I want to give you a graphic illustration of something before I get into the teaching tonight because there's some of you here that have done the very thing that you're going to see me do here on stage tonight in a different manner come on up here John now here's you know the faith and confession message and the prosperity message over the last two years has been under seeds by the Pharisees of our day like no other time that I can remember but you know if you don't know any better just can't do any better and
there's a lot of people that when they hear the message they misunderstand it you don't always know how people heard you or what image they got when they heard you and I want to give you an illustration of why people do foolish things sometimes and call it faith and John now what I want you to do I want you to look at this wall over here and now I'm a fellow that came from a South Sea Island I've never seen a coat in my life it's always been warm where I lived and and I've come
over here to visit you and you've left me in your apartment or in your house and you had the air condition turned down and I called you you showed me how to dial that phone and I called you said I'm cold what do I do and now you tell me how to put this coat on I now remember I've never seen a coat in my life I have no idea how to put it on first of all Charles pick it up got it and get that uh silky looking uh soft side toward you okay make
sure that um those holes in those things hang down and Report toward the floor okay okay they're pumping through the floor okay enough grab it by your hands yeah I got the shoulders you know what the shoulders shoulders no I don't know about the shoulders but I know what these long things are I can see them yeah just put that thing on the bed and jump under the covers [Laughter] no now turn around tell me how to put this thing on tell me how to put it on these long things what do I do with
them I tell you I think you just better pray [Music] that well do I put my arms in these long things or something yeah oh okay okay I got you [Applause] now now do I do I throw it over my shoulders or something it's dark in here well I don't know how this thing working out John well it won't work for somebody that's ignorance [Applause] would you suggest I go to school and learn how to put this on it thank you thank you John thank you now you see about anything that he would tell you
there wouldn't be anything wrong with what he said but it's the way the individual understood it see if you don't know anything about it then what was said May mean something all together different to you that's why you have to hear and hear and hear and you say it one way and you say it another way and you say it another way and that's why you hear me say on my tapes and in my teaching I'm going to say this in many ways you're going to get it because there's a lot of people trying to
put the faith message on the same way I was trying to put this coat on I want you to open your Bibles with us tonight to Romans the fourth chapter verse 16. I I'm sorry verse 13. for the promise that he should be heir of the world was not to Abraham or his seed through the law but through the righteousness of faith now notice this promise was not to Abraham or his seed through the law but through the righteousness of faith and in the 70s the word of faith was taught in this nation as never
before and people got a hold of it it's time now for us to begin to put into action and begin to live out what we learned and use the righteousness which is a faith to enter into this promise and become Heirs of that which God has given us he hath given unto us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory and virtue whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises that by these ye might be the takers of the divine nature didn't say
you would be said you might be you can become a partaker of the divine nature through the promises of God so the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth Proverbs says in what the Lord was showing me that there is coming you see seven years of tribulation now you know there's always argument well are we going through the tribulation are we not going through the tribulation you know somebody said well we're we're going through it somebody says we're not well I don't know they might both be right because Jesus said unto them that look for
him shall he appear those that say they are and those that say they're not may be both right I don't know what I'm saying is I'm going you stay if you want to but Jesus said as you believe so shall it be but now here's the path the Lord begins show to me that in the seven years of tribulation the Bible says there that that they won't be able to buy or sell unless they have the mark of the Beast well there must be something to buy and something to sell then and if it's going
to be Such Great Famine where are they going to get it from the seven good years that we're going to have while the righteous are here on the Earth you just get ready for it we're going to have seven Great prosperous years the righteous are going to be recompensed in the earth and get your faith out there and start believing for it and acting on the word of God and you're going to inherit the things that God intended for you to have in this life [Applause] to those that lay hold on it see it's not
going to happen to you just because it's in the Bible but it's through the righteousness which is of faith now notice here that he says the promise that he should be heir of the world was not to Abraham or his seed through the law but through the righteousness of faith now come down to verse 16. therefore it is a faith that it might be by grace to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed not to that only which is in the law but to that also which is of the faith of
Abraham who is the father of us all as it is written I have made thee a father many nations before him whom he believed even God who quickeneth the dead and calleth those things which be not as though they were now that's the the subject we're talking about tonight calling things that are not as though they were God taught Abraham to do this this is a biblically sound principle of the Bible not only did God teach Abraham to do it but Jesus operated in this principle in all of his ministry most people have never seen
