more productive and efficient exactly whether it's studying working or even enjoying our Hobbies having Focus allows us to give our best effort and Achieve our goals absolutely when we maintain f Focus we can better manage our time reduce stress and Achieve our objectives wait wait my friends did you notice the word objectives yes and Achieve our objectives what does it mean never never skip new words when you hear them because learning new vocabulary is one of the keys to improving your English that's a great Point Vanessa so let me explain an objective is a specific
goal or aim you want to achieve for example if your objective is to learn English your daily tasks might include practicing speaking writing or watching videos like this podcast exactly so Daniel said we can better manage our time reduce stress and Achieve our objectives so objectives here means the specific goals or targets we aim to accomplish do you know Vanessa that many people can't achieve their objectives just because they don't Focus it's not that they lack the ability they actually have the potential to succeed there must be some reasons why you can't focus you have
to know those reasons first before you can improve without understanding the problem it's like trying to fix a leaky foret without knowing where the leak is exactly Vanessa distractions stress lack of sleep and even poor time management are some of the big biggest reasons people struggle with Focus identifying these issues is the first step to overcoming them but you will agree that social media plays a huge role in our struggles with Focus right it's incredibly easy to get sucked into endless scrolling and notifications absolutely Vanessa social media can be a major distraction it pulls our
attention in multiple directions and makes it challenging to concentrate on what really matters exactly within a minute we're bombarded with so much information including negative news memes or random updates that don't really add value to our lives this overload of information makes it harder for our brains to process and focus on what's truly important excellent that's why it's important to set boundaries with social media for instance designating specific times to check your accounts or even even using apps that limit usage can help great suggestion Daniel and let's not forget about the importance of taking breaks
sometimes our brains need a little time to recharge especially when we're working for hours absolutely Vanessa brakes are like hitting the reset button for your mind even a short 5 or 10-minute break can help you return to your work with Renewed Energy and better focus exactly and during those breaks it's a good idea to step away from screens all together go for a walk stretch or even just take a few deep breaths do you know Vanessa that stress is also one of the big barriers to focus it can drain our energy and make it harder
to stay on track if I tell you the story you will understand this better yes why not please tell us once there was a boy who loved to play football and hated studying whenever he was on the field he felt like the game was made just for him however he struggled to concentrate on his studies his teacher often scolded him for his poor performance and there wasn't much support from his family either everyone thought he was just wasting his time playing football they believed he should invest his time in studying thinking it would benefit him
in the long run he kept playing the game and eventually the day came when he played for his country what an unexpected story right now if you're finding it hard to concentrate ask yourself am I concentrating on the right thing is this the right path for me am I made for this wow it's an amazing story it really shows how focusing on what you're passionate about can eventually lead to success uccess even when others doubt you a healthier lifestyle many aspects of a healthy lifestyle can help attention starting with sleep and exercise there is a
direct link between exercise and cognitive ability especially attention when you exercise you increase the availability of brain chemicals that promote new brain connections reduce stress and improve sleep and when we sleep we reduce stress hormones that can be harmful to the brain and we clear out proteins that injure it meditation is a powerful tool for improving attention and reducing stress regular meditation helps increase focus by training the mind to stay present decrease stress levels which can otherwise distract and impair attention enhance overall mental Clarity and emotional balance even just a few minutes of daily practice
can lead to noticeable Improvement and don't forget my friends that building focus is a journey it's not something that happens overnight small consistent steps can make a big difference over time for example just dedicating 10 minutes a day to exercise or meditation can set the foundation for better attention absolutely Vanessa and while we're on the subject of small steps creating a to-do list for your day is another simple yet powerful tool it helps you prioritize tasks and gives you a sense of accomplishment as you check off completed ones that's a great idea Daniel a to-do
list keeps you organized and helps eliminate decision fatigue which can be a huge drain on Focus speaking of which did you know multitasking is another major culprit that reduces is our ability to focus that's so true Vanessa people often think multitasking makes them more productive but in reality it divides attention and lowers the quality of their work focusing on one task at a time is much more effective exactly for instance instead of checking emails while working on an important project set aside specific times for emails this way your brain isn't constantly Switching gears which can
be exhausting
