in a dive into the sacred Pages we discover the presence of divine beings the Angels although the scriptures speak of multitudes of Angels in the heavens their names often remain unknown our journey begins with the revelation of Four Angels named in the Bible each playing a divinely assigned role get ready to unravel the secrets of these four Angels exploring their stories and missions as revealed in the scriptures let's kick off this Celestial Journey we understand from the scriptures that angels are messengers of God they are also sent by God to attend to the needs of
the Saints and all those who are Heirs of common salvation the Bible records that there are multitudes of angels in heaven as in Hebrews 12: 22 the company of angels in heaven is countless however we are not as familiar with their names there's another objection we'd like to address regarding most references to angels that I've seen lately it becomes clear that the writers assume they are the spirits of the Dead returning to earth now according to the scriptures there is not a word of Truth in such a conception angels are Celestial beings created by God
they are not the disembodied spirits of humans Psalm 8:5 says that we were made a little lower than the angels we are not even of the same order of beings they were created before men when Adam and Eve sinned and were expelled from the garden an angel at the gate prevented them from re-entering this paradisical home read Genesis 3:24 Angels were specially created they neither marry nor are given in marriage as in Matthew 22:30 so the angels of God were here before men were made by God each of them except for the Angels who failed
and sinned with Lucifer the Holy Angels of God love their creator and Obey all his Commandments read Psalm 103:20 there are various orders of the Angelic host seraphim and cherubim are mentioned in Isaiah 6:2 and Psalm 80:1 angels are here to help people men and women boys and girls the Bible is a book of angels and throughout scripture we have only four named Angels this includes fallen angels and holy angels we will do a brief study of each of them in the roles they play according to the task divinely assigned to them let's start with
Lucifer the Fallen Angel Isaiah 14:12 referred to Lucifer as one of the angels in heaven before his eventual fall as a result of his pride and conspiracy against the most high when the devil decided to exalt himself we see in Isaiah 14:12 how you have fallen from Heaven o Lucifer son of the morning how you are cut down to the ground you who weaken the Nations for you have said in your heart I will Ascend into heaven above the stars of God I will exalt my throne and sit on the Mount of the congregation on
the farthest sides of the North I will Ascend above the heights of the clouds I will be like the most high Lucifer was a beautiful creature in heaven as we see in the Bible a magnificent creature the prophet Ezekiel described him as the Seal of perfection full of wisdom and perfect in Beauty every precious stone was his covering he was the anointed cherub who covers he was perfect in his ways from the day he was created Lucifer was complet completely adorned by the Creator to reflect his glory now let's move on to Michael the Archangel
Michael is known as the Archangel of God meaning Chief Angel scripture often refers to the Archangel Michael as a chief Prince of the angels in heaven Michael is one of the archangels in heaven associated with war you may notice that most of the time he is mentioned in the scriptures there is a battle to be fought Michael won't be mentioned men much when there is no war he is a spiritual Warrior he specializes in waging battles the Archangel Michael will play a significant role in the events of the end times as we expect to see
in the last days of Daniel 12 verse one at that time Michael will rise the great prince who stands for the children of your people please note The Chosen words in the Bible he cares for the children of your people not only not only is he the angel associated with war but he is also a protector moreover he may be the angel of one Thessalonians 4:1 16 of which Paul writes the Lord himself with a shout with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God will descend from heaven and the dead in
Christ will rise first in Revelation 12: 7-9 we read how the archangel Michael led the battle against the devil and the fallen angels and they were cast out of Heaven Pride made Lucifer try to fight against the almighty having found out that his plans were discovered he was hardened by pride and subsequently tried to wage war but Pride sponsored his fall the Archangel Michael and his angels fought against Lucifer until there was no longer a place for him in heaven Revelation 12: 7 and 8 report the events of the war in heaven like this and
there was war in heaven Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and the dragon fought with his angels but they did not Prevail nor was their place found in heaven anymore pride is the path that leads to destruction Michael is notable for his great strength when it comes to engaging in battles he defeated the devil and cast him out of heaven when iniquity was found in him again Michael fulfilled his ministry of War when Daniel Prayed for 21 days but the answer to his prayer was withheld by the Prince of Persia the Prince of