that but Jesus operated in this and all of his ministry he went to the the marriage of Cana of Galilee you know the way I caught hold of this thing I was I was praying one day and I was reading the scriptures and I said now Lord if this is this Mark 11 23 and these uh calling things are not was a Bible principle why didn't you operate it in your ministry and for the next 15 minutes I got embarrassed beyond measure because he took me through the scripture see you can know the Bible but
unless you look at it from a certain angle you'll miss these things and he took me scripture by scripture and showed me that almost every Miracle of healing and manifestation of God's power that was wrought by Jesus Christ was by this principle the marriage of king of Galilee he told him fill the water pots with water you got to be kidding they're wanting Wine Not water then he said draw out now and bear to the governor of the feast what was he doing he's calling it wine he's calling something that's not now don't go get
the garden hose and stick it in your gas tank that is not what he's talking about you know you have to be careful about things like this I was in Little Rock Arkansas one night and I was I was sharing the testimony of how that I was flying out close to Big Piney Wyoming one time in an airplane it only held four hours in half fuel I flew five hours and 25 minutes I was lost the radio quit working and and I was lost and was in the front out there and and when I landed
I'd been in there five hours and 25 minutes and when they filled the airplane up it still had 17 gallons of gas in it and the guy just shook his head he said they just burned more than that well they always did before but and they always did after but it didn't that time now I told at the church you see and there was a fellow sitting there in the church that got up after service was over and they went out and got in their car and they started home his wife said we better get
some gas no he said God put gas in brother Cap's airplane he'll put it in my car go right by the gas station and they were open had the money in his pocket drove five miles out in the country and run out of gas well I see he called that faith that wasn't Faith that's foolishness but now you see why sometimes people criticize that because they thought oh that's what they was teaching done no that wasn't what I was teaching at all he just misunderstood it you see that's not Faith that's foolishness you see I
was in an emergency situation and I'll tell you God do things you see if God had filled his car up with gas what do you think it happened when when he went to auction he won't God change all and overall the transmission well God's not in the business doing that you understand what I'm saying so you have to you have to say some of these things you might not all have to say it but you do sometimes but but we need to understand that God's word is out there Jesus operated in these principles of calling
things that are not as though they were now I want to mention a few of these things because it gets you to thinking in that direction because sometimes I get started into the the other direction I forget to come back to this and this is vital to you understanding this and understanding that Jesus operated in it you remember when Jesus in the synagogue one day he he had there was a man there with a withered arm and he said stand up in the midst and everyone stood up and he says is it lawful to do
good on the Sabbath or to evil of course they didn't say anything and I don't know I just always saw this little boy's right hand just twisted like that and he said to the man with the withered hand he said stretch forth your hand now you know I know Jesus knew it everyone in there knew that a crippled man with a crippled hand cannot stretch it forth but a well-man can and the Bible says and he stretched it forth and it was whole as the other what did he do he called it way [Applause] when
the man acted on that it was well for him to begin to put it forth he had to call it well but for all these years he knew he couldn't do it Jesus went to the pool of Bethesda one day there was a multitude of people there waiting for the troubling of the waters and he he walked up to this one man and he said will thou be made whole now see sometimes we hear it said all kinds of ways he didn't want to know if he wanted to be healed he said will you there's
a difference sometimes when I lay hands on people I say will you be healed and most of them say well I hope so or I know God's able that's not the right answer will thou be made whole then I've had people say if you just lay your hands on me I'll be healed brother I mean when you lay hands on me it's like an explosion takes place one lady fell Plum she slid from up under the sea almost and like knock me down never had anything like that before or anything after that but now Jesus
said to this man will thou be made whole and he said but I have no man then Jesus said to him rise take up your bed and go home you know I know Jesus knew and everybody around there knew that a crippled man can't carry his bed much less go home so what was he doing he's calling the man well can you see that he called him well God calls things that are not as though they were until they are they taught Abraham to do that Jesus in all of his ministry you see him doing
this he walked up to little woman one day she's all about over in in the 13th chapter of Luke and he said to her one you are loosed from your infirmity but she wasn't she just as crippled as she ever was just as crippled as she ever was but then he laid his hands on her now don't you get this here is a woman that's been this way for 18 years all bowed over she can't even lift herself up and Jesus walked up to her and said woman you're loose from your infirmity nothing changed but
