hey what's going on guys it's Jack back again to bring you everything you need to know about displine priest in the liberation of undermine raid displine is an enormously powerful ramp healer and they use their healing spells to apply the atonement buff to their allies they use their powerful cooldown evangelism to extend the duration of the buff on all of their allies and then this healing buff is allowing your damage spells particularly your single Target damage spells to turn into healing onto your friends so for specific damage events you can build up all of these
healing Buffs on your friends with shields radiances renew and Flash Shields and then extend their duration with our evangelism cool down and then begin with a flurry of damage spells to produce massive amounts of burst healing the spec is going to be playing both void Weaver and Oracle hero talents void Weaver is excellent for very Punchy bursty events where you want to quickly apply a lot of atonements and consistently apply them around 30second coold Downs or so while Oracle really shines with having larger raid sizes particularly like 30 man raid sizes it's very good for
and for events where you might need more minute and a halfes timers where you want to have very large bursts on less consistent or less frequent damage events before we get into the nitty-gritty for the rotation I want to talk about the talents really quickly as there's a couple of key passives that will make make a lot more sense once you see the rotation a couple of them I want to point out are based off of your power Shield there is indemnity on your spec tree which causes your atonements to last 4 seconds longer if
you appli these with power Shield also you have words the Pius on your class tree which for 12 seconds after casting your Shield increases your Smite damage by 10% these are some very important factors for why you're using your Shields you also have some benefits with a talent like binding heals which also triggers some additional self-healing when you cast flash heel but it also has a hidden passive effect that applies atonement to you when you cast flash heeld on somebody else another thing is that Smite has a lot of good value in 11.1 they've added
a new talent in Divine procession which extends the duration of one act of atonement and it's your lowest AC of atonement by three seconds every time you cast Smite so every time you hit a Smite you extend the lowest duration atonement by 3 seconds the talent darkening Horizon in the hero talent tree for void Weaver causes your Smite which turns into void blast with the hero talent to increase the duration of your entropic Rift by up to 3 seconds in 1 second per Smite and so you have a lot of different passives that are getting
rolled in together to help you with these huge bursts of healing the Oracle talents are very similar to the void Weaver setup especially those passes we just mentioned but they also have a few different spectry variations Twilight equilibrium is particularly powerful as you are able to have a good mix of light and Shadow spells to buff your damage abilities while you're playing with Oracle casting a light spell like Smite is then going to buff your resulting Shadow spell like a dark repand by 15% once you complete that dark reprimand cast your next light spell like
a Smite is then going to be buffed by 15% you also have a talent called miraculous recovery in your hero talent for oracles and when you import this build it will appear as red this is on purpose as having instant cast radiances with the other talent that mirculous recovery shares a node withd actually results in lower atonement uptime assuming you can stand still and hard cast the radiance you would prefer to do that since the atonement is applied at the end of the gcd rather than applying it at the beginning of the gcd causing you
to wait an extra second before casting another spell so what's our rotation actually look like well it's a lot so let me show you the what and then I'll tell you the why after for raid healing I grabbed everyone together to jump into frostfire Ridge to kind of show you this sequence in slow mo so let's walk through it when you start you are going to begin by applying your atonements you start by refreshing Your Shadow word pain dot then you start with a power Shield this is a longer atonement duration thanks to that Indemnity
Talent we talked about then you want to cast six renew and you're going to just single Target hit renews onto players when it comes comes to your priority here if you know that range players are pretty spread out in this fight it might be a good thing to individually apply renews to them and we'll talk about that in just a second after that you want to cast a flash heel this is going to apply atonements to your Target and it's going to apply atonement to yourself at the exact same time thanks to that binding heal
passive then you cast power word Shield to wrap up your 10th atonement applied not only is this a longer atonement like we mentioned but it also is going to activate the words of the pious but so your smites are going to be stronger later on down the line so right here you've applied 10 atonements to your allies and the goal is of course to have 20 atonements onto the raid before we use our major cooldown so you individually are applying these 10 atonements and then you follow through by casting powered Radiance back to back these
