malicious but we just didn't understand one thing that freaked us out was that he would often watch us as we played in the front yard in hindsight that turned out to be our Saving Grace One Summer morning when I was Eight my sister was four and Sammy was 15 she and I were out in the front yard as usual we were making tents for our American Girl dolls lost in our work we didn't notice the man with stringy whey hair watching us from the sidewalk you little girls having fun he asked we nodded silently stranger

danger firmly planted in our minds by that time what's her name he prodded pointing at my doll Molly Mister we have to go inside now I yank my sister up by the arm see you later he replied we ran into the house leading our dolls outside the man was all but forgotten after lunch when we went back out to play except Molly's clothes were missing I thought stupidly that maybe a squirrel had taken them when we heard someone clearing their throat behind us if it was the man and he had Molly's Clothes I need those

back please I said to which he replied come get them it wasn't smart to go up to him especially with my little sister in toe it really wasn't but I wanted my doll's clothes back of course the second we got close he grabbed both of us by the arms and started yanking pulling us toward the creek that ran on the other side of the street my little sister was screaming I was in shock and must have felt like a bag of cement and I clearly Remember thinking wow Mommy's going to be so sad when she

can't find us a great Lurch from behind threw the man off his feet he and my sister went down while I unsteadily held my ground spinning to see who it was it was Sammy and he was fuming he kicked the man greasing my sister in the process nobody touches My Girls He stuttered kicking the man again the guy took off running Sammy scooped my Wheeling sister up took my hand and Walked the two of us back to our house where my mother was frantically running onto the lawn having seen the end of the encounter the

man was never found Sammy passed away last year from a heart defect he had long suffered from there wasn't a dry in town why I never trust a clown before anything a little backstory I was 10 at the time in visiting my hometown Ecuador for the summer at that age I need just about Everyone in my small town alasi and so did my parents that's why they let me go out on my own that day anyway here's my encounter back when I was 10 years old my family decided to visit my hometown in Ecuador we

went from for the summer and plan out just about our whole stay one day my mom and dad were getting ready to attend a wedding and I was at the house with them my big sister had gone to a Friend's house and my other relatives had already left for the wedding I was supposed to stay home alone during their absence but I noticed it was a beautiful day and decided to ask my parents if I could go to a park that was no more than two blocks away they were reluctant at first saying there would

be nobody to Watch Over Me I argued that it was a lovely day and there was no way the park would be empty as they continued getting dressed I persisted until they finally gave in they said I could go to the park as long as I was back before dark I agreed and ran outside heading to the park it took me no more than 10 minutes to get there I was excited to make new friends and play around but oddly enough there was nobody else at the park it looked abandoned which was strange since it

was one of only two parks in the entire city it should have been packed but I didn't Think much of it I ran over to a swing set or maybe it was a slide it was 12 years ago so I can't remember exactly and started playing as I played I suddenly Heard a Voice from a distance a clown was standing on the other side of a gate motioning for me to come closer behind him was a white van that I had noticed earlier but assumed was just a delivery Truck I cautiously walked toward the clown

stopping a safe distance away he asked me in Spanish Hey kid do you like clowns I shook my head no he gave me a clown frown and said well let me see if I can change that he opened the van and inside I saw only two boxes I was was n sure what was inside but the rest of the van was empty no seats no posters just those two boxes and an eie EMP being a child I didn't think too Much of it and watched as he pulled out a deflated balloon he blew it up

tied the end and twisted it into a balloon animal shaped like a dog he showed it to me and I smiled then he motioned for me to come closer I hesitated but complied taking the balloon from him do you like it he asked I nodded yes this time giving him a small smile then he grinned a grin so creepy that even as a child I instinctively backed away the clown then Said If you want to see more tricks you'll have to get into the truck I told him the Park's exit was on the other side

and I couldn't climb over the gate that's when he said the words that still haunt me to this day get a little closer and I'll carry you over then we can have loads of fun in my truck come on kid he still had that Eerie grin plastered across his face I backed away and said no it's okay Sir his grin quickly turned into an angry scow and he placed his hands on his hips saying a but we were going to have so much fun just then I Heard a Voice from the other side of the

park y son son I'm here to pick you up I turned and saw a m I recognized as a local neighbor he wasn't my real father obviously but little me need to run to him I sprinted toward the man and hugged him Tightly the man waved to the clown and said thanks for keeping my kid entertained the clown replied no problem as we turned away I heard the man letter sick bastard I looked up at him and asked sir what's going on he sighed and explained everything that wasn't a real clown it was a man

who had been kidnapping children across Ecuador he would lure kids with the clown costume and take them to who knows Where people in the town had suspected he might come there which explained why the park was deserted the man said he happened to be walking by when he noticed me talking to the clown and rushed over to save me me as he explained he also called the police to report the incident when we arrived at my house the man told me be careful who you talk to son not everyone is who they seemen I gave

him one last hug and Thanked him for saving me from that creep he patted my head and said it's okay my boy now hurry inside I've got my own things to worry about I nodded and ran into the house nobody was home yet and when my family returned I decided not to tell them I knew they would freak out it took me a while to forget the incident especially with those haunting words replaying in my mind eventually I moved on until I came Across this page and all the memories came flooding back I don't know

what happened to that man but I hope he's behind bars now this happened to me two years ago it was my first month on the job and I work night security at a pretty interesting place for the record I still work there and have more strange stories I might share in the future I am a 30-year-old male and have worked security jobs most of my life Primarily the graveyard shift I was an event security guard for various well-known concert V news for years so I've seen my fair share of strange things and unusual people in

other words I don't scare easily and rarely go into panic mode when a crisis arises the place I currently work is a resort style apartment complex to give you the layout there are three floors of apartments with 50 units on each Floor this place takes up one city block with a golf course in the back indoor swimming pools hot tubs and even a small movie theater you name it this place has it most of the residents are retired doctors lawyers or otherwise wealthy individuals there are some younger people as well stock Brokers real estate agents

and so on some only use their Apartments during the summer and leave as soon as the snow falls it's located in a well-known tourist town in the United States the building itself has 12 egg exits on the first floor the doors are locked at 11:00 p.m. you can exit but you can't get back in unless you go to the front of the building and ask to be buzzed in or use the call box phone next to whatever exit you're at the call box Rings the company's cell phone and I can answer it and come let

you in the front lobby is set up much like a hotel with sliding glass doors that I lock while I Start my shift in the middle of the building on the first floor there are two two large sliding doors leading to the private parking lot which I also lock the parking lot itself is gated requiring a code to enter it was Midsummer and while it's never really hot here tonight was an exception it was still very warm after Sunset I came in 10 minutes before 11:00 to start my shift we have a routine to hand

off the keys event log and phone to The next person on duty dis desite its size I am the only security person here at night my coworker who was leaving told me the side iron gates leading to the parking lot were open on one side because they were stuck this is nothing new they often Jam she mentioned the repair people would come tomorrow to fix them but suggested I do extra patrols out there tonight this place is across the road from a public park and while the area is Generally decent the park tends to attract

individuals using substances and homeless people at night sometimes they try to wander onto the property or cause trouble my night started out uneventfully as a security guard here I only have pepper spray a large flashlight keys and a company cell phone to call 911 if needed we're instructed not to confront anyone physically or detain them we're simply eyes and ears Calling the police if necessary of course I can defend myself if needed but the company's policy is to call the police if I'm in danger my primary tasks are to patrol the grounds and Floors monitor

the cameras in the security office located in the lobby and stay alert if a resident calls for a maintenance request I log the information for the day shift if there's a security issue I address it it seemed Like a pretty easy job after locking the parking lot and Lobby doors I did a sweep of all the floors and then returned to the desk it was quiet and by 3:00 a.m. I had just sat down to eat my lunch when the company's cell phone rain the caller ID indicated it was from one of our outside call

box FS I answered thanks for calling Resort name this is Security Officer James how can I help you all I heard was heavy breathing I glanced at the cameras and saw the shadow of a figure standing just out of the camera's view near the door the open call box and the metal cord from the phone were visible but not the person I asked again how I could help the man started breathing heavier then let out a laugh it was the kind of laugh you hear in movies while a lunatic is about to do something terrible

I got from my chair and began walking to the door he was near when the Phone rang again this time from call box number two which was further down I quickly checked the cameras and saw a large figure in a hooded jacket this struck me as odd since it was very warm outside the figure held a black bag in his hands and had his back to the camera in a raspy deep tone the voice said I'm coming for you and you're going to die he on up before I had the chance to say anything then

the phone rang again this Time I picked up and before he could speak I let him know the cops were on their way and to leave the property immediately as he was on camera he tried the doors but both were locked this time he was at yet another call box this guy had to be running at top speed to make it to the next and the next call box as they are a good distance apart on the outside I can see you are you ready to Die the cops won't make it here in time the

guy said I spoke loudly and pretended I was talking to another security officer I asked him to send three other security guards to a specific location and mentioned that the police were already dispatched the guy slammed the phone loudly against the call box receiver and I watched him on camera as he took off into the darkness toward the Park Area I figured it scared him off I was going to call the police but honestly given the location of this place it would take them at least 15 minutes to get here and I figured this guy

was just some person under the influence from the park I scanned the cameras and walked the back lot just to be sure no one was there I had my pepper spray in my hand just in case but no one was out there I returned to my desk and laed the Incident about half an hour later I had finished lunch and was just about to do rounds when the phone ring again this time it was from an unknown number I thought it would be a resident calling about a repair issue or something I picked up and

said my usual line where are the cops I don't see them but I see you the voice said damn it was that guy again I scanned the cameras but didn't see anything I went to the front door to Look outside but there was nothing except darkness and a few flood lights I know you're alone and you are going to die soon he said I basically told him to get lost and hung up I called the non-emergency police number to report what was happening the dispatcher said she would send out a card to check the area

and make contact with me next I heard a loud thought against the glass windows of the day manager's office which is across from The security room another three l bains followed I ran to the door unlocked it pulled up the shades and Shone my flashlight through the window into the darkness I caught sight of this hooded man's face he looked about 40 years old with long straining hair and wild eyes he looked right at me grinned and then slammed his head into the window to try to break it I started yelling at him telling him

the cops were coming and to leave Immediately that's when he pulled out the biggest butcher knife I had ever seen and made a slicing motion indicating he would cut my throat this guy was out of control and probably under the influence of substances he kept slamming his body against the glass trying to break it he even used his head but he managed to bust it open leaving blood all over the window I backed out of the office locked the door and decided to wait for the Cops my pepper spray wouldn't have been enough to stop

him and I didn't want to confront a bloody deranged individual the guy ran to the nearest side door took the call box phone off the hook and then proceeded to do the same with each call box jimming my company's cell phone with constant ringing he had to be on something strong because he moved incredibly fast I watched the cameras and to my horror noticed the sliding barrage door Was open residents often unlocked themselves to get get to their cars but this was the last thing I needed with this Maniac running around I sprinted across the

building cutting through a couple of banquet rooms to reach the garage as I got there I saw him lining up the garage pathway I quickly slid the door shut and locked it just before he reached the entryway he slammed his body into the Glass repeatedly but it didn't budge I locked the second set of doors as a precaution and yelled at the cops have arrived he laughed howled and waved the knife before disappearing into the darkness of the parking garage I called the police again on my personal cell phone to report that the man had

a knife the dispatcher assured me the officers would arrived shortly I locked myself in the security Office which had no windows and monitored the cameras then I heard another loud bang he was now at the front lobby doors trying to get in it felt like an eternity waiting for the cops even though they probably weren't taking that long the man stood at the lobby doors holding the knife he faced the camera his head falling back to reveal a bald head with wild stringy hair on the sides his eyes were huge and I'll never Forget the

grin on his face as he mouthed d d while making stabbing motions with the knife blood stre down his face from hitting the glass he eventually ran off into the darkness about 5 minutes later the cops arrived they sent one officer I described the man and showed him the camera footage the officer drove through the area shining a spotlight but returned to report no sign of the guy I printed a Picture from the camera footage and G it to him he said he would Patrol the area and to call back if the man returned but

the time the cop left it was almost 5:00 a.m. I waited until 6:00 a.m. when daylight began and walked around to hang up the phones on all the call boxes this guy had taken all 12 phones off the hook when my manager came at 8m I explained what happened she said they'd alert everyone on staff and assign an extra guard to my Shift for 2 weeks I had additional security but the man never returned the police never found him a few years ago my boyfriend and best friend of four years had just dumped me I

was using this website me me to meet people in my area while I was in college my profile clearly stated that I was not explicitly looking for anyone today just wanted to meet new people I had just been dumped so I was really trying trying to put myself out There and I'm not really the type to go out in my area there is a giant dance Aon that my University does every year to raise money for a children's hospital I had someone message me and ask if I had heard of it I told him my

dance team usually performed it every year he told me he was actually one of the children that was supported by the event when he was younger I thought that was really cool so I asked him a little about his Experience with that and genuinely thought it was interesting after a while the conversation started to die down and I didn't really have much else to say plus it was getting late and I kind of wanted to go to bed I told him so and after about 10 minutes of laying in my bed trying to sleep I

got another notification I glanced at it quickly and this guy had honestly sent me a novel after this event I swiftly deleted The account so unfortunately I don't have access to the exact messages but I'll do my best to remember the first one went something like look I will be honest I really want to keep talking to you in fact I actually really like to take you on date sometime you seem like a really nice girl and very sweet and interesting I think we would get along extremely well I am kind of alone in this

world insert long-winded commentary About his loneliness here he also did not use any punctuation so it took me a long time to dissect this I responded and told him I wasn't interested he was about 7 years older than me I was 20 at the time and tried to say good night again then he responded with another novel along the lines of I don't think you understand you are perfect for me you were made for me I'm sure of it God speaks to me you know God wants us to be together and we Will be one

day you will be mine I'm trying to be polite because he was so nice earlier and I guess I'm naive I don't totally know but I kept responding trying to let him down easy here are some more highlights Maybe not today maybe not tomorrow but God has decided this who are we to deny him of his plan someday in the future we will end up together you will realize it soon we're going to have three Children I know their names two boys one girl God spoke their names to me I wrote them down when I

was 7 years old and I still have the paper do you know how I know you're going to be my wife because I wrote your name down with it you will be my wife don't make a mistake God is talking to me now he's saying your name to me I can't let you leave at that point I blocked and reported him noped the hell off the site And went to bed all creeped out morning came and he had found me on Facebook he was going on and on and on starting with comments like where did

you go how could you do this to me you're denying your fate he did it all night I freaked out told him to leave me alone pretty aggressively and blocked him I deleted all of the social media apps off my phone for the next few days I asked my roommates to stay at Home with me they agreed after I told them what happened I was actually genuinely afraid this dude was going to come find me I mean he was local and I had made nice conversation by telling in my major and some clubs I was

in he could have shown up anywhere but thankfully he didn't and that was the end of that I live with my girlfriend as expats in a pretty Foreigner friendly Asian country most of the time we get by just Fine despite only knowing a little of the language because most people we interact with on a day-to-day basis speak fluent English we started out in a tiny apartment which we quickly outgrew eventually we found a gorgeous condo with nice amenities and decided to move in this condo is owned and managed by a local owner rather than by

an association or company the building is a little older Which means that instead of key card access to our door it came with a traditional key lock and sliding bar latch this setup felt nice because it was more durable than a chain of note our original building also a key car access to our floor meaning we could only access our own floor even the emergency exit stairwells didn't allow entry to other floors however this new place didn't have such measures and I routinely Enjoyed walking up the 15 flights of stairs to the room as a

bit of a warmup before going swimming the queen feeling of all this changed about 2 months after we moved in we were both starting new jobs and drag our feet on some of the final touches of moving in and that's the last time we'll ever do that my girlfriend nudged me awake at about 3 in the morning I woke up groggy and unsure of my surroundings but I snaap to full Attention when she whispered white eyed someone is trying to open the door now the condo is 100 square m and the main door in the

bedroom are at opposite ends the bedroom itself has a rather sturdy door that was closed and the air conditioner was running this had to have been some commotion for her to wake up I sprung out of bed and made it to the door in seconds I also sleep Buck Naked so I awkwardly tried to put on a pair of Shorts while peering through the peole there was a man outside our door studying the lock intently he was about my height but probably 15 kilos heavier and he wasn't a foreigner like us wrong room I had

to yell because the door was thick there was a pause and then a thud followed by smaller talk talk talk talk sounds as he knocked from experience I knew it was hard to hear through the door if English wasn't his first language understanding Me through it would be a real challenge anyway looking through the people as he kept knocking I noticed he seded slightly so I figured he had a few drinks and just had the wrong room I turned to my girlfriend and told her this adding that I was going to open the key lock

but not the bar latch and tell him he had the wrong room she didn't love the idea but what was the alternative I took a deep breath and under the key lock my hand shook as I Turned the handle one hand braced the door while the other opened it slightly he must have been leaning close because I saw his face right at the opening and smell beer on his breath you've got the wrong was all I got out before he shoved the door as hard as he could the bar latch held but my girlfriend threw

herself against the door and with our combined effort we shut it again no I yelled go away wrong room then he Muttered something that sent chills through me the door muffled the noise and just waking up play tricks on my ears but I could swear I heard him laugh softly and say stupid boy I froze my girlfriend locked the key as he slammed into the door once twice three times I lost count each time I pressed harder against it but I could swear the four screws holding the bar latch in Place wiggled slightly xats often

joke about the shoty construction here but this was the first time I considered it a serious concern the thoughts continued and peeking through the peephole I on punching the door his stoic face looked patient and annoyed as he swung his arm back over and over each time he struck the vibrations rattled through our bodies this felt like a Nightmare was this real was this guy seriously trying to break into our condo even drunk he should have recognized this wasn't his place right but what if he wasn't lost what if he knew exactly what what he

was doing what if he came off the street bited his time and tested doors at 3:00 a.m. until someone was foolish enough to crack One open stupid boy his words echoed in my Mind after what felt like an eternity the pounding stopped and I looked through the peephole he wasn't there any longer I listened closely and could hear the long ding of the elevator down the hall he might be leaving my girlfriend had both our friend phones texting the condo owner on hers and shoving mine at me she was calling the owner but at 3:00

a.m. there was no answer frantic texts of someone is trying to break in Span The other end where no one was picking up she messaged friends of ours who live in the next building but we both knewed to be ours before anyone responded to us this is where I kick myself we knew the emergency number but neither of us had taken the time to collect the local police or the building security this is a mistake I'll never make again no matter if I'm starting a new job or whatever the excuse adding a list of Fast