then the Bible says he laid his hand on instantly she was made whole she believed in the laying on of hands but did you notice he called it first he called it first father give unto this woman the spirit of wisdom and Revelation and the knowledge of God the eyes of her understanding being enlightened quickened according to your word strengthened with all might according to your glorious power delivered from the authority of darkness and filled with the anointing to do that which you've called her to do in Jesus name hallelujah hallelujah thank you well why
did you do that brother Capps because I saw myself do it there was a manifestation of the spirit of God Hallelujah blessed be God Jesus called things that were not as though they were see he called that woman well and she was not well but when he laid his hands on her it was see you need to you need to realize something God call always calls things that are not as though they were God speaks the end from the beginning and as you go through the ministry of Jesus from this night forward I want you
to look at it from this angle and see how Jesus called things that were not as though they were ten lepers came to him one day said Jesus thou son of David have mercy on us they had to stay a hundred yards from Jesus they were considered unclean you know what he did he turned around and said go show yourself to the priest what do you mean go show yourself the priest you only do that if you've been cleansed he called him well somebody said brother Capps I don't believe in calling things or not I
don't believe in confessing your healing I don't believe in acting like you're healed if you're not healed then you don't believe the Bible because the Bible says as they went they were cleansed what would have happened if they hadn't went they wouldn't have been cleansed that it probably died lepers but the first step they took towards the priest house they were calling themselves clean but they weren't clean but they were calling themselves clean because the only reason you'd go to the priest and show yourself to the priest if you've been cleansed they could have said
but Jesus look we're still lepers but they didn't he called them clean this is a Biblical sound principle of the Bible God always does that in in the beginning God looked out over the Earth they saw Darkness spirit of God moved upon the face of the water then he said light be but there wasn't any light out there that's the reason he called it because it wasn't there somebody said brother Capps I don't understand you folks saying you're healed when you're hurt and you and you're sick and you're saying thank God I'm Healed high in
the world can you say that it's easy just open your mouth and begin to say thank God by his stripes I am healed calling my body well I'm not trying to convince you that I'm I'm well I'm calling for something I don't have that's all the more reason you ought to call for it if you don't have it are you still out there now now listen to what God Said here concerning Abraham notice in verse 17 we're in Romans the fourth chapter as it is written I have made the a father many nations before him
who he believed even God who quickeneth the dead can call us those things which be not as though they were he called him the father of Nations said I've made you the father of Nations now God appeared to Abram when he was 75 years old in Genesis 12 chapter and said great Nations will come out of you but 24 years went by and he did not have a manifestation of that promise he had the promise for 24 years but he had no manifestation of it there's some of you that have seen things in the word
of God for 24 years but you haven't had a manifestation of it would you like to know how to get a manifestation in it same way that Abraham did see God taught Abraham some things the Bible says that he preached the gospel first to Abraham the good news God taught him how to operate in faith God appeared to him in in the 17th chapter of Genesis and he said I have made you the father of many nations didn't say I'm going to he said I've already done it but he didn't have the child and then
he said your name will no longer be Abram but Abraham and that meant father of Nations or father of multi now everybody in that day knew what it meant so he just simply changed his name to where Abram would have to tell everybody I am the father of Nations by saying I am Abraham he was saying to them I'm the father of Nations and every time somebody said to Abram to Abraham oh Abraham who you want to put the Sheep where you want to put the goats what do you want to do with this they
said Abraham he heard father of Nations father of Nations father of Nations he may have heard it 150 times a day and Faith cometh by what hearing the word that was God's word for him wasn't it I have made you the father of many nations now notice what it says in verse 18 who against hope believed in hope when there was no natural hope Abraham believed in Hope where did he get the Hope from the word of God see the doctors may have told you there's no hope for you medically they've done everything they can
do for you there's no hope medically for you go to the word of God and get you some hope start calling things that are not as though they were I live and not die and I'll do the works of God somebody said well brother caps you must think you're God oh no but I'm a partaker of the divine nature I'm calling things that are not as though they were when you see lack call abundance thank God there's abundance because I give it's given unto me good measure pressed down shaken together running over men giving to
my bosom I have abundance No Lack I confessed that when I was support I couldn't pay attention that's the truth I'd go to service I couldn't pay attention to the pastor I was so worried about my finances worried holes in my stomach craziest thing ever did word holes in my stomach about my finances and I didn't have enough finances to worry about it but I thank God I found a better way I found out you could call for the thing that you don't have when you don't have it call for it because God's already said
