soul but today I want to talk about the spirit so I'm going to let you be seated and we're going to get started let me go through this quickly today I'm not going to take a lot of time with this

but I want to cover functions of demonic spirits what they do this is not a complete listing I'm sure but I have quite a few listed here so function of demonic spirits number one demonic spirits are invisible so you can't see them if a person has demons they still weigh the same if they weigh 200 lb when they had demons when the Lord cast them out they still still weigh 200 lb they're demons are spirits they normally cannot be perceived with human eyes you can't see them but you recognize their presence and their activity in

the the same way we recognize the presence of wind wind we have signs of the wind I've never seen the wind but I've seen certainly the results of wind damage I've seen the results of trees bowing over in heavy straight line winds I've seen trees uprooted by winds I've seen roofs blown off shingles blown off I've seen a lot of damage done by wind but I've never seen wind demonic activity has a number of definable recognizable symptoms and number one is demons entice number one demons entice it's like if you find some a wallet and

and it's full of money and you pick up that wallet and you look through there and you see8 10 12 $100 bills you hear a voice and that voice says keep it nobody will ever know if it was yours somebody would keep yours and so demons entice and if you ever hear a voice it don't mean you're demon possessed by any means but if you ever hear a voice speaking to you like that it's always demonic enticing you to do the wrong thing and let me say this if there's a voice there's a personality behind

that voice you listening to me there'll be no voice if there's not a person personality and they're usually demonic so we hear a voice in our head that says keep it nobody will ever know that voice is enticing you it's not the voice of the holy spirit it's another voice and Satan when he entices he's out to break down your defenses he's out to muddy up your conscience and he's setting you up for the next step of assault if he can get you and entice you into this then he's going to set you up for

something more so the best thing to do is give no place to the devil at all are you listening to me the second thing is demons torture and I can't help but go back and read the scripture one more time because this has to do with unforgiveness and I I just have to read it again because I think unforgiveness is one of the most common sins and one of the most common areas where demons traffic in Christians lives is in the area of unforgiveness I'm going to read you this passage one more time just look

at it on the screen listen to it therefore Jesus said the Kingdom of Heaven is likened unto a certain King which would take account of his servants and when he had begun to reckon one was brought unto him and owed him 10,000 talents and that was like like $32 million H but as much as he had not to pay his Lord commanded that he be sold his wife his children and all that he had and payment be made and he the servant fell down and he worshiped that Lord his King and he said oh please

have patience with me and I'll pay you everything and the Lord of that servant was moved with compassion and loosed him and forgave the debt but the same servant went out and found one of his fellow servants which owed him 100 Pence and laid hands on him and took him by the throat and he said pay what you owe me and his fellow servant fell down at his feet and besought him just like he did the king and he said have patience with me I'll pay you everything but he wouldn't do it he went out

and cast him into prison until he would pay the debt so when his fellow servants saw what was done they were very sorrowful they felt sorry for that man they came and told unto their lord the king all that was done and then the Lord after he had called him said unto him you Wicked Man Wicked I forgave you all your debt because you desired me to and you should have had compassion on your fellow servant even as I had pity on you and his Lord was wroth and delivered him to the tormenters oh okay

now wait a minute the king was wroth and delivered him to the tormentors till he should pay all that was due unto him so likewise Jesus said this Jesus is telling the story Jesus is saying that in the natural but now he saying listen to what he said about his father he said but likewise my heavenly father is going to do to you if you don't forgive everyone his brother their P trespasses he said if you forgive men their trespasses your heavenly father will also forgive you but if you will not forgive men their trespasses

neither will your father forgive your trespasses but let's go back to what Jesus said in verse 34 it says his Lord was wroth and delivered him to the tormenters and then Jesus ends the story up by saying my heavenly father is going to do this to you if from your heart you don't forgive everyone and he said everyone so one of the main things that demons do is they torture how do they torture a lot of times it's physical torment when you don't do what you're supposed to do and you carry unforgiveness you'll go through

