[Music] hi I'm Doug Keck this is an EWTN bookmark brief just finished speaking with Kevin Simmons about his book on Pope Leo the 13th and the prayer to st. Michael the one you hear on EWTN after every mass and Kevin what's there didn't know about this prayer that people don't know about today already a lot of people the Doug are unaware of the history of this prayer and how it came to be there are many stories that have gone out and many I call them legends that have gone on about the history of this prayer
and how it came to be and I decided that since there were so many what was I asked myself a question which one is the truth if any and so I researched over the course of several different foreign languages and over an evil of a few years to try to get to the heart of the matter and asked the fundamental fundamental question did Pope Leo really have a vision and that was the reason for this prayer and ultimately I decided that yes looking at the evidence that he did have a vision but the contents of
it that's that's where it gets really interesting right and you have various different versions that were reported by various Cardinals and other people who were somehow involved yes least in some way and you try and sift through that yes so it's a bit of a mystery yes it almost reads like a detective not exactly exactly okay very good something our audience should be interested in Pope Leo the 13th and the prayer to st. Michael it's available through the EWTN religious catalogue ewtn or c-calm look for the interview coming soon on EWTN is part of our
