Feels like a do or die moment. I've already done this too many times to even be too worried about it. Don't worry about nothing else and and start boxing.
All right. Ready? Here we go.
What's up, man? What's up, brother? Just on the ground.
You got clowns out here asking me what my intentions are today. Bro, I'm trying to train. I'm I'm locked in.
What? It sucks. This that's boxing at its finest right there.
I see perfection and I'm telling you it's it's dangerous for the other guy because I see that he's a complete boxer. He just I told you yesterday that he was talking about his his his body structure, you know, what what it means to him and now he knows that this is the way he has to be going into the ring. I've never heard that before.
So I told him, you know what, that's a breakthrough. This is like it makes you not complete fighter. Can you have like the song's called Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven, but like really like I can't really hear it, but Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven.
Just like very faint. Yeah. speaking right by the ring corner.
So, pivot out. Block lead. Ryan Garcia is reportedly training alongside Javvant Davis ahead of his showdown with Connor Ben.
The former rivals sharing a training environment has attracted attention as Garcia continues preparing for another major challenge. Even when you don't want to work, you got to work. You know what I mean?
So definitely seeing Ryan today definitely gave me juice to get in there. But Ryan Garcia is stepping up his preparation for one of the biggest fights of his career. And the latest training footage shows just how seriously he is approaching the challenge.
With a world title on the line, Garcia is putting together an intense camp ahead of his showdown with Connor Ben. Look at this guy. Who is this guy?
I don't even know this guy. Always right. Always right.
Always ready. We ready. We ready for this camp.
Uh we've been keeping it pretty with the same kind of pattern. You know, we wake up around 8 8:30 and then head to the, you know, strength and conditioning gym. We lift weights.
We do, you know, conditioning drills, sprints, all that stuff. Um then we take a minor, you know, 10-minute break, and then we head to, you know, boxing. Garcia has been working through demanding conditioning sessions with his strength and conditioning team pushing him through exercises designed to build power, explosiveness, and overall physical strength.
Make sure that the body feels right and that we are strong. Keep that pace. Keep that pace.
30 seconds. Last 30 seconds. Got a boy.
Perfect. The work inside the gym is not just about looking strong. Every part of the preparation is aimed at ensuring Garcia can maintain his speed and power when the pressure rises inside the ring.
Despite those resounding victories, a perhaps unfair perception nags at Garcia that he lacks an edge, that he's wholesome for his opponent. That's enough to question Garcia's medal. Even his good looks draw doubters.
To them, he's little more than a pretty face. I don't even know if I should take that as a, you know, a diss or a compliment. Thank you, I guess, but I'mma come whoop your I'm here to get nasty and I'm coming at you and you seen it.
Ryan Garcia says his goal is to become a bigger name in boxing and reach the highest level possible. He acknowledges the risks that come with stepping into the ring, but his mindset remains simple. Garcia wants to keep improving, prove himself against the best, and most importantly, get the win.
That's it. I'm a brave soul, you know. I'm a brave soul and I'm somebody that you could trust to always speak up with injustices and try to be the best leader I could possibly be, admit my wrongs, but also, you know, fight for what I believe in.
Ryan Garcia is also putting serious focus into strengthening his body and improving his overall physical condition. His training pushes his muscles through demanding movements while stretching his body to its limits. Every session is designed to help him become stronger, more explosive, and better prepared for the physical demands waiting inside the ring.
Um, what you put in is uh just as important. I was just so used to just being like a superhuman almost and just never getting affected by anything I put in my body. But I think as I got older, I started realizing like, you know, I got to start paying attention to now what I'm putting in.
He could maintain for hours if he needed. [music] His core is shredded. He's absolutely in the best shape of his life and and it's shown with making very hard things look easy in the gym.
I really paid attention to what I was putting in my body and how it was affecting me in sparring, affecting me in training. So, it's really been a journey this camp and I really dialed in on that and that's really taken me to the next level. Garcia has also been spending time developing his punching power.
Heavy work on the bag shows him sitting down on his shots and putting full force behind his combinations. That power could become a major factor when the two fighters meet, especially because Garcia has already established himself as one of the division's most dangerous punchers. Oh, [snorts] Garcia is seen throwing combinations at a high pace, working on his timing while staying sharp between punches.
His speed has always been one of his biggest weapons, but against Ben, accuracy and discipline will be just as important. Ben is known for bringing pressure and aggression, meaning Garcia cannot afford to lose concentration for even a moment. Shh.
33 rounds. Good. Solid.
Look at that. Defense is another major part of the preparation. Garcia has been drilling defensive movements, working on slipping punches, moving his head, and creating opportunities to counter.