Response Numbers is as big a priority as getting the keys to the place we calmed down a bit and agreed that we were going to be up the rest of the night but that we'd settle up with the condo owner in the morning and report to the building management there were security cameras in the hallways so they'd be able to follow up then I heard the elevator ding again I was shaking as I returned to the people And watched as the chunky man returned he was hanging up a mobile phone and he retrieved something from

his pocket a knife a multi-tool and that's why I said he's back and I grabbed the biggest kitchen knife Within Reach and returned to brace the door my girlfriend was almost in a full-blown panic as she grabbed the cast iron skillet that's why I realized for the first time That there was a chance someone was going to die the door handle was wiggling as he started to poke at the lock with whatever was in his pocket if he opened one lock the only thing between him and us would be four tiny screws on the bar

latch and if he got into this condo we were going to defend ourselves as best we could and that's where I realized we were foreigners and dealing with manslaughter charges in a foreign Court System would be an absolute nightmare or if we severely injured him and he was able to communicate his story his way to the police while we struggled with an interpreter and of course this was all assuming that we would be the ones to overpower and subdue him I had no idea who he was on the phone with what if this guy had

friends scouting other rooms in the building or what if he was a guest of someone Upstairs maybe he just told his poker buddies to come down and R up the helpless foreigners I measured up my girlfriend with a skillet and myself with a kitchen knife and found myself honestly wondering how many drunk stocky men we could take all this was running through my head as I called the equivalent of 911 and shouted English into the phone until someone spoke English my brain wouldn't quiet down Enough for me to be polite I finally got an operator

that spoke English and I explained someone was trying to break into our that he had left and returned and gave him the address he sent a car and I asked for an ETA but he couldn't give me one great thanks for that it felt like forever holding the key lat shut with one hand knife on the counter nearby and phone in the other waiting for the Emergency team To call back all while listening to his muttering and pounding on the door inches from my head looking at the woman I L next to me terrified also

wondering what was going to happen in the next few minutes he wandered off again but my Spider Sense was in full alert mode it wasn't until half an hour later when several people wearing police uniforms and building management jumpsuits knocked on the door that had calmed down even a Little still I wasn't sure what to expect one of the group spoke English while the rest stood back I explained everything in detail and pointed at at the camera in our hallway saying I wanted whoever it was found one of the cops pointed at the nearby knife

and raised an eyebrow and I just confidently said yeah I would have if I needed to he seemed to smile a bit after assurances apologies and Promises of followup we received what we should Have collected weeks ago direct phone numbers to our building security room where cameras are monitored as well as the local police station and the personal mobile number of our building security director the sun was coming up and our condo owner called my girlfriend to comprehend what was going on she promised us that she'd set locksmiths through that day to install another dead

bolt as well as a second bar lock if it Helped us feel safe the followup of everything was that the guy was indeed someone who got drunk and mistook the room and was on the wrong floor wouldn't have been an issue if we had key card access per floor right he was apparently known in the building for this would it been nice to let us know huh his wife had to come collect him more than once and he would be fine for the cost of installing the extra locks so while it is a bit comforting

to Know that he's a random drunk instead of a burglar I still explain to building management that I have no desire for an apology from him I don't care if he feels bad police reports here can be messy and locals can hold s grudges that I did not want to deal with I will only keep from a full police report if I literally never see or hear from him again and apparently stupid boy was a mix of foreign language and my ears playing tricks on me though I'll never Truly be 100% sure of that this

is a story that happened to my mom's friend in Korea about 10 years ago every time time I hear this story I still get chills my mom's friend lived in an apartment complex in Soul she was a stay-at-home mother with a young daughter and her husband worked during the days one day she was coming home from running errands with her daughter and Got on to the elevator in her building when she got on she noticed that there was a man wearing a cap and a yellow raincoat and he kept his head low so that she

couldn't really see his face she immedi medely felt uneasy so she made her daughter stand to her side furthest away from the man what made her feel even more uncomfortable was that when she pressed the button for her floor no other numbers lit up on top of that she noticed that he was carrying Something wrapped in newspaper close to his side things started to click in my mom's friend's mind and she began to panic she decided to take out her cell phone and pretend she was calling her husband who of of course wasn't at home

and was at work she started saying things like oh I'm on the elevator and about to get off can you get the door for me and made it seem like her husband was waiting at home when the elevator reached her floor I think she lived on The 12th floor She quickly got off grabbed her daughter and started to walk as fast as she could to her apartment she noticed that the man also got off on her floor and was slowly following her down the hallway when my mom's friend reached her door she began to bang

it and Shout hey yubo husband slash tier I'm home please open the door she pretended as if he was coming to answer the door upon seeing this the man in the Yellow raincoat turned and walked back towards the elevator when he seemed far enough away my mom's friend quickly picked up her daughter and slid open her doors past good panel this is how people get into their hom in Korea and started frantically punching in her key code the problem was that the buttons made sounds so the man knew no one was going to answer the

door for her he turned around and began to run back toward her my Mom's friend at this point was practically screaming when she finally got the door open the first thing she did was throw her daughter through the door when she got in herself she saw that the man was just inches from the door but she man managed to shut it and lock it before he could wedge his hand or weapon into the door afterwards looking through the door's PE she saw the man walking away toward the Elevator several months later my mom's friend was

watching the news and saw coverage of the capture of a serial killer named gium Cho who used to kill many women involved in the adult industry she told my mom that she could never forget the dread she felt when she saw the too familiar yellow raincoat and had he was wearing when he was apprehended I was the railroad Killer's one who got away I was 19 staying late at the College dark room to develop some film for my photography class the photography building once a Tobacco Warehouse was a dark rickety Hulk near some lonely railroad

tracks in a little travel part of Campus I finished developing my film close to midnight and headed out nervous as always to be alone at night in this deserted part of town it was dark several of the street lights around the parking lot were out and the few that Remained were fing it in putting out a weak flickering light that did nothing to reassure me as I headed toward my car I heard him before I saw him a scrape of feet on asphalt he said hey can you do me a favor I startled and dropped

my keys and he mumbled an apology for SC securing me I noticed he was wearing a jogging suit and limping what do you need I said he hobbled a step or two Toward me I think I sprained my ankle could you take me to the ER the university hospital was a short distance down the road I hesitated the guy looked perfectly Pleasant and he did seem to be in pain but I've recently finished a book about serial killer Ted Bundy who lured some of his victims by pretending to have a broken arm and asking for

their help carrying books to his car when they leaned over to put his stuff in the Passenger seat of his VW Bug he knocked them unconscious with a crowbar and stuffed them inside this scene played across my mind as I looked at the guy it also occurred to me to wonder why the hell anyone would want to jog in this creepy part of town I'm sorry I can't do that but I could call somebody for you there's a phone in the photography building there there's nobody to call I just moved here I don't really Know

anybody can you just drive me it's right down Limestone Avenue he leaned against the car and winced as he reached down to rub his ankle I'll call you an ambulance I offered no I can't afford that I don't have health insurance parents can you just drive me I'll pay you 20 bucks there was something in the way he said this last bit something wrong like That exercise in my acting class where we had to recite Mary out a little lamb as though we were delivering a tragic monologue or a furious rant there was a tone

rising up that didn't quite match the words he was saying a raw urgency that reached down inside me and hit the panic button hard there was a moment of silence between us I can't help you I said I'm leaving I gripped my keys slipping them between my fingers the way my mom had Taught me so I could use them as a weapon if he came at me I kept my eyes on him as I speed walk the last few feet to my car he watched me drive away still leaning against that car a flat expression

on his face away from the dark parking lot driving through campus with my music turned up the fear faded I started to feel a little guilty for leaving the guy there although I knew I'd done what my mom and dad would Have wanted me to do I was about to turn into my dorm parking lot while I realized I needed to pick up some stuff for breakfast the next morning so I turned around and headed back in the direction I come about a minute down the road my stomach clenched there was the guy in the

jogging suit running along the sidewalk his ankle was was perfectly fine later that summer two students at my college were attacked by those same Railroad tracks the girl survived but her boyfriend died the man who attacked them was a serial killer dubbed the railroad Killer by police he murdered dozens of people across several States most of them near railroad tracks I didn't see his much sha on TV until years later but the picture broke me out in the same icy sweat I felt when I saw that guy running down down the street I can't be

100% positive but my Good tells me I escaped a serial killer that night horrific night camping for reference I was a 19-year-old female at the time still female of course just a little older I love camping anytime my friends and I came home from college we would load up par cooler with beer grab some gear and go screw around outside unfortunately while I was Actually at school none of my sori sisters or other friends ever wanted to go with me so I would often suffer withdrawals from camping one day the weather was way too nice

to waste so I grabbed some of my gear hopped in a car I borrowed from a buddy and drove to a spot that was secluded you within a safe distance to civilization where I could run and get help camp camping also creeps me out sometimes but that creepy feeling is Also somewhat of a plus for me it's the same reason that people read these stories it's fun to be scared so I made a little camp and got fire going I hadn't brought all that much to eat but I was enjoying myself reading and looking around

the area that sort of thing I got the feeling I was being watched and I stopped dead in my tracks I heard a tweak crunch over to my right then saw a dough buol from 100 ft or so in front of me I laughed at myself And went back to the camp with the armful of what I had gathered I kept freaking myself out hearing sounds just outside of the Ring of light cast by the fire I always get inside my head so I Shrugged it off and kept whittling in a stick I had been

messing with around 1:00 I decided to go into my tent and snuff out the lantern I had been slamming beard in the most unladylike fashion and smoking Cheap cigars another reason I like camping I can act however I want so I passed out relatively quickly about 2:00 I started hearing footsteps they sounded pretty light and sort of timid I thought to myself that it was a deer or another animal more likely a raccoon because I had probably left some food out I was still on guard though after about 30 minutes of sleeping with one ey

open I heard a rubbing noise and The ttin fabric was being pushed in a bit I don't know how I didn't freak out but I just sat there paralyzed with my Kar in my hand I desperately wanted to thrust the knife through the T fabric but I was still holding a hope that it was some of my buddies from a frat joking with me and then as suddenly as it had begun it all stopped I was starting to feel slightly more secure because daylight would be Coming in about 2 or 3 hours but I sure

as heck wasn't going to go to sleep all of a sudden at about 4:00 I realized I should put my boots on so that if anything did happen I would be ready after having stayed up and keeping alert a little while longer my friend's car alarm went blaring I freaked the heck out and ran out of the tent I got about two steps before something grabbed me around the Mouth I opened my mouth to scream but instead the person's pinky finger slipped between my teeth I've heard that people can perform superhuman Feats when they have

huge adrenaline rushes in my case I just clamped down and there's no way to say this without sounding ridiculous his finger popped off he screamed pulled his hand away with a missing digit falling to the ground and took off running down the Hill I was camping on I took off right quick in the opposite direction I must have looked ridiculous to the people whose house I ran to a little soror girl and a wife beater boxers and steel toe boots I also had some blood that had oozed out of my lip not from the finger

but because I had also managed to take a pretty good chunk out of my lip as well I told them what happened they called the police got me some real clothing and The man at the house made me a whiskey and Coke when the cops got there they checked it out theop cops went to check it out and when they came back it was light out they brought me back so I could get my friend's car and what I saw just made me more scared right next to the tent was a red gask he could

have just lit me on fire earlier the finger was also gone suggesting he had come back the kicker is they never caught the guy so Somewhere Out There is a man sitting down to dinner maybe alone maybe with a wife and a couple of kids and he's missing his right pinky when I was around six my parents divorced and my dad was soon given full custody since my mom struggled with alcoholism and had several DUIs anyway we my younger sister my dad and I moved to a new neighborhood and we transferred to a nearby Elementary

School the school was pretty close to Our new house maybe 5 to 7 boxs away close enough to walk but my sister and I were too young to walk alone sometimes our dad would walk us to school in the morning and then walk back home less commonly he'd walk to pick us up but most of the time he picked us up in his black Mazda pickups at my school worked in a typical way we'd go outside with our class stand by our teacher and classmates and when a car pulled up Designated staff members would ask

who the student was in then escort them to their car since my mom was in jail at the time the only person who ever picked us up was our dad one day while I was in third grade and my sister was in first we were outside waiting to be picked up after only a few minutes my little sister came over to me and said someone who wasn't dad was in a car to pick us up the man had said both of our names and found her first he'd smiled at her And told her that our

dad had asked him to pick us up that afternoon thankfully she wanted to find me first before getting in the car since she didn't recognize him thank God she did that our dad had always told us not to talk to strangers so I grabbed my teacher and told her what happened she got a really alarmed look on her face and told us to stay put while she informed another teacher a few minutes later our dad Arrived to pick us up and we got home safely we told him about about what had happened and he immediately

had a long talk with us about safety protocol he asked my sister to describe the man in the car and he called the police to give them the best description he could but my sister was very young and couldn't recall many important details a few weeks later it happened again but this time the man said my name my dad had already provided the school With the information he' given the police but the man likely had multiple vehicles my sister had said he drove a red car the first time but this time it was black similar

to my dad's I saw the black car and ran up to it but luckily I caught a glimpse of the man's face before opening the door he was middleaged very pale and had an angular face we made a contact and while his mouth was smiling his eyes looked Wrong squinty and almost angry I turned back to alert the carpool assistant who the escorted me to the car but by the time I did the car was gone and I couldn't provide many details my dad contacted the police again but without a license plate they couldn't do

much the last time I saw him was months later near the end of the school year I was walking home with a big group of neighborhood kids when he drove by us And slowed down to talk I immediately recognized his face and shouted for everyone to run thankfully we were only a few houses away from one of my friends's homes and we all rushed inside alarming our parents as we explained the situation I never saw him again after that my dad started dating my now stepmom and we moved to her neighborhood and switched schools shortly

after I still think about him Sometimes his face actually appeared in a dream I had a few nights ago which reminded me to write about this experience to this day I don't know how he knew our names or anything about us really it's terrifying to think about what could have happened to my little sister if she gotten in the car with that man or what could have happened to me if I had came across an incredibly creepy family a while back around 2018 or 2019 I 25f at the time 18 or 19 was living in

NE Nebraska where I grew up I lived in the largest city in an but it was still essentially surrounded by corn and wheat Fields the city was expanding so wealthy folks started building huge houses with large properties on the edge of town as things continue to grow that being said I had a good friend whose parents' house was one of those big ones right on the blurry line between the fields in the city my friends and I were constantly Hanging out of this place because it was fun there was tons of property to ride for

x4s a hot tub a huge living room for sports and reality TV binge sessions Etc plus his parents were super cool and we could drink there as long as we stayed at the house it was tons of fun even though I was and still am quite scared of the dark I wouldn't go outside after a certain time because there was little Lighting and the nearest neighbor was about a mile away I always felt a weird energy driving to or from his place late at night but nothing ever happened until one night the drive out there

was a long winding two-way road with thick trees on both sides and you had to pass one of the city's largest cemeteries on the way there was barely any lighting apart from the occasional Street Lamp and very little Traffic it was inherently a bit creepy and I'll admit to speeding through that section many times just to get through it as quickly as possible possible this specific night had perfect spring weather so I was driving with my windows down listening to music it was around 10 p.m. I was coming around one of the Curves in the

road when I had to slam on my brakes right in front of me maybe 50 Yards away was what looked like a family picture a completely pitched black road with thick forest on both sides and only my headlights to show what's ahead there was a family of three maybe four a tall slim woman an average high man a child short hair gender unclear from clothing and I couldn't see their face who looked about 8 years old and the woman was pushing a stroller their clothes look normal not tattered but not particularly nice Either they weren't

carrying any light source meaning before I arrived behind them they had been walking in the pitch black they were all facing away from me walking silently in the middle of the road in the same direction I was heading I turned down my music to hear if they were talking or playing music they weren't the hairs on my arms immediately stood up I came to a stop in the road behind them and just sat there for a moment expecting them to move but They didn't they didn't even turn their heads slightly or try to get out

of the way I literally thought I was going insane or dreaming it was so surreal before I had time to fully process how strange it was they all stopped walking at the same time and very slowly turned to face my car this scared the absolute life out of me I didn't even give myself enough time to look at their faces as they Turned I immediately threw my car into reverse and backed up for a good 20 seconds before flipping a U-turn merely running off the road and speeding in the other direction the only the only

thing I remember noticing was that the stroller looked completely empty that detail sticks in my mind the most I've never felt Terror like that in my life I checked my rearview mirror at least a thousand times before getting to a main road but I never saw a glimpse of Them again in fact I never saw them again period I tried asking my friend and his family about it but the way they looked at me made me feel like I was insane every time I tell this story I give up three reactions people either think I'm

crazy lying or they share that something similar happened to them honestly I don't care if anyone believes me it was and still is the creepiest thing that has ever happened to me I think about it All the time it was either some bizarre family trying to scare someone a distraction for an attempted robbery or attack or something far more sinister I'll probably spend the rest of my life convincing myself it was the first option someone was watching us through our webcam and came to our house my life has always been surrounded by strange things my

family has a medium bloodline so my mom and I bonded over the creepier Side of life a long time ago while I was about 14 I 23 now for time reference my mom one of my younger brothers and I were all at home at the time my mom was in the US Army so our family was stationed at forood Texas we had lived there for some time and had some creepers and whatnot looking through windows before we got our home on base so being watched isn't as scary to us as it would be for most

