Drop Servicing Blueprint
Here we are with another Drp Servicing interview with member of the Drp Servicing Blueprint. B. J.
, and I'm really glad to have you on. I've been trying to get on into you for a long time, pestering you on Skype. But yeah, just to start off with B.
J. , you could kind of introduce yourself, let us know a little bit about who you are, where you're from and everything. Leading up to your discovery of online business.
Yeah. Well, firstly, thanks. I'm glad that I finally made the time to have a chat.
Yeah. I used to be in the hospitality business for the better part of 20 years. Ran high, high volume businesses, restaurants.
Needless to say, tough business. And I've been looking at online businesses for probably the better part of five years now, looking for something that I could do to eventually leave my job and went through, as most people would do through the Drpshipping affiliate marketing process. Didn't really get much traction there.
And then obviously started seeing your ads on YouTube and I started looking into that and eventually took the plunge about a year and a bit later I've managed to get my business to the point where I can do it full time. I left my job at the end of last year and moved to Tbilisi, Georgia at the end of January and running my agency full time. A bit of an adjustment going from one extreme to the next High intensity businesses with 75 staff, seven days a week to get to absolutely doing my thing and great and all of that.
But trying to snuck into the lifestyle's a bit challenging for me, but absolutely loving it. Hmm. Yeah.
Yeah, definitely. A bit of a lifestyle change going from that industry So, yeah, I guess. What drove you towards the Drp Servicing business model?
Well, I think it's something that has got substance to it. Like it's a legitimate business. You know, it's not Drp shipping for me if you have to compare that to obviously Drp shipping obviously is scalable.
But what I found is it was extremely time consuming. And a lot of trial and error and hit and miss and no guarantees. With Drp Servicing.
It's a legitimate agency. You're dealing with legitimate companies offering a service, adding value. Yeah.
It's just something that I enjoy doing is to add value for companies and, you know, working with really talented people and anything that I can do anywhere in the world, obviously, which is also great. So I'm not tied down to any specific country Yeah, it's a legitimate business and it's something that has got legs. I obviously have been massively inspired by yourself and Steve, so I do know that it's got massive scope.
So I came to Tbilisi, Georgia to specifically scale the business. It's the cheaper cost of life. Yeah.
And yeah, I just really want to focus and scale things, things up. So yeah, Drp Servicing is the way to go. Yeah, that's awesome.
Awesome. I guess the next question would be you mentioned that you saw the ad and jumped in like everyone does, of course. But what made you, I guess, take the leap into joining the Drp Servicing Blueprint?
Just desperate to make a change You know, my lifestyle was not enjoyable. I've really been hating restaurants for the better part of five years, six years. And obviously you when COVID hit last year, it really made me take action.
You know, we went from doing substantial turnover to losing 90% of our trades as soon as lockdown happened. Yeah I think that was really the push that I needed. So I really put massive effort in.
I had quite a lot of time on my hands and anyways so I took the leap And obviously your course is extremely thorough. And from that point of view, I knew that it's got the right content and teachings in it. To try to get me to the point where I can do it full time.
Yeah, yeah. I guess one question would be what do you think was the most helpful part of the Drp Servicing Blueprint Yeah, well, two things really is the in-depth teaching and the actual course, you know, the step by step over the shoulder case studies and that type of thing. And then also the Facebook group, you know, our Facebook group I think is awesome for anyone starting with, you know, Steve and yourself and the rest of the guys also are extremely helpful and open, which I find you don't really find that often.
I think so, yeah. I think I would say the Facebook group and the actual content within the course. I've just actually started going through the called email marketing module, which has been updated and that's been great for me.
So I'm busy actually currently testing two new campaigns now and I still haven't gone through the whole course yet to be to be brutally honest, I actually now that I've got time I'm going to actually start from the beginning, maybe not from right from the start, but I want to go through every single module properly, especially social media outreach, which I haven't looked at at all three freelancer platforms and that type of thing. Awesome. Yeah, it's really common.