physical ailments it will affect your diges system it will affect your nerves it'll affect your sleep it'll affect you in many ways maybe even arthritis but I'm not saying that arthritis is demons that's not what I'm saying I'm saying that when you Harbor unforgiveness and you lock that in it's going to affect your body it's going to affect your mind the next way that you'll experience torment is mental torment I would say a majority of people are tormented by fear and they have fears that constantly play on their minds because of unforgiveness they fear things

just a spirit of fear grips a hold of you when you don't forgive people and release them and be happy and be free and let everybody else be free now all of a sudden you got all kind of stuff going on mentally you got more stuff going on in there than you deal with and it's just like multiplying roaches in your mind just they're everywhere they constantly play on the mind some people are afraid of inheriting things that tormented previous family members some people are afraid of having to go through things that they know their

friends went through and they saw how they suffered and they're afraid they're going to get it blasphemy of the Holy Spirit there's a lot of people that are tormented with the fear that they blaspheme the Holy Spirit in my years of ministry I've only met a few people I could name them on one hand that really truly believe they blasphemed the Holy Spirit I had other people that thought that they may have but they got over it but these people never got over it and one guy was a young man and he's dead today he

he thought it he bought it hoot line of Sinker and he had not done it and I talked to him hours upon hours in several counseling sessions other people talked to him his wife talked to him but could not unconvince him that he had not blasphemed the Holy Spirit it never Rose to the level of blasphemy of the Holy Spirit it was not it never Rose to that level and some Christians are tormented that they've done something so bad that they'll never get forgiveness they think that they've committed the unpardonable sin and that's a lying

spirit is what that is it's a lying spirit and if you listen to it it sounds so much like it's true you got to realize something friend the devil can make something sound so true that's why you've got to study to show yourself appr proved unto God a Workman that need not be ashamed rightly dividing the word of Truth you got to know what your Bible says and number eight demons or number three demons compel the real word is compulsive demons make people compulsive you'll actually find that most compulsive people have demonic activity going on

in their life and they don't even know that that compulsiveness is usually demonic in origin you'll notice that people compulsively smoke they put out one cigarette light another one put out that cigarette light another one all day long four or five packs of cigarettes you'll also find that compulsive drinkers they drink more than they eat compulsive drinking it causes reaction in the body and the brain that opens up to a place of weakness where demons can traffic easily when a person goes into addictions like that it breaks down the resistance of the person it breaks

down their willpower and demons can traffic easily even to the point of killing them you say Pastor can demons kill people yes Jesus said the enemy come forth to steal kill and destroy if you don't think demons can kill look at people that drink and drive come on now y'all help me I said look at people that drink and drive look at that look at people that's hooked on drugs and they're taking these pills now that's coming across the border from China and through Mexico and it's killing thousands of people in America every year because

they were drug addicts and they're taking these pills and they're dying it's like taking death in a pill the devil is out to steal kill and to destroy there's many things about compulsive people are compulsive talkers I have never met a compulsive talker that didn't get themselves in trouble James made the statement If any man among you seems to be religious and bridles not his tongue he deceives his own heart and his religion is not working it's in vain in in other words if you're going to have a testimony and you're going to have a

close walk with God you've got to control your mouth and not be a compulsive talker here's what I've noticed there's people that when they compulsively talk talk talk talk talk talk talk talk it usually winds up in form some form of sin gossip criticism or character assassination and they're talking and they found somebody to listen and they both usually are compulsive talkers and they can't just compulsively talk about things it degenerates while they're talking and there's a demonic spirit that gets involved with it are you listening to me number four demons enslave what are you

a slave to it's the thing that you say you'll never do again after you do it and you say I'll never do that again but you're drawn away by Temptation and you continue in it and you become enslaved by it and I could name some things but that's not my purpose you know what I'm talking about I don't have to get off on a tangent and start naming things you know what I'm talking about you continue doing what you promised you would never do again and you're doing it and you said I'll never do it