People even before living here we had those issues this was different though for a few weeks my brother who was about 10 had noticed the webcam light on now our computer was in our dining room which overlooked the kitchen laundry room entrance to the living room and our back door so he could see a good portion of the house other than the living room we were a bit Concerned we kept an eye for a few days and noticed to go off and back on at random times we would check the webcam window to see if

it was left on or opened it never was so being two females and a young boy we were rightfully a bit scared we put some tape over the camera and forgot about it fast forward maybe 4 days later we noticed the tape was gone none of us took the tape off and if we had we would Have put it right back and I'm sure we had to as my mom would video chat overseas sometimes so of course of course she always put it back the light was on again with no window then suddenly once we

were all looking at it it went off at that point we knew it wasn't a glitch someone was watching us we decided to make a sign to put in front of the webcam the sign read we know you're There and we placed it in front of the webcam we waited and waited nothing I assumed they were gone waiting for us to forget about the light and computer so they could continue watching us without worry then suddenly the light came on my mom and I saw the light come on stayed on for about 20 seconds to

read the sign and then shut off we hoped that would be it and then we would be done I mean why keep watching if we know And would call the police halfway through that thought we heard the backyard gate slammed shut we we ran to the window to check what it was and saw nothing at all but we were too scared to go outside yeah we were used to it but not that stupid there was silence for about 10 seconds when we heard the gate slam again and again and again and again we were suddenly

terrified whoever was watching us was Outside our house then suddenly there was banging on the wall from the outside we screamed so loudly but later found out no one heard us then more banging from a different end of the house from outside and then more from the front there were multiple people banging as hard as possible from all ends of the house keep in mind it was a duplex building so we were attached to another Home and they heard nothing my brother was so terrified he ran and grabbed a baseball bat we stopped him from

going outside though because you know he's 10 so big sister mod kicked in I rounded him up into the laundry room which is the safest room in the house for immediate danger as I did that the banging suddenly just stopped it was as quiet as can be and we were frozen in place trying to Listen nothing but silence as soon as it started it was over our webcam light stopped coming on after that and needless to say we always had a piece of tape covering the camera when we weren't using it we never had anything

like that again now and then we hear our back gate but we Cho that up to the wind I have to point out again however that we lived on a military base the only way on is with a military ID card or a visiting pass which has to be granted these people with how quickly they got to our home had to have been military there was no way a civilian just got on base even if they did they would have had to be staying by our home to have gotten there that quickly after that I'm

more scared of my surroundings I always close the shades and cover Cameras I never want that to ever happen again ever this happened to me about 4 years ago I was 20 female at the time during a tattoo convention in Toronto I was still an apprentice tattoo artist then and this was my first time working at a convention so I was super excited but also a bit underprepared there were six of us going from the studio I worked in three guys and three Girls the guys booked their rooms early smart whereas I booked the room

for the girls last minute because I didn't realize that the rooms would be all booked up near the convention center needless to say there were almost no affordable rooms left and I had a mini panic before I found a less than ideal Super8 in Chinatown with a room still available I asked if any of the other girls minded and they were totally fine With it as we wouldn't be hanging out at the hotel much anyway fast forward to us arriving at the hotel it was literally inside an Asian strip mall and was kind of sketchy

but hey we rolled with it we checked in unpacked and headed down to the convention center to set up our supplies afterwards a bunch of other tattoo artists asked us all out for drinks so all six of us said sure and met up at a Bar we had a great night and everyone was having a blast I really wasn't used to drinking at all and it was getting later and later being my first convention I didn't want to be tired the next day so I asked if anyone else wanted to leave they were all still

partying and didn't want to go and I didn't want to ruin their time time so I let them know I was heading back to the hotel by myself and I called an Uber when I got there it was Completely empty I walked through the mall and it was silent and dark I made it to the hotel entrance and walked past the check-in desk dark no one was there I was a bit creeped out and was kind of looking around I took the elevator to my floor and walked past the chunal breakfast area this is where

things started to get weird the breakfast room was dark but I could see a silhouette of a man sitting In there alone when he saw me he stood up and I could hear his footsteps walking behind me I tried to stay calm and said to myself he's probably just heading to his own room you're freaking out for no reason just because it's late but as I continued down the halls trying to find my room I decided for whatever reason to turn around would which led to the most disgusting sight I've ever seen the doors for

each room dipped in the wall slightly and as I turned around I Swear to you the man behind me quickly dipped into one of the doorways then peered at me from behind the wall we made direct I contact and I swear my heart fell into my stomach I turned back around and sped up just wanting to get back to my room and locked the door I was almost there at A T intersection of the hallway and there was a fire extinguisher behind glass in front of me I could see him behind me Again in the

reflection I turned around again and I saw him again dip into someone else's doorway and peek at me at that point I absolutely lost it I started running and booked it the last few meters to my room around the corner I swiped my key card so fast I'm surprised I didn't fumble and drop it that I slammed the door shut and locked it thank God I turned a corner because he didn't see which room was mine I Looked through the people in the door and watched him Pace the hall for a few minutes before walking

away I immediately went to the hotel room phone to try to call security but no one was answering so then I called my co-workers who were still at the bar and told them what happened they came right away and helped me find an employee I guess they have next to no staff overnight and no security at all the employee we did find tried to look For the guy but he was long gone he told me he'd check the cameras but I never heard if anything came from it I don't know what would have happened if

that guy had caught me but I'm glad I never found out my grandmother's possible gnome or leprechaun encounter my grandmother passed away almost 17 years ago and I was recently talking to my mom about the stor she used to tell me one story in particular Had slipped my mind until my mom reminded me of it this took place in Manchester England around 1953 a few hours after my Grandma had given birth to my uncle John during the night my Nana was lying in bed trying to sleep with my newborn uncle but struggled to drift off

because the baby was fussing she told me that she was lying on her back with my uncle on her chest and the room was almost pitch black Aside from the faint glow of street lights filtering through the net curtains she tried to drift off but started feeling uneasy as though she was being watched the kind of feeling that makes your skin prickle and your hair stand on end a moment later she heard whistling coming from the side of the bed she looked to her right and saw a tiny man in a suit grinning at her

from the floor She said he seemed full of mischief almost as if he was mocking her And the baby by pointing at them and making a hand on the stomach laughing motion he was dancing around tipping his hat and jumping from one foot to the other while laughing and pointing he then jumped onto the bed and came even closer repeating the same motions she remembered feeling a deep sense of dread as though he was trying to convey the idea that she wouldn't have the baby for very long whether he knew something she didn't terrified she

Closed her eyes thinking it was some kind of hallucination caused by exhaustion and eventually drifted to sleep my uncle John tragically passed away in 1980 due to a brain aneurysm after being beaten with a baseball bat by car thieves my grandmother was adamant that the being knew his fate and was mocking her almost as if celebrating it she didn't feel it was a warning it felt more like a taunt she said she often Thought back to the little man and the memory always gave her the creeps my grandmother had several paranormal experiences throughout her life

but unfortunately I've forgotten many of the story she shared with me for some reason this particular Story made my hair stand on end she described the little man as resembling the character from Twin Peaks but obviously much smaller and far more unsettling not my mother this story happened about 11 years Ago I was a senior in high school at the time and it is the single most mind-boggling thing I have ever experienced it's important to note that this occurred in mid December I am from Iowa and the winters here get dangerously cold at night cold

enough that if you get stuck outside you could die the snowfall adds to the Eerie Stillness making everything dead silent you can hear anything and everything inside the house and even immediately Outside of it my best friend and I were hanging out in my family's walk out basement just having a boring winter night playing video games we were the only ones home because my mother had gone straight from work to a bar to grab a few substances with her co-workers thinking we had the house to ourselves my friend and I decided it would be a

good idea to break into the family wine and live a little as we were opening the first bottle I heard the Garage door open and slam shut I immediately panicked and started looking for a place to hide the bottle my friend asked I thought you said your mom was supposed to be all night she was I replied then I heard heavy Stomps in my mother's voice calling out Mio Sandu anyone home I yelled back up the stairs yep just hanging out in the basement I heard a few more steps moved from the garage door toward

the stairs And she called again can you come help me with something I need you up here frantically trying to hide the wine bottle I replied yep give me just a minute then there was silence for about 20 seconds anyone down there with you she yelled in a more concerned serious tone a voice that was slightly off from my mother's this was the first sign that something wasn't right my family never cared if anyone was over our house was Always open to family and friends and the voice it was just wrong it sounded like my

mother's but it was missing something I couldn't quite put my finger on weirded out I replied just Colton after hiding the bottle I began walking up the stairs to the next level as I climbed the overbearing Silence of the house grew heavier and I felt a slight electric twin that something wasn't right when I reached the top of the stairs I looked toward The garage door in the adjacent kitchen it was Pitch Black all the lights were off and no Moonlight was shining through the windows Mom where are you I called out there was no

reply just silence and darkness the electric twinch turned into full on needles and my adrenaline kicked him I had to get out of there my mother was not home I ran back downstairs grabbing my coat along the way what's wrong Colton Asked my mom's not home I replied frantically searching for my truck keys what do you mean you were just talking with her he said confusion ritten all over his face there's no one home we need to leave now as I took a few steps toward the back door leading to the yard I noticed my

dog shaking on the couch and my cat growling behind it I couldn't leave them deep down I knew something would happen if I did are we leaving Colton asked Still utterly confused no I can't leave them here alone something is really off I'm going to call my mom and figure this out I I pulled out my phone and called her she picked up immediately Mio Sanu what's going on she asked Mom were you just home I heard you yelling for me from the second level but when I went up you weren't there I said hoping

she was playing a joke no I'm Just leaving the bar I wasn't feeling well are you okay what do you mean you heard me I filtering on the whole story she rushed home while Colton and I stayed in the basement with the animals before she arrived we could hear something upstairs it wasn't footsteps or creaking Furniture but a pressure in the air like a black hole moving from one limb to the next the only word I could instinctively Use to describe it was hungry when my mom got home the presence disappeared as quickly as it

had come it felt like a predatory Force had flown away we never figured out what was going on this is just one of many unexplainable things that have happened to us but it's the easiest to recount and I'm grateful to have had a witness my mother has since passed away and I've moved to Arizona whenever I visit Iowa and see Colton he still gets creeped out by what happened that night I will never truly know what it was but I do know that whatever had my mother's voice was evil and it was hungry creepy experiences

first off I'm going to start by sharing some information about myself I'm an added fisherman and I love to fish at night when it's peaceful and quiet I tend to stay extremely late on NW work nights and that leads me to why I was at this Lake experiencing what I did I forget what day it was but I was alone my girlfriend at the time didn't want to come with me and I couldn't convince anyone else to join so I thought forget it I'll go by myself I grabbed my gear and my gun fish for

a few hours and catch a few while I was fishing I kept hearing voices but couldn't see anyone I figured maybe they were just walking down the road so I didn't think Much of it fast forward a few hours this is a city lake so it's decently lit up in most areas I hear a whistle I look around but I don't see or hear anything further I res in fishing another whistle this time to my right I'm thinking to myself that it's probably some kids but this is an attention seeking whistle like one that someone

would do If they want your attention again I see and hear nothing I turn around and see a cat think nothing of it and go back to fishing I hear another whistle this time behind me the cat's gone I reel in my lines catfish are pretty strong so I don't want to lose a $200 pole I put my hand on my gun and quietly walk around the building nothing I see and hear nothing which Would be impossible since there's gravel everywhere I turn around walk back and directly behind me I hear a very loud and

shrill whistle enough to make me flip around and draw my gun my heart is pounding so I grab my things and book it to my car fast forward a week later last Friday or Saturday night a friend and I go to the same place I forget about the whistling we go fishing and we have a Decent time as I'm looking around I keep noticing sh shadows and the trees across the lake it almost looked like something was running near the lights jumping around I didn't think much of it figuring it was just the night playing

tricks on me my friend who didn't tell me until later also observed the exact same thing by about 3:00 a.m. I hear some people chatting but I don't see anyone which was odd the lake is kind of like a pit with roads all around it's Impossible not to see someone walking by I'm feeling a bit uneasy but keep fishing around 3:15 a.m. I begin to hear birds chirping this is the dead of night I turned to my friend and say you hear those birds chirping kind of on for 3:00 a.m. he looks around looking kind

of paranoid 5 to 10 minutes later he says those aren't birds chirping someone's mimicking them I look At him and ask ask what are you on about he says remember that story you told me your coworker told you I nod yeah about the incidents and why they don't let anyone swim here anymore and he says how many people have died as soon as he says that the Crickets stop the wind dies immediately the fish stop biting my pole was being pulled in as he said that and it just slipped off and you could hear a

pin drop do you feel that he asked asks and I nod my chest feels heavy and it's Hard to breathe a horrible feeling of dread he looks around and says bro let's pack our stuff and dip I agree and we grab half the gear and pack it up the chirping starts back up so we go back for the rest and rush it to the car he suddenly flips around with his knife drawn and I pull my gun he says we need to go now we get in and drive off and I ask what the hell

did you pull your knife for he did pants something was running behind me like it was charging Us I don't know what happened but even typing this out gives me chills I don't believe in anything Supernatural or paranormal ghosts rules whatever is considered spooky but that experience scared the hell out of me something wasn't right and I knew it I can't explain it I guess I'm asking in case someone might know what I might have experienced as an update I've been Noticing footprints in the grass around my home and noises in the dead of night

this happened to me years ago but it's definitely something I'll always remember my grandfather made it clear that I should never talk about what we experienced and I should just forget it ever happened but I feel like I won't ever let go of this memory if I can't release it so anyways I was 11 at the time it was summer and we usually visited our Vacation house which I'd say is pretty secluded we don't have any close neighbors and the house is literally in the middle of the woods I never disliked going there as it's

close to a river with a waterfall which by the way looks straight out from the Garden of Eden my parents let me stay in the house with my grandpa while they had a business trip but I remember them promising they follow as soon as they got back my grandpa picked me up Around 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon the drive was around 3 hours evening arrived and we were just halfway through because of a major car crash we were stuck in traffic for a long time we almost finished 10 radio dramas while waiting we were finally

driving up the mountains which meant we were close to home but the road was insanely dark and covered in trees there were parts of the road where It looked like we were driving through tunnels as the tree branches were covering the sky then a loud thud broke the silence between us my grandpa had hit a big rock that was sitting in the middle of the road like someone intentionally put it there to cause inconvenience this caused the car to smoke and it turns out our clutch overheated my grandpa decided that we should spend the night

in the car as he Was very tired and not very good at driving in the dark I was also really tired so I was ready to fall asleep my grandpa said he' get his pillow and flashlight from the compartment of the car I was listening to him move and arrange our stuff and then I fell asleep I wasn't sure how long I've been sleeping but I woke up to the cound scratching under the car like someone Had a rock and was riding something under it I was 100% sure that I forget it and just sleep

in but as I wandered my eyes I saw a small dash of light on this dark Road it was my grandpa facing a tree and pointing his flashlight into the total Blackness I thought he also heard the scratching sound and was looking for it I was about to get out of the car and call him call him to get back in the car because I was scared out of my mind But suddenly I noticed that his neck was unusually long with a patch of hair running down his entire neck I knew something was wrong so

I started observing and looking around the car I panicked and then I saw my grandpa covered in blankets sleeping at the back of the car I quickly woke him up and told him what I saw he quickly dismissed it saying that maybe I was just dreaming or tired but I knew he was also so scared From what I just told him and he tried to stay calm so I wouldn't Panic just a few minutes later the scratching started again and it got louder there were also thuing sounds under the car like someone was smashing their

hands against it I was panicking my eyes filled with tears my vision blurry and my head hurting from all the anxiety my grandpa heard all of it this time he was awake and more alert he said there might be squirrels or Rabbits under the car in the EO check I quickly opposed this as I'd seen stuff like this in horror movies and it never ended well I was also so scared to be left alone in that car even for a second as soon as he opened the door the flashlight lit up whatever that thing was

I saw in the woods I was so scared it was lying on the floor the light facing our car then I heard the scariest sound I've ever heard in my Life it was my mom's voice singing but we both knew that whatever that thing was it wasn't my mom the voice sounded disgusting and distorted it was stringy and sounded like it was pretending and trying to imitate human language The Voice lasted for a minute and the last part sounded so terrifying as it shrieked from Pain almost like it was laughing at the same time he

closed the door locked it and sat in the Driver's seat shaking we share at contact he was so pale and looked absolutely terrified we both sat in pure fear and silence as the radio signal wasn't clear around the area that night we drove back home and he always told me to forget everything that happened and to pray every night I don't sleep with curtains open because of Crawlers I'm a grown woman now and I still can't sleep at night with the curtains open in fact when I moved into my current house I installed dual curtain

rods so that even if my light blocking curtains are open there's a layer of privacy shears behind them to block any sight I have seen the crawler four times I don't truly know if it's the same one they were all seen at different locations it's been years since I last Saw one one but I still feel like they were the same creature or at least they knew me the first time I was a very small child perhaps four maybe five my house was an old style flood house so it was technically two stories tall but

under the house was where we kept the car in our laundry room upstairs was where the living areas were we were one of the only houses there it was in the early days of the town and there were only a few other houses on the Cisac the back of our property was maybe 500 M from the ocean but you couldn't see or hear the coastline from the house there were some light rainforests surrounding our fully fenced house my bedroom faced the back of the property I woke up one night which wasn't unusual for me because

I was a very light sleeper this particular night my parents hadn't closed my curtains when I looked towards my window I could see it keep in mind I was on the second floor it was looking through my window I couldn't see much the only light was coming from outside but I could see the silhouette of its body it was pale and thin but still the frame of the creature was huge easily 2 m tall it was hanging off my roof holding on to the frame of my window and even though I couldn't see its face

I just knew it was looking at me I was Terrified it's been almost two decades since I saw it but I can still remember the intense fear I felt it took me so much courage to get out of bed and walk to my parents' room where I finally fell back asleep my parents told me it was just a dream the next time I remember seeing it I was probably about seven or so I had moved houses probably a few months before and my new house about a 16 18 hour drive from my old place was

a Single story home but still on the coast of the country it was a lot further from the ocean about 5 km but very much the same kind of area we were one of the only houses in the area and I had no neighbors I woke up one night because I heard something banging against the metal fence in Australia we have a brand that makes fences and roofs out of corrugated metal that's been painted they're quite common 6 ft High cream colored metal Fences and they make an unmistakable noise when something hits them I have

no idea how anything could climb one of these fences they're completely smooth with nothing to grab onto even in my teens I tried sneaking out by jumping the fence and I just slid right down again at first when I woke up I thought some birds must have landed on the fence but the noise continued for long longer than it would take a bird to Land my next thought was that someone was trying to break into the house I turned over and bed to face the window and saw it well I actually didn't see the first

it was very dark out and I don't remember much of a moon as my eyes adjusted I could only just make out the figure hunched down in front of my window even in the hunch down pose it was still huge this time I didn't to my parents their bedroom was no longer Across the hall it was all the way on the opposite side of the house and I had to pass so many uncovered Windows to get there I don't remember why I fell asleep but I eventually woke up in the morning and once again my

parents told me I must have been dreaming however from then on they always came into my bedroom and closed my blinds before bed the next time I saw it I was nine I know I was nine because I had just moved schools and made Friends with a girl who will call Casey she invited me to stay at her house one night and I was so excited she was the first friend I made since moving schools and it had been ages since I gotten to have a sleepover everything went great the night was perfectly normal and