Against an aggressive fighter like Ben, those defensive reactions could be crucial. Garcia will need to avoid getting caught standing in front of his opponent while still finding the openings to land his own attacks. I'm going to be prepared because every day I've been doing this and everything's been consistent.
[music] It's almost like getting your homework done. like you got your homework done, you've been studying, you have not lo, you know, you've been at every class and it's like, all right, I'm not that nervous. Like still got a little like, ooh, but all right, if the an like question comes, I'm going to be there to answer it.
Like, I've already done this too many times to even be too worried about it. Don't worry about nothing else and and start boxing. Ryan Garcia raised the pace during his sparring session with Jason the giving everyone a glimpse of the speed and precision that have made him one of boxing's biggest stars.
After spending the opening rounds taking it easy and enjoying the moment, Garcia began letting his hands go, firing off blistering combinations that made the difference in experience impossible to miss. Wait, I got a mouthpiece. No, you did.
[laughter] Wait, what? [panting] What is this? Push.
Calm down. It's this Beautiful. All right, J.
Got to break the momentum. He's on this. Oh What are you going to do?
A [screaming] despite how lopsided the action became, the sparring session stayed light-hearted and respectful from start to finish, giving fans a close-up look at Ryan Garcia's speed and precision ahead of his showdown with Connor Ben. Jason the never stopped trying, showing plenty of toughness and determination. But Garcia dictated every exchange with crisp combinations, sharp footwork, and smart defensive movement.
Rather than settling any score, the session was simply another chance for Garcia to sharpen his timing, stay active, and put on a show for the fans. For Garcia, the workout reinforced the feeling that he's building momentum at the perfect time. I don't have to switch to remember you're going forward right here, Jason.
I'm going back. Stay right there in the middle. Don't go back.
[panting] Keep going forward. Keep going. [laughter] Oh Now you got Whether working the pads, drilling combinations on the heavy bag, or sparring in the gym, Garcia has consistently focused on making the punch faster, more accurate, and more powerful.
His hand speed, timing, and precision have stood out in every session, hinting that he plans to capitalize on any defensive mistake Ben makes. With Fight Night drawing closer, Garcia appears convinced that a perfectly timed right hand could be the shot that changes everything. So if you want to go get it flex [music] up Beautiful.
However, new footage showing Ryan Garcia training inside his own home has raised questions among Ong some boxing observers. While the clips show Garcia staying active and continuing to work, critics believe training outside a dedicated boxing camp could become a concern ahead of such an important fight. The criticism is mainly about consistency and focus, especially with Connor Ben waiting on September 12th.
[screaming] A proper camp environment provides structure, coaching, sparring, recovery, and fewer distractions, which can be crucial during a championship preparation. Rick Glazer also questioned the decision, arguing that Garcia needs complete concentration to prepare properly for Ben. However, the home footage alone does not confirm that Garcia is conducting his entire training camp there.
Boxing commentator Rick Glazer raised concerns after seeing Ryan Garcia's latest training footage, particularly because the session appeared to take place at Garcia's home rather than inside a dedicated boxing gym. Glazer believes that could become an issue if Garcia is not able to maintain complete focus during camp. He stated, "Notice Ryan Garcia training taking place in his home, not in a boxing gym in a camp setting.
Not a good sign, especially for Ryan, as he's easily distracted by all the other going on in his life. Ryan Garcia needs 100% concentration preparation to be able to beat Connor Ben. " His comments highlight why the footage has attracted attention ahead of the fight.
Canelo Alvarez believes Ryan Garcia is a special fighter and has backed him to win against Connor Ben. However, Canelo also recognizes Ben's qualities, describing him as a dangerous opponent with real power and aggression. The former champion expects Garcia to face a tough challenge when the two meet for the WBC title.
Ryan, he's very talented and when he's he can beat everybody. Do you think he wins that fight? I know Connor too, and I like Connor, too.
Um, but I think Ryan is is a special fighter. After Ryan Garcia's recent victory over Mario Barios, former welterweight champion Shawn Porter gave his assessment of Garcia's chances against Connor Ben. Porter, who has also shared four rounds of sparring with Ben, believes Garcia's speed and power from the outside could give him the advantage.
Porter picked Garcia to win 60 40 potentially by knockout while acknowledging Ben is tough and more versatile than he previously appeared. I know you sparred Connor Ben. Um, how did that go?
And they're in a potential talk with a fight with Ryan Garcia. How do you think that fight will go down? I think that fight based off of how Ryan Garcia just looked in his last fight.
I mean, it looks like he he beats Connor Ben. Connor Ben has a style that that matches what Ryan is good. You know, it the style clash favors Ryan Garcia because of his speed, because of his power from the outside.