yes to it all the promises of God are yes and amen now let's let's finish this with Abraham Abram had the promise for 24 years no manifestation of it but less than a year after he started saying what God Said the promised child was born gee he's 99 years old and his wife was 90 when God said I've made you the father nation and he was 100 years old but then the child was born but now I want you to notice God taught him that it wasn't Abraham's idea it was God's idea this faith and
confession stuff was not Kenneth Copeland's idea it wasn't Kenneth hagin's idea and regardless of what you believe Kenneth Hagin didn't write Mark 11 23. I know he didn't I heard him say he didn't but thank God he found out about it and he told some others go with me over to First Corinthians the first chapter and listen to something that the Apostle Paul said in verse 27 and 28. but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things
which are Mighty and base things of the world and things which are despised that God chosen yea and things which are not to bring to not things that are now let me point something out to you here God has chosen things that are not not what not manifest they're not in the natural realm you remember in in Hebrews the 11th chapter verse 3 it says through faith we understand the world we're framed by the word of God so that things that are made were not made out of things that do appear in other words God
didn't make the Earth out of something that you could see he made it out of something you couldn't see he didn't make it out of nothing he made it out of something that something was his faith faithful words by his faith-filled words he framed the worlds and you frame your world by your words God has given you that right to frame your world either good or bad with the words you speak if you frame it with words from the word of God you're framing it on good Foundation but if you're framing it with the words
of the devil you're going to be tormented in this life you can enter into God's Provisions if you call for them but they won't fall on you like ripe apples off a tree it won't happen to you just because it's in the Bible you've got to call for it you call things that are not as though they were now notice here he says God has chosen this method notice God chose this method it was God's idea it was not man's idea it was God's idea that things that are not to bring to not things that
are now turn to uh Second Corinthians the fourth chapter look at verse 13. second Corinthians chapter 4 verse 13. we having the same Spirit of Faith according as it is written I believed and therefore have I spoken now see he's quoting David Psalms 116 verse 10 where David said that and then Paul adds this to it we also believe and therefore speak in other words this is the way the spirit of Faith Works when you believe you speak that's why you speak it is because you believe it what you really believe you're going to speak
you're going to talk about it I've heard people say well I just believe I'm coming down with the flu I was sitting in a barber shop one time get I was getting my hair style and well what are you laughing about I know I got a different style than Phil dristle but and this guy came in and he said trying to take the flu for three weeks and I'm sitting there thinking you know know if he'd been trying to take healing for three weeks he'd have been well I mean anybody spent three weeks trying to
take the flu you know there's not much insulation in it something wrong God's people are destroyed for lack of knowledge but now notice here it's the same Spirit of Faith according as is written we believed and therefore speak I also believe and speak now come down to uh to verse 17 and 18. for our light Affliction which is but for a moment worketh for us a far more exceeding Eternal weight of Glory while they ought to underline this phrase while we look not at things that are seen in other words the things we experience here
the afflictions that we experience here will work in Eternal weight of Glory while and I might add only why I will look at things that are not seen now here's the key to understanding persecution and affliction that comes your way it will work and eternal value in you if you'll look at the Unseen instead of the scene if you're looking at the scene and looking at the problem and always zeroing in on the problem it will not work in Eternal value in you you know somebody said all the trials will make you stronger only if
you win do you understand when you win it'll make you stronger and it wasn't the trial that made you stronger it was your acting on the word of God that made you stronger because when you don't win it doesn't make you stronger while we look not at things that are seen but things that are not seen for the things which are seen are temporal that means subject to change but the things which are not seen are eternal I say to my wife sometimes she'll say I'm going to get a permanent I said you got one
last month she said well I know it but I need another and I said well there's nothing permanent about it it's temporary it's subject to change it's a temporary permanent I guess I don't know but I have good news for you all evil is temporary afflictions are temporary we're gonna win we hold fast to the word now while we look not at things that are seen in other words don't look at the scene yeah but brother Capps it's true that I'm sick yeah but don't look at that what are you going to look at the
Unseen what is the Unseen healing you're not healed therefore you don't see it so start looking at the Unseen where do you look at it in the word of God by a stripe she were healed they'll lay hands on the sick and they shall recover so when hands were laid on you start saying thank God I'm recovering that settled it I'm recovering from this hour forward thank God I'm calling my body well thank God I'm Healed with the stripes of Jesus somebody said well how can you say that when you still hurt what does that
have to do with it I'm calling for what I don't have well why in the world would you say you healed when you're sick that's all the more reason you ought to call for it is because you don't have it yet do you understand what I'm saying you're calling for something you don't have it's true in the spiritual realm because God said his word and healed you you notice Psalms 107 verse 20 said God has sent his word and healed you didn't say he sent his word to heal you he said his word ended it
