Luke chapter 15 now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus but the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered this man welcomes Sinners and eats with them then Jesus told them this Parable suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them doesn't he leave the 99 in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it and when he finds it he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says Rejoice with me
I found my lost sheep I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over 99 righteous people who do not need to repent or suppose a woman has 10 silver coins and loses one does she light a lamp sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it and when she finds it she calls her friends and neighbors together and says Rejoice with me I've found my lost coin in the same way I tell you there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels
of God over one sinner who repents Jesus continued there was a man who had two sons the younger one said to his father father give me my my share of the estate so he divided his property between them not long after that the younger son got together all he had set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in Wild living after he had spent everything there was a severe famine in that whole country and he began to be in need so he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country
who sent him to his fields to feed p pigs he longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating but no one gave him anything when he came to his senses he said how many of my father's hired servants have food to spare and here I am starving to death I will set out and go back to my father and say to him father I have sinned against heaven and against you I'm no longer worthy to be called your son make me like one of your higher servants so he got up
and went to his father but while he was still a long way off his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him he ran to his son threw his arms around him and kissed him the son said to him father I have sinned against heaven and against you I am no longer worthy to be called your son but the father said to his servants quick bring the best robe and put it on him put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet bring the fattened Cal and kill it let's have a
feast and celebrate for this son of mine was dead and is alive again he was lost and is found so they began to celebrate meanwhile the older son was in the field when he came near the house he heard music and dancing so he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on your brother has come he replied and your father has killed the fattened Cal because he has him back safe and sound the older brother became angry and refused to go in so his father went out and pleaded with him but
he answered his father look all these years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends but when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home you killed the fattened calf for him my son the father said you are always with me and everything I have is yours but we had to celebrate and be glad because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again he was lost and is found Matthew chapter 8
when Jesus came down from the mountain side large crowds followed him a man with Leprosy came and knelt before him and said Lord if you are willing you could make me clean Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man I am willing he said be clean immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy then Jesus said to him see that you don't tell anyone but go show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded as a testimony to them when Jesus had entered capernium a centurion came to him asking for help Lord he
said my servant lies at home paralyzed suffering terribly Jesus said to him shall I come and heal him the Centurion replied Lord I do not deserve to have you come under my roof but just say the word and my servant will be healed for I myself am a man under Authority with soldiers under me I tell this one go and he goes and that one come and he comes I say to my servant do this and he does it when Jesus heard this he was amazed and said to those following him truly I tell you
I have not found anyone in isra Israel with such great faith I say to you that many will come from the East and the west and will take their places at the feast with Abraham Isaac and Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven but the subjects of the Kingdom will be thrown outside into the darkness where there will be weeping and nashing of teeth then Jesus said to the Centurion go let it be done just as you believed it would and his Serv was healed at that moment when Jesus came into Peter's house he saw Peter's
mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever he touched her hand and the fever left her and she got up and began to wait on him when evening came many who were demon possessed were brought to him and he drove out the spirits with the word and healed all who were ill this was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah he took up our infirmities and bore our diseases when Jesus saw the crowd around him he gave orders to cross to the other side of the lake then a teacher of the law came to
him and said teacher I will follow you wherever you go Jesus replied foxes have dens and birds have nests but the son of man has nowhere to lay his head another another disciple said to him Lord first let me go and bury my father but Jesus told him follow me and let the dead bury their own dead then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake so that the wave swept over the boat but Jesus was sleeping the disciples went and woke him saying Lord
save us we're going to drown he replied you of little faith why are you so afraid then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves and it was completely calm the men were amazed and asked what kind of man is this even the winds and the waves obey him when he arrived at the other side in the region of the gadin two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him they were so violent that no one could pass that way what do you want with us Son of God they shouted have you come
here to torture us before the appointed time some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding the demons begged Jesus if you drive us out send us into the herd of pigs he said to them go so they came out and went into the pigs and the whole her bird rushed down the Steep Bank into the lake and died in the water those tending the pigs ran off went into the town and reported all this including what had happened to the demon-possessed men then the whole town went out to meet Jesus and when
they saw him they pleaded with him to leave their region Romans chapter 5 therefore since we have been justified through faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand and we boast in the hope of the glory of God not only so but we also glory in our sufferings because we know that suffering produces perseverance perseverance character and character hope and hope does not put us to shame because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through