again I promise I'll never do it and you do it you're enslaved to it you hate that sin you don't want to talk about it you're embarrassed about it but you constantly go back to it it's got a hold on you and it's taking away your self-confidence is hurting your testimony even though other people don't know about it but you know about it and you've lost a lot of your confidence listen when you're talking about the Lord you've got to be Resolute you've got to be sold on what you're saying there has to be an

anointing upon you to talk about things and whenever you're enslaved by sin you may talk the talk but there's no o to it demons cause addictions demons are like branches on a tree they sprout other branches usually if a person has an addictive compulsive personality that one addiction that they are involved in may be young even real young if they continue on in that addiction Satan's desire and Satan's motive is not to keep you just in that one addiction but to Branch it out and to get you in other addictions and I won't go there

I'd like to talk about a lot of different things but there's even people that hoard and they put up things and hoarde that when you go to their house you can't even walk through the hallways there bedrooms there's people that have so many pets I can see having a dog or two I can't see having any cats whatsoever no no cats no I can't say that that's demonic right there no I'm kidding but there's people that they hoard things in their house and you can't even walk down the hallway it's just their mind it makes

you wonder where their mind's at what's going on that's how many of you know it's not natural and I'm not saying they're demon possessed I'm saying they're vexed something going on that they feel like they can't live without that piece of trash and then pet addictions it's one thing to have an animal it's one thing to have a pet that you love but the number of animals you can't turn down any Strays you can't turn down you you got so many cats so many dogs you got Geral listen I tell I'm not going down that

road but don't get me started amen and then the next thing is people are addicted to pornography and I could talk about a lot of things and but I can't really talk about this without mentioning pornography for this reason con pornography constantly demands it enslaves you and it constantly demands you by the time you get a sexual release through masturbation or something like that and as soon as that's over and your body builds back up hormones again that same enslavement is going to send you right back to websites to get rid of that again and

after a while it's to where you can't get rid of it normally the way God said to get rid of it now you're addicted and you're enslaved by it y'all listening to me and it'll destroy your marriage it'll destroy your marriage where your wife won't want anything to do with you at all because you're wanting to do things that she just is not going to do your wife is your wife not a prostitute and it will eventually destroy your soul it'll pull you down into hell there's no doubt about it it's enslavement and then there's

people that's addicted to the worldwide web people have become addicts to the internet I don't know if you've noticed or not but you can't go anywhere today even on the roads people are texting while they drive now me I don't do that [Applause] people have become addicts and and there's young people that if you take their phone away they don't even know what to do with themselves they don't even know how to behave they feel so restricted they suffer withdrawal and they lose control if they can't have access to it and it causes plummeting job

performance perment also other addictions sniffing things that's not normal it's demonic in origin it's not possession but it is vexation sniffing nail polish glue spray pain other harmful substances cigarettes are intentionally advertised to get you addicted they know cigarettes cause cancer but they can't do without thatone money they advertise them knowing that if you smoke you're going to get addicted I don't know if you have seen it like I have seen it but there's a lot of Christians that's come to me through the years they love the lord they're ready to move on with their

life they're ready to get deeper in the things of God they want to lay those cigarettes down and they try their very best and they they start shaking like that to get another cigarette that's enslavement it's enslavement and I'm not saying it'll send you to hell cuz I don't know I can't answer that question I really can't but I know that they want to get rid of it but they're enslaved by it and also there's people that have other things like that now number six demons defile what they do is they defile they're called unclean

spirits the Bible said that Jesus called the unclean Spirit out of them it causes our minds our thoughts and our imaginations to think impure images it's defilement the mind has been defiled and this can especially happen when you're trying to worship you're in church and you're trying to worship and impure images come up in your mind it's an affront that Satan uses to replay certain images that you've been watching while you're trying to worship it's a war and that Warfare happens while you're trying to worship it's defiled you've been defiled by that thing and um