so as far as God concerned it's finished it was finished on Calvary it's already accomplished fact in the realm of the spirit but you must bring it into manifestation in the natural so how do you do it you call for it because all the promises of God are yes and amen he's already said yes to it let me tell you something about you hear people say this all the time well yes sometimes God says yes until your prayers and sometimes he says no he always answers but sometimes he says yes and sometimes he says no
one depends on what you prayed if you pray and ask for something God's already given to you in faith God never says no to it are you listening to me now let me give you scripture for it all things whatever you ask in prayer believing you shall receive now who are you going to get the faith to believe that from that verse of scripture itself that's where the faith come from Faith Cometh From that word that is the Bible faith for that now if you don't have faith for that then the God's under no obligation
but you see God will never say no to something he's already given you if faith is there and you call for it and you hold fast to the word now don't now don't read something into this that I didn't say I didn't say go throw your medicine away now I've said this and I'm going to say it again medicine won't heal you and it won't keep you from getting healed but it'll sure keep the symptoms down so you can believe God for your healing are you still out there if you're taking medicine take it in
the name of Jesus it doesn't work twice as good now notice that he says while we look not at things what you're seeing but things that are not seen for the things which are seen are temporal things which are not seen or Eternal all right the things that are not seen are eternal the Eternal things will overcome Paul said the Eternal things will overcome what is God has chosen this method things that are not to bring to naught things that are now here's the problem in trying to put this Faith coat on many people got
their coat on like I had it on here a while ago the arms in the wrong end of the sleeve and and it just didn't fit because they misunderstood now let me show you what a lot of people have done they have thought that what we were saying was that you deny what exists now remember God's method is to call things that are not manifest as though they were manifest until they are manifest and when they are manifest it will replace what was there but now when you deny what exists that's not God's method there's
no power in denying that you're sick if you're sick for instance if you had emphysema and you start saying I don't have emphysema thank God don't have emphysema I'm saying I don't have emphysema well if you feel from emphysema that way you might die of cancer or in growing toenail or something else but you see the answer is this thank God I'm calling my body well by a stripe some healed they laid hands on me I'm recovering in the name of Jesus I'm calling my body well thank God I'm Healed with the stripes of Jesus
I'm not trying to convince you that I'm not sick I'm calling for something I don't have that's the very reason I'm saying it and until you get criticized well how can you say why in the world are you saying you're healed when you're sick that's all the more reason I ought to be saying I'm Healed is because I'm sick and I'm calling for what I don't have we do that and everything else in life so I'm calling my body well now when I call my body well when I call Health into my body what happened
to the sickness I don't know and I don't care it got replaced by the manifestation of God's word see we've we've read about Jesus in the scriptures how he was married conceived the word of God and the Word was made flesh and dwelt Among Us any time you as a Believer conceive God's word concerning healing conceive it in your spirit confess it until it becomes a part of you it will manifest itself in your body the word will become flesh the word will become whole flesh within you in other words it'll take away the sickness
and disease God's word will heal you it is medicine to all your flesh Hallelujah now so we're not trying to convince somebody that we're not sick we're calling for what we don't have now let's put it over near your finances now let's say brother Osteen said well I'm going to sell my car and I'm going to I pray he prays and ask God to send him Byron he he but he misunderstood the Faith Message he thought now you know if I really believed that my car sold I got to say I don't have a car
somebody said How's your car brother Osteen well I don't have one he goes around and doesn't have a car wakes up some morning somebody stole his car now he doesn't have the car nor the money but now see that's not God's method not denying what exists but if he pray and ask God to send the buyer start thanking God and saying thank God my car so and go talk to your car and say car I'm calling you sold in the name of Jesus somebody likes you somebody's impressed with you somebody needs you more than I
need you thank God your soul in the name of Jesus well you're not trying to convince your neighbor your car sold if you go tell your neighbor your car sold convince him your car so when it's not so that is not a confession that is a lie laughs same way about sickness if you convince your neighbor that you don't hurt when you do hurt that's not a confession it's a lie but if he hears you calling your body well and he goes on and says oh boy don't have a sick bone in his body you
didn't lie to him he just heard you calling things that are not does this make any sense to you so then you call the car sold now I got a letter from a guy out in Kansas one day and he said you know brother Capps he said I was traveling out in Kansas and I was trying to find a Christian radio station I was he said really that's fussing at God because I hadn't sold my car he said I had had it up for sale for a long time and I'd prayed and asked God send