I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of Casey crying I sat up in bed and asked her what was wrong she pointed towards the Window where I saw the thing again unfortunately for me Casey had a nightlight and I could see much more of the creature that I ever had before it looked so crusty and dry it was almost totally white to AV void of any real identifying features except it stared us with black eyes and its mouth Agape Casey's window was small and it had to hunch down to see

us we both got up and ran crying to her mom she turned on the outside light and brought us back Inside the bedroom pointing out a large gum tree outside the window which she tried to explain might have been what we saw we argued with her the thing we saw was right against the window not several meters away and it wasn't to the left it was to the right Casey's mom eventually let us sleep on the couch a couple of months later Casey stay over at my house when I woke up in the morning Casey

was gone I asked my parents and they told me that Casey had gotten up in the night and started crying begging to go home when I saw her again on Monday at school she told me she got up at night to go to the bathroom and when she walked past the living room she could see the tall skinned monster crawling through the trees at the bottom of my backyard she never came to my house again and I lost touch while I moved schools a year later I don't know what it was I saw it Can't

have been sleep paralysis I was able to move and speak in everything and it wasn't a dream because someone else saw it I don't know if this relates in any way but when my partner moved into my house a few months ago he opened the curtains one night before bed this time it was a full moon I had already fallen asleep I'm now living in a two-story house with my bedroom on the second floor again I woke up in the middle of The night to my partner giving up and closing the curtains when I asked

him why he told me he had a nightmare that there was a tall skinny white man clinging onto my roof almost like a spider and it was peering into my bedroom he said it must have been a hallucination he had been up all night playing video games and when he got from bed it jumped back onto the roof I still haven't told him but his Description of what he saw is exactly what I saw the first time I saw the crawler only now I'm living in a busy neighborhood with plenty of houses unlike past experiences

where I've been one of the only houses on the Block and surrounded by forests I have heard mimicking many times but I've always chocked it up to imagination sometimes I will hear my partner walk into the room and say hello at night but when I roll over I see the Light coming down the hallway and realize that he's still in the living rooming on the computer I've heard my mother's voice a few times too throughout my childhood and all the homes I've lived in we've had issues with dogs barking at nothing insecure Emotion Detector lights

randomly coming on at night when nobody is there I don't know if those two things are related or not but I've heard similar happenings in crawler related Stories before and thought I'd mention it don't talk about the Skin Walkers I have a story it isn't mine but it happened to my uncle he used to tell this story when we went camping and it scared the lights out of me every time I heard it we liveed in Utah and my uncle Mark went on Mission at 19 they sent him to an Indian reservation in Arizona they

paired him up with a companion named Carl when they first got There there was a huge Rift with the locals on the reservation about them being there they didn't want my uncle and Carl staying on the reservation grounds if eventually they came to a compromise that they would stay on the outskirts in a trailer this reservation wasn't very big and was located next to a heavily wooded area the first night they were trying to sleep when all of a sudden their trailer started to shake violently back and Forth startled and not sure what was happening

they climbed under their table for cover Mark could distinctly hear someone pushing it from both sides of the trailer like a group of people after about 5 minutes it stopped the next day they made rounds on the reservation and were talking to the locals Carl made a comment to one of the families that their trailer had been shaking the night before the family got very quiet and then told them they had To leave they thought it was strange but didn't think much of it the next night it happened again they awoke to their trailer shaking

back and forth again then they climbed under the table until it stopped this went on for two more nights anytime they tried to talk to anyone about it they got quiet and told them to leave Mark started thinking that due to the tension of their arrival the locals were doing this to scare them off The reservation they then went into a convenience store and were talking together about how frustrated they were with the situation the clerk overheard it and said they can't talk about it it's forbidden confused they asked him can't talk about what the

guy continued to tell them about the Skin Walkers he said they were evil demons that were once Native American Witches yet they talked about it the skinwalkers would come for their souls they just walked out there baffled they thought it was another scar tactic so that night when the shaking started again my uncle decided to be brave and and confront them he went to the trailer door flung it open and yelled hey when he did that he saw these three animals run off two were wolves and one was a bear but they looked strange almost

with human Features as he watched them run toward the trees all three stood up on two legs and walked slowly toward the trees making a human cackling laugh it scared him so badly that they called their mission president the next morning asked to be moved they were relocated that day for a year nothing happened one day they announced that Carl was being relocated to another city and Mark was getting a new companion Jimmy they had to drive for about an Hour to pick Jimmy up from the airport the road they traveled went through the boundaries

of the reservation they arrived at about 8:00 p.m. met Jimmy and were about to leave the mission president told Jimmy we are driving through a dangerous area at night so we can't make any stops if you need to use the restroom you need to go now Jimmy said I'm fine the mission president got serious enough to even freak out Mark I'm not kidding Go to your business Jimmy was insistent he was fine so they hit the road about 30 minutes into the drive while going through the area of the reservation a boundaries Jimmy started complaining

that he needed to pee badly the mission president said we can't stop here you'll have to hold it Jimmy kept going on I really can't hold it so the mission president stopped the car and said okay but you'll do your business next to the door and if I say Get into the car you better get into the car fast with a look of confusion Jimmy said all right open the door and started to do his business about 5 seconds later the mission president said nothing and just yanked Jimmy into the car and floored it Jimmy

and Mark started freaking out what's going on the mission president said nothing and just increased his speed all of a sudden Mark saw something next to the car on his right a giant Wolf looking man was running on 2 feet next to the car Mark looked at the speedometer they were going over 60 MPH and still increasing the wolf creature kept right next to the car for 10 minutes until it finally took off into the trees shaking Jimmy got out of the car when they arrived they didn't speak through the hall ordeal and said what

did I just see the mission president said next time I tell you to take care Of your business you take care of your business this is a story my f family told me when I was growing up we live in a rural community on the Navajo reservation my aunt and her two brothers were home alone while my grandparents had left for the evening to attend a chapter house meeting they were in the house and like many people from the reservation they didn't have electricity it had been dark outside for about an hour and my aunt

and uncles Were getting ready for bed outside they heard noises as if someone was moving things around my oldest Uncle went to look out the front window and saw a figure near the truck this was immensely out of the ordinary because the closest neighbor was Miles Away whatever it was opened the truck door and began to dig through the personal items that my family had left in the vehicle my aunt and uncles were Frightened by the sight and knew that they needed to take action they grabbed the rifle and steady themselves to hold it up

they flung open the door and aimed the gun at the dark figure the figure turned and started to walk toward them completely unfaced by the weapon my uncle pulled the trigger but nothing happened the figure Drew closer and my head began to smell something like a rocking corpse it was so strong it made her gag My uncle continued to pull the trigger with no luck as the figure came closer and closer in the distance headlights were coming up the road my grandparents were returning turning the figure looked toward the lights and started to move away

tucking itself behind a tree near the house my oldest Uncle ran toward the truck with the gun my grandfather got out of the car and my uncle pointed to The tree the thing was poking its head out to observe what they were doing my grandfather ran into the house grabbed a handful of Ashes from the stove rubbed them over the gun and placed an ash covered bullet into the chamber he walked out onto the porch and fired toward the tree whatever that thing was he didn't expect the gun to go off the gun shot echoed

and the dark figure began running my grandma chased my aunt inside and my uncles's and Grandfather went after it there weren't many roads or paths so as my grandfather and uncles chased after the figure the truck was bouncing and the headlights weren't fixed on one particular spot my uncle swears that whenever the headlights would hit the figure he saw a woman not only that whoever it was was running on all fours like a bear my grandfather eventually stopped the truck as they neared a ditch that dropped about 20 ft he got out and began yelling

At Navajo my uncle says that he was yelling about a local woman he yelled that he wasn't scared that he knew it was her and to leave his family alone a few days passed and there was me news that the woman my grandfather had been yelling about had passed I've always been told that if you know who the skinwalker is say their name and it will kill them being left alone at a house in the Middle of the Mojave Desert back around 1992 I was in high school at that time I was a sophomore and

unlike most of my friends in school I didn't work the typical high school jobs like McDonald's Taco Bell some retail job in the mall or at the local grocery store I was very good with my hands and work jobs like construction demolition flooring and auto mechanics all of my contacts were under The table jobs I started working on some of these jobs at 14 it was beneficial for both of us as I was only called and when needed I was the guy willing to only work evenings and weekends one of my contacts work doing remodeling

projects at restaurants bars retail shops and typical commercial projects that we could only work on after Hours like I said that worked out for both of us because I went to school and would sometimes work after school or on weekends for this one contact it wasn't uncommon for him to leave me alone at a site and have a list of things for me to do mostly demolition work I did this while the other crew was doing the installation or remodeling work I was the kid but had their respect because I did what I was supposed

to do and did the work of a man without Complaints I got paid well and in one night I could make more than my friends did working all week at McDonald's this one instance I got a call from the guy I worked for and he said he had a project for me and if I could work the following Saturday I said yeah sure and he said to be sure to bring food and lots to drink as there was nothing nearby I used to have a small cooler and would fill it with drinks like Cokes Gatorade

or whatever plus chips and a couple of sandwiches back then I could eat a whole pizza by myself and burn it all off he picked me up that Saturday morning as I didn't have a car or license you so you would pick me up and drive me to sights for work and leave me alone there I rarely worked with his other Crews as they were the more skilled labor guys I was just a tear out kid here is the part that was my major downfall in this Story I didn't pay attention to where we were

going I was too busy talking to him and I think we were talking about cars you see at the time my goal was to save up enough money to buy an old muscle car and rebuild it it took a long time to arrive at the site as we drove up it was in the middle of nowhere now you may not not think California has places like this but back in the early 1990s out in the Mojave Desert yes it was big plots of land and homes more than a few city blocks apart I nearly left

the highway and went down a few other two-lane highways for a long distance I remember he asked me about my drinks and he pulled out a brand new jug of water that he had in his truck which looked like it had been there a while and told me to take it with me just in case he said said that the water to the house I would be working it was Off as we pull up to the property he was in a hurry to drop off tools and get to another work site so I hurried up

and helped him with things like breaker bars shovels pry bars hammers brooms several big trash bins and a small tool bag that I often have with me he tells me that he will be back to pick me up at about 5 or 600 p.m. as there is no electricity to this site either plus it should only take me until then to do what I needed to do that was Always his way of saying I am only paying you until this time so you better get everything done by then it was never too outrageous and we

always had a good understanding of time and tasks he drove away and I was at this property all alone I walked into the house it was mostly empty my job was to remove all remaining Furniture contents and appliances remove all the flooring get the kitchen And bathrooms and remove all of the wood ping this project was going to be like what we now call a flip they were going to fix it up and sell it almost immediately I got kind of spooked by the place it was very odd now mind you I am used to

being on sights alone working all night this was the daytime on a Saturday and it was bright outside however the house was old dark musty and kind of cool inside the kind of cool That gives you Goosebumps to add to the spook Factor let me describe what I remember about the house imagine walking back in time to the 1960s or earlier dark green carpet that looked like matted down broccoli Pinewood everywhere that had a darker stain to it the wood paneling wasn't the kind used in the 1980s sheet paneling but actual board paneling tongue and

groove old window curtains that all Looked like someone's grandma made them avocado green sink stove top oven and the stuff that was left behind like old furniture and a closet full of old stuffed animals that looked to be about 30 years old the style of this house was like an old Western Ranch as there were Wagon Wheels inside and outside the house I had an old battery powered radio but I could only get a few stations I was just happy for the noise I started removing all the junk From the house and as I normally

did on project if there wasn't a dumpster on site I made a trash pile I tore up all the flooring next to my delight everything seemed to come up with EAS and it was ripped cut and toss I took a big demo Hammer to the kitchen and tore it apart in less than an hour I ended up using that big jug of water that my boss had given me to wash my hands and face Periodically but by late noon as most who know the desert the dryness also starts to take moisture from you especially if

you were working in it so by late afternoon I was down to my last drink and had already eaten everything I brought no worries I thought the guys should be here in a couple of hours to pick me up as the time got closer for them to arrive I was all done with my tasks I even swept the entire place and it was Now ready for the reab crew to get to work making this place look modern the time of year I was out here it wasn't a typical hot desert day but you know in

the desert as soon as the sun goes down it starts to cool rapidly I had a flannel shirt but that wasn't enough and it was starting to get dark this was before cell phones were common and there was no electricity water or phone service to the house house I climbed up to get on top of the Roof of the house to get a better look and see if I could spot anything in the distance what looked like miles down I saw a smaller road that this dir Road led to in a few homes but those

homes were all dark my first thought was to hike down to a neighbor's house and asked to use the phone the nearest house had no one home and it also looked abandoned if you remember the early '90s marked the start of a decline in the economy in recession so it wasn't Uncommon to see many foreclosed homes in a neighborhood I worked on a lot of those at the time I started to think about my options as Darkness quickly approached one was to stay at the house until morning another was to hike with with little water

at a few miles in the dark Mojave night and the third was to wait until early morning and Hike out of there to some form of civilization it also suddenly occurred To me that no one knew where I was except my boss I don't know if he told anyone else where I was and certainly my family wouldn't miss me until maybe Sunday night but I didn't even tell them I was going to work there they knew me how much I work to save up for my car so they never worried about me not coming home

as full Darkness surrounded me it was amazing looking out at the night sky luckily the moon was Bright I didn't have a flashlight or any way to make a fire even though I tried I was going to make a small bonfire out of broken up construction debris as the temperature started to fall probably down to the low 40s my only option was to go back inside the empty creepy house which somehow seemed even creepier sitting alone in the dark at around 8:00 p.m. the batteries in my radio which was my only source of light and

noise started to Die I grabbed an old wooden chair and sat in the living room of the house facing the door I started to hear the wind odd noises which I assumed were animals in the distance and what sounded like leaves cracking under feet I started to shiver from the cold so I set off to try to start a fire in the fireplace imagine Tom Hanks and Cast Away trying to start a Fire at least this was keeping my mind off my situation sitting in this living room next to the fireplace the house seemed even

darker than it should have been in mind you in the daytime the inside seemed dark so with only the moonlight I was pretty much sitting in complete darkness my mind started to play tricks on me I was seeing shadows moving outside and inside the house I was also starting to hear Someone talking like Whispers or something I got from my chair and yelled hello just as I did I heard something fall from the other side of the house house I ran to the door and went outside again at least in the Moonlight I could see

better but off in the distance I heard noises and saw movement but I couldn't make it out I had my pile of tools by the edge of the house ready for when my boss picked me up so I ran over there and grabbed Big Daddy it was my Heavy pry bar that I used in demolition I was ready to defend myself from whoever or whatever was out there I had had to keep moving because my undershirt and flannel shirt w't enough to keep me warm the wind was also starting to pick up and as far

as I could see no lights around me I didn't want to try to get up on the house again out of fear of falling in the dark but I climbed up on top of the gate just to try and gain a little bit of altitude to See if I could spot any house lights or car lights nearby my mind went to the stories that circulated at the time about how people would come up to the Mojave Desert and bury bodies how there were Satanist groups out here and how people would go missing for no reason

every noise had me on edge and every shadow had my heart pounding now I knew no one was in that house but I swear I would hear noises from Inside I huddled up on the front porch looking in the living room window expecting to see someone at any moment by around 11:00 p.m. I looked at my watch thinking this is going to be a long night all this stuff had only happened since it got dark I didn't know how I was going to make it another 6 hours until Daybreak I started thinking that the moment

it became Daybreak like when light first started to appear on the Horizon I would take the little water had left and walk East I knew that if I headed east I would eventually make it somewhere the dirt road I was UN L to a pave road closer to midnight I was wide awake my eyes were fixed on the dirt road thinking that any moment now a car would come down it and maybe they could call for help I remember casually turning to look back into the house as all this time I kept hearing noises but

Told myself it was maybe a rat or some animal I saw a shadow of a person move from the kitchen down the hall I jumped up from my seat and thought that is not an animal that is a human I started backing my way out of the porch toward the pile of tools and tripped over debris falling to the ground I got up but fell again it was like something pushed me down or my imagination but suddenly bright lights were coming closer to me as I lay on the Ground I jumped up and it was

my boss he was looking at me like what the heck are you doing I was just so glad to see him I wasn't mad or anything just asked him what happened he said he was sorry but he thought the other crew crew was coming to get me and they thought he was coming so no one actually came he said it wasn't until later in the evening that he asked the other crew leader how far along I was the other guy said I Hadn't gone to get him it took my boss almost 2 hours from where

they were working to come get me he felt really bad and told me he was going to pay me for the entire time I was out there he also grabbed a can of Coke from his cooler and asked me if I was thirsty I drank that all in one gulp once we got back towards civilization he went through a fast food drive-thru and I ate like I had never eaten before as he was driving me home I asked Him about the house I told him how creepy it was he said he didn't have any information

on the house only what we were supposed to do after that I made sure to always keep extra batteries a flashlight and double the amount of liquid this is an old story told to me a few years ago I was just reminded of it a couple of days ago when retali it and I'm curious if anyone else has ever heard of This or if it was made up by the person who told me I used to work at a Maximum Security Prison where I was in charge of overseeing the production of food I wasn't a