another area of defilement is mouth speech there's some people that love the Lord but they have been involved in this so long they just curse a blue Street their language has been that way for so long that they just curse all the time and I'm talking about really cursing and the thing that really popular today especially with young people is the fword everything is the f word you may sit out there and you may think well that preacher is old fogy no this preacher is trying to help you get delivered I'm not yeah and many

cannot hold a conversation without the use of four-letter words profane words obscene words especially the FW word and God by his holy spirit can set you free from that defiling Spirit you believe that say amen amen when God Saves you and cleans you up he can clean you up only the Holy Spirit can do that though you can't clean yourself up how many of you knows we can't save oursel we can't clean oursel up we need a savior amen number seven demons number seven def deceive now the spirit speaking expressly that in the latter times

some shall depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils the Bible says in chapter 4 verse one in the NIV the spirit clearly says in the last time some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons there are people enticed out of sound biblical passages of scripture under a man of God woman of God and they're being seduced into era they're being seduced into another Jesus another gospel and another spirit it's a seduction it looks so much like the real you'd have to know the difference

to realize it's a counterfeit these people are enticed out of sound biblical faith into a world that's active with error and lying and seducing Spirits this is I believe the S single greatest danger that Christians face in our time is seducing spirits and deception when they asked Jesus what should be this the sign the sign of your coming he mentioned a list of signs but the only one that he mentioned more than once was deception and he mentioned it three times and I believe that he was telling us there that deception is going to be

the most serious thing you're going to contend with in the end of the age because it's going to be so thick and so believable and the Bible said if it were possible the very elect that means Spirit-filled Believers evangelicals that's really going after God people that really want to serve God honor God worship God if they said the very elect would be deceived now since I covered those things I want to get right into deaf and dumb spirit and I'm going to spend the rest of my time on this I've covered a spirit of bondage

and I've covered a spirit of fear and I've covered the spirit of error and a lying spirit so today I'm dealing with a de and dumb Spirit In The Book of Mark 7: 31-37 King James version it said again departing from the coast of tyraniden he came to the the Sea of Galilee through the midst of the coast of decapolis and they bring unto him one that was deaf everybody say deaf and had an impediment in his speech please say this with me an impediment in his speech spech say it with me again please out

loud an impediment in speech okay number one he couldn't hear death number two he couldn't expl Express he couldn't receive expression he couldn't give expression he was a de mute have you ever seen a de mute they do sign language they can't talk they write they do sign language hoping you can understand them they're deaf mute they can't see or they can't hear and they can't speak so they brought one of these people to Jesus like this when he was on the earth Jesus took that boy aside from the multitude took him aside he didn't

want to make a spectacle everybody look this way please listen to me one of the things you got to understand and learn from the way Jesus dealt with Spirits is he takes them off privately because he knows that Devil's going to try to get some attention on he knows that Devil's going to really try to create a bunch of stuff and Jesus is not going to let him get that attention he took him off privately look look at this this is in your king King James version this is so interesting look at it it's in

your King James version he took him from the multitude put his fingers in his ears and he spit and touch that boy's tongue why did Jesus spit who cares he can spit on me spit use his spit touch who just touch me Jesus and and the Bible says that when Jesus healed the Man's eyes that was blind he spit and made spittle and put it on the Man's eyes now somebody might say well what does that mean I don't care what it means it means he spit and he touched the boy's tongue and here's what

it said his tongue was loosed wait a minute now let's look at this what does that mean his tongue was loosed it means he was bound something can't be loosed unless it's bound he was loosed and he spake plain when God does something he does it right can't you imagine having a child that's never talked and Mom and Daddy's there and Jesus puts his fingers in the boy's ears pulls them out put spit on the boy's tongue and now the boy said hi Mom it's good to see you hi Dad that's what he did see