me a buyer I said Lord why had my car sold I just don't understand it and and he said he somewhere in Kansas I picked up on your radio broadcast he said it just faded in you know how to do when it's you're out on The Fringe of it it just kind of faded in got louder and louder for about two minutes and then it just faded out and he never couldn't get it anymore and he said he just asked the Lord about why I hadn't sold his car and he said I came on the
broadcast and I was teaching on calling things or not and he said the first thing you said I can tell you my car hadn't sold you hadn't called it so thank you he said now if you don't think it'll jerk a slack out of you and somebody answered it over the brother he said it didn't take me long start calling my car sold and he said it sold the next week God's word is true and when you operate that principle and if you'll dedicate yourself to speak all in what you believe will come to pass
you'll see a change in your life when you start calling for things that are not now it won't happen just because you say it but you got to believe and doubt not in your heart and believe what you're saying have come to pass it's hooked to the principle of Mark 11 23. it takes some some control in what comes out of your mouth and saying What God Says now let's let's talk about uh somebody said well I'm gonna owe no man nothing but love well now that's all right but you can't do it if you
owe everybody everything I mean you just can't jump over into that I've I've seen people they thought they were living by faith now that that owed money and uh and and they said it got in the tight where they couldn't make their payments and instead of going to the bank and borrowing the money which they could have paid back so much a week or so much a month and made the payments kept the credit good oh I'm gonna owe no man nothing hey you can't do that you already owe him but spiritual Pride entered into
it or either that or just misunderstood the message and they got spiritually proud they wouldn't borrow the money at the bank hey man you already owe the other guy what's the difference whether you owe this one or that one and they wouldn't make their payments made no arrangements to make it got kicked out of the apartment lost the credit rating and wondering why the Faith Message doesn't work oh it's working all time that's not Faith that's foolishness y'all still out there and you go home I'm doing better preaching you are saying amen no there's nothing
wrong with borrowing money I mean God told Israel you only in The Many Nations and not borrow well the other nations wouldn't have borrowed if they hadn't lived and if it's wrong to live I mean tomorrow it was wrong for them to lend because they were partner to the guy that borrowed if they loaned it to him now if God tells you as an individual not to that's a different situation you understand what I'm saying but but don't let some something that God told somebody else hold you in bondage I mean make arrangements if you
can't pay your bills on time make arrangements with the bank to get the money and pay the bills and pay them back as you can and keep you credit good I mean it's it's not a good testimony somebody said he trusted God and went broke no most of the time he acted foolish lost his credit rating then he couldn't bar anybody now I'm talking about some practical things that you need to take note of because there's a lot of Christians doing a bunch of foolish things calling it Faith it's not Faith at all it's foolishness
if you can't pay somebody go talk to them and tell them about I'll tell you most 99 of every time if you'd go just talk with them and tell them you're having a hard time and I'll pay you when you can they'll just go with you as long as they can but I know some Christians that that owe people money and they even suing them now and they still won't even talk to them never have talked to him and the man told me he's a Christian man he said he said I don't understand folks like
that well I don't know how I got on that but anyway there it is take care of your obligations you understand what I'm saying make arrangements take care of it God's not mad at you if you had to borrow money I've had the Lord tell me to borrow money getting quiet in here well moving right along here calling things that are not as though they were somebody said well I'll just tell you I don't believe in calling things or not I believe in saying it just like it is if you're sick you're just sick and
you ought to tell everybody you're sick well now wait a minute Faith cometh by hearing right now see there's no power in denying sickness where the power is in calling for what you don't have that God's already promised see you're calling for the Unseen calling for the Unseen that is the Eternal force that will nullify what exists if you can see feel touch taste or smell your problem it's in the natural you can take your faith in the word of God and change it over a period of time it won't happen overnight the problem is
that people think it's going to happen in three days this is a way of life it's not something just gets you out of trouble and go back the old way of life you call for the promise of what God's already given you give and it shall be given unto you good measure pressed down shaken together when you give an offering then you've activated that promise start saying from that very time thank God now it is given unto me thank God it's given unto me you may not see it yet you may not have it in
your hand but thank God you know it's done it's already settled in heaven and you hold fast to that confession now the fellow that says well now I'll tell you I just believe in saying it like it is you can't call things that are not but now you do you just watch that fella the only time he believes that's in church isn't amazing what religion will do to people now he'll go on Monday morning he'll go out on his front back porch to feed his dog you know and his dog is not there and he's
