Like I feel like I feel like he's really good. I feel like he's really good. Like why not do more?
You know what I mean? Like you were beating to a female with the jab. You were killing him.
You could mix it up. [ __ ] [ __ ] [ __ ] Like maybe a little combo. Roy Jones said he could have sat down and got him out of there.
Oh yeah. Andre Warren said he could have sat down and got him out of there. Bud says he done do enough.
He said you got more active with your head but not with your fist. All these boxers he I'm casual. I just told you though earlier in the interview he plays everything in life a little too cautious.
That's man. Don't introduce me to that. [laughter] You don't got nobody.
You Why'd you let Shakur talk [ __ ] to you, man? Damn, I seen the Bro. Bro, the thing was he got a He don't He He could have an opinion on anything, but I'm not allowed to have an opinion.
I All I said is that your style doesn't interest me. I'm not I didn't say he was a bum. I said you're a great fighter.
I think you're very talented. I said, but your style of me, he takes things personal quick. I don't want to do this.
I don't want to go to 47. He can. He doesn't want to.
Bro, you got in the you're in the hurt business. You're in the fight game. How you going to be safe in the fight game?
I don't like getting hit. I will just beat him. And I just think that everybody thinks he's just some savant in the ring and I'm just here to take that away.
That's pretty much what it is. They thought Deon Haney was the same way. He's he's unbeatable.
What? That's what Eddie Hearn said, right? And then went and beat his ass.
Same thing with Shakur. I Yeah, I thought Ryan did his thing tonight. Um, [music] I don't know.
Uh, was Vada involved in this fight? Is that how good he looked? Is that how good At the end of the day, I seen him with Roelly?
He didn't look like that. So, my question is, was V involved in the fight? Okay.
Him in the amateurs. I'll beat him again and I will hurt him. You don't understand me?
Like, I will humble him in a ways that he's never been humbled before. Um, and that's it. Point blank period.
I want to fight him. That's it. Ryan Garcia just sent a massive shock wave through the entire boxing world, and he only needed 85 seconds to do it.
Las Vegas was completely electrified this past weekend when Garcia stepped into the ring and put on a terrifying display of power, dismantling British challenger Connor Ben with ruthless efficiency. But the biggest loser of the night was not the guy waking up on the canvas. Instead, it was the four division world champion sitting safely at ringside watching the destruction unfold.
Shakur Stevenson thought he was just there to do some commentary, but he ended up walking straight into a media storm that is about to change his career forever. You know, if we could rumble one day, we should do it. You know, I think that the boxing world would love to see it.
Um, it's a great matchup. He was one of the best in the amateurs. I was one of the best in amateurs.
It only makes sense. Yeah, I think it'll be a tremendous matchup. Um, I thought you did an amazing job tonight.
I commend you on your performance. I'mma get at you something about once we get off the air for sure. But right now that we on the air, I thought you did good and um I wanted to ask you.
The fight itself was a masterclass in blistering hand speed and violent timing. Fans knew Garcia was fast, but what happened against Ben looked like a video game playing on fast forward. Right from the opening bell, Garcia was throwing vicious left hooks that completely bypassed the British fighter guard.
Ben looked shell shocked, unable to process the sheer velocity of the punches coming his way. Then at exactly 1 minute and 25 seconds into the second round, Garcia found the perfect opening. He detonated a devastating right hand that sent Ben crashing to the mat, forcing the referee to jump in and stop the fight immediately.
It was a terrifying reminder of the raw explosive power Garcia possesses at welterweight. Amazing, bro. Um, he's too fast, you know what I mean?
Too fast. Great hook. I think what people think when people go in there, they think that they can handle Ryan speed, but Ryan speed is on a different level.
You know what I mean? And it's not he has power behind that speed, too. So, he had a he had a great he had a great show, a great night, and you know, I'm really proud of him.
Well, do you think the uh the stoppage came a little early or you thought it was No, I think he was I think Connor B. He was he was hurt pretty bad. If he didn't stop then, he would have stopped in the next round.
It looked like Ryan's plan. You and him talked about May potentially doing a double header. You him.
Yeah. [ __ ] Imagine that. David Benovas and Ja Patai and Ryan Garcia versus Joe Fimo.
I mean, it's it's it's a long shot. I was I was talking to Dana White. We're talking to them about it.
So, I mean, I don't know. You know, we're just trying to put in their ear and I'm see if anybody can make it possible, it's definitely Turkish. David, it it looked like um Ryan was fighting on the back foot waiting to try to get Connor to walk onto that left hook, but he ended up catching with the right again for the second five right 500.