are all of your atonement generating abilities you have Shield renew flash heel and power W Radiance you save the power radiances for the end because they have a lower atonement duration than the single Target atonements so you want to make sure you apply the single Target atonements first follow up with back-to-back Radiance casts and I always like to cast one on ranged and then one on melee so that there's a good chance that the Bounce from Radiance is going to be hitting different players so that you can kind of cast them back to back without
having to worry about recasting if you're casting on somebody who gained atonement from your first cast so you've applied 20 atonements then you need to extend the duration of them with evangelism this extends the duration of your atonements by 6 seconds Then followed up with your Void wraith into mind blast Penance if you're an execute you can use Shadow or death if not just keep on casting void blast until Penance comes back off cool down so there's a lot of passives in applying atonements which we just talked about let's talk about the passives for the
damage side starting off void wraith has many names it could be your mind Bender Your Shadow fiend if it has a longer cool down you know your squid it's got a lot of names okay when you activate your pet you probably are going to be playing with mind Bender for most of the fights in liberation of undermine there might be some fights where you play a minute and a half timer but when you're playing void Weaver it is the void wraith you activate your Void wraith and then it changes your Penance to become dark reprimand
which is a dark spell it also gains you Shadow Covenant which Buffs the damage of all your Shadow spells and so you are activating your pet first casting mind blast which is a shadow spell and it also extends the duration of your Shadow Covenant thanks to another passive Talent called inescapable torment and also triggers an extra attack for your pet so your pet might disappear on you that's normal then you hit your Penance which is usually your high healing ability your super hard hitting ability and this is buffed by another passive called harsh discipline which
after you cast Radiance is sending two extra bolts to your next Penance cast they've changed this in 11.1 so that it's giving you a Max of two extra bolts for your next cast but if you cast two radiances back to back then your second Penance cast is also going to be buffed by two bolts so both of these Penance casts are very very valuable in terms of your overall healing so you have the Mind blast a buffed up Penance follow up the void blasts and then if you're forced to move it's really good to use
Shadow or death but if you're focusing on maximum healing you'll want to cast those void blasts until you get your Penance or your dark reprimand as they call it back off cool down once again keep in mind that the more that you're casting these smites the more you're extending the duration of your atonements and so it's incredibly important to continuously be slamming smites until your Rift your entropic Rift from your Void Weaver hero talents is gone so every time you cast your mind blast it transforms your Smite into a dark spell void blast and you
continuously are casting Smite to extend its duration until it explodes goes underneath you know whatever your target is it explodes does damage that damage converts into healing on atonement so this was a lot for our evangelism ramp we're going to go a little quicker through the other versions now that you're understanding these fundamentals in a situation where you do not have evangelism you could still have both charges of your powered Radiance and you could still apply a lot of atonements to your group so in downtime you're going to have a very similar sequence where you
will have your Void wraith back and you'll have two powered Radiance charges and you can start doing a ton of healing you're going to start once again with refreshing Your Shadow or pain cast your Shield six renwes flash heal and then another Shield this is going to apply 10 individual atonements followed up your Void rate which you got to do earlier this time since you don't have an extended duration for your atonements because you don't have evangelism to help then you'll hit Radiance twice into mind blast into Penance into the void bolts and more Penance
this is what they call a mini ramp since you don't have access to evangelism to extend its duration and you can pretty much do these on cool down when you have your Void rate your Void wraith with mind Bender talented is going to be a 30-second cool down evangelism is a minute and a half cool down you can fit two more void wraith before you need to hold on to your Void wraith for your next cast of evangelism you also are going to have a lot of Mind blast cooldowns these are good to have whenever
you can just fit in some extra damage here and there mind blast cooldown is reduced by your haste so it's pretty easy to get some of these casts in and just do some extra damage keep some tank healing going onto your allies that's usually what you'll kind of do in downtime is just keep up atonement if you know you're not going to cast you know both your Radiance charges for a while you can just freely send your mind Blast for extra DPS on the boss it's great to do the final sequence is going to be