on that's what Jesus does he makes all things he does all things well he does all things well oh glory to God I said he does all things well he's not halfhazard I said God's not halfhazard he does all things well and he said be made every Whit hole when he says be made every wh hole it means start talking son you don't have to start doing that baby language and go through a year training and speech therap just come well good his tongue was loose and he PL pain and he charged them that they

should tell no man but the more he charged them they began to publish it the more he said sh no no no don't don't and the Bible said the more he told him not to tell it the more the the louder they got just like a bunch of Pentecostal people and they were beyond measure astonished it says people were beyond measure astonished you know what that means beyond measure astonished it means they were beside themselves to see this man and they knew this boy see when you're raised up like that you're not a jet Setter

back in that time everybody knows everybody and they knew this boy Jesus takes him off puts his fingers in his ears spits on his tongue and now the boy's talking it's like they were astonished it's like oh my goodness who is this man and it said they were beyond measure astonished saying this man has done all things well he makes both the DEA to hear and the dumb to speak well look at that how many of you knows that's the Jesus that we serve that's the Jesus go ahead it's all right go ahead now let's

look at Mark chapter 9:17 one of the multitude answered said master I brought unto thee my son which has a dumb Spirit he was dumb couldn't talk too see his boy was dumb that was quite common it's even common today especially in big cities you'll see him he has a dumb Spirit called it a spirit this man said my son's got a spirit and it makes him dumb and wheresoever he takes him he tears him and he Foams and nashes with his teeth he Pines away in other words he's depressed he Pines away he's in

depression and I spake to your disciples that they should cast him out and they couldn't do it and he answered and said oh faithless generation how long shall I be with you how long shall I suffer you bring him to me they brought him unto him and when he saw him straight way the spirit tore him you know why when Jesus saw him and laid eyes on that boy and the spirit was tearing him that Spirit knows I got to come out now let me tell you something something about things like this whenever the devil

kicks up he's kicking up for a reason he knows things are about to change I said he knows things are about to change if you're praying for a husband and he's getting worse it means the devil's really kicking up because he knows he's losing his grip on him your prayers are working if you're praying for your ministry and it looks like your ministry is going to tear all to pieces it looks like it's getting worse hang on Victory is right at the door and he said he had a dumb spirit and he takes him and

tears him and he Foams and nashes with his teeth Pines away and I and and Jesus said well bring him here how long shall I suffer they brought him unto Jesus and when he saw him straightway the spirit tear him he fell on the ground and walled foaming foaming at the mouth and he asked his father how long has this been going on and he said since he was a child you remember when I first started the series I told you that many times people are vexed and demonic spirits enter when people are children I'm

not trying to tell you that to convince you of that I've given you more than ample proof to show that that's the case so I'm not trying to convince you of anything I've given you ample proof that's the case even all the way back into the womb and it says the boy the boy's father said this thing often casts him into the fire and into the waters to destroy him in other words he's trying to get the boy to commit suicide he's trying to kill him he's trying to kill the boy and the man said

if you can do anything oh sir you need to back up you need to realize who you're talking to you're talking to God how many of you knows all things are possible with God nothing is impossible to him that believes and he said if you can do anything and then Jesus turned it right back on him he said if you can believe all things are possible if you can believe and straightway the father of the child cried out and said with tears Lord I believe help my unbelief and when Jesus saw the people came running

together see let me let me stop and give you a picture now let me f the picture in for you Jesus the man's telling Jesus about this boy while the man's telling Jesus about the boy the devil's having a hey day where the boy throwing him in the ground he's foaming at the mouth he's tearing him while Jesus is talking to the daddy and now all of a sudden the devil's got some attention so people come running over here oh my God what's going on so Jesus sees this the people came running and Jesus immediately

rebuked that foul spirit and said deaf and dumb spirit I charge you come out of him and never enter into him again boy that's a pretty powerful consummation there he said I command you to come out of him and don't you ever go back in that boy again he not only delivered him but he sealed him with the Holy Ghost I said he sealed him with the Holy Ghost and the spirit cried and rent him sore and came out of him and he was left in the dirt there on the ground like a dead boy

