still clueless about his own abilities is IDE dear light like that no way in freaking seven Hells the moment he got his hands on the death note to hell with ryuk his explanations and his freaking apples light analyzed everything by himself he experimented and researched everything until he figured out the ins and outs of the Death Note as well as his unique situation he knew how far away he could pill kill his targets he learned about the requirements like knowing their names and faces he even figured out how much he could manipulate their actions before
killing them light analyzed everything all within just a few days unlike Platinum 's idiotic protagonist who never had an original thought in his life and had nothing except plot armor going for him light actually turned the world upside down with his sheer analysis strategy wickedness and willpower alone that's the difference and as for you my friend one who wishes to outwork and screw over competition the way light did my heartfelt advice to you is always observe analyze and make deductions regarding whatever new situation you're thrown into as if your life freaking depends on it strategize