using ultimate penitence is a 4-minute coold down causes you to rise into the air and start firing off all of these bolts onto enemies what you want to do here is you want to take advantage of the uppies Talent passive that is right below it called overloaded with light this is going to apply 10 10 atonements for you automatically once you just activate the ultimate penitence ability so all you have to do here is once again refresh your Shadow or pain or make sure it has a long duration hit Shield two renwes and a flash
Shield that's going to apply five atonements for you you take a Radiance that's 10 atonements you hit mind blast into ultimate penitence and then this is going to apply 20 atonements and you need to make sure that you're targeting an enemy with your ultimate penitence cast so that when you rise up into the air you're just leashing a hell storm of penance bolts onto your enemy the very important thing to minmax this is you've activated mind blast which also applies a debuff which makes the target take 10% more damage and it also activates your Rift
what you can do to maximize your value out of ultimate penitence and shout out to clandon from the priest Discord for finding this out is you can actually Mash Smite as ultimate penitence is still going just before it ends let's say half second or less you can actually hit the void BL BL cancel the effect of ultimate penitence but cast a void blast as you're falling from the sky and that void blast is going to be more damage than finishing the last like half second of the ultimate penitence channel so if you can cut it
really close it's some really nice value Then followed up with the pendant and then another void blast until your atonements have fallen off so there's a lot to dis in terms of its ramping capabilities but that's why I wanted to talk about some of these passive effects that drive your decision-making and why you are doing what you are doing once again a lot of your healing is coming from setup and a lot of it is coming from making sure you have your Void wraith or your mind blast or both so as a result when you
are spending your Mana it's usually on individual atonements the renew the shields things like that and so your limit on how much you can ramp is going to be based off your mana and some of the fight timers whenever you're progressing and getting started on these fights it's the most important thing to figure out your upes ramp and your evangelism ramp and then as you get comfortable with those you start seeing where you can take advantage of fitting in extra radiances and fitting in these faster mini ramps to get some extra healing onto your allies
I would highly recommend checking out my written guide on Wowhead as there's more elaborate ride UPS offer why you're doing what you're doing that might help you out along your journey oracle's raid rotation is fairly similar to void Weavers especially when it comes to your atonement application you want to begin with a power W Shield followed up by your six renew if you have larger raid sizes you can apply a couple more renwes if you can fit them in followed up by a flash heel into a power word Shield that'll then apply your 10 atonements
you'll apply 10 more with backtack Radiance casts follow up with extending their duration with evangelism activate your Shadow fiend follow it up with mind blast this is going to apply that Schism incoming damage buff and then this is where you take advantage of premonition premonition starts with the insight cycle so this will give you coold down reduction for your following spells you activate that ability then you cast a Smite and then activate your premonition of piety at the same time with your hero talents you are having a 45 second cooldown which then having two of
those Buffs two of those charges in insight and piety is then going to align perfectly with your minute and a half cool down at a shadow fiend once you do so then you are having cooldown reduction and healing increased and then you can cast your dark reprimand Penance and what you'll do is you'll alternate between Penance and smite over and over again with your Insight every Penance is then getting its cool down reset you follow up with a Smite to get the Twilight equilibrium buff and follow up with a Penance once again until you have
completed all of your Penance casts possible and then you cast a Penance into a Smite into a shadow work death when you don't have Shadow fiend or your premonitions then you're going to have a pretty basic mini ramp where you Shield use renew and double Radiance to apply 10 atonements or as many as you can before the next damage event follow up with your double Radiance casts and follow up with mind blast into smites and penants as best you can your Oracle ramp it's almost the same as the void Weaver one where you are applying
five atonements with Shield renew into flash heeld then Radiance mind blast ultimate Penance and then try to get that Smite cast a fraction of a second before your ultimate penitence Channel ends now these are a lot of ramp sequences for both void Weaver and with Oracle and the question is always coming up what do you do in between these ramps well big thing is looking at your Radiance cool down as you are predominantly doing most of your healing around your power word Radiance casts since they apply very heavy amounts of atonement to the raid it