standing right there on the porch and say here Pooch here Pooch here Rover whatever his name is and he's not there Rover is not there now remember he doesn't believe in calling things that are not but the dog is not there and he's calling him but now in church on Sunday he didn't believe in that in fact he might have preached a sermon against the man that did that not even wrote a book standing right there on his porch and say here pooch and if I was there I'd tap him on the shoulder and I'd
say why are you lying Pooch is not here and you're saying here pooch see if he really believed that what he'd do he'd go out there and look around if he couldn't see the dog he'd sit down and say oh the dog's not here the dog's not here dear God I wish the dog was here oh it must not be God's will for the dog to be here thank you if it's God's will the dog could be here oh Lord the dog's not here the dog's not here his neighbor comes over and says what are
you doing well he said I came to feed the dog but the dog's out of here oh I wish the dog had come his neighbor says uh have you tried calling the dog no you must be one of them Faith Fanatics you can't call things that are not and the dog is not here well what happens if he goes out there and the cat's there if he believes what he says you've got to call it like it is and the cat's there and he wants to feed the dog well if he really believes that he's
gonna have to call the cat here kitty kitty kitty kitty the cat's licking him in the face and after a while all the neighbors cats climbing over the fence he got a whole yard full of cats his neighbor said what are you doing all these cats I don't know I'm trying to feed the dog well why are you calling the cats because I just believe it this way you got to say it like it is and when the cats are here you have to call the cats thank you now laugh but some of you've been
doing the same thing I tell you this is the way it is every year this time every year I come down with a cold every time we ever save any money all the kids get sick we have to spend every dime on doctor bills that happens every year hey man the cat's licking you in the face quit calling him you're calling for what you have you're calling things that are as though they are and they are and as long as you call them they will be because you're establishing what is because Faith cometh by hearing
now you know what you what would you do if you went out there and the cat was there and you want to feed the dog you'd say scared scat and call the dog wouldn't you when lack is licking you in the face don't call him when sickness is all over you don't call it there's no power in denying it but call for the thing you don't have healing Prosperity abundance in Jesus name and you call it and you call it and you call it and you call it until it comes that's the way it works
now this guy he says he doesn't believe in calling things that are not but you watch him he goes off on vacation he comes home and it's a hundred degrees in his house you watch him you go running there and walk over to that thermostat and turn it to 74 degrees I thought you didn't believe in calling things that are not it is not 74 degrees in here but he called for it didn't he now see if he really believed what he's believes on Sunday he'd walk in that house and look and see what the
temperature was well it's 100 degrees let's set it on 100 degrees I always believe in calling it like it is foreign yeah this is the way it's been for 24 years I tell you I just can't forgive them you just don't know what they did to me how long you been saying it well 24 years now oh you got your thermostat set on can't forgive and wondering why you can't forgive now let me stop and give you a little insight here the human Spirit of the heart of man is like the heart of the unit
it controls the temperature in this building there's a thermostat over here on the wall that's thermostat's a goal setter it has no ability to heat or cool this building unless it's hooked to something else your head is a goal setter you know why that that has to be hooked to the the heart of that unit because there's no substance in that thermostat it's a goal Setter that's all it is Faith Works in the heart won't work in the head faith is a substance of things God has given you you can't just mental Ascent to things
and get it to come to pass it has to get in your heart that's why the word isn't in your mouth and then in your heart when you speak it out of your mouth you're setting the goal you're sending an Impulse to the heart of the unit and saying we need this get it up here when you set 74 degrees and that thermostat and it's 100 degrees in here you've created a problem for the heart of that unit but it sends a little impulse out there and says get some cool air in here we're hot
and you know that thing won't say a word it won't say no we think you need hot air it's designed to do one thing heat and cool this building it won't wash your clothes it won't cook your meals but it is designed to heat and cool this building if you set the thermostat it will work day and night to see that it comes to pass exactly what you said in it your confession is setting the thermostat it's setting the goal and sending an Impulse to the human spirit and said find a way to bring this
to pass I'm calling for it and while you're asleep the human spirit is searching the Avenues of God's wisdom to to find the wisdom of God to lead you to cause to come to you the information needed to cause you to be in the right place at the right time for the right situation to get the right job and cause the manifestation of the promise to come true in your life [Applause] you see your words send the impulse down here and it begins to search the Avenues of God's wisdom day in and day out until
it comes up with information see we talked about this scripture last night and uh First Corinthians second chapter is that what man knoweth the things of man say the spirit of man which is in him even so the things of God knoweth no man but the spirit of God the human Spirit knows all about you your human Spirit knows all about you and God's spirit knows all about God if you get those two Spirits together you've tapped the source of all knowledge and all wisdom I didn't say you had it all you've tapped the source