in so much that many said he is dead Jesus took him by the hand lifted him up and he arose and when he was com into the house his disciples asked him how come we couldn't cast him out and Jesus gives us real Revelation he says well you know this kind only comes out through prayer and fasting real Revelation it was a strong possession that was a possession that was not a vexation that was a possession he was devil possessed so look at the look at the symptoms of this child fits convulsive motions of the

muscles loss of consciousness and it was so evident even the Father the boy's own father had already determined and deducted it's a spirit a spirit takes takes him and seizes him and then in Mark chapter 9:17 and 18 this is revised standard version one of the crowd answered and said teacher I brought my son to you for he is a dumb spirit and whenever it seizes him it dashes him down he Foams grinds his teeth and becomes rigid and I ask your disciples to cast him out but they W aable several things here that the

other passage didn't mention it said the spirit seizes him dashes him down he Foams grinds his teeth and becomes rigid and then in Matthew 12 and: 22 it said they brought into him one possessed with a devil blind blind now here's one that's blind and dumb this one don't want just have a speech mutation this one's blind and dumb and the Bible said he healed him in so much that the Blind and the dumb both spake and saw let me just pause there for a moment do demonic spirits go after speech I don't know how

demonic spirits knows when a child's born I don't know how they know they're because they're not omnicient but they know somehow when a when a child's born they know that that child has got vocal capabilities and they can be very effective for the kingdom vocally PA Roberts Benny H others I've known other people that's wrestled with speech issues and demonic spirits can cause hearing issues and they can cause sight issues sight issues and I want to examine some manifestations of a DEA and dumb spirit I want you to listen to these carefully these are man

manifestations of a deaf and dumb Spirit they're not Spirits themselves but they're manifestations of that one Spirit listen carefully dumb doesn't mean stupid it means not being able to fully respond now look look listen to me closely everybody I want you to really hear this point because a lot of this stuff won't make sense unless you hear this point now you got to remember I'm not talking about a solish issue here I'm I'm talking about a spirit issue not a spiritual issue it's not a spiritual issue it's a human Spirit issue a spiritual issue means

you got spiritual problems and you can counsel those and that kind of stuff but a spirit issue a human Spirit Your Body Soul Spirit we're talking about that Spirit we're talking about manifestations of a deaf and dumb Spirit that's affecting a person physically and in their Spirit their human spirit so let me give you these real quick and I'm going to come back and give you a different slant on everything here's some manifestations and symptoms of a deaf and dumb Spirit it means dumbness not not stupid just dumbness mental illness some forms of mental illness

lunacy schizophrenia insanity and mad Ness epilepsy some forms of epilepsy not all convulsions tearing seizures foaming at the mouth pining away motionless stuper nashing gritting of the teeth Suicidal Tendencies burning drowning prostration compulsions muteness blindness and many eye diseases that's not caused from natural aging process I want to talk about the human spirit and I want to talk about a deaf and dumb Spirit past the physical manifestations of a DEA and dumb Spirit we've already established that we know what that is we know what it looks like I showed it to you in the scriptures

we reinforced it now I want to take you and show you how this affects a person Spirit how deaf and dumb p a deaf and dumb Spirit affects a person's Spirit now there's many things that the devil will do and try to do to a young person or a child when they're real young to hit them so hard that it goes they go into a stuper their soul survives but their Spirit has been thrown into a stuper like almost almost like a trance but you're still able to maneuver it's just a lick it could be

a rejection it could be an abandonment it could be a sudden tragedy it could be somebody that you really leaned on and needed in your life so desperately did you so bad that it just it threw you into a stoer spiritually and your spirit male and female and Satan has attacked people not just children and young people but people in general they're alive and they are aware but they're not really aware they are awake but not really awake their spirit is messed up they are void empty and lifeless and they function but that's all they're