I think that's just something really smart because Ryan Garcia, everybody's just looking out for his left hook. That gives him opportunity to split the right, you know, with the right with the right uppercut. So, I mean, Ryan Garcia is just a dangerous fighter, bro.
He throws everything fast. He has great punch selection. He has good footwork, too.
So he's I I don't see nobody beating him at all. He he deliver he delivered on what he said he was going to do. He said he was going to knock him out in under five rounds.
Yeah. And then um that's what makes superstars. You know, you call him out, you say you're going to do that, and he did it in the biggest stage.
So I'm really proud of him. While the arena erupted, the cameras quickly panned to the broadcast table. Shocker Stevenson, currently campaigning at 140 lbs, was sitting right there working for Paramount Plus.
He immediately grabbed a microphone and threw his name into the hat, declaring he wanted to fight Garcia next. Shakur, which way are you leaning? Uh, I like Ryan Garcia with [music] a left hook knockout.
Round five. I like him to um pick his shot. Uh, stay calm, stay relaxed, and you know, Connor B has a habit of pushing his hand right here.
If that hand is right here, he catch him with a left hook. He's [music] going out. That's what Garcia said.
Five or left. Jakor probably thought he was making a smart business move, setting up a massive payday. Instead, he painted a giant target on his own back.
Garcia didn't even need to say his name in the post-fight interview to spark the flames. The internet instantly did it for him, turning Shakur's night of broadcasting into a viral nightmare. As fans demanded to know if the defensive genius could actually survive that kind of overwhelming firepower.
Uh, I want to unify against Tofimo. I think that's the move. Um, it's it's uh it's a huge fight and uh Teao's an entertaining dude and uh and it's going to be a hell of a buildup and uh he's a good fighter too.
So, let's run it. I know you've kicked the idea of fighting on the same card as David Benvdz possibly on single Deio. He wants to fight Jai.
Jai agreed. Is that would could that just be a mega card with the four of you on on the on the same card? Yeah, I think that's the move.
Um, if if Turkey and everybody, you know, Zufa, whoever can make it happen, why not? I think that's a huge uh event, I think it will break the internet and uh it'll be one of the highest selling double feature ever. Uh, and I know you have one more fight left on your Golden Boy contract.
Oscar wasn't here. Dana said he could have come if he wanted. It was I guess it was Oscar's choice not to be here.
Does that bother you that your promoter that you don't have to go back to work with didn't come to your fight? Um, I thought he was going to be here. They told me that he had a seat.
Um, and I actually invited him to walk walk out with me. I thought that was going to be iconic. Everybody was asking where he was and then just to have him walk out with me I think would have been special.
But it is what it is. You know, it didn't happen. Um, I'm here just to do my job, bro.
I don't really try to think of that too much, but you know, would it have been cool to see him there? Yeah. To understand why this potential matchup is generating so much heat, you have to look at the bitter history between these two fighters.
Garcia has absolutely zero respect for Shakur's style, and he has made it his personal mission to roast him relentlessly online. He famously branded him with the nickname Shakur Twitter. a brutal jab at the fact that Stephvenson talks an incredibly tough game on social media, but completely changes his tune when the gloves actually come on.
Garcia has repeatedly called him a bum, telling his millions of followers that Shakur brings absolutely no money to the table and actively runs away from his opponents. It is a harsh narrative, but after watching Garcia effortlessly destroy his latest opponent, the boxing public is starting to agree. You're not a real [ __ ] bro.
You're a a a clout demon. you're on this [ __ ] doing anything for [ __ ] clout and clicks and likes, you [ __ ] So that's the words from uh Shakur Stevenson. So let me address what it is that Shakur Stevens is saying.
Shakur Stevenson is saying because from what I can tell the only thing that Tim Bradley has said over the last 48 hours was that there's no way Shakur Stevenson is going to move up and fight Ryan Garcia. And we know that to be true because he won't move up to fight Devin Haney at 147 neither. And we just saw Terence Crawford defend him saying that well he just moved up to 140 so why would he move up to 147 and fight?
It's just a fact. But now you're you're talking trash about Tim Bradley. You're calling him a bum.
You're calling him the worst. You're saying that everything that he does is clickbait. So, let me break this down.
What it is that he means when he says that everything that he says is clickbait, it's clickbait when it is negative, right? That's when it's clickbait. When it's negative towards him, it's clickbait.
