on February 20th 2023 police were called to a YMCA Branch regarding a vehicle theft in progress in Wausau Wisconsin upon arrival the officer observed a male running and waving his arms to get his attention um so can you just point out real quick I just want to make sure I know exactly which spot you were in I seem to be able to articulate exactly where the vehicle was when it got entered you got there fast as [ __ ] I was running I'm impressed that you met he faced with it that's impressive yeah holy cow thank goodness you are yeah the male stated he had parked his car left his wallet and keys in the center console and had left the door unlocked as he usually did when visiting the YMCA a few hours later just as he was leaving and approaching his vehicle he noticed it taking off where did it turn turn right up at the stop sign yep I was anticipating which is why I was running dead straight I was anticipating him to make a lift because I was I was going to head the door off okay but when they made the right that's when I lost a whole lot of ground because when I got to the corner they were at that stop so that was so much cops in Georgia would have said the [ __ ] you want me to do wow I swear I swear man that's unfortunate while other officers were in route to the call one of them happened to locate the vehicle sitting at a stop sign when a traffic stop was initiated the driver of the stolen vehicle later identified as a 24 year old female named Kirsten began to flee [Music] speeds are 30. roads are slick no traffic foreign as police attempted to bring her vehicle to a stop Kirsten drove onto the sidewalk and sideswiped one of the squad cars during that process the officer observed cursed and behind the wheel and recognized her from previous contacts I'm gonna move up in front whoever stuck in the line pull up next to the driver's side oh cool if you went up to the sidewalk [Applause] [Music] Squad [Music] everybody else off the radio vehicle struck my squad toward Northbound first passing maple 220 199 I got radio focus on driving [Applause] I think well we're still going northbound on first yeah speeds are 35 roads are still slick very light traffic permission for PETA for Runner 35. 104.

discovered Kirsten had three open felony cases at the time of her arrest two of which were for vehicle theft I'm gonna put you in jail because you stole a car and fled from us okay well it doesn't excuse your actions what's up PD one car one female all right crystal coming out for me no such a healthcare center what's that I'm not familiar with the healthcare center okay well we're at jail right now we're coming out for me I can have them come talk to you later we'll take care of that later I'm not calling them right now coming out of the car for me Thurston come out of the car you say the end the owner of the vehicle opted to get it back from the side of the road instead of having it towed since he would be responsible for the towing fee Kirsten was charged with felony counts of taking a vehicle without consent vehicle fleeing eluding an officer bail jumping times six in misdemeanor resisting obstructing an officer all charges are as a repeater lastly her cash Bond was set at seven thousand five hundred dollars head over to codebluecam.