CO by any means and I was able to talk to the inmates very frequently one early morning I was doing paperwork when one of the inmates who was stalking something and I started talking about urban legends this man was Native American I Think nav but I could be wrong he will be dub storm for the sake of this story storm told me about a legend and an experience he had on his reserve about some sort of devil a devil called Hui he claims there is this handsome man with a tall white cowboy hat and Boots

who frequently goes into casinos he doesn't gamble he flirts with beautiful young women and lures them out of the casino once he takes these women to his Home he transforms into a tall creature with Shaggy go legs and long black hair his beautiful face turns into a mix of a demonic horse and a wolf with piercing red eyes he devours these women and leaves their clothing around his Homestead as a momento of his killings I laughed because it sounded like a typical monster but storm got serious and then told me that he had a close

encounter with hoofy and barely made it out alive storm and his cousin lived on Arizona reservation on the other side of South Mountain very close to my hometown as tro Mountain one day he and his cousin were drinking and trying to pass the time as there wasn't much to do they decided to take a walk into the desert just for the hell of it not much else to do anyway it was about half an hour or so before Sundown so the two of them headed off in a direction and enjoyed the scenery of the plain

desert they walked for about 15 minutes or so when they came across this abandoned church-like building it was old and decrepit with weak wooden structures that looked as though a stiff wind could break down the church the two walked through the church and up the back stepping over broken pews and the floor creaking with each step they laughed about how freaky and weird this old building was before slowly making their way out they walked out the Door and jumped over a trench just past the back end of the church the pair continued to walk and

laugh when they came across something strange storm says that he saw wide arrangement of shoes money RIT high heels black flats torn Brown pumps an assortment of women's shoes scattered around them broken and dirty clearly abandoned for some time storm picked up a shoe to inspect it when he turned to his cousin the look on His cousin's face was one of complete and utter horror his face was pale his eyes wide and close to tearing and he was looking behind storm storm was about to turn around when his cousin stopped him no he whispered placing

his hands on Storm's shoulder don't look up keep your head down man frighten storm followed his cousin's words he had never seen his cousin so freaked out then he heard it a pair of Heavy footsteps walking behind him the sound of labored breathing matching with the steps and storm felt as though his whole body had dropped 10° his shoulders were shaking when his cousin pulled his hand and stepped back slowly we need to go his voice was nearly lost in the heavy steps behind him but storm heard him just barely whatever you do don't look

back was the last thing his cousin told him before he booked it the pair ran as fast as they Could sprinting past the old church and heading to their Homestead his cousin yelled out need of prayers and hopes that some sort of ancestral Guardian could stop the Beast all the while storm could hear the Galloping of hes behind them the feeling of the creatures breathing against the back of his neck hot and sticky breath smelling of rotten flesh motivated him to keep running no matter how tired he got for he knew he would be the

Creature's next meal if he slowed down even a little they ran cutting the time it took to get home in half they safely made it back inside their home just as the sun was setting beathing the home in a warm orange glow panting against the wall storm placed a hand over his fast Beating Heart scared of what he might see he stumbled to an outside window and pulled back the blinds peering out into the Dusky landscape in the direction they had come From Storm could see the back of the creature walking away an 8ft tall

Beam with long silky black hair that reached its waist where human legs should have been instead was a pair of long gike legs with black stamping hoves that kicked up dust as it walked away this incident occurred in 1984 when my brand and I were on a 10day backpacking trip hiking the ray Lake Sloop in King's Canyon National Park it was the last night of the trip and the Following day we had about an 8 mile hike back to my Jeep at the gr's Grove Trail Head we were camping close to bus Creek Trail camp

but if you were Dearing enough you could cross the creek over a large tree that had fallen across the way it was fairly safe only about 20 ft across and about a 6t drop into the water but it ran fast and deep and there were rocks so you really didn't want to fall in you made sure to unbuckle your Backpack to throw it off just in case you happen to take a spill we knew there was good camping on the other side of the creek because we had done previous backpacking trips on this Trail before

we also new few people cross to that side of the creek to Camp so we crossed the creek and set up our tent in a cool spot we had camped at before it was located loc at right on the edge of the forest with a huge Meadow in front of us we went separate ways looking for Firewood wood was plentiful and in a few minutes I have returned I was just about to go get another armful when my friend burst through the bushes into the camp he had no wood his face was trained white and

he was white eyed what the hell is going on I asked him a deer charge me he said and I could see he was really scared what come on dear don't attack people I told him I'm not lying he insisted a huge Buck charged me I threw My w down and ran back to Camp well I thought he was exaggerating but eventually we got a fire going and cook dinner we were sitting around the fire and it was just before dusk when lo and behold this huge 10o Buck came loping out into the meadow followed

by his dough that's him my buddy exclaimed and we both jumped up looking at this huge Buck he was staring us down and started walking closer to our camp he didn't seem to be afraid of our fire and he Closed to within about 60 ft I was dumbuck I've been hiking camping and backpacking since I was 12 years old with my older brother and I had never encountered anything like this I picked up a large piece of firewood and smacked it upon the hollow log I had been sitting on thinking it would scare him away

this may not have been the best move on my part because the buck started ping the ground and Then began soering toward us in the moment my buddy and I were just Frozen in fear thinking oh crap what do we do now we only carried be spray with us and it was not handy at that time I would say the buck was with in about 30 ft when he broke into a full charge and then immediately he turned and galloped into the forest with his dough chasing after him we just looked at each other scared

out our wits like what just happened but wait that's not All after we calmed down and it got really dark we were just sitting outside enjoying the Stars still talking about that buck we were kind of enclosed by the Thousand ft High Canyon walls but they were set back away so we had a great view of the night sky I think we both saw it at the same time coming over the lip of the canion was a bright steady glowing white light it was really high in the sky far above the canyon walls and its

altitude was Indeterminate but it appeared to Bob and zigzag across the sky as it moved along it kept a forward Direction but it would slow then move at an angle then speed up move back across Ross and then slow again we were both mesmerized watching this light move its way across the night sky and it was definitely a solid object obscuring the stars behind it as it passed we were asking each other as it crossed the sky eliminating what it possibly could be it wasn't an airplane A satellite or any natural phenomena at least none

that to this day I am aware of we thought it might be a helicopter but surely he even if it were a th000 ft above the height of the canyon we would have heard it reverberating against the canyon walls it was absolutely silent when it was directly overhead I became acutely aware that this object was also aware that we were watching it and at that moment in my mind it felt either Sensient or it was controlled by something intelligent a chill went down my spine and I distinctly remember feeling a shudder go through my body

we were stunned into silence as we we watched it move along and disappear behind the opposite Canyon wall after it was gone we both looked at each other we asked each other what in the hell was that what did we just see to this day I don't know what we saw now I'm not saying it was an alien spacecraft but it definitely fit the description of a UFO it was definitely a solid object it did not look behave or move like anything conventional or anything natural I don't know if it had anything to do with

the strange behavior of the buck earlier that same night but my friend won't talk about it in hindsight that whole night just seemed strange like we were out of place in our reality As we know it when I think back and take into account all the theories and hypotheses of physics regarding the possibility of other dimensions multiverses and even perhaps that we live in a simulated reality in computer computer code I tend to believe we both experienced a glitch in The Matrix something definitely strange and unexplained happened that night it does not matter if anyone

believes me and frankly if it didn't happen to me I Would not believe it either in fact sometimes I question it myself but it indeed did happen other than telling this story to some close friends over the years this is the first time I have ever publicly acknowledged this I look at it like this each of us as individuals can only make determinations from what our senses and our Consciousness make of our unique individual experiences I can't explain it and I am Not trying to convince anyone else to believe it because it did not happened

to you it just happened this happened 2 years ago on the day of my 28th birthday I was working at at a small double-sided drive-thru only coffee stand about 30 minutes outside of Seattle I've been working there for about a year at this point and was always scheduled to work the closing shift during the week and the opening Shift on the weekends in the seven years I have worked as a barista I had never been confronted with a situation that challenged my feeling of security while working alone and despite hearing numerous stories over the years

of other Baristas in the area who had suffered violent or dangerous interactions with some of their customers I considered myself fortunate not to place myself among them Unfortunately on this day that would change Thursday November 7th 6:45 p.m. I Was preparing to close this stand at 700 p.m. like usual it was very rare that I would have customers come through this stand past 6:30 and because of this I felt myself jumped slightly when I looked up from the espresso machine I was cleaning to see a man standing behind the glass at the closed window beside

me adding to my alarm was the fact that he made no noise Whatsoever as he approached the stand and made no attempt to grab my attention once he got there instead he stood behind the window in complete silence his mouth awkwardly fixed into an unnatural looking smile at first I wasn't even sure he was a customer at all considering the possibility that he might be part of the large group group of transients and homeless that were known at the time to reside in the area and who occasionally Came up to the stand to ask for

free coffee or water for safety reasons I typically refrained from serving walk up customers after dusk but because he now knew I had seen him the rules of good customer service require to at least acknowledge the fact he was there so reluctantly I decided to serve him he introduced himself as Ivan he was around my age seemed reasonably well kept in the sense his clothing and overall appearance looked pretty clean and Despite a slight Eastern European accent his English was very good his eyes however were utterly unnerving his gaze made my stomach feel uneasy immediately

my intuition was alerting me that something about this individual was very wrong every red flag possible was beginning to show in my mind and I could not shake the Deep almost most overwhelming sense of Darkness that I felt coming from this person there was an evil in him that I Couldn't ignore though I would soon find out exactly why I was feeling this way after greeting him as politely as I could manage despite my growing hesitations I began preparing my machine to make him a drink however he didn't seem to know what he wanted to

order and I asked him twice what I could get started for him before I silently recognized the fact that he was very likely not here for coffee Eventually he abandoned ordering altogether and instead directed our interaction towards Small Talk he asked me where I was from how long I've been working at this stand Etc I answered each of these questions with short abrupt answers hoping my tone and clear lack of Engagement would convey the fact I wasn't interested in continuing any further conversation since he was not paying customer and because I was about to Close

after a long pause he asked soow so do you have a boyfriend annoyed I replied curtly no at this point I was completely ready to end our interaction so I told him that I needed to finish closing up so I could go home upon hearing this he walked away from the window he'd been standing at mentioning in his descent that he was looking forward to seeing me again very soon a minute were so past and he was out of sight he Mah told me That he was not however far away I could feel his Dark

Energy nearby and I knew he was watching me from somewhere beyond my line of vision cautiously I closed up the stand locked the doors and windows walked to my car and drove home by the following day I had all but forgotten the encounter I had with that guy and went to work as usual 7 PM rolled around again and once more I was just about to end my shift and close the stand I was nearly finished closing out the register when a brief moment of movement caught my eye from outside the window on the opposite

side of the stand I turned my head toward the area in question and there in full view of both me and the security cameras stood the guy from yesterday my stomach sank quicker than I knew previously to be possible and I was immediately very aware of how cold it was inside of that stand he smiled at me With a predatory like grin waved and then proceeded to pull open the closed window in front of him instead of waiting for me to cross the small distance within a stand that stood between us and open it for

him as I usually would and although he didn't present himself aggressively there was something incredibly threatening about his choosing to do that it left me feeling helplessly hopelessly unsafe in that moment and that was not a feeling I Was familiar with or as I learned particularly fond of once I was finally able to bring myself back into into a present state of mind I cleared my throat and told him as firmly as possible that I was off the clock and wouldn't be able to make anything for him as my machine was already cleaned and my

register closed out for the day his smile widened further as he replied it's okay I didn't come for the Coffee I came for you upon hearing this I noticed a shift in the energy building between us the fear I'd previously been overcome with now made a sudden and jolting transition into a redlining level of irritation I don't care what you came for I told him as sternly as I could manage it's going to have to wait until tomorrow because I am closed at this he chuckled a bit before finally raising both his hands in an

Indication of surrender saying all right all right fair enough his smile disappeared his eyes became even more focused on me his gaze intensified then I will see you tomorrow he said in a way that felt less like a statement and more like a threat I swallowed hard and once he was out of view I rushed to the window and slammed shut throwing the lock into place again despite not being able to Visibly confirm his presence nearby I knew that he was there and I could feel his eyes fixated upon me I left the stand quickly

and got into my car to drive home this time however he remained heavily on my mind for the rest of the night robbing me entirely of any sleep at all the following morning was a Saturday so per my usual schedule I got up insanely early to work the 5:00 a.m. opening shift I arrived at the stand 10 minutes To 5 and for the first few hours of my shift everything was as it would normally be 8:30 rolls around and it's now finally no longer freezing and dark outside as the November mornings here tend to be

the sun had broken through the clouds and was steadily burning them off as I was admiring the weather out the window of the stand I noticed a familiar truck approaching as it neared closer I recognized it as my ex-boyfriend Jonathan I found this exceptionally Odd as he and I were not currently on very friendly terms due to his cheating that ended our relationship about 6 months earlier he pulled up slowly to the ledge of the open window I was occupying and I asked him skeptically what he was doing here I'm sure I'm probably not someone

you were wanting to see today I know but I just wanted to come by and wish you a happy birthday and see how you're doing just as I was about to thank him for the Birthday wishes and inform him that no indeed he isn't someone I wanted to see that day I was still pretty hurt from his cheating I noticed someone about 100 yard away approaching the stand on foot it was Ivan I whispered quickly to Jonathan that I needed him to stay here with me even if another customer pulled in for service behind him

until the guy who just walked up was gone I could tell he was able to register the fear in my eyes And he agreed immediately to stay I brought as much focus into my demeanor as I could manage at that time and turned to face the window on the opposite side of the stand just as i't approached it I I walked slowly over to him and noticed right away that he'd been crying his eyes were bloodshot and a few tears tripped slowly down his cheeks disregarding his obvious emotional state I informed him he needed to

leave as I was not going to serve him Before my statement reached its conclusion however he cut my words off abruptly I don't need this anymore you can have it as he said this he threw what later came to recognize as his Russian passport into the stand through the open window I picked it up puzzled and with a mix of both caution and disinterest I asked him why he would no longer be needing it I just won I allowed his words to hang heavily Between us while I attempted to make sense in my mind of

what a gesture like this might mean if anything at all before I felt a strong bite of dread inside my chest the fear crept slowly into my throat before finally escaping past my lip Li and an audible gasp bringing Ivan the confirmation he'd been hoping for that I understood what was about to happen here no guest to a foreign country would willingly discard or abandon their passport unless they Intended to see to completion an act of absolute finality in an effort to sever the non-verbal conversation taking place within the loot gaze Ivan I currently out

on one another I glanced over my shoulder at Jonathan who now out of what the heck is going on look on his face in an instant he recognized the desperate pleading fear in my eyes this caused his own expression to quickly change to one panic urgency as he attempted to Understand what had just taken place between this stranger and myself as I turned back to Ian I noticed immediately that his crying had stopped his tears were now replaced with a look of what I can only describe as complete and utter insanity this is the point

where the Dynamics of our interaction shifted in depth initely God came to me last night in my dreams he began Slowly he told me you will be my wife you are my wife you are mine you are for me a sickening sadistic smile curled the corners of his mouth up in such a way it was almost physically painful to witness my heart began throwing itself violently against the inside of my chest as adrenaline searched through my system you are my wife he stated again you are my wife and now you come with me right now

at this he planted his hands firmly Onto the ledge of the window that stood before him and began to lift himself onto it realizing now that he was attempting to crawl through the window and into the stand I practically threw myself across the small distance between he and I and quickly slammed the window shut walking it he pushed his way back down off the ledge paused and then proceeded to give me a look that made me truly understand the meaning of having one's blood run Cold I felt the inside of me begin to quiver in

a way I never felt before an anxious vibration that was working its way throughout my entire body this was not over yet I understood this at this I then offered me a quick wink and began to move with obvious purpose toward the back of the stand soon I could hear a faint but distinct beep beep beep of buttons being punched on the electronic keypad that secured the lock on the back door I then Was trying to get through the only actual entrance to the stand in my mind I knew there was no way you would

ever manage to guess the four number code and I dismissed any arising concern that he would manage to gain entry not going to be that easy I said under my breath though I was unsure if I truly believed that a sudden realization ation I had spoken far too soon arrived like a dead we thrown directly at my gut The Dread that followed what I heard Next is something I will never forget it slammed itself violently into my present State of Mind with so much force that I almost fell back a few steps adrenaline immediately overtook

my system in its entirety and in an instant my vision tunneled as I heard the Fateful sound of the electronic keypad indicating a successful code entry followed by by the loud and heavy thk of the steel deadbolt retreating quickly back into the door All I could see was the door in front of me nothing else it was as if there were a glaring Spotlight Illuminating that door and the evil that was about to walk through it all else around me fell into darkness time felt as if it had stopped entirely I no longer had a

sense of it or the space around me in which I was currently occupying as the door began to slowly push open from the outside I could hear an almost deafening scream resonate Powerfully throughout the walls of the stand expelled solely by a force of fear as I stood there completely paralyzed I bore witness to the largest knife I'd ever seen enter through the opening door first followed by Ivan's firmly gripped hand around it it was only then that I realized the scream I was hearing was my own as Ian passed the remainder of his body

through the open of the back door and into the stand my screen suddenly silenced Itself before I continue any further let me just say that until you personally experience a situation that demands you to access your fight or fly response you have no idea what that response is going to ultimately be the type of fear that's required to trigger this defense mechanism in the first place is more than most people ever realize how you will react to it will be involuntary in this moment I recognized the simple Fact that regardless of whatever it is this

guy has planned for me here today I intended to survive it and not simply survive but I intended to execute a lesson asy clearly needed to learn never underestimate someone's capability to persevere or the fight that drives them remembering at this moment that Jonathan was still in his truck on the other side of the stand I ran to the window and screamed desperately through the now closed and locked panel of glass Jonathan he's got a freaky knife Jonathan's eyes grew huge and he threw open the driver's side door and flew from his truck towards the

back of the building then in the furthest corner of my vision I caught sight of a dark looming presence enter the small interior of the stand Ivan now standing no further than 10 ft from me reaped of an evil that overtook every inch of space within this Small building we now occupy together it made the air so heavy around me that breathing started to become difficult it felt thick and toxic in my lungs nearly causing me to choke as my struggle to breathe increased I then began to close the few feet of space still between

us by taking slow taunting steps in my direction his knife was gripped firmly in his hand which rested at his side but the look he had on his face in this Moment was so intense that it felt as if it were made of its own blade he used his eyes to cut into me deeply over and over again and spoke softly through the visual violence you are my wife you are my wife Ian ultimately only managed to take a total of three steps toward me before I saw an arm thrown around his neck from behind

as I stood there in a state of paralysis due to fear I watched as Jonathan pulled Ivan back by the neck With so much force his feet flew up from beneath him suddenly both Ivan and Jonathan were on the ground right outside the door with Jonathan securing Ivan in a headlock that proved nearly impossible to break away from Jonathan yelled strict instructions to hi not to move not a single muscle or he would choke the life out of him surprisingly Ivan remained completely still never once making any signs of resistance Jonathan kicked the knife Away

from his reach and told me to pick it up secure it and call the cops it felt like hours before the cops arrived thanks to the massive amount of adrenaline still in my system though in reality it was only a few minutes soon the entire area was overtaken by more law enforcement than I had ever witnessed respond to a single call before having moved very little from the place I initially stood since calling 911 I watched as at least six Cops to send to Ian at once relieving the grip Jonathan had around his neck in

forcibly more than necessary to my solid pleasure detaining him and carrying him practically hard tied into a waiting Cruiser apparently while speaking with the cops after being securely restrained and unable to flee Ivan insisted continually that I was his wife God had told him after all that I was intended for him I belonged to him God said he was simply there that morning to collect That which he had been promised this happened when I was 19 I'm in my late 30s now I worked at an oldfashioned local Diner in my city as a waitress the

job was fun and the diner was really cute with multiple locations it had a bar area and a jukebox we sold breakfast and lunch items and stay open 24/7 I worked the day shift with the manager and usually one other waitress the manager doubled as the Short order fry cook we had a few regulars who came on certain days at the same time they were old guys who shamelessly H us and made crude jokes they especially thought I was attractive as I was young and put a lot of effort into my physical appearance one day

around 2 hours before my shift ended a tall gentleman walked in and took a seat at the bar area I greeted him gave him a cup of water and set a menu before him which was Customary I told him to call me over whenever he was ready to order he said nothing and just stared at me smiling I asked if he heard me still nothing just staring and smiling at me I walked away and his eyes followed me everywhere he hadn't touched the water or opened the menu I approached him again and asked if he

wanted to order anything he just smiled and told me his name was Anthony I said okay Anthony are you going to order anything because frankly his staring and smiling were making me uncomfortable he stood up and said to me I'm going to marry you and walked out it was a WTF moment but the last hour and a half of my shift picked up and I kind of forgot about it on my next shift Anthony showed up again and sat on the same stool I brought him another cup of water but didn't bother with the menu

he started his creepy staring and smiling Again I asked if he was going to order something or just stare he just kept staring at me and smiling creepily I told my manager that he was creeping me out and she told him that if he wasn't going to order he needed to leave he got up and walked to the door before exiting he told me you're going to be my wife I went all like my shift but felt weirded out the next day Anthony showed Up but didn't come in as I was sweeping the dining area

