Bill Maher is forced to educate these people because apparently they don't know, they can't see it how bad identity politics for the Democrats have gotten. And of course, whenever Bill Maher puts it in the way that he does, they are forced to accept the truth and actually admit that identity politics are a bad thing. Not just for the country, but also for the Democratic party if they ever want to win anything ever again.

and phrases that want Democrats they want Democrats to avoid using uh including privilege, microaggression, unhoused person. Is this good advice for the party? Not at all.
Let the person be who they are. Now, is there not a voter out there that can't tell you, I believe, if you were real or not real? And I've always said in West Virginia growing up, people could shake your hand, look in your eyes, and see your soul.
It's all they they had. If you are who you are, they'll know it. If you're in it for the right reason, they'll know it.
And if you've got to basically explain to them that you're uh maybe not radicalized or a complete different far-left that they don't understand, you know, the Democratic Party's lost 160,000 registered Democrats since this November election. If they think the country is going more left, why is the Democrats losing their own people? They've got to come back to center left, center right where you run the country.
And all these types of things are saying, "Well, this makes this person non-electable or basically drives [clears throat] people away from the party. " The thing that drives me away is we're not getting the character and the quality of the person we used to get. But I think the point here was that the words That's true.
That that is that is true. And of course they they're going to talk like that whenever they're sitting in front of Bill Maher because he'll call them out. But the identity politics issue is a is a massive one.
I've always said that if the Democrats were to somehow listen to someone like Bill Maher, listen to Jenk U. As much as I don't like the guy, he is correct about the Democrats and how you know their their their strategy to win, right? Their path to win.
He's correct about it. Ana Casparian, they're all correct about it. All they got to do is just say what's popular with the people.
Because look, let's be real. The right-wing, a lot of them are Christian. You know, a lot of them have some belief system that is outside of US politics, right?
So, they have a reason to believe the things that they believe. The left only believes certain things because they think it's going to help them win. Like, they have no actual principles.
They have no morals. They only just want to win, right? That's all they have.
That's their only principle. So why not just say and and push for the things that are going to be most beneficial for you to win? I promise you that's not identity politics, policing, speech, things like Bill Mah's talking about.
That's not the path for Democrats to win. Not that I want them to win, but they're definitely not going to win if they continue to push this themselves are connected to ideas that people I was asked. I got to tell you this.
I couldn't even believe it. Now I come from West Virginia. Okay.
And it's a wonderful, beautiful state with great people. I'm getting interviewed at one of the college campuses and the beautiful young person who did that, they says, "Now, how do you want to be addressed? " I says, "I'm Joe Mansion.
" And he says, "No, he or it or I says, "What are your pronouns? " And I said, "What are your pronoun? " I says, "Okay, it is not one of them, but yes.
[laughter] They gave me that option. They She gave me that option. She didn't say yet.
She said they. You want to be they. And I wanted to be I wanted to be Joe, right?
And I kept saying Joe and and she had a hard time with that. Oh, really? Yeah.
Well, maybe because you senator. Yeah. Never to make to make big changes in life.

Um, is the government headed toward a shutdown? And you know, it's bad whenever someone like Joe Mansion is calling you out for just being ridiculously woke, you know? And look, these these these Democrats, these politicians in general, they're complete chameleons, right?
They'll go on one show that's leftwing and they'll say, "Oh, yeah, any politics. Like, that's not too bad, you know, like look how inclusive this person is for asking me how I want to be addressed and all this. " And then they'll go on Bill Maher showing that Bill Maher will call them out on their BS that they start saying stuff like that and they act completely differently, you know?
So, it's, you know, respect to Bill Maher for always holding strong and and correcting people whenever they're completely wrong. And you know, you got to respect it. Inferior.
It's ridiculous. It's I'm I'm going to say it's not. I think there's enough Democrats that'll work with Republicans not to shut it down.
They're just not talking. This whole thing's blown apart and you know this. They said we're going to use this and wedge this or wedge that.
If you vote to shut down, you're basically telling the American people, I can't do my job. And what's funny? Who runs the legislative branch?
The Republican party. The idea that Democrats need I'm listen I understand the Senate or the Congress. Listen House the it's the Senate.
It's going to go to the Senate. It passed the House. It passed the House.
But the Senate is basically what passed the House the shutdown. The Well, they will. That's not a problem.

