Now it's morning and it's pretty quiet It's not very hot so it's the perfect moment to show you my neighbourhood. Vila Olímpica is a neighbourhood situated in the district of Sant Martí in the center of Barcelona It's near the beach, just about 5 or 10 minutes.
It's a residential, quiet and multicultural neighbourhood. There are wide streets and avenues, parks and areas for sports Here at Parc de la Ciutadella there is a very special fountain: La Cascada monumental a set of fountains, architecture and sculptures that is worth visiting. One of the places that I like the most in my neighbourhood is Parc de la Ciutadella a park approximately 10 minutes walking where one can go for a walk, walk, rest and simply relax.
The neighbourhood is very well connected. There are buses, trams, metro stops quite close, and, also, there are lots of bikes to rent Bicycles are a very popular means of transport in Barcelona. We continue walking through the neighbourhood As you know, masks are compulsory in all Catalonia in open and closed spaces Now there aren't many people I take off my mask and I keep telling you I really like my neighbourhood because there are lots of trees on the streets as you can see and it's very nice in the summer, for example, when it's hot because there is shadow and it's cooler Also, the streets are wide and there's a lot of space to walk There are bars, cafes, restaurants, shops, supermarkets, gyms, cinemas, shopping centers, Another great place a bit further away, about 15 or 20 minutes walking is the promenade and the beach The sea is very important to me and the truth is it's a luxury to have the sea so close This promenade is usually full of tourists and a lot of people walking Now, to be honest, it's quite hot It's 11 am At night there are more people but it's true that this year is a bit unusual a bit weird There's not much tourism so everything is quieter and it's more comfortable for us On the seafront it's typical to eat paella, for example, in the restaurants and bars near the beach and, also, it's typical to do sport meet with friends to go for drinks and simply enjoy the views This is my street Here, as you can see, there are also lots of trees shade to walk wide avenues.

What I don't like about my neighbourhood is that sometimes it can be noisy because there is a lot of traffic and, also, pollution Another negative aspect is that flats are quite expensive It's difficult to find affordable apartments but, in fact, this happens in all Barcelona.