Persia fought against another Angel who would bring the answers to Daniel's prayers due to Daniel's persistence in the place of prayer Michael had to intervene rescuing the other angel from the hands of the Prince of Persia as recorded in Daniel 10: 1213 the angel finally came to Daniel and saido not fear Daniel for from the first day that you set your heart to understand and humble yourself before your God your words were heard and I have come in response to them but the prince of the kingdom of Persia with stood me for 21 days and
behold Michael one of the chief princes came to help me for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia Michael defeated the Prince of Persia and also rebuke the devil in the name of the Lord when contending for the body of Moses in Jude 1:9 Michael is appointed by God to fight in battles and he has never lost any the fact that Michael is an archangel proves that there are orders and rankings among the angels for example it wasn't just Michael who fought against the devil and his angels in Revelation 12: 79
but he led other angels showing that he is their commanderin-chief I would also like to highlight the fact that in Daniel 10 ver 13 Michael is referred to as one of the chief princes suggesting that there are more in heaven the Bible remains silent on this however the angel Gabriel if you've heard the Christmas story probably recognizes Gabriel as the name of the Angel who brought Mary the news that she would conceive and give birth to Jesus Gabriel is one of the only two good Angels named in the Bible the other being Michael whom we
just discussed Gabriel is sometimes called the Archangel Gabriel although the Bible never gives him that title the main function assigned to the angel Gabriel is to deliver good news to the people of God the angel Gabriel is also associated with good news he was sent to Zechariah the priest to deliver the message of the conception of John the Baptist who was the precursor of Jesus on a certain day Zechariah entered the temple and we see in Luke 1: 11 an angel of the Lord appeared to him standing to the right of the altar of incense
this Angel was Gabriel Gabriel gave Zechariah the news that his wife Elizabeth would have a son this news was strange to Zechariah as he said to the angel in verse 18 how can I be sure of this I am an old man and my wife is well along in years in verse 19 the angel answered him I am Gabriel who stands in the presence of God I was sent to speak to you and bring you this good news continuing in verse 20 and now you will be silent and not able to speak until the day
these things take place because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled at their appointed time additionally Gabriel was sent to Mary who became the mother of Jesus in Luke 1 veres 28-31 with the following words and the angel coming in unto her said hail thou that art highly favored the Lord is with thee blessed art thou among women but when she saw him she was troubled at his saying and considered in her mind what manner of salutation this should be and the angel said unto her fear not Mary for thou Hast found
favor with God and behold Thou shalt conceive in thy womb and bring forth a son and shalt call his name Jesus it was also Gabriel who appeared to Joseph Mary's betroth in Luke 1 ver 26 to appeal to him not to abandon Mary as her conception was by the holy spirit because every time Gabriel appears in the Bible he brings good news to the people Society has portrayed him as a cute and Flowery messenger resembling Cupid this is entirely incorrect when Gabriel appeared to Zechariah Mary and Daniel all three were struck with fear and seized
by dread for Zechariah in Luke 1:12 when Zechariah saw him he was troubled and fear fell upon him and Mary in Luke 1: 29 when she saw him was troubled at his saying and considered what kind of salutation this might be and then Daniel says in Daniel 8:1 17 he came near To Where I Stood and when he came I was afraid and fell on my face he had to reassure each of them before continuing with his messages now let's move on to the last angel named in the Bible most people don't even know he's
in the bible let alone that he's described as an angel the angel that most people have never heard of makes his appearance in the last book of the New Testament The Book of Revelation his name is abidan or apalon not many Christians have heard of an Angel called abadin they are mostly aware of Michael and Gabriel probably because they have appeared in various biblical passages abadin is the same as apalon and was mentioned in Revelation 9:1 which says and they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit whose name in Hebrew is
abidan but in Greek he has the name apolon in Revelation 9:1 abidan is not a place but rather the king of the locusts many commentators have identified abidan as Satan but it is more likely that the angel of the Abyss is one of the princes or powers under the devil Ephesians 6 :2 he is more likely one of those entities described in Ephesians although Satan has been called by many names apolon is not one of them abadin seems to be a demon working under the one who rules an abyss full of locust that will appear
in the last days abadin means a destroying Angel he is the angel in charge of the bottomless pit where the devil will be cast abdon is the king of the Locust that will come out of of the bottomless pit I invite you to share the video with those who can benefit just as we seek the truth in the scriptures this truth sets us free together we can delve into the wonderful and Mysterious World of the Bible and be a light to everyone in the darkness remember that we post videos every week if you're not yet
