uh uh my name is naid Islam and I am a student of Quran I am not a scholar I'm not any special person I'm just an ordinary student of Quran and I like to explore and find out and study Quran and try to understand it the way I think Allah has taught us that we should try to understand Quran today I'm going to present uh some of uh very interesting points relating to Surah FAA which you might are might not have considered before uh this word uh this uh Surah or chapter of Quran is the
first chapter of Quran and is called Surah FAA means the opener starts with the first verse asman I'm not going to concentrate on translating rather trying to highlight some interesting point which I uh mentioned a few seconds ago and uh definitely in the course of that uh small small deliberation I I would uh have to translate some of the things but the main focus is on trying to understand Surah fa and its connection and its significance in Quran not the translation so bahman simply means with the name of Allah who is Al Rahman and Al
raheim the most merciful the mo the most beneficient and most merciful if we can understand Surah fa because this is opener of the Quran so it means we will most likely we should most likely have a better understanding of the Quran just by understanding the opener of the Quran which is Surah fa the first chapter I try to use the word signs so bman is the first sign of Quran I do not try to use the word worse sometime it slips because we have been used to it but anyway the first sign of Quran is
bis in which we are saying we starting it with the name of Allah who is most beneficient and merciful and then we describe three primary most significant characteristics of Allah who is the sustainer of The Words alhamdulillah which means that all the Praises are for Allah who is sustainer of the words Alman is the most beneficient and most merciful Malik the honor of the day of judgment and after describing this we use a word I is used as I have understood and learned in Arabic language for relating the sentence to something that we just said
and and what we said we described these four signs the first four signs of Quran starting with bah to Malik that you are the one you are the only one we worship now Allah does not need our worship I mean he does not need just the worship the way normally Muslims understand what he needs is our complete obedience in so we are saying you are the only one we are slave of what a slave does slave completely follows the directions given by the master given by his master so we are only you we are slave
and you are the only one we ask for help meaning we are only your slave and we only ask you for help because if we only are your slave we definitely should ask only for your help because we do we are not slave of anyone else so it the nabudu which is slavery in includes everything it includes the ritual prayers the fasting uh the charity to the people who deserve the people who cannot sustain themselves in the society and it also includes following all the commands of Allah not just the worship as we think so
Abad this the the basic word is ab ab ab means a slave we are your slave we do your slavery only you are the only one we do slavery of and you are the only one we ask for help so after saying and describing these uh attribut and why we should ask we we are your slave we are asking for your help there and therefore guide us to the state path guide us give us guidance to the straight path and then immediately and this you will see and you will notice and and in future videos
if I create them and hopefully I will I will highlight this same um phenomena of Quran that when something is described like hiat uh or the guidance immediately it will be explained immediately after that or somewhere else most likely immediately what is the guidance to the straight path what is the straight path what is the straight path now we can see here what isim the path of those who were favored not the path of Those whom Allah was unhappy who whom Allah was angry with and not of those who lost their way so here we
asked for the straight path here the path is defined clear distinction not of these two we want the path of these to be guided to be guided we need we are asking for Allah please guide us to the straight path this path not of this path and not of this path and probably you might have already noticed that in Quran is the book of guidance and the Book of guidance includes uh commands from the Allah and examples examples of those people who were blessed by The Blessings by the favors of Allah and the people who
were Allah who with whom Allah was not happy and who had lost their way so the main thing what I am the main thing what we are asking is the OWN only question the only pray for which these are prerequisites because we have to understand and recognize all these things before we can ask for the state state path the guidance to the state path and then definition of the guidance now we say Surah fa five times every day so if we know what we are asking for why we are asking for and what kind of
gu guidance we are asking for means we are asking for the guidance that was given to the prophets of God the same guidance and if we try every day and if we try every day five times and we are thinking sincerely and and the meaning of these uh powerful signs of Allah is in our mind we will definitely gu get the guidance and how soon Allah accepts the prayer we cannot even imagine and look here as soon as we finish the Surah FAA immediately if we did it with our sincerity we immediately have our prayers
AC accepted and look how our prayers is accepted alif Lam M second chapter of Quran Surah Bak the first verse the second verse so that book now normally is translated as this book it cannot be this book because this zalika is pointing to Surah FAA our prayer which is here and as I said that as soon as we finish Surah fatia we have our prayer listened by God and we got the guidance in the form of a whole book Quran that book that book in which there is no doubt that it is from Allah and
why I'm saying it because there is simple reason for that Surah uh chapter number 32 verse number two this book book there is no doubt in it that this is sent down by the sustainer of the words so you can see the same words there is no doubt in this book that it is sent down by the sustainer of the word so it does not mean that there is no doubt in it of course since it is sent by the lord of the words the ster of the words there can be no doubt in it
but this doesn't really mean it it means that it is from it is sent down by the Allah who is sustainer of the words and then it is guidance for the guidance for theut now guidance only for the mut uh simply means without going into linguistic and grammatical analysis and Arabic details it simply means the people who are conscious of Allah conscious of what conscious of uh conscious of the fact that they should not disobey the commands of Allah that what really means and then Allah further explains it here starting from the verse number 2
3 and 4 further explanation for whom is this guidance it is guidance for the mut what are the mut those people who believe in the which is the Unseen who are steadfast in the prayer they constantly stand up in the prayer um means that whatever we have given to them means whatever God or Allah has given to them they spend out of it for the other people who cannot sustain themselves so and further definition and those who believe which is sent down to you and which was sent down before you means the which whatever was
sent down before uh to the other prophets uh which were before Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam so this ala is specifically for uh the prophet but remember that the subject of the Quran is the reader so in a way definitely here it means it's being addressed to Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam but when we are reading it it is being addressed to us directly those people uh but definitely um we have not received a book but that the book in a sense we have received through prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam so it has reached to
us through the prophet and we have to believe in it in order to get the guidance and and what was sent down before before Prophet Muhammad and and they are certain about the life after the day of judgment um the the Hereafter those are the people who are on the guidance from their sustainer and they are the ones who are successful so very briefly Allah has told us that this is the that is the book in which there is no doubt that it is from the sustainer of the words and it is guidance but only
for the people who are conscious of not this obeying him and also further defined they should believe in the unseen they should be constant in prayer and they should be spending from whatever Allah has provided them they should also believe on whatever was sent down to Prophet Muhammad which is Quran and they also Must Believe on whatever was sent down before Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam and they should also be certain about the life of after um on the day of judgment or after that uh and AA those are the ones who are on guidance
so this guidance is conditional based on being mut means conscious of God not disappointing him and they should also fulfill these all these conditions they are the one who are guided and they are the one who will be who are successful so it's not my purpose to explain Surah Bak for now uh at least now uh not right now but I wanted to connect and I wanted to show my understanding that how Surah FAA is connected as an opener and it opens and is acts as a key to the whole Quran and provides us the
guidance based on the conditions defined here and we can only get the guidance if we fulfill these conditions and if we have this understanding and if we recite it five times every day throughout our life with a good understanding and being conscious of God we will get the guidance so that's all for now assalamu alaykum