the Holy Spirit who has been given to us you see at just the right time when we were still powerless Christ died for the ungodly very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die but God demonstrates his own love for us in this while we were still sinners Christ died for us since we have now been justified by his blood how much more shall we be saved from God's Wrath through him for if while we were God's enemies we were reconciled to him through the
death of his son how much more having been reconciled shall we be saved through his life not only is this so but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ through whom we have now received reconciliation therefore just as Sin entered the world through one man and death through sin and in this way death came to all people because all sinned to be sure sin was in the world before the law was given but sin is not charged against anyone's account where there is no law nevertheless death reigned from the time of Adam
to the time of Moses even over those who did not sin by breaking a command as did Adam who is a pattern of the one to come but the gift is not like the trespass for if the many died by the trespass of the one man how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man Jesus Christ overflow to the many nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man's sin the Judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation but the gift followed many
trespasses and brought justification for If by the trespass of the one man death reigned through that one man how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of Grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ consequently just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people so also one righteous Act resulted in justification and life for all people for just as through the Disobedience of the one man the many were made Sinners so also Through The Obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous
the law was brought in so that the trespass might increase but where sin increased Grace increased all the more so that just as Sin reigned in death so also Grace might Reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ Our Lord Hosea chapter 14 return Israel to the Lord your God your sins have been your downfall take words with you and return to the Lord say to him forgive all our sins and receive us graciously that we may offer the fruit of our lips Assyria cannot save us we will not Mount war horses we
will never again say our Gods to what our own hands have made for in you the fatherless find compassion I will heal their waywardness and love them freely for my anger has turned away from them I will be like the Dew to Israel he will Blossom like a lily like a Cedar of Lebanon he will will send down his roots his young choots will grow his Splendor will be like an olive tree his fragrance like a Cedar of Lebanon people will dwell again in his shade they will flourish like the corn they will Blossom like
the vine Israel's Fame will be like the wine of Lebanon Ephraim what more have I to do with Idols I will answer him and care for him I am like a flourishing Juniper you your fruitfulness comes from me who is wise let them realize these things who is Discerning let them understand the ways of the Lord are right the righteous walk in them but the rebellious stumble in them John chter 3 now there was a Pharisee a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling Council he came to Jesus at night and
said Rabbi we know that you are a teacher who has come from God for no one could perform the signs you're doing if God were not with him Jesus replied very truly I tell you no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again how can someone be born when they're old Nicodemus asked surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother's womb to born Jesus answered very truly I tell you no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the spirit flesh gives birth to
flesh but the spirit gives birth to Spirit you should not be surprised by saying You must be born again the wind blows wherever it pleases you hear its sound but you cannot tell where it comes from or where where it is going so it is with everyone born of the spirit how can this be Nicodemus asked you are Israel's teacher said Jesus and do you not understand these things very truly I tell you we speak of what we know and we testify to what we have seen but still you people do not accept our testimony
I have spoken to you of Earthly things and you do not believe how then would will you believe if I speak of heavenly things no one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from Heaven the son of man just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness so the son of man must be lifted up that everyone who believes may have eternal life in him for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life for God
did not send his son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through him whoever believes in him is not condemned but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's one and only son this is the verdict light has come into the world but people love Darkness instead of light because because their deeds were evil everyone who does evil hates the light and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed but whoever lives by the truth comes
into the light so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God after this Jesus and his disciples went out into the Judean Countryside where he spent some time with them and baptized now John also was baptizing at Enon near Salem because there was plenty of water and people were coming and being baptized this was before John was put in prison an argument developed between some of John's disciples and a certain Jew over the matter of ceremonial washing they came to John and said to him
Rabbi that man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan the one you testified about look he is baptizing and everyone is going to him to this John replied A person can receive only what is given them from Heaven you yourselves can testify that I said I am not the Messiah but am sent ahead of him the bride belongs to the bridegroom the friend who attends the bridegroom Waits and listens for him and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom's voice that Joy is mine and it is now complete he
must become greater I must become less the one who comes from above is above all the one who is from Earth belongs to the Earth and speaks as one from the earth the one who comes from Heaven is above all he testifies to what he has seen and heard but no one accepts his testimony Whoever has accepted it has certified that God is truthful for the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God for God gives the spirit without limit The Father loves the son and has placed everything in his hands whoever believes
in the sun has eternal life but whoever rejects the sun will not see life for God's Wrath remains on them