really able to do is just function they can dress themselves they can even hold down a job they can drive but almost almost almost dysfunctional these people do not have an alert and a functioning human Spirit their own personal spirit is not really awake now let me just stop right here and say this I'm be getting into this but what they need is the spirit of Resurrection to call them forth when Lazarus was in the Tomb Jesus stood out there and he said I am the resurrection he called him to life there's many millions of

people alive today and many of them are in the church many of them are in marriages many of them are in leadership positions and their spirit is in such a stuper it's going to take a spirit of Resurrection to get them back to where they need to be but only Jesus can do that can you shout amen okay so look here they are alive and they are aware but they're not really aware they are awake but they're not really awake they are empty they are lifeless and they just function they're just there in Corinthians it

says whom the god of the World hath blinded the minds of them which believe not lest the light of the Glorious gospel of Christ who is the image of God should shine unto them so look here if the devil can blind the minds now listen if the devil can blind the minds of unbelievers he can actually the Bible says he can do it he can blind the minds of unbelievers that's why we have got to get the church back to the realization that whenever you pray get your mind off of yourself there's so much to

pray about quit praying about just you and your four and no more there's all kind of things to pray about and if the devil can blind the minds of unbelievers you got to start thinking about the people that you think the devil has blinded their mind and get that hell off of them and when we preach listen when we preach we've got to preach with enough anointing and power that it breaks that off of them in Jesus name so listen to this these people don't have an alert and a functioning human Spirit their own personal

spirit is in Slumber their spirit is in prison and their soul is barely getting them by their soul is functioning because the soul is in the mind and the will and the emotions but the spirit the human Spirit without the anointing of the Holy Spirit without being made alive and Born Again by aorn want get experience their human Spirit they're damaged man they're damaged so Jesus came when the Bible said that Jesus came to set the captives free and to set the prisoners free I don't ever remember reading where Jesus went to the prison and

set any prisoners free he's not talking about prisoners in a prison house he's talking about I've come to set the prisoner free those that the devil is incarcerated those that the devil is put in captivity I have come to set them free oh Hallelujah those that the sun sets free is free indeed only Jesus I said only Jesus can do [Applause] that so let me talk to you a little bit about two things maybe real quick the first function that the Bible tells us of the spirit the human Spirit Jesus talked about it in John

4 he said the hour comes and now is when the true worshipper shall worship the father in spirit and in truth for the father seeks such to worship Him how in spirit God is a spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in their spirit and in truth so let me tell you what an awake person enjoys when they worship God when they worship God a person that has a healthy human spirit and they haven't been damaged a healthy person when they come into a a powerful church service they seem alive tears rolling hands

up in the air I've seen their hands doing like this and they're refreshed by the Holy Spirit Joy welds up love welds up in in the Book of Luke 1 the Bible says this about Jesus mother Mary it said she made this Proclamation my soul my soul my mind my will and my emotions my soul does magnify the Lord and my spirit she said my spirit she's talking about her soul and her spirit she said my spirit rejoices in God my savior so she said my soul magnifies the Lord that's the emotions and the mind

and the will but she said my spirit rejoices so when people that have a healthy human Spirit comes into a powerful church service they Rejoice there's clapping there's people lifting their voice and they're alive and they're happy and Oh Glory to God and they're speaking in tongues and oh my goodness this is wonderful a person with an imprisoned spirit that has a spiritual deaf and dumb Spirit they say I don't know what you're talking about I don't feel a thing what what's everybody so excited about I don't feel a thing I never feel anything I

never feel anything I don't know what y'all talking about what you making all this big deal and so many are bound so bound that their spirit is almost non-existent they don't understand Spirit things like that they're saved many of them are saved and they've asked the Lord to forgive them and the lord loves them but they haven't been freed they haven't been delivered of that spiritual de and dumb thing in regard to their Spirit they can't receive communication and they can't give communication they can't really praise the Lord like they want to it's like they're

