[Music] Did you know there is only one being who can see God face to face? The scriptures teach that no one can look upon God and survive. Yet there is a remarkable exception.
Even the mightiest angels cover their faces before him. For his glory is overwhelming. In Isaiah 6, the seraraphim surrounding his throne hide their faces with their wings out of reverence.
But there is one being unlike any other. One who has been in the presence of God from the very beginning. He not only beheld him but also came to reveal who God truly is.
That being is Jesus, the beloved son of the father. In John 1:18, we read, "No one has ever seen God but the son who is intimately united with him. " And Jesus himself declared in John 14:9, "Whoever has seen me has seen the Father.
" Indeed, there is only one who can gaze upon God and live. One who perfectly reveals his heart, his power, and his glory. That one is Jesus.