stands the reason that's where you're going to really make a lot of your bread when you play as Oracle you're really just doing your healing around your premonition cooldowns and then trying to make sure you don't waste any Radiance casts often what you're going to find on encounters is that you are not always going to Smite until your atonement sort of hit zero you're usually going to be looking for the next damage event and how well they're going to align with your Radiance charges as best as you possibly can and since Oracle in particular has
really long atonement duration you can start your ramps usually pretty quickly as soon as certain damage events are ending this gives you enough breathing room to start watching for the next damage mechanics start applying single atonements before your radiances are off cool down or as they're about to come off cool down and get yourself set up for Success you really want to be studying up on encounters and we have a section in my written guides in the description down below which breaks down what mechanics you want to start ramping for and so you'll want to
know to a te when you use your Shadow fiend or mind bender and your ultimate penitence and evangelism and then in between you want to make sure you're using both Radiance charges together whenever possible to produce good healing feeling for the low to moderate levels of damage that you don't have cooldowns for now that you're familiar with what to press let's talk about some of the other setup tools you have at your disposal gear wise you want to be focusing on highest eye level possible and lots and lots of haste like don't worry about diminishing
turns just get haste okay haste makes everything about disc feel way better you think you look at the rotation list and you're like wow it's a lot of spells to cast and there's a lot of time and I don't want my atonements to run off haste fixes all of this it is so power powerful it's so insanely helpful get more haste don't worry about DRS after that if you have to choose try to keep a relative balance of crit and Mastery they don't have to be perfectly equal but basically don't just only stack Mastery after
you've getting all your haste you can get you know keep that in mind you want haste crit gear or you want haste Mastery gear try to avoid burst gear as best you can our new tier set bonus is giving us the insurance buff onto our allies this actually kind of ends up healing us a lot just cuz of how a works so you kind of constantly have this insurance buff rolling on yourself some better selfhealing on yourself that's cool your four step bonus is going to cause your Shield when it is completely absorbed to apply
Assurance to your ally now you might think that you want to be casting shield on cool down all the time but you can't really do that in the ramp sequences that I just showed you but it is something that you would want to be doing during downtime and that is anytime that you are not using like Radiance casts for example and if if you are using your Radiance cast of course you want to make sure you're casting that Shield beforehand for the words of the pious buff but also finding a Target where that Shield is
going to get fully absorbed tanks are always a great Target for this now on to our cheat codes there's a few things that even if you just walk in and you follow my guide so far to the letter there's still different ways that you can maximize your output two of them in fact first one is going to be having a good Macro for your Smite so the macro that I'm going to show you and it's in the description as well it's in my guides it's there go grab it what it's going to do for you
is it's going to cause your Smite to not clip your Penance and what that means is while you're channeling Penance the global cooldown has reset allowing you to cast another spell but you're still channeling Penance so if you have the macro you can be mashing Smite even though you're channeling Penance and then it will not interrupt your Penance until the cast is completed and then it'll allow you to cast a Smite this way you don't have to wait for the channel to complete and then be hitting the Smite button afterwards is a nice way to
just kind of maximize your uptime and squeeze more value out of your atonements and it also does not prevent you from interrupting your ultimate penitence channel so you can still interrupt that by just pressing the Smite button when you have this macro next up we're going to talk about wheel and wo this is a really powerful Capstone talent for priest in season 2 and what it does is basically when you Channel penants there's a couple different modifiers like we've mentioned that determine how many bolts you're firing with harsh discipline but based off how many Penance
bolts you let fly you gain Stacks those Stacks will buff your next Smite or your next power word Shield but there is a way to do both it's called spell queuing and basically this is kind of a reverse of the clipping that I talked about with the macro it's that as you're casting a Smite onto an enemy you can also Target an ally with a power shield and so if they happen at a close enough level you can actually for Force The Shield buff for wheel and wo onto a Target while still having the Smite