But let me re let me remind you guys. Let me refresh your memory and what in terms of what Shakur Stevenson recently said. August 8th, 2025 from Shakur Stevenson's Twitter account, Tim Bradley be having some of the best boxing breakdowns on his YouTube channel.
What what he breaks down the fact that you won't move up or you won't do this or you're not doing this or you're not doing that, then it's a poor breakdown. It's only a good breakdown when he's nut hugging you. When he's meat tugging you, then it's a great breakdown.
The disrespect reached a boiling point during a recent sitdown on the Club Shay Shay podcast when Shannon Sharp brought up Shakur's name. Garcia didn't hold back. He openly admitted that Stevenson is highly skilled but completely tore apart his cautious safety first mentality.
Garcia made a powerful point that boxing is fundamentally the hurt business. If there is an issue with Shakur Stevenson, this guy has absolutely no desire to do anything, challenge himself in any kind of way, shape, or form. He is trying to figure out a path to being what he would consider great and or accomplishing things with the least path of resistance.
Right? So, he wants to win these championships, similar to another guy I'm not going to talk about here, but he'll go and he'll pluck off this title and and do this and do this and do that. And he'll do it all against fighters that we know are tailorade for his style.
And then he'll come back and he'll go to his social media and he'll talk about his greatness and everything that we're doing is hating. And and when we call out that you really didn't fight anybody that was up to par and and up to the standard that we would like to see, we're haters. I I just I don't know, man.
I grew up in a different generation, man. I grew up in a generation where we challenged ourselves. We did not make excuses.
Any and everybody could criticize you. And if you handled it and responded in the way that Shakur Stevenson responded, and I'm not saying that Shakor Stevenson is this, but if you responded back then, the way Shakor Stevenson responded, you were the one that was considered the [ __ ] because you couldn't take the pressure. You couldn't take what people said to you.
If you step through those ropes, you have to embrace the danger, take risks, and put on a show for the people paying hard-earned money to watch. In Garcia's eyes, Shakur is so terrified of getting hit that he ruins the entertainment value of the sport, putting American audiences to sleep with boring 12 round track meets. Man, don't introduce me to that.
I said, "You're a great fighter. I think you're very talented. " I said, "But your style of me, he takes things personal quick.
" But he can't get mad because I don't want to go. I'm not going to spend my money. Yeah.
No, I mean, I was just being honest with him. I like the interview though. That was funny though.
Yeah. But he he he took it personal. Yeah.
Yeah. You know, he does take a lot of things personal, but he's gotten better with it. He actually used to take things way more personal.
Way more personal than Way more. You can say anything. That's why it's easy to get under his skin.
Now he's learned a little bit, but yeah. Damn. So, you just said that you weren't really I said I I I had he had fought and uh Oo and I was having a conversation.
I said, "Oo, he's extremely skilled, but I wouldn't pay my money to see him fight. " Yeah. You know what what gets me is like he has to realize that.
That's what I always seen in him. He tries to oh I don't want to do this. I don't want to go to 47.
He can. He doesn't want to. Bro, you got in the you're in the hurt business.
You in the fight game. How you going to be safe in the fight game? Ain't getting hit.
But you in the fight game. He hasn't embraced that yet. During that same interview, Garcia used the ultimate boxing measuring stick to prove his point, comparing Shakur's defensive obsession to the legendary Floyd Mayweather.
A lot of purists tried to defend Shakur by saying he is the next Floyd. But Garcia completely shut that down. He pointed out that while Mayweather was a defensive genius, he was never scared to stand in the pocket, throw aggressive combinations, and actually break his opponents down.
Floyd balanced safety with brilliance. Shakur, according to Garcia, only knows how to survive. It was a masterfully articulated insult that perfectly highlighted why fans are so desperate to see Garcia's relentless aggression test Shakur's ultimate defense.
He has to embrace. Like, you got to just get with it. like, "All right, I might taste a few, but I'm about to be in there and destroying them.
" That's what Floyd was good at. Yes, Floyd could take a good punch. If you watched him, he took a couple good punches.
And that's why I say Floyd is one of the best because he used both hands. He was nasty. He was entertaining.
People try to say he was a runner. He was not a runner. If you really watch his fights, he was not really running.
He was controlling the ring. Maybe a couple rounds with Madonna, he ran a little bit, but other than that, he was he was on on point. You You got to look at Floyd though.
People talk about, "Oh, he don't punch hard. He got brittle hands. " Ain't nobody walk through him.
Nobody could walk through him. Ain't nobody walk through him cuz speed is power. He had that snap.