I noticed him staring at me through the windows in the double doors when our eyes met he smiled and ran off I won't lie I was pretty nervous after that I had two days off and put it out of my mind on my next shift it was early and the old guys were there with their normal inappropriate conversations this was during the time when Kanye dropped Gold Digger and Surprisingly they knew the song Anthony walked in and took his normal seat at the bar I ignored him and filled the coffee cups of the old guys

as I was doing this they started joking that a girl like me was the type of woman mentioned in Kanye's song that I would never dat a broke man and that I looked high maintenance well this angered Anthony because he suddenly slammed heart on the counter and screamed at me that I was a Money hungry woman he said he hated women like me everyone was quiet and still you could hear a pin drop my heart was racing I screamed for him to get out now he stored to the door and screamed back I'm going to

kill you before running out the door well little 19y old me was literally shaking like a leaf in the wind my heart was pounding and I couldn't concentrate or think my manager Told me to go take a breather in the storage room I didn't call the non-emergency police number I spoke to a kind lady cop who took my statement in Anthony's description down they sent a cop to look for him but he was gone I told my family what happened and every day a different relative sat up at my job eat breakfast for lunch until

I got off work it was really sweet and I felt a lot safer with him there about 2 Weeks after that incident the lady cop called me and told me Anthony had been arrested on substance charges and because he fit the description I had given and surprisingly he had given me his real first name they knew it was the same guy he also confessed to stalking and threatening me she said I no longer needed to worry as he was going away for a while I thanked her for calling me fast forward a few years Later

I still worked at the diner parttime between college classes I was sweeping the dining area when Anthony walked in for a minute my heart stopped the same fear I felt at 19 crept back in and I couldn't make my legs or mouth move to my surprise he instantly apologized to me he said he was was really sorry for how he acted back then and then he was under the influence of substances and really messed up he hoped I could forgive him I was pleasantly surprised I told him he was forgiven I never saw him again

unfortunately all the diners closed down with the last one closing during the pandemic the last summer I worked as Beach security when I was younger I worked for my Lake Community during the summer season for as long as I can remember the jobs ranged from dishwasher maintenance worker to boat Tender my last and longest job was Beach security the lake had a small beach with a building that housed a game room a deck overlooking the beach a restaurant a small motel and a Lobby for guests of the hotel and restaurant I was assigned to check

in guests of the beach ensuring they were members in good standing who had paid their Community dues and to enforce the rules set for the whole area I would get a lot of complaints From this job from entitled individuals grumpy teens and others who were up for the summer it came with all the drama you would expect from a CW team drama show the story took place during the summer and fall of 2011 I had graduated college and promised myself this would be the last year I work for the community I was tired of the

drama and ready to find a real job to earn more Money that year I also took on the position of doing night Duty as Beach security for this I would monitor the property for three additional hours after the game room and restaurant closed at 11:00 p.m. ensuring no one was trespassing on the property I would mostly walk the property and then stay in the lobby area watching TV and playing on my Nintendo DS until my shift ended 98% of the time everything was uneventful but Occasionally I'd see deer raccoons foxes and even a black bear

on the deck I would also have to ask people to leave and or call Community security for assistance I should mention that I was an unarmed security guard at the time and didn't carry anything for self-defense One Night in July I was watching Adult Swim on the TV with a sliding glass door behind behind me that led to the deck the show I was watching went to commercial break and the screen Went black in that moment I saw in a reflection of the TV screen someone standing on the deck looking into the door watching me

I immediately jolted up and turned toward the figure just staring at him the guy was about 5' 8 in wearing a dirty black hoodie with a white Adidas logo on it needy blue basketball shorts and white sneakers with his head up I couldn't make out his face but I could tell he was a white male with bright red dyed Hair peeking out from under his hood he appeared a bit younger than me at the time he was standing still swaying slightly with his hands in his pockets staring at me though it felt more like he

was looking through me it took me a second to collect myself then I walked to the glass door and slid it open me hello sir I'm sorry but the beach and deck were closed for the night I have to ask you to leave the property and return in The morning when we open who did Guy long pause when is that his voice was monotone tired but jittery me that would be at 8:00 in the morning who did Guy okay can I come in and use the bathroom at this point I felt something much more off

about this guy I dealt with drunks people under the influence of substances but this guy seemed like he was on something else entirely and I didn't want to be Involved me I'm sorry but no one is allowed in here unless they're a guest of the hotel or restaurant both of which are closed for the night now please sir can you leave the beach he seemed to get a bit annoyed by that though his body language barely changed who did guide fine I guess I'll go find somewhere else else to relieve myself he then walked off

I made it a point to follow him off the deck and watch him walk away to ensure he left Instead of heading up the road he veered off into the woods he was out my sight but I could hear him dragging his feet through the brush and sticks after that I walked back into the lobby locked the door behind me and called dispatched to report the incident asking them to keep eye out for the guy at 2: a.m. I locked everything up on the security system and left as I started to drive out of the

beach area and began turning left a balloon filled with red Liquid flew from the woods and slammed against my passenger window I got startled and fled out of there I wasn't going to get out and see what happened there especially since I lived only 5 minutes from the beach I got home and checked out the damage my passenger door was covered in red paintball paint and the impact was enough to di my door I called it in and asked them to keep an eye out and check the area for The guy the next day I

was told that they didn't see anybody there but they received reports that the same thing had happened to other residents cars or houses I was angry but also unnerfed that this had happened to me in the first place time passed and it was fall the beach closed for the season but they still needed a night guard to make sure no one vandalized the property it was the week of Halloween and it was Also my last night I had gotten a job working somewhere better and this was the last of my two we notice I also

went to a Halloween party during the day and went all on his Jason bhe complete with a machete from Walmart I was wrapping up for the night and sitting outside my car talking my friend's ear off on my cell phone as I was talking I could hear some leaves rustling and twigs snapping in the woods Behind the dumpster I told my friend I had to go and hung up this was my dumb white person in a horror movie moment I walked slightly closer to where the noise was coming from it was dark but slightly lit

by the parking lots lights as I was looking the same guy I saw in July appeared from behind the dumpster his hood was down and I could see his hair was longer with his natural brown hair roots longer than the red dye That remained he began to fast walk toward me growling and his face was plastered with rage he had a black iron pipe in his right hand swinging it a bit as he approached he covered a lot of ground quickly I ran to my car opened the back passenger door I was facing grabbed the

machete I had bought for the party raised it over my head and stood my ground I don't remember exactly what I said to Him but I know I cursed a lot he seemed to stop and stood there for a bit after I yelled and shook the machete a bit he simply turned around and went back into the woods from where he came as soon as he cleared the dumpster I got the hell out of there I was going way too fast for the winding roads my community had I called not only security but the police

as well by the time they got there he was nowhere to be seen for years later I moved away from my community and haven't Heard anything new about the man or anything related to the incident I now carry a knife and still have the same machete in my car just in case I worked in the truck stop industry for about 15 years all of the following stories took place at the same location I worked there for less than 18 months mons if people are interested I have other stories from other locations but This one had

the most frequent occurrences of weird stuff happening I was given the opportunity to help open this brand new location and since it came with a fat raise and a promotion I definitely accepted it has now been about 5 years since the location opened I don't believe there is a single employee left who was there when we opened of the over 60 employees we hired prior to open opening day on opening day Not long after the ribbon cutting ceremony a woman delivering flowers dropped the flowers on her sandill foot she sliced her foot open bleeding all

over the entrance within a week of being open we had water and sewage coming up through all the trains including the ones outside all over the property it had not been raining it wasn't like a flood situation weatherwise we had no idea what caused It to suddenly happen and just as quickly as it happened it went away the plumbers were baffled a couple of months after we opened we faced a severe storm that destroyed the highrise Interstate sign and caused a 7-hour power outage I had sent several people home but kept a couple of employees

in case the power came back as we sat in the restaurant dining room chatting under the light of electric lanterns an Employee who was a local resident and had lived in the town all her life mentioned that people were a little worried when this place was announced to be built because this property had been rumored to be a Native American burial ground for years I have zero way to prove or disprove if that is accurate but given the events getting more serious as time went on it makes you wonder when the power did come back

despite several Steps I took like unplugging all the equipment to make sure the surge wouldn't fry stuff we lost loost several pieces of expensive equipment some of this equipment was critical and caused major operational problems for weeks until it could be replaced the first winter after we opened was the coldest in years it was so cold that we had to buy space heaters for the servers in the electrical room so the servers wouldn't Freeze we had issues with frozen pipes especially in the truck Care Center in the restaurant 6 months after opening came the first

death a truck driver came in to take a shower in one of the shower rooms we had sensors on the doors that let us know how long someone had been in there if the timer had been going for a couple of hours we would knock on the door to see if maybe they had actually left so we Could clean it for the next driver an employee knocked on the door of a shower that had been in ed for a couple of hours and there wasn't an answer she used the key to open the door and

the driver was on the floor he had died of a stroke he had been driving a semi 30 minutes before he entered that room the employee who opened the door was significantly traumatized the company did a great job Of offering support for her but she didn't last much longer after that a few weeks later came one of the weirdest things I've ever seen I was working on the restaurant side of the truck stop as the restaurant manager had quit after a series of bad things happened to her and they asked me to move into the

role temporarily the assistant manager on the stour side came over because the freakiest thing had just happened she Pulled me into the store side office and pulled up the cameras to show me what happened a small four-door sedan pulls into the lot but doesn't stop at the gas station side instead it pulls into the truck stop area where the semi trucks park the driver parks next to the maintenance shed which is located adjacent to the main building and very close to a large trash compactor he gets out of the vehicle opens one of the doors

and pulls out a Trash bag he throws the trash bag on top of the compactor gets back in his car and leaves the property I don't remember exactly how long it was she had fast forwarded the footage but I think it was an hour or two later when he returned he parks next to the compactor again climbs on top of it and tosses the bag onto the roof of the maintenance shed he then climbs down gets back in his car and leaves never to return an Employee who had been outside Gathering trash to take to

the compactor noticed this the maintenance shed is more of a small garage measuring about 20 ft by 20 ft if the employee hadn't seen him throw the bag up there it probably wouldn't have been noticed maybe ever as the building is as tall as a one-story structure once the employees saw the individual leave he went into the shed grabbed a ladder and climbed up to retrieve the Bag from the roof he brought the bag inside the store to show the assistant manager inside the bag was a ton of paper these documents listed hundreds if not

thousands of addresses across the United States under each address was a specific hidden location on the property where a body could be found there was there was no information about who the individuals were just their sex and the locations of the remains on these Properties the addresses span Coast to Coast but I didn't look too deeply into them I was freaked out and thought that touching the papers might contaminate evidence so we put everything back in the back the obvious course of action was to call the police which is what we did next now truck

stops are often located in remote areas along interstates for off vious reasons the town where this truck stop Is located has only three police officers it's a small place with fewer than 1,000 residents when I say the chief of police showed up it's because he was one of the three officers in the town he hated us as truck stops tend to bring Crime which meant more work for him he came in watched the footage and looked in the back the most frustrating part was that he didn't seem concerned about at all he asked what we

wanted him to do about it Suggested it was probably a prank and left with the items after filling out a request form for the footage My Hope Is that he at least forwarded it to the FBI a couple of weeks later a body was found across the street at a dump it was a recently deceased man who had been bound and was Ned because it was a dump they couldn't determine where the individual had originated from in the f weeks there was A second death on the property a driver died in his truck somewhere in

the middle of all this there was another severe storm and the interstate highrise was destroyed again we had another odd incident involving abandoned items but this one had a resolution a driver came in to show us that someone had left ratchet straps and small children's clothing folded neatly next to a diesel PP the combination of The items alarmed me so I reviewed the key camera footage and called the police I found footage of the truck that had left the items fortunately I got the one amazing police officer in town she followed up with me to

let me know she had found the driver it turned out the man had been traveling with his child for summer break but the break had ended and he had taken her back to her mother while cleaning out his truck he had decided Someone else might need the items he didn't think about how the combination of the two could raise eyebrows and was genuinely grateful that someone cared enough to follow up a couple of months after the first year mark the state do shut down the interstate exits off slash on ramps due to concerns about a

potential collapse business plummeted for weeks as construction Crews worked to repair the ramps and the Overpass during this time I was promoted to general manager and transferred to a different location I kept in touch with my former boss and the assistant manager for a while and the incidents continued a couple of months after I left two major incidents occurred though I can't remember which happened first one involved an individual who entered the building with a machete he was aggressive and the Employees were terrified state troopers eventually showed up armed with rifles and subdued the man

I wish I hadn't deleted the footage of them drop kicking him but I no longer have it the man had walked to the truck stop from 10 to 15 mil away the nearest town the second incident involved a customer who attacked a teenage cashier because of a misunderstanding over a lotto ticket the maintenance worker stepped into defend The cashier and the two men got into a brawl over time I lost touch with my former co-workers they both left the location so I stopped hearing about the incidents I don't know know if they are still happening

haunted portal to hell I don't know but one thing I do know is that now I avoid truck stops like the plague when I was around 9 years old my parents built me and my twin brother a Tree house we lived in a very rural Town in Washington state on 5 acres of land the house and Lawns took up about 2 acres of land and the other three were Woods The Treehouse sat in the middle of these Woods hidden away from the trails inside it was a basic Treehouse nothing too fancy but to my brother

and me it was the coolest thing in the world we always wanted to sleep in the treehouse but because it was deep in the woods quite a distance from the house my Parents said no but when we were 11 years old they finally said yes after we kept B taking them my brother and I gathered up some comic books DS's flashlights and sleeping bags then headed out to the Treehouse after dinner Washington summer evenings are pretty comfortable so we weren't too worried about getting cold and we more focused on having fun in the treehouse than

anything we set up our bags and then began playing Pokemon on our DSS having A good time as it was getting darker we switched on our flashlights and read our comic books The Treehouse door had two latches to keep it shut when it got windy one latch on the outside and one on the inside as we got into our bags I latched the door shut so it wouldn't blow open in the middle of the night I don't remember what time it was but I woke up to the sound of crunching on the ground below Us