buff onto the enemy you get value from both of them and you have really good spot healing in the process so what happens when things don't go perfectly as planned and you can't sit in a nice pile of players when you're in frostfire Ridge and everything's nice and sanitary well let's talk about that you have a specific window in mind when you play disc that you need to hit this window and make sure you have all your atonements up so you can start doing damage and save lives at a elite level of dis priest your
job is often to cover most of the damage and no other healer has major healing going and so you got to learn how to cut Corners if stuff goes wrong as I mentioned before you have a very elaborate and long cast sequence to apply all your atonements and it's very important to make sure that you're on time for some of these mechanics if you want to know about ramp timers check it out in the written guides we have a whole raid tip section there and we're going to be updating it a whole bunch as the
tier progresses but when you get into area areas where you're running for your life you're dealing with raid mechanics you have to take care of this job that job whatever it might be the most important things you can be doing is make sure that you cast a flash heel into a shield Before You cast your radiances this is twofold one of which flash heel is going to cost you one gcd and apply two atonements The Shield is going to be applying the words the piest buff and it's going to be a longer atonement which gives
you a little bit of extra head room then you know you of course you're going to have your double Radiance casts back to back and being mindful of say casting one of them on a melee player one of them on a range player is going to make you be a lot more efficient as you're making sure that you get yourself set up so if you're trying to cut Corners you can cut out some of these single Target atonements if you know that you're going to be late a lot of times what I try to do
on progress as I'm learning is make sure that I might have 15 atonements or 16 atonements but my timing will be perfect so that way I can say all right I just got to start earlier next time but at least I'm a ble to fully be healing 15 players and then the other healers can kind of make up for it and give some more priority healing to those that I missed and then you want to start focusing on that damage rotation the other thing is on movement there's a crazy amount of movement in the liberation
of undermine raid but a lot of it it can be planned around in that you say hey in 20 seconds I need to be over there but not right now this is your opportunity to start slide casting with Penance and Shadow or death these are abilities that you can either cast while moving or are instant cast and you start using them to shift positions and get closer to where you need to be for the next round of mechanics this is imperative for encounters like one arm bandit where you might need to quickly run from one
location to another to bait certain mechanics or to make sure that you are getting fire puddles out from the raid really quickly there's a lot of different scenarios for it and keeping in mind how you want to reapply your dots or making sure you're using the most valuable instant casts can make a really huge difference in your safety during progression also keep in mind that your Shadow word pain is valuable but not so valuable that you want to delay your entire ramp sequence so if you found that it has fallen off or something like that
just make sure that you continue with your damage profile as usual another thing is taking advantage of your utility you have access to a few different great cooldowns in barrier pain suppressions good shields in general and of course you have your own personals in fade and desperate prayer but also protective light where you cast flash shield and it'll give you 10% Dr with all these tools at your disposal you want to figure out how to prioritize them before you walk into raid fights a goal is always to find some kind of spot for your barrier
and think about that spot in advance because just randomly sending the barrier often doesn't do nearly as much help as you might think it does and if you know that you have lots of healing for one area well you may not need to have damage reduction for it on top the areas where you have barrier and your ramp happen from time to time but they're usually a lot more rare in progress rating so as a result try to have a fleshed out idea of when you want to have barrier which is a time where you
do not have evangelism and then talk to your tanks for the fights about pain suppression because if they do have a time in mind for pain suppression then you should be holding it but if they don't you should be taking advantage of at least one of your charges of pain suppression to make sure that you are providing either personal defensive to somebody standing in too much goo or you're watching out for yourself as your working to get used to setting up your ramps for each of these individual encounters that wraps up our guide for dis
