[Music] thank you welcome ladies and gentlemen to commodity TV the second day at pdac 2023 in Toronto and I have the honor to introduce you to Dr Keith Barron the CEO of irania resources hello Keith how are you doing well I'm honored to see you too thank you it's the first time we're seeing us in person absolutely but it's a pleasure for me yes thank you so here we are at your booth of Iranian resources and of course we want to talk about Iranian resources give us some updates what's going on in the company okay
well we've just recently finished a third hole on one of the targets called tadashem tadashem is actually an an Indian word an indigenous word it means woodpecker wow okay didn't know that yeah yeah yeah but we we think it's a great place to be exploring uh we actually set out to find poor free copper in this area and we more or less stumbled upon an epithermal what we think is probably going to yield later on after more work gold silver area looks very very similar to Fruita Del Norte wow which was of course my Discovery
back in in 2006 uh it's got all the elements uh the uh the structure high-level brushes lots and lots of centers which are you know these things that form in Hot Springs and yeah so we'll keep working at this but besides this we're also working on a Wacha and a watch is on the other side of the property and it's a poor free copper story uh but it's a big big Zone it extends for 12 kilometers north south and we believe that this multiple uh multiple porphries a cluster of porphries never had a drill hole
um you know we'll have to see what we we get it's um we we would like to drill it maybe in the third or the fourth quarter of this year um but uh gosh it's looking very very interesting copper emollion surface a little bit of gold um everything that you want to find actually wow okay and with your um new money you got in your company so the two millions financing I guess or how much was it well that was a while ago and it spent yeah okay you know drilling is expensive it is it
is uh plus we we have the patent payments coming up at the end of this month okay uh that's 2.3 million U.S wow and I'm actually putting that money up okay uh and I I'm doing it because I'm a hell of a big believer in this company as you know uh and I own 37 of it and I don't uh draw a salary and you know I'm I'm very very committed um and aligned with the shareholders of course a lot different from many many other companies you're going to see here uh but uh no you
know I've got 20 odd years experience in Ecuador 40 years now in the business um I've never seen a an opportunity like this it's it's fantastic you just mentioned how far is it away so now well it's a hundred kilometers okay but it's in the same belt of rocks yeah and in fact uh this thing that we have on display here um is the same age geologically so that's very encouraging as well um you know it's uh it's a little bit early days this is an absolutely virgin Target it's never had any drilling on it
before and it doesn't come to surface it's buried under sediments so you have to get down through the sediments down into the into the structure uh what we really need to do now is to find the plumbing system yeah that drove the whole thing and that's where you're going to find the gold it sounds simple but it's it's actually nuts yeah and complex is so huge so you have so many opportunities in order to find something well that's true that's true and we can't tackle everything all at once obviously but this is very very high
priority thing for us just because of the the similarities with uh with Fruita Del Norte and with other epithermal systems around the world um if I can grab them yeah a piece of drill core here this was drilled just a couple of weeks ago okay and you can see it's all made up of fragments broken up pieces of of Rock Air it's uh it's delicious as hell um you know in the eastern part of Canada they have a saying it's as hard as the back of God's head it really is pretty hard it's it's all
made out of silica today well uh it's been transformed and this is what we like to find yeah and besides that this is a piece of what we call center and if I line it up with the camera here you can see all the holes yes are in the same direction Direction yeah and what this used to be at one point these were Reed stems these were like bull rushes plants sticking out of the ground what were encapsulated by silica so they were in a Splash Zone of the of the the geyser and got covered
in silica and kind of fossilized okay that's what that is but this is telling you that you have an epithermal system okay and you collected on the ground or oh yeah that's that's not true that came off the surface okay yeah this this came from several hundred meters down wow that's uh okay yeah yeah so where's your main focus on now uh well I I would say that it's dual Focus both on the perfect copper story and on this yeah both of them now we're coming into the heavy rains in in our part of Ecuador
uh tadasham is a helicopter supported program meaning that you know it's difficult to to fly every day and you have to pay standby time okay so what we're going to do we're going to uh not reduce the activity but we're not going to have any drilling for a while on tadashem we're going to do an IP survey an induced polarization survey to better Define the targets that'll be happening over the next several months and then at the same time we'll be firming up the the geological picture at a watcher okay okay so as I said
you're you have such a big project yeah I guess the holding costs are also not to underestimate no it's a lot of money uh and and we know that but we have had a lot of interest from Majors um you can't get a package of rocks like this anywhere else in the courtier and certainly nobody wants to work in Peru this month yeah uh probably not even Colombia either or eventually okay okay so where are you going to go right yeah exactly and and this is Virgin Territory that has not been overexplored and been punished
by you know 60 years of mining companies nobody has been on this ground using technology before so uh there's I think a hell of a lot of opportunity we found all kinds of stuff over the last six years yeah copper silver lead zinc uh gold lots of lots of different Commodities here so you know I keep saying it gives us optionality there are a number of companies here major companies that are base metal companies they're not interested in gold and vice versa so you know I think we gotta we got things for everyone this stuff
in the this stuff here this is a classic gold silver Target yep and a watcher is a classic perfect Target okay perfect so it's a unique opportunity for sure so yes and as you said so there's so much to explore there's so much to find in the ground all kind of Commodities so irania is in the early stage of course but has so much opportunities also for our investors so you are sticking with the company and hopefully also the investors as well for sure thank you for your time Keith thank you thanks for introducing me