I sat up and listened to my surroundings making sure I wasn't hearing things I kept hearing the crunching below the treehouse I woke my brother up and whispered that I heard crunching he reached for his flashlight but I stopped him we sat in a pitch dark listening it seemed that the noise had stopped he whispered back that it was probably coyotes and that we were fine Not 30 seconds later we heard the ladder to the Treehouse Creek with the way of someone climbing up then the door tried to be pushed open but luckily the latch

was set and the door stayed closed a huge thud came from the other side of the door along with sounds of cracking wood we stayed quiet too scared to make a sound the next sound we heard was a thump on the ground sounding like someone jumping off the last bit of the ladder and footsteps walking away after What felt like hours but was probably minutes we got the courage to Bow back to the house leaving everything but the DSs even though we were scared out of our minds we both wanted to make sure our DSS

were safe especially since I had finally caught Pia and my brother caught Diaga we made it back to the house in 2 minutes running the fastest we had ever run before the walk to the Treehouse takes about 5 minutes from the back door So the run back in 2 minutes was impressive for us we grabbed the key under the pot and opened the back door locking it behind us we both went into our room finally feeling safe we didn't want to tell our parents what had happened because we didn't want Mom to say I told

you so and now allow us back out there the next week as we were in the post office with our mom our neighbor who lived down the road from us walked in as my mom and the neighbor got To talking he told her that last week he found a very thin greasy disheveled man in his shed my neighbor's dog had apparently seen the man go into the shed and was barking at it when my neighbor went to check it out he found a man in there holding a rusty old knife luckily my neighbor had brought

his hunting rifle to check it out and the man dropped the knife the cops were called and the man was taken away I believe that the disheveled man Was what was on the other side of the Treehouse door looking for a place to probably sleep that summer night after that incident we didn't play at The Treehouse as much and only went into into those woods when it was light out from that point on we always took a knife with us two years ago in early March of 2022 to be exact I was putting something away

in my parents' room while I had a sudden feeling of dread my dad was asleep in There and I felt the need to pray over him I didn't ask God to protect him later that night I had a weird dream in my dream I had just finished washing and drying my bed sheets I was attempting to straighten the sheet by doing the flapping thing we all do when we hold the ends and lift it up and down I did that multiple times until I've landed on a human form sitting at the end of my bed

obviously I was freaked out and quickly snatched the Sheet off in fear only to be met with a pale like creature its face was sunken in along with its eyes it was pasty and thin it looked frail and I could see Its Ribs through its thin skin its mouth looked so shut and it struggled to breathe through its bony nose I tried to pray it away and it glared at me with its sunken eyes until I eventually awakened my heart was beating out of my Chest and that feeling of dve returned the next day my

dad had to go to work but he didn't feel well I advised him to stay home as I felt something was wrong but he went anyway he's stubborn he returned home after work and went to bed early without eating the man loves food so that not eating isn't normal the next morning he said his back and stomach were hurting badly I told him to go to the hospital right away as I had a bad feeling the Dream kept coming back to my mind and the thing I saw looked like a physical representation of sickness to

me after some convincing he went to the trauma hospital around the corner we live in the Medical District thank God he went because he had experienced an AIC dissection an AIC dissection is deadly if not treated in a timely manner it's a tear in the inner layer of the body's main Artery one basically bleeds out on the inside depriving the vital organs of oxygen and blood flow my best friend had one and he had a less than 5% % survival rate as he bled out for 3 days before surgery he survived which is a medical

miracle due to staying by his side almost the whole time he was hospitalized which was over 100 days I'm well versed in the condition surgeries and long recovery Period my dad was blessed as his was found much earlier his surgery was successful though long he only stayed in the hospital for the entire month of March the surgeon said his recovery was the fastest he had ever witnessed it was a terrifying situation especially that thing I saw it was a warning I guess a very very creepy warning late night scare a little backstory back when I

First moved into the state I currently live in I did a bit of couch surfing before finally finding a roommate we moved into a rather old apartment in the quieter part of the big city when I say old I mean reater heating electricity is so bad that running too many things in sockets would pop the breaker Etc I was the first to move in because my roommate hadn't yet arrived in the state they were moving from AZ I had no furniture or anything so I was sleeping on the floor by default I always Clos the

door to the room room I am sleeping in force of habit even if I am alone in a place one thing I noticed about the door was that it took quite a bit of force to get it shut no big deal I got it closed went to bed and now was that when I woke up the door was wide open I found it strange because I had given the door a little tug before bunkering down on The floor I didn't think much of it at the time until it kept happening happing after a while I

noticed the apartment started to have a weird feeling about a week later my roommate finally arrived and moved in on and off weird things would happen outside of the door being opened while I would wake up there were sounds of someone rustling in the kitchen footsteps long after both me and my roommid went to bed I would know if It was them because they always turned the hallway lights on when going to the bathroom or kitchen for the year and a half we lived there that seemed to be the only disturbances nothing major fast forward

to a year later and I had a friend from SE come visit for a week the night crept up on us and we were going to hit downtown the following morning rather early so we turned in for the night they slept on the pullout couch in the living room and I went to My room and shut the door firmly I passed out rather quickly I was only out for an hour before I was awake Wen by a creaking noise and the jiggling of my bedroom door handle I opened my eyes only to watch the door

slowly open and then stop after it was wide open I assumed that maybe I just didn't shut it properly but it still felt weird I got up closed the door pulled the hood of the hoodie I was Wearing to bed up because it was freezing in the dead of winter and curled up back in bed only a few minutes had passed before I felt something snatch hold of the hood of my hoodie and yank it back back is it trying to tug me along with it I went Stone still and felt my heart racing I

had no idea what was happening and I know I wasn't dreaming once everything had settled my nerves included I tried to get a little More sleep morning came and I went out of my room to meet my friend who was just waking up I asked them if they heard my door opening at all during the night they were confused answered no and got up for their morning routine I cannot explain what happened I may have been amping myself up of fear where it could have very well been a spirit in that apartment both are plausible

but it Doesn't take away just how scary it was in the moment I think about it now and then and if I'm going to be honest I'm so glad I moved out of that apartment later the year a pretty creepy experience I had back in the early 2000s in Japan a little background on me for context I grew up as a biracial military brat and spent the better part of two decades in Japan having spent years in both Japan in the US I can confidently say there's something distinct about paranormal or strange experiences in Japan

many on this subra might already know how popular spooky Asian stories have become over the last 20 years so read on to hear about some of the strangest occurrences I've encountered during my late teens to early 20s my friends and I had a naive obsession with exploring places in Japan Known for Paranormal Activity urban legends and investigating creepy areas this was before reality television exploded with ghost hunting shows in Japan such shows aired regularly during the summer much like October is the witching season in Western culture August is for Japan this became our motivation for

these excursions my story as a military brat Attending school on a US military installation I graduated in the early 2000s after graduation most of my classmates returned to the us to start college or adult life and many never came back to Japan since my parent is Japanese I had every reason to return it was December and I had just come back home to Japan after my fall semester at College luckily a couple of my friends had stayed in Japan after high school so I had people to hang out with during my vacation one evening I

went joy riding with my buddies we had no particular destination just driving aimlessly occasionally we'd stop at popular hangout spots for young adults hoping to meet some cute Japanese girls exactly how a couple of 19-year-old guys would want to spend their evening my friend whom I'll call Jay had a '90s Nissan Sylvia known as the 240SX outside Japan for car enthusiasts and was obsessed with drifting truth be told he wasn't very good at it still you couldn't fault the guy for trying that evening he suggested heading to asmo park near our hometown of Saka this

large public park had many parking Lots scattered throughout its crowds making them perfect for him to practice dcing without causing damage or accidents without hesitation we all Agreed and headed in that direction about 20 minutes later we passed the main entrance to asima park by day it's a pleasant public space where people come to relax Japan in general is a very safe Country and this park was no exception however some Unfortunate Events had occurred there in the past more on that later after driving into the park for about 7 minutes we reached the first Parking

lot it was around 10: at night we pulled in and parked I hopped out of the car pulled out a fresh pack of cigarettes and lit one up the evening was brisk I gazed around letting my eyes adjust to the dark as distant lights twinkled my other friend or also lit a cigarette and we started chatting about whether Jay would even manage to get his car sideways Jay pulled out and began Whipping his car around the parking lot as his car spun counterclockwise the screeching of his tires trying to grip the asphalt broke the Silence

of the night even now I can still remember the smell of burning rubber adjacent to the parking lot was a tree line leading into thick brush and woods the park is known for its Green Belt scattered throughout that night I kept glancing over my shoulder because I felt as Though we were being watched from the woods each time I scan the tree line though I saw nothing unusual what happened next startled me so much that I laugh about it now my phone tucked into my right pocket started ringing and vibrating I jumped already a bit

on edge from watching the tree line since I was back on vacation I didn't have my own phone in Japan anymore my younger sister had L me her Phone so I could be reached if needed thinking it might be her or my mom I pulled the phone out the green backlit LCD screen displayed restricted number in Japanese it seemed odd but I assumed my sister might be calling from a public phone yes those were still common back then I answered saying moshim Moshi how you answer a phone in Japanese but there was only silence I

heard a bit of static before a Japanese girl's voice finally spoke assuming it was one of my sister's friends I explained that I was borrowing her phone and suggested she call the house if she needed my sister the girl apologized I reassured her it was no problem and I ended the call as I slipped the phone back into my pocket I turned my attention back to the Ruckus coming from Jay's car it must have been no more than 10 minutes later when the cell phone in my Pocket began ringing again this time I was sure

it had to be my sister or my mother earlier that day I left home without saying where I was going or I plan to return it wasn't uncommon for my mother or sister to call asking if I had eaten dinner or if they should leave food out for me I pulled the phone out and once again I had a call from a restricted number I answered and this time the voice of the same Japanese girl was on the other End before I could ask why she was calling for my sister she cut me off based

on the previous phone call a few things struck me as odd I know most of my sister's friends and can recognize their voices over the phone this girl however I didn't recognize additionally my sister never mentioned anything about new friends her Circle was tight she wasn't exactly a social butterfly but maybe I was wrong my Sister is 3 years younger than me so I assumed this girl had to be around her age and therefore too young for me I had little interest in engaging in conversation as she asked me questions I kept my answers fake

I don't even know why I continued the conversation but hanging up felt rude suddenly she asked what I was doing in a park so late in the evening I almost began to answer when it dawned on me I hadn't mentioned anything About where I was or what I was doing I told her I never said I was at a park she lightly giggled and tried to play it off insisting she thought I had mentioned being in a park I told her this was weird said I had to go and hung up Jay grew tired tricky

in the parking lot and pulled up to us from the driver's side suggesting we change the scenery r and i h back in the vehicle and off we went at another parking lot we got again And jakay continued doing his thing this SL at soccer fields nearby and the lamps cast a comforting orange Hue yet the Eerie feeling of being watched returned I turned to my right and stared at the empty field beyond the parking lot fence nothing Jay parked his car and turned it off silence settled and the faint smell of bird rubber lingered

our started asking about the phone calls I explained to Jay and her what it Happened they both agreed it was strange but speculated that maybe my sister mentioned to her friends that her older brother was back in town G teased me saying I should talk to the girl but I protested having no interest suddenly my phone rang again it was the same deal restricted number same girl this time her tone was more aggressive how come he left what was wrong with the last Spot I asked what she meant she said you left the last parking

lot you were just at the hairs on the back of my neck stood up I had made a point to be vague never mentioning what I was doing or where I was yet somehow she knew something didn't feel right so I on up a moment later my phone began blowing up with calls frustrated I answered yelling what do you want there was silence then light static in a hush voice she said I'm at The field I see you I spun around scanning the field for any sign of a person my heart raced as I fumbled

to understand what was happening what do you mean you see me at the field I asked she replied describing my gray jacket my buddy's car and everything around me then she said she was coming over to hang out the line went dead I turned to J&R explaining what she had Said they looked at me clueless I know them well not to tell when they're lying or pulling my leg they weren't my phone rang again hey I'm almost there will you wait for me the girl asked uh no what is going on here why do you

keep asking me questions how do you know where I am who are you anyway I know all my sister's friends and I don't recognize your Voice I exclaimed in a harsh tone she replied I never said I knew your sister at this point I was was like what is going on I look back at the field but I don't see anything still on the phone with her I asked where she is she says she'll be there shortly I'm sure my friend sense the panic in my voice Jake Goes On by nobody knows we're out here

how does this woman seem to know our Location mind you this is 2000 and social media internet 2.0 and smartphone phones are not a thing yet people just can't get your location like that on top of that we're a few kilometers out of the way you just don't randomly run into people out here the evening is getting later past 11: p.m. and I have no explanation for what's going on my phone rings again and before I can even answer she asks if I can see her I feel like I'm spinning and jerking like a laundry

Machine agitator at this point both of my friends decide this is too weird or Yanks the phone from my hand and speaks with her I should explain that we all speak Japanese although I'm telling this story in English all the conversations are happening in Japanese or feeling like this is some sort of prank decides to toy with her he starts asking her what she's wearing she begins explaining something to him based On how he responds he then asks her what color her undergarments are but she abruptly hangs up or tells me he thinks he annoy

her enough that she won't bother calling again we all nervously chuckle unable to comprehend what just happened my phone blows up again same deal restricted call I answer this time upset but I'm cut off her voice is much louder now and I can hear what sounds like wind in the back Background she starts yelling that she's quickly approaching us and begging us not to leave her she says she wants to be with us suddenly I hear Jay drop a soda in as he stares at the field what is that Jay says in disbelief I hang

up the phone I look at both my friends and J motions for us to get in the car we all jump in and he Stomps on the gas as we speed off my phone rings again although I don't Want to answer I feel compelled to I take the call and I hear her voice it sounds slightly huskier she casually says it's a shame you all left before I could reach you Jay is driving frantically away from the park at the time I have no idea where he's taking us the car is silent as I hold

the phone to my ear oh well I guess I'll just find you at the family Mar where you're going to stop she says followed by a creepy Laugh I reply what do you mean by the family Mar we're going to before I can finish Jay sharply cuts the wheel pulls to the side of the road turns on the hazard lights and brings the car to an abrupt stop or nearly hits the dashboard in the passenger seat Jay turns and looks at me I can still remember the pale terrified look on his face he quietly asks

how did she know I was taking us to Family Mart family Mark is a Japanese convenience store chain found Throughout Japan I hang up the phone and power it off we sit in silence for a moment it feels like a bizarre dream I tell Jay to take us somewhere else shortly after we drive to a 24-hour restaurant that's our usual hangout spot where many of our Japanese friends frequent we just want somewhere Bradly lit and somewhat crowded to calm down as we walk up to the entrance I see some friends at a booth we walk

in and join Them after ordering coffee we start explaining the strange Occurrence at first everyone listens with excitement but as the story unfolds the excitement Fades and the atmosphere grows awkwardly quiet a female friend of mine I'll call her hon sitting across from me asks again where we were in the park as she asks I notice her making a contact with her boyfriend H he pulls out a cigarette lights it and begins to explain you guys you do know what Happened in asmo park right we exchanged blank glances continuing he says there was an incident

in that Park one evening a girl girl was walking through when someone approached her dragged her into the green belt and attacked her I've heard rumors about bad energy associated with the area in disbelief I scoff you're joking right without hesitation he replies no but we need to go to a shrine her spirit may have latched Onto You Many folks have requested an update and everyone deserves some conclusion to this story so here you go I realized now that I left the story on quite an unintentional Cliffhanger I forgot to take into account that not

everyone in the audience may have a similar upbringing to mine picking up where I left off my friends and I definitely thought that something had taken an interest in me I didn't receive any further Calls I'm sure you can understand that I had no desire to return to that Park to test any further theories not even during daylight it was just too bizarre and unexplainable it really frightened me to my core I was just an 18-year-old kid at the time I went and visited a local Shrine explained what had occurred and shared my concern that

I may have inadvertently attracted a urii a Japanese ghost unable to pass into the Afterlife the Shino priest performed a purification ritual on me I also received a protective amulet to carry with me if you believe in that sort of thing after seeking help from the shrine I never received another phone call my sister never received a call from a restricted number either I avoided the park for the rest of my time at home during that vacation a few years later I did return To the park it's funny because although I had forgotten or suppressed

those memories they came rushing back to me when I returned this time it was during a pleasant afternoon and no I never received another call perhaps the Yuri I passed on or maybe it saw on another unfortunate person who knows I had an experience in the woods one night almost 10 years ago that got brought up recently and I thought I'd Share it here I F16 at the time snuck out of the house to go smoke the substance and land in Massachusetts Woods at about 3:00 a.m. it's not a huge section of woods just a

small reservation in the middle of the Boston suburbs surrounding the local Reservoir I got to the entrance of the trail parked my car and made my way to the campsites about a 5minute walk where there were fire pits available it was a popular smoking area For teenagers and I was one of them I set up to draw by the fire I had made and began to roll a joint as I was rolling I heard something on four legs come up from behind me I didn't sweat it that much because where I'm from the worst it

could be was probably a coyote but then I already transition into two legs and walk with a bipedal gate that confused me then everything went completely silent no crickets no Birds nothing the the only thing I could hear at that point was the crackling of the fire and my own breathing then I became really concerned like something bad was about to happen I called out thinking maybe it was just a homeless person working at the courage to ask me for some food or money since it was the city after all I said hello and asked

if anyone was there silent still for about a minute everything was telling me to run But I stayed because I thought if it was an trying to hunt me I should Stand My Ground and make myself appear not worth the risk then whatever it was it talked it sounded almost like a parod mimicking its owner's voice and it asked to bum a light can I bum a light it said at first I was relieved because at least I knew it wasn't an animal but the way it spoke was truly uncanny I said sure but you

have to come out where I can see you you're giving me The creeps dude then it asked again and again three times at that point I was really freaked out and knew something was seriously wrong I then told it to leave and find someone else to ask if it was going to be creepy about it then it ran off on all fours you could hear all four feet hitting the ground as it ran away the Crickets came back the night birds started to chirp again and the air even Felt warmer that feeling of dread washed

over me and I knew I had to leave quickly I calmly packed all my stuff put out the fire and made my way back down the trail to my car I wanted to run but part of me still believed it was just a person trying to scare a 16-year-old girl in the Woods by herself I thought if I played it cool and acted like I wasn't scared maybe they back Off my mother always taught me to make a scene in that scenario and I was prepared to defend myself if needed I also thought maybe if

it was an animal I wouldn't trigger its hunting instincts if I just walked instead of ran but man every hair on the back of my neck was standing up that feeling of being watched is definitely real I finally saw my car about 200 ft ahead of me I felt safe again but I was still on Alert I felt secure enough to look behind me and sure enough maybe 40 ft behind me there was a male deer standing on its hind legs in the middle of the trail I froze I had never heard of a skim

Walker and didn't believe in anything like that at the time I didn't even know what they were but I knew something about that image was seriously wrong and I lost my composure and ran to my car I made it back with no problem and Drove off before I could even turn my headlights on to this day I'm 24 about to turn 25 and I have never been back to those woods or really any woods for that matter I'm definitely afraid of nature now which sucks the very idea of spending a night in the woods makes

me so anxious I feel nauseous it wasn't until years later when I fell into a YouTube rabbit hole in college that I stumbled on a video Describing skim Walkers and alleged experiences people have had with them in the woods that's why I truly began to understand why I might have encountered that night this stuff is real I don't know if they're as aggressive or dangerous as people make them out to be in the stories I've seen online in my experience it seemed curious and backed off I confronted it still thinking it was just a creepy