So, um, definitely a tough fight for Connor Ben. Again, based off of Ryan's last fight, I would say 6040. Ryan Garcia wins that fight, possibly KO, but Connor is very, very tough, and that's what I already knew about him, but I got to see it firsthand when we sparred.
Um, he's much more versatile than than we saw in the first fight with you. Eubank comes back in a rematch against Eubank. We see the versatility, we see the speed, the foot movement, and things of that nature.
Those were the things that I saw and sparring when I sparred with him just you know four you know easy rounds or whatever. Um which let me know that he could beat uh Chris the first fight I said man he just was hyped up. He got caught up in the moment.
The second fight he comes back and as most of us would. I would have come back much different and the second fight with Kell Brookke. You know you kind of learn some things about your opponent and you see their speed, their power and you're more ready for it than the second one.
Former IBF welterweight champion Kell Brookke believes Ryan Garcia will successfully defend his WBC welterweight title when he takes on Connor Ben, backing the American to come out on top in their highly anticipated showdown. He said, "I think Connor has it all. He can fight.
I'd have liked him to have got a British title first, but he is a PPV fighter. It's a very exciting fight. Ryan can whack big time, and this is going to be a real test for Connor.
He's coming down to welterweight. This is more his weight, but it's two serious characters who aren't going to disappoint. Brooke further added, "I give Connor a good chance, but I do lean towards Garcia.
I just think he'll rise to the occasion. I think Garcia has that get out of jail card. When I boxed Shawn Porter, I went to Vegas to finish some sparring, and I put it onto this kid.
" And after we got chatting, he said he's never been hit as hard as Ryan Garcia. The punch power he's got is just next level. Aid Olad Depot also discussed the business side of Ryan Garcia versus Connor Ben and why Zufa boxing could play an important role in making the fight happen.
With Ben now linked to Zufa and Garcia holding the WBC welterweight title, the matchup gives the new promotion a major opportunity to make an immediate statement in boxing. Aid pointed out that the fight has appealed on both sides of the Atlantic with Garcia bringing a huge American following while Ben has become one of Britain's biggest names. If Zufa can help put the event together, it would give the promotion a high-profile fight involving two established names rather than simply building from scratch.
Connor Ben has been going Ryan for [music] ages. He's been calling for this fight. He's been wanting this fight.
Ryan really hasn't engaged. Um although we knew this fight was going to happen. As soon as the WBC uh put Connor Ben as did they put him as mandatory or did they rank him number one?
They're slightly different those two things. Um, but as soon as they did that anyway, we knew it was just a case of, okay, how are they going to work this out from Ryan's perspective [music] with Golden Boy and Don and I feel like they've come to an agreement. I haven't read too much about how this fight's going to play out in terms of broadcast, but I did read something that Don have UK and Ireland rights, and I'm guessing that in America it's going to be, I don't know, Ring Magazine, Zufa.
[music] I know that sounds a bit strange, but I do think everyone is going to try and get a slice of the pie in order for this fight to be made, [music] and that's what's happened. As for the fight, I know a lot of you probably uh won't be too happy with Connor Ben getting this opportunity, but Ryan didn't deserve the opportunity when he fought Barios. Let's not forget Ryan's fight before Barios with Ro Romero.
The matchup also carries plenty of commercial potential because Garcia and Ben already have recognizable profiles and a genuine competitive storyline. For Zufa, getting behind a fight of this size could be an important way to establish itself in the boxing landscape. Aid's discussion highlighted how the Garcia Ben matchup is not only about what happens inside the ring, but also about the promotional battle surrounding one of the biggest fights available to the new boxing company.
And his next fight is a world title fight. So, uh, neither are probably deserving of the opportunities given to them, but don't take away from the fact that that doesn't mean it's not a big fight. This is an enormous fight.
It really is. Conor Ben is well known now to the American market. Obviously, Ryan's a superstar over there and I think it'll be a good fight as well.
What Connor Ben has done in terms of selling himself to the American market, a signing with Zufa has helped. It has, right? He's been in spaces now where the American sort of fight audience are starting to get to know him.
I still believe that Shakur Stevenson Tfimo Lopez fight where Shakur almost calls Connor into the ring. Connor obliges that's helped in terms of grow his audience in America. And the Eubank fights have as well.
I think he got a lot of respect especially for the first Eubank fight. It's weird. He got more respect for the loss than the win.
That's the way I've taken it. He got a lot of respect for [music] the first fight with Eubank. He came out to America I think the week after uh it got fight of the year as well and I think that award was given into him given to him sorry in America so the American audience knows who Connor Ben is.
That's it for today's video. Stay tuned.