You have a few singular Democrats who are out there fighting the good fight as joyful warriors. I'm not going to name names, but you know, those in the legislative branch, where are they? If this is their only lever, shouldn't they pull?
If that's what they're concerned about, then you when you shut the government down, how many people are harmed by that? Down the chain. I mean, so many different ways.
How you get your service? Well, that was always their argument. That is the argument there.
And I've told him, "And does it really change it? " Because at some point you have to go back. You have to go back and whoever is harmed is going to hold that against I know when Ted Cruz shut it down one year.
Yeah. And we couldn't figure out. I said, "Ted, what are you proving here?
We have to get back and let's get working things. " And they finally did. You know, who came up and made the deal with with uh McDonald, Senator McConnell from uh Kentucky.
[clears throat] This guy's just difficult to listen to. I'm not going to lie. He's he's on the verge of Joe Biden.
You know, he he is. But what with this what Bill Maher is saying, you know, I think he's trying to cut the Democrats some slack because he he goes so hard on them sometimes. But like I get it.
Their backs are against the wall. But their backs are against the wall for a reason. It's because of how horrible their rhetoric has been.
The just ridiculous things that nobody cares about that they continue to push for, you know, like these identity politics things like policing speech. That's why their backs are against the wall. That's why they have no power.
And I understand the game. you know, that's never going to be the case where they just kind of lay down and and regroup. They're always going to fight for something, but like damn, man.
You know, they're making us wait in TSA for 4 hours, 6 hours, flights getting cancelled. Like, come on, man. Like, let's [laughter] let's get something to to change here, you know?
Let's let's actually for once maybe just care about the American people just a little bit and maybe like not only care about power because like I said, that's all they really care about. Let's just like avoid the government shutdown, please. I understand that that's like the last thing that you have, but damn, man.
I'm tired of waiting TSA for so damn long. Was Ted Cruz. I mean, was Joe Biden and the Democrats got mad.
He says, "Don't you send that Joe Biden up here anymore to make a deal. " I have a hard time too many bills. Imagine that Chuck Schumer is going to do a redux of what he did last time given the blowback that he got from his own party.
But we'll see. He got it from the left. He got it from the extreme.
He's a Democrat. He has to be the leader. [laughter] If he's going to be the leader, he has to stand strong.
This does not don't punish the c country for not doing your job and sitting down working with people. The whole thing about this what do you mean doing a redux of what he did? Chuck Schumer that Chuck Schumer kept the government open by rallying Democrats and passing a budget.
He did he did the right thing. He's not going to do but and got an extraordinary amount of blowback. And we're talking about it's not just like let's just be clear.
Yes, it is funding the government. is also funding Trump's agenda which there are masked agents pulling people off the streets. It's like the handmaid's tail down in the south.
I mean the people are looking at a country that they don't recognize. Half people feel like this is not shutting it down is not going to change it. I understand.
It's also being massively overblown with what's going on. You know the whole ICE stuff. People are throwing bags over people's heads.
Like come on man. They're they're not doing that. Like it's just not happening.
you're you're too who you're chronically online if you genuinely believe that's happening. And I don't think that most of these people really believe that that's happening. They're just using that to further their talking points.
But they they don't believe that. Like just do the math, right? If Donald Trump is doing all these horrible things to deport as many people as he possibly could and he's still not even touching, not even coming close to the numbers that Obama was hitting with his deportations.
Why were you not complaining whenever Obama was doing this? Because he must have been doing some crazy If if Donald Trump is going to these lengths to deport people and mis and he's having to mistreat people so much in order to deport these people like just just imagine what Barack Obama is having to do and nobody's talking about that. So why is it only when Donald Trump does these things are are are is it a mass like atrocity even though most of these things are not really happening?
Every once in a while maybe an ICE agent will step out of line and do something he's not supposed to do. Yeah, you know, of course that's that's going to be any agency any law enforcement agency is going to do that. It's going to happen, right?
It's not I'm not saying it's good. I'm not saying it should be excused. Of course, it should be it should be addressed.
But they're acting like that's happening all over the place all the time. It's just not happen. It's just not true.