their tongue is bound and they can't really receive communication it's almost like I don't understand what the big deal is so the Bible says in Psalms 46 and I love this passage it says there is a river the streams whereof shall make glad the city of our God the holy place of the Tabernacles of the most high you see that it says there is a river the streams make glad the city of God in other words what Spirit does when the Holy Spirit comes is it touches your spirit and makes you glad it's a normal

byproduct of worship you're glad you feel so refreshed by that worship a person with a human spirit that has a deaf and dumb spirit in their human Spirit they can't receive it and they can't give it but they love the Lord you say how do you know that P I've seen thousands of them and I'm glad I'm finally able to talk about it I wouldn't never build a message just off of this but now that I'm on all this y'all going to be stuck with some of this kind of stuff for a while number two

a a a human spirit that is healthy is fed by the word the second function of a healthy human spirit is that spirit is fed by the word Jesus said man shall not live by bread alone in other words a physical appetite but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God in other words it's Spirit word when reading the pages of scripture like whenever I read the Bible and I know you're the same way whenever I read the Bible my mind sees the words but my spirit is envisioning me enjoying what I'm reading

and experiencing what I'm reading where it said he shall set your feet at dancing I read that I can see my big old 13s dancing can't you see that I can and uh people with an imprisoned spirit will say I don't get anything out of my devotions and and and my devotions are so dry and boring and I used to have one with my family but it's just so boring uh you know I go to sleep I I doze back off I never feel anything I never get anything I never get anything and they read

the same thing over and over but it's just empty job says this and I love this passage I love this passage Job 32 and8 there is a spirit in man and the inspiration of the almighty gives him understanding oh that is so good let's stop right there for a minute this is in job look what it said there is a spirit in man not the Holy Spirit a human Spirit and the spirit of God the almighty gives that human Spirit understanding but see when your spirit is almost dead and it's so in a stuper and

it you can't communicate hardly and you can't hardly receive communication can't hardly give communication it's like it's just making a big a do out of nothing and they read the Bible and it almost reads like a series and Road book catalog and it's like okay well I know I need to read the Bible but I don't know what the big deal is look at this this is revised Standard Version said the unspiritual man does not receive the gifts of the Spirit of God for they are Folly to him and he's not able to understand them

because they are spiritually discerned it's Folly to him because they have to be spiritually discerned that human Spirit needs to be healthy listen the devil knows exactly ly how to hit a person especially when they're young to throw their Spirit into a stuper and just leave enough of it alive to function I don't know about you but I don't want to just function mentally I want to function in the spirit and I want to hear what God says I want to be able to talk to God and hear from God somebody shout amen so compreh

Rion just does not come from the intellect let me say that again comprehension does not only come just from the intellect or from Brilliance but job says it comes from the spirit so let me just cover this real quickly and I'm going to end when I cover this one when reading the pages of the Bible thoughts and images should come into your mind when you're reading the Bible so if you're reading about this boy that I've been preaching about and he's got that deaf and dumb Spirit while I'm preaching see we're there see the Bible

picked us up and carried us to the Holy Land and we can see Jesus there see you know why because your spirit's alive it has imagination it can see images you can hear you hear my voice we're reading it we went to the Holy Land didn't even break a sweat didn't even have to buy an airline ticket but we went to the Holy Land we saw Jesus spit and the boy's cord of his tongue was loose and we saw it why because our imagination our spirit has an imagination we saw it it's like oh boy

wasn't that wonderful yeah it's because your spirit's alive other people would hear me preach that and they'd get up and go to the bathroom right in the best part of it they get up and sort of meander down the aisle I'll be back them minute Myrtle you know and they man Meander down the aisle go to the bathroom look around a little bit outside you know I want L I heard it thundering a while ago and they come back in and whatever else I'm preaching it just didn't make that much difference come on you know