Person looking to score but to this day thinking about it makes me shudder and feel sick to my stomach I'd love to hear your thoughts on this I'd love to have this debunked even I love those woods and sort of wanted to just have been a weird person but I've heard some strange very similar stories from the locals about those woods and now I don't know what to think had to run in while stargazing I everyone I'm shaking and Panicking uncontrollably this started happening about 4 hours AG go and I've finally gotten home so I

want to write what happened while it's still fresh to give a complete rundown I live in Ontario Canada close to Toronto I heard on the news that tonight there would be a chance to see the Northern Lights again this past may I went and saw them and wanted to take the opportunity to see them again last May I Went with a couple of buddies but no one was available this time the plan was toy drive for hours to Al gonin Park hike into the middle of the forest make a campfire smoke some malaro and drive

back after stargazing I ended up driving about 2 hours before my friend sent me a text showing there was no real forecast for the northern lights so I decided to go up anyway in stargaze a hobby of mine I drove up another hour and at this point It's about 11:00 p.m. in the middle of nowhere no signs of humans other than the road in the pitch block I was on a call with my buddy since it was pretty boring driving up and I started mentioning how beautiful the Stars looked my buddy then recommended that I

pull over and take some pictures to send I ended up pulling over turning off all the lights in my car while leaving it running and standing beside the Forest for about 5 minutes everything was fine as I was admiring the stars and gushing to him about it right around that time the forest went completely L quiet there was literally zero sound other than the wind in the trees I immediately felt like something was wrong and went to grab my flashlight to see if there was a bear or something I walked a little bit into the

woods and turned on my flashlight I ended up hearing a rustling Noise and turned around until I saw this thing standing on its hind legs with a bright orange SL red glow to its eyes it was about 50 m away I started mentioning my I was seing to my buddy when all of a sudden my signal went dead before I could stare at it for a second it then started sprinting at me at full speed I immediately went into fight or flight and dashed to my car going in and Riv lining in until I was

doing 300 km Per hour I'm usually a pretty casual guy and not spooked by much but I was shaking crying sobbing and trying to run away as fast as I could before anyone says anything it was wasn't a bear or anything similar I started spam calling everyone and anyone I could until I got a hold of my best friend and started crying and sobbing about what happened while freaking out at this point he just Wanted to check in to see if I was okay and what not I started describing to him what I saw and

used the name of the subreddit I don't want to say it even in text to describe what I saw it was this super unnatural looking thing and it really spooked me right around here is why I felt all the muscles in my body start becoming sore and cramping up it turned out when I had initially dashed to my car I basically output all the force I could to give Away I'm an ex-rugby player/ powerlifter so my instincts were forcibly making me get out as fast as possible after about 30 seconds of saying the name I

saw the same figure on the side of the road following me with its head and glowing eyes I proceeded to H for ventilate and freak out more until he calmed me down and told me to get out of there I started looking for a way to make a U-turn but couldn't find Anything at this point I drove another 15 minutes before I could find somewhere to turn without stopping I started to slow down and made a u-turn before I heard this ear splitting screaming sound from my window before I Gunn it back in the direction

I came I started freaking out more telling my friend as everything was happening before I started getting as sinking feeling in my stomach that something was watching me I started to look all over The empty roads and saw nothing all of a sudden my signal went out again and I heard the screaming sound and saw a kind of humanoid body in the fetal position on the side of the road I then saw its head look up and stare at me directly I Gunn it again and couldn't get the Goosebumps and Sinking Feeling to stop I

continued trying to contact everyone I could to no avail I ended up trying to calm myself down with my Kanye CD and heard something tapping my sunroof I don't know how I knew but I knew something wanted me to open the sunroof cover and look through I prevailed and never looked but never lost that sinking feeling that it was there I would hear the tapping sound on and off rhythmically kind of like drums for about an hour until I reached a small Town at this point I'd gotten a hold of my friend and pbed in

my car I was just trying to get back as fast as possible and he's telling me to describe Elden ring more to him to calm me down after about an hour of paranoia I stopped crying and freaking out I drove as fast as possible to get home but I couldn't shake the feeling that they're still on me I've locked all my doors and windows and I'm still shaking like Crazy I don't know what to do and I'm freaking out update I can't stop shaking and the sinking feeling is still there I can't stop checking the

windows every 5 minutes update 2 get everyone thanks for all the advice and kind words just wanted to say I'm all right I've definitely calmed down a bunch and I'm safe at home I got motion detected cameras surrounding the house to activate a light when anything is detected so I'm pretty sure I'm fine for Now the plan is still to stay awake through the night and basically sleep in the morning about 2 months ago my husband 34m and I 29f were staying in a camper on a friend's property in Norther than Wisconsin one night I

wasn't feeling very well so I went and laid down in the camper and promptly fell asleep a few hours later around 3:00 a.m. I suddenly woke up and bolted out the door starting to projectile vomit Outside by the window my husband called out and asked if I was okay I managed to say Yeah in between rounds when I finally finished and felt like I was okay to go back and lay down I spent a few more times to get rid of the taste and as I looked up there was a face about 3 ft in

front of me in the darkness I stared at it and it stared back at me I was petrified I couldn't move but I was I was also afraid to take My eyes off of it I slowly started to move my head up down and side to side trying to get a better angle or a closer look and as I did so it began to mimic my movements there we were in the darkness of the forest bobbing up down back and forth slowly leaning closer and closer to one another as we tried to figure each other

out I stared straight into its cold Hollow eyes I could could look away in fear of what would happen if I Did it stared back at me almost as if it didn't know I was either it was too dark to make out any features but the face had the shape of a human face what I could see of the body from behind the truck looked hunched over and distorted we stayed that way for what felt like forever until I finally managed to call out babe yeah my husband responded there is something out here I Said

only slightly raising my voice what he asked I don't know some kind of animal I'm not sure but I'm afraid to move it's just watching me I whispered almost to myself he opened the door of the camper and looked out into the darkness where he asked unable to see what I was seeing it's right in front of me just watching I told him bewildered that he couldn't see it he grabbed a Flashlight and shined it in front of me and it was gone there was nothing there I never saw it leave I kept its cult

dead gazed the whole time how could it not be there I am still very confused by this interaction I know it was there I saw it it wasn't a dream and I know I wasn't hallucinating can anybody tell me what they think it was edit I don't drink and I don't use substances so I was not inebriated I don't remember all the Details because I couldn't see very well but here's what I got I couldn't tell how tall it was because from what I could see it looked hunched over and disfigured I don't think it

had any fur it was pale in color but again it was dark so I'm not sure what color it was it had big black s eyes like looking straight into a void it had sharp Jagged teeth and I don't remember a nose at all hope this description helps maybe it wasn't a skin walker Because I guess they don't leave Navajo land but it was really scary I should also mention that where I was in the woods of Wisconsin was not too far from the hanville Indian reservation in the n county am I but again not

Navajo so I'm not sure what it was the weekend of October 11th 2024 my friends and I set out for a camping trip and Lake kick on to State Park located in stoden Wisconsin while finishing up some geocashing on a hiking trail near the ouses we encountered something or someone strange you can enter the trail after crossing the path of another trail that leads into the forest the trail we were on Circle a prairie that lay in the middle and was surrounded by Forest the sun was low in the sky it had to have been

roughly 6:00 p.m. the sun Was just above the tree line as we started our hike by the time we reached our last geocache of the night the sun had just dipped below the tree line and it was beginning to get dark however we could still see without the assistance of flashlights suddenly the forest went silent the sounds of bugs and the birds that had been active all day disappeared then we heard a whistle a bone chilling Whistle our entire group froze and no one said a word until a second whistle broke the silence this whistle

was more fragmented than the first and in my slightly Tipsy State I thought it must have been a human whistle as it wasn't perfect in response I called out firmly hello hoping to understand why someone had whistled at us twice I thought you were dogs a voice said as it rounded the trail toward us as the Figure passed our group I noticed I couldn't make out its face I choed it up to nerves and being distracted we agreed but it was a strange encounter there was no need to panic still we decided it was best

to leave the trail this is where it gets even stranger all four of us kept our eyes peeled as we made our way back to the car suddenly a creature because it surely wasn't human appeared on the edge Of the trail nearest to the woods it was staring blankly into the field to our right in the flattest dest tone it said who's that guy everyone in our group kept walking as I nervously responded the same guy from earlier assuming it was referring to my boyfriend who was at the back of the group we had never

been so silent on walk back to the car constantly checking behind us and scanning our surroundings when we finally reached our Campsite we decided it would be best to wait until morning to pack up as we debriefed I told my friends how during neither encounter could I make out a face being a female hiker I make a point to note facial features of anyone I cross on a trail as a precaution no one in our group could identify a face in fact we all describe the same phenomenon the face on this thing wasn't human it

appeared as though there was a Blurt effect where eyes a Nos and a mouth should have been you could tell where these features were supposed to be but they simply weren't there given its whistle and the unidentifiable face we were convinced we encountered a skin walker however they are commonly associated with this area of Wisconsin that night at the campsite felt endless with an everpresent sense of being watched being spiritually inclined I took what I felt were the Necessary steps to protect our campsite ensuring a secure night's sleep 1996 Eastern Canada encounter with Sandown Cloud

at 5 I encountered spoke two and physically touched the Sandown Cloud at the time of the event I was four or 5 years old and the sun was beginning to descend so late out in at best my memory of what happens sticks out because it would shape the things I would draw As I Grew Older I was sitting on a large Boulder In my grandparents backyard it had been dug out some time before me to make way for a large decorative fish pond that by my time was rarely used except to entertain me my grandfather

had just gone inside and I knew enough not to go swimming in the gross water water it was at this moment I heard a noise to my right and turned to the right of my grandparents home was the neighbors mass of field I can't remember what crop they Grew but the Tall Grass at the time probably meant it hadn't been used in a while standing in the grass was a figure with a scarecrow pose arms out straight body his hat was con shaped and his facial features seemed wooden he had a Jacko Lantern face with

an empty nose hole but he still looked alive when he talked his mouth didn't move I could hear him in my head like telepathy he gave off major clown Vibes which I was comfortable with since both My parents did Cherry events as clouds I would say he was roughly 6 or 7 ft tall with wide shoulders he wore scarecrow clothes with patches of bright colors over pale brown and black but what he said to me was what your podcast rekindled in my memory and left me with the distinct knowledge that Not only was I not

the only one to have seen him but that this Vivid experience could have been something more Sinister he waved a wooden hand and I Heard a Voice say hello Sam we are all colors I remember distinctly that he asked it as a question and I responded with my name is Luke not Sam I wasn't scared I felt calm and relaxed until the end of the encounter he pointed at himself did a short bow then reached out into the field next to him and opened a door the door had not been there before and was not

attached to Anything I could see inside the gap of the door and the room inside was green with wooden chairs he motioned for me to come with him I remember getting up off the boulder walking with him through the door and being enveloped by bright red and green Christmas lights they were as bright as the sun and I had to close my eyes to keep from going blind or so I thought I woke up lying on my grandparents couch it was dark outside And my parents rushed him I called out to them they had found

me half an hour before asleep in the middle of the field having called for me and not hearing the answer when things got dark it was last year when I first started hearing about the sand the Sandown clown encounter and I remarked how similar it was to my own encounter I honestly believe they were either the same or slightly different entities since my encounter appeared on the podcast months ago I've been able to Process the newer information connected to my experience Sam didn't try any tricks with me like with the children from the AL man

Sam's voice wasn't vocal if that makes sense it was like an echo Hitting off something and hearing that inside my head rather than through my ears thinking it over I believe the full sentence was hello Sam we are all colors skip the Starlight the inside of the green Li has come up again in my mind I've tried remembering other details and when I sat down and tried to nail down anything else about it I distinctly recalled that there were two empty wooden chairs and two occupied chairs further back the door was see-through I never saw

a door knob I couldn't make out details about the other people sitting in the chairs but they had the same outline as Sam the Hat The head shape long arms and legs but details are just a void like when someone's face gets blurred to protect their identity I thought I would share my experience here finally as I feel much better about it than I did initially this happened in Connecticut United States in 2008 I think think I actually saw this thing twice the first time I saw it it was at night for context when I

was little I Used to always stare out the window at night the window faced a wooded Grove about 100 yards or so away from the house and I would fall asleep staring out the window because of how peaceful the woods were at night one night when I was about 8 or 9 years old I was staring out the window when I suddenly noticed two yellow lights in the w Woods at first I was confused thinking a car was somehow in a tree but as I stared longer the yellow lights Disappeared and then reappeared in the

same spot almost like blinking eyes as my groggy brain took a closer look at the lights I started noticing other odd things like how the tree these lights were coming from look thicker than I remembered then I saw it a giant wolf head in the tree the yellow lights aligned with the head to be its eyes this was when I started getting nervous and accidentally bumped my head On the window as I backed away as soon as my head hit the glass the wolf head suddenly turned toward my window the rest of the creature's body

began emerging from behind the tree at first it was hard to see because it was jet black and perfectly blended into the Shadows but as it stepped into the Moonlight I realized this wolf was standing on two legs the top of its head was a good 10 ft off The ground the wolf stayed in the tree line but it was still very visible from my window I could tell it knew exactly where I was even though there were no lights outside for it to see me by this point I had enough I quickly slammed the

curtain Shut and it under my covers waiting all night for the sound of a CL at the window to get me fortunately this didn't happen I stayed very un under the covers Until my alarm clock went off the next morning I never told anyone about it because even though I saw it myself I still couldn't believe it had happened the second encounter happened 12 years later during a Fourth of July celebration my dad and I were setting off fireworks in the backyard after the fireworks show was over and as we were packing up for the

night I saw the same pitch black wolf head peeking out from behind the shed It's glowing yellow on eyes were unmistakable the head was absolutely massive every bit the size of The 3ft Wide Window on that side of the house when it saw me staring at it it quickly ducked back behind the shed I told my dad there was a big dog back there but he dismissed it as coyotes well if it was a coyote how did it manage to stand on two feet and how did its face take up the entirety of a 3-foot

Window I don't know for sure what I saw but it matches the descriptions given by other supposed Witnesses of dog man until I see otherwise I'm going to say that what I saw was a Dogman it was terrifying to see it both times and I never want to see anything like it again my childhood encounter with a gray let me preface this by saying yes this happened when I was 7 years old I know that memory can be tricky key but I have Thought about this experience every day since it happened it's less important to

me whether this experience was real or not what matters is that whatever it was it had a significant longlasting impact on my life and the crazy thing is it lasted just a few seconds it was the night before or early morning of January 25th 1999 in central California I only know the exact date because it was the only time it snowed here at least in a really long time you Can still Google the newspaper articles about it anyway basically I woke up I sat up straight in bed and crouching on the bed when he been

on the bed one leg off the bed was a typical gray alien it had a large head and big black eyes to me the skin looked greenish gray and had an almost rubbery or just very smooth texture it had no nose a sliff or a mouth and no visible ears I remember it wasn't wearing any Clothing it just stared at me I remember feeling shocked like I didn't even have enough time to feel terrified that came in the days weeks and months afterward for whatever reason I just laid back down turned on my side pulled

the covers over my head and I guess I fell asleep the whole next day I was thankfully partially distracted by a rare snow day but I was also very aware that I wouldn't be able to go to sleep Without feeling petrified for a long time I thought about telling my parents but I didn't have a word for what I had seen I had no reference for it I didn't know it was an alien or a gray for lack of a better word it was totally alien and unknown to me it wasn't until I was at

a friend's house where their dad was watching a side F movie that had typical Grays in it that I learned to associate what I had seen with the word alien and that they were at least real enough to Be depicted on TV and then of course I started noticing them everywhere in shows movies art Etc I accept that this could have been a hallucination a very Vivid nightmare or whatever maybe I had seen them depicted on TV before and my subconscious picked up on it but it is the single event that led to a lifelong

obsession with aliens and unexplained phenomena sometimes I wonder if that was the whole point of the experience in the First place or perhaps that's part of the reason why they appear to people so stories about them will continue to influence our culture Mythos spirituality and so on this experience is one I have never shared with anyone besides my brother when I was about about 13 years old I lived in World BC one night I was in the hot tub on the deck outside just watching the woods and taking in the Silence it was Winter and

we had recently had a snowfall that left the snow about me deep it was around 2: or 3 in the morning when out of nowhere a very large wolf bigger than any I had ever seen emerged from the woods I remember its coat being a shimmering silver and its bright piercing green eyes as this wolf walked along the fence of our paddocks it locked eyes with me we just stared at each other as it walk Past both of us alone in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere what happened next still makes

my spine shiver to this day as the wolf walked past it moved toward our barn where our horses were kept it became darker as it entered the barn but the other side of the barn was still illuminated by a bright light allowing me to see clearly as the wolf entered the barn halfway through it shifted from the Shape of a wolf to that of a very large broad shoulder person the horses didn't make a single sound the person who now stood roughly 7 feet tall rounded the corner toward the open field but they never emerged

from the other side I never saw it again my brother had his own encounter with what I believe was the same wolf he told me woke up randomly one night with the Eerie feeling of being watched when he looked at his window he saw a very large Wolf walking away I can only guess that it had been watching him sleep the place where we lived was on Old native land our barn had once been an old schoolhouse where Catholic priests taught native children lessons about Christ it even still had the old desks and chairs inside

my brother and I both saw children's faces reflected in the Barn's window panes and witness lights turning On randomly closet doors would slam repeatedly for minutes at a time accompanied by the sound of footsteps and the unshakable feeling of being watched in my room I once saw glowing red eyes on the ceiling I had under my covers until morning anyway the main subject of this post and what I'm really seeking answers for is the creature I encountered outside that night after to researching The closest descriptions I found were of skim Walkers or Wendy ghosts however

from what I've read these creatures have deformed features or unsettling horrific appearances the wolf I saw didn't strike me as abnormal apart from its massive size until it literally changed form in front of me I understand that the term Skinwalker comes from navol lore and doesn't correlate with BC tribes but it's the closest representation I could Find to describe witnessed I know this is a long-winded read and I'm sorry I'm not the greatest Storyteller there's so much I experienced at that property and this story only scratches the surface the wolf incident though is something I've

never fully been able to grasp and I've always wanted some kind of answer it feels and sounds unbelievable but it's something I experienced Firsthand
