what up pandu speeder Panda here I bought myself a battery and charger but it's solar and it's orange and I got this one from abson abson ABS one I don't know uh you know it wasn't expensive and for as much battery as presumably it advertises I think uh it's kind of a good deal so 20 bucks um and it comes with a micro USB cable for charging the battery as well as probably out charging to something else and here is the device now the cool thing about it is you know one of my old favorite
battery chargers was um oh I can't even remember what it was called now but uh they went out of business man I mean it's just part of the problem of you know companies being Innovative and it had a solar panel and you know it was a nice size battery this one's 10,000 milliamp and and uh what turned me on about it is hey there's a company in business still doing it and I'm just looking at it and I'm telling you right now 10,000 milliamps is a pretty nice size battery it's it's relatively decent sized it's
actually kind of like my iPhone 7 but maybe like two or three of them thick it seems like a pretty ruggedized case the the black is hard plastic and all the Orange is like uh orange silicone so all this is soft grippy and spongy like uh some texturing stippling there and then the power button on this side and then it says USB here and it looks like maybe this is a hinged cover right there um but it looks like it has a lot of outdoor features so there looks there appears to be two USB out
ports here uh the micro USB port right there to plug it in it also has this little tiny um aluminum Carabiner attached right there so you can clip it to your pack or whatever and then two lights on this side kind of looks like glasses like a minion and uh some stippling in in on the back here and then also a compass uh now which is interesting because electricity and Compasses usually don't um aren't good bed fellows but this seems to work North is that direction it's a little hard to get it even to flow
but I'm sure you could figure out you could kind of fine-tune that when you're out somewhere in the wilderness but that's generally the right direction there so it's just kind of nice to have that and it's nice that everything seals up here pretty well there is also so a little bit of it seems like a kind of a reinforced glass like plastic glass over what looks to be like crystallin solar cells to me um you can see it's kind of like a matte finish and uh that kind of gives me some hope that it's relatively
impact resistant and you can see there you know under the the the bright fluorescent lights of the uh Panda Research Institute here it appears to be charging if I were to cover all this up wow boom goes away so I guess what I'm assuming it's it's telling me here is that the blue lights are telling me how much of the battery is charged so each light is probably 25% so it's probably saying it's 75% and it's charging that last 25% currently and that green light is telling me that it is receiving power from the Sun
so the cool thing is you go on a trip you go out uh Into the Wilderness you charge this bad boy up you need it you don't whatever you charge up your phone great but even if you discharge it completely you can you know put it in the sunlight clip it to your backpack uh keep grabbing some sun so if you're an outdoors person I think that's going to be pretty nice now the last thing I wanted to do here is because it's at least it indicates that it's charged and um the the flashlight should
work and if I can find the power button the power button's down here and if I hit it I don't know uh how I turned anything on okay so if I hold it down I get both these lights on and that's kind of crazy they're they're they're kind of stupid bright dude that is a lot of light and it's kind of cool I mean it's not just like a single LED that uh you know on a keychain light this is that's pretty that's some pretty serious brightness and if I tap it once oh if I
tap it once it goes to a SOS if I tap it one more time it goes to a strobe tap it a third time it turns off so uh keep that in mind now let's go ahead I know we're getting a little bit of charging off the lights here but if I go ahead and plug this in this is just a standard apple lightning cable and I have my iPad Mini here so go plug oh look at that boom charging sure is indicating that it's charging not only is it does it work and charge my
iPad and is pushing out enough uh juice at a high enough rate that it works uh but it's also looks like it's picking up some power from the lights as well and uh working that way too so uh all around pretty impressed with this little thing uh like I said it's only 20 bucks so you can um you can get quite a bit of features in this in a nice portable rugged package for a pretty good deal put a link to it in the description if you want to pick one up Peter Von panda out