Things that could cut you like a knife. Like Roy Jones Jr. He had that ding ding ding ding ding ding.
It looks like he's tapping you, but he's beating the [ __ ] out of [laughter] so I just think that yeah, Floyd was was everything that Shakur wants to be, but he's just not. I know that quote probably hurt him. [laughter] Then I'm gonna get mad.
Then I'm gonna get blamed because then I gotta fight him for you. And then then it's Ryan and Shannon versus Shakur and whoever [laughter] kids. But what makes Garcia so dangerous right now isn't just his physical speed.
It is the dark, almost unsettling level of mental focus he has unlocked behind closed doors. Most people do not realize the extreme lengths he goes to during his training camps. Garcia revealed a strict non-negotiable boundary he sets for himself before a big fight.
He completely isolates himself, cutting off all contact with his wife and children. He refuses to let them anywhere near his camp, and he certainly doesn't allow them in the arena on fight night. He knows that hearing his kids in the crowd could break his concentration.
So, he shuts off all emotion, turning himself into a cold, calculated machine whose only purpose is to destroy the man standing across from him. How close to are you to raising your kids like your father raised you? I'm I'm probably I have a lot more time on my hands.
Okay. You know, my dad was a he had to go to work. There's a lot of other things he had to do.
So, it was more I'm more I could I I just have more time at my disposal to actually, you know, to be hands-on, you know, and the only time I'm really not is obviously during training. Um, but I still see them here and there, right? But I don't like my I don't like to train, you know, and have my wife or my kids anywhere near me.
So, you when you go up, I don't know, you go to Big Bear or M Mammoth or wherever you go, you the family don't the family stays. You don't see them until you come back? Until after my fight.
Till after the fight? Yeah. Wow.
I'm not here. Yeah. I'm not here to have them watch.
No, we Dad got to go to work. You go watch on TV. Wow.
Yeah. They don't do that. You let them come to the fight.
They don't come to the fight either, Ryan. I don't want to see nobody. I'm in there fighting.
I don't need to see my kids while I'm just I don't want to hear my kids go, "Daddy, I don't know. I want to hear that [ __ ] Beat his ass. " [laughter] That terrifying focus has now caught the attention of the biggest power players in the sport.
Right now, social media is absolutely flooded with sidebyside edits contrasting Garcia's explosive second round knockout with Shakur's painfully slow decision victories. Fans are flooding the comment sections of Golden Boy and Matchroom Boxing demanding they make this fight happen and the money is definitely there. Boxing insiders are reporting that Saudi financier Turkey Alalshik has placed a Garcia versus Stevenson mega fight right at the top of his wish list.
When the Saudis want a fight, it usually happens, meaning Shakur is running out of places to hide. The fans want it, the money is waiting, and Garcia is practically daring him to sign the contract. We are looking at the core obviously the more technically sophisticated and refined fighter but Ryan's bigger than him.
Ryan has a longer reach than him. And if Ryan doesn't respect your power like he did in the Haney fight and he's launching missiles at your head all night long, he's extremely dangerous. and with his athleticism and power.
We'll see if Shakur can either pick him apart or because Ryan's not going to respect his power and he'll be launching shots at him all night. If one of them land since he is bigger than him and even more athletic than he is in some in some dimensions, some areas. So, if one of those lands on Shakur, it could be a big problem, you know.
So, that's an interesting fight. I don't think Ryan or Devin should uh go for any catchweight shenanigans with Shakur. They they should get those fights with him at 147.
Shakur believes he's the best fighter in the world. Most fighters and pundits pick him over the field from 147 on down. So, if he wants to prove he's pound-for-pound number one, he's got to do what Terren Crawford did, Floyd Mayweather did.
Um, and uh few other fighters that escape me right now who when they were number one pound-for-pound proved it by fighting men that outweighed them in the ring at times. So, that's that on that front. Uh, now we are looking at the ultimate clash of styles and the stakes could not possibly be higher.
On one side, you have an explosive, lightning fast knockout artist who just proved he can end a fight in the blink of an eye. On the other, you have a defensive prodigy who claims no one can touch him. But after watching what happened to Connor Ben, the entire boxing world is asking the exact same question.
Can Shakur Stevenson's elite defense actually hold up against that kind of blistering power? or is Shakur Twitter about to get permanently logged off? Drp your predictions in the comments.
That's all for today. If you enjoyed it, remember to leave a like, subscribe, and ring that bell icon so you never miss our upcoming videos. Stay tuned, and we will catch you in the next video.