of it and then you demand from that whatever you need you'll be like a tree planted by the rivers of water I think about those little cypress trees down there on White River driest summer that comes you know what they do they demand from that River all they need they just draw from it the human spirit will draw from God everything needed everything needed the cause the manifestation of what you're saying to come to pass if it agrees with the word of God you see I'm not saying just say anything you want to you've got
to find it in the Bible you've got to have scripture for it the faith for it comes from the word itself and and by speaking the word you said in motion the law of Faith he shall have whatsoever he saith if he believe if it died not in his heart if he believes what he's saying will come to pass he shall have eventually he shall have whatsoever whatsoever whatsoever he saith it's the saying that sends the impulse down here and causes it to come to pass you know there's a scripture in Psalms it says delight
yourself in the Lord he'll give you the desires of your heart now there's two or three ways you can take that but if you will submit yourself unto the word of God God will create in you the desires that are of God and God will always fulfill the desires that he created now listen to me God will always fulfill in you the desires that he created so it's our job to submit our will to God see Jesus said if you abide in me and my words abide in you ask what you will and it shall
be done see the word abides in you ask what you will see the will of God is his word so if the word of God is in you the will of God is in you and therefore you ask what you will in other words God's word is his perfect will and he's already said yes to all the promises of God God has given unto us all things that pertain the life and godliness somebody said well why don't I hammer faith is a substance of it where does the faith come from from the word itself if
you don't know what God's promised you couldn't have faith for it you couldn't have Bible faith for it because you don't know what it was and the faith only comes from the word itself faith is the Divine energy of God it's released in his word god releases sufficient faith in every word that he speaks to cause it to come to pass in the life of everyone that'll believe it confess it act upon it until that word gets inside them the word in you is the key to it not just knowing about the word or hearing
about the word it's having the word inside you if the word is in you faith is in you because Faith cometh be hearing the word of God and as we talk in some of the other sessions Romans the 10th chapter the idea of there is that the word is not you it's in your mouth and in your heart not in your pastor's mouth and in your heart it's in your mouth and in your heart see you're going to have to set your own goal setter by your words your pastor can't set it for you your
neighbor can't set it for you you have to send that impulse down here and say there is abundance and No Lack and you send an Impulse down here said we got lack up here get some bundles brother I want you to know your human spirit will go to work day and night to tap into the wisdom of God to get you in the right place at the right time to get a job that will produce the abundance for you Hallelujah did it work it'll work if you'll work it I don't know what the businessman that
I've talked to in fact I just had lunch with one today that a few years ago he was just flat busted that's what we'd say in Arkansas and he got a hold of some money unexpectedly and in fact he told me he came here and gave it to to Lakewood Church the whole Mount gave the whole thing and then just you know just a few years just phenomenal what's taking place just absolutely phenomenal I remember he called me a few years ago said pray with me and and and and you know do you have any
words of wisdom for me and and I know that people always well it's going to be some great word from the Lord I said open your Bible to James chapter 1 verse 5. if any lack wisdom let a mask he giveth all men liberally up Brayden not let him ask in faith nothing wavering for he that waver there's like a wave of the sea driven the wind and toss let not that man think he'll receive anything of the Lord I said when you ask for wisdom when we get through praying don't you ever say you
don't have the wisdom of God start saying I have the wisdom of God I have the mind of Christ the wisdom of God's formed within me and start confessing it saying it speaking it and when it comes time to make the decision if you don't have any Revelation or any insight just stop and ask yourself what is it I what is it I want to do now now here's a simple way to do it now listen to me very carefully because if you miss this you miss most important part of the service tonight if you're
submitted to God and willing to do what he wants you to do you will always be able to find the direction and wisdom of God lay your desires on the Altar and say Lord I'm willing to do what it is you want me to do change my desires create in me the desires that are of God give me the wisdom of God in this matter in Jesus name I thank you for it I have it in Jesus name start praising God for thanking God for when it comes time to make the decision if you don't
have any outward manifestation or don't know in any didn't get any Revelation most of the time you won't get any great flashlight or Revelation then just stop and say now what is it I desire to do in my heart he has given you the desire that is in your heart in what you desire to do is the perfect will of God this man said I've done that time and time again and he says it's amazed me what has happened oh we we live so far beneath our privilege in Christ brother Osteen come here now why
did you come up here you call me oh when you sat there for an hour and didn't come you didn't call him oh well now wait a minute let me get this straight would you've come anytime I called you was you willing to come just waiting on your call isn't that amazing he sat there for a whole hour and didn't come but as soon as I called him he came okay Hallelujah [Applause]