I think most people that are into always say they didn't finish the entire course and they've already managed to build pretty cool businesses, so that's awesome. How long did it take you to get your first sale after joining the program? Yes, I started at the end of 2020.
I started running campaigns called Email and LinkedIn Outreach. You in, I think October and I got my first sale, I think about six weeks and it wasn't big at all. It was like, I think $540, nothing major.
But it was proof of concept for me actually. At that stage I had a salesman that did my calls for me because I literally didn't have the time to do nighttime calls because of the time difference. But yeah, about six weeks to get the first sale.
OK, awesome. It sounds like you're primarily selling to the US. Primarily, yeah.
And what I'll do, I've sold to three companies in Canada and quite a few companies in the US and UK based companies. OK, and how long did you say you've been a part of the program? Was it one year?
So it's now it's I think about a year and four months, five months, maybe one and a half years. And my mind, it seems like you've been a part of the program for ages. Yeah, so you're more of a veteran at this point.
Awesome, man. Yeah. So, OK, so overall, how much have you made so far in your Drp Servicing business?
I think I've done probably I would need to calculate that property, but between probably 75 and $80,000. Awesome. Around about there.
Yeah, yeah. That's definitely better than I did my first year of Drp Servicing. So it's always funny as well.
Like a lot of people say, Oh, is this service or that service saturated? And they said a lot obviously about animated videos because they say, my first business, that's kind of the case study we use when selling the program and everyone's wondering if that's like a saturated business model to get into but back in 2015 when I started I was asking the same thing and I was wondering the same thing. Yeah.
And now you guys are usually making more than I did in my first year. With that same service. So that just goes to show that it's actually growing that space, the demand, you know, to that that is exactly what it is.
You know, to that point as much as they are new agencies delivering the same service, there are new companies starting every single day needing those services. I mean, I probably only scratch the actual surface now in terms of outreach. I mean there is like a plethora of means and ways to get hold of startup companies and not only LinkedIn, but code called email outreach and social media outreach.
So there's so much so many ways to outreach and to good business. I don't think that, you know, as long as you deliver a good service, at the end of the day, your clients will come back for more. So yeah, yeah.
100%. OK, one interesting thing would be if you could give us kind of a differentiator or compare and compare and contrast between your past business and hospitality and what it's like and Drp Servicing in terms of, you know, your day to day operations and just a day to day lifestyle. Yeah.
I mean, that's like the complete polar opposite in terms of lifestyle. I mean, my old lifestyle was pretty much working six days a week managing between the two businesses. About 75 staff.
Yeah, a big management team and everything. So that's all consuming and massive commitment in terms of time and effort with the remuneration side of it, not always great, you know, profits are there, but it's, you know, it comes in bad guys way now, you know, which I've actually found quite challenging is, is waking up in the morning and you know, I can choose what I want to do, you know, so the first couple of months that I started this lifestyle, obviously I was doing whatever I wanted and traveling a bit and not really working too much. But yeah, so now I'm trying to be a bit more disciplined in terms of actually realizing the lifestyle that I've been dreaming of, which is, you know, waking up in the morning and going to the gym and having a breakfast and doing a bit of work and going to a coffee shop and that type of thing.
So I have managed to achieve the lifestyle that I've been fantasizing about for so long, you know? So yeah, that's pretty much what the difference is. Yeah, yeah, for sure.
And the thing about going through that change as well as I think the biggest experience is before, when you're working in a business with other people where you know you have bosses and all of that sort of thing, everything that you do is kind of dictated by someone else's decisions and that's bad in some ways. And then good in some other ways because you don't have to think so much about what you're doing at any given moment. But when you become a business owner, you have basically complete freedom about what to do with your time and then it becomes actually structuring that time and being able to manage your time well enough so you can do the cool stuff you want to do.
And then also, you know, we like to work in our businesses as well. Even though we, you know, fantasize about, you know, being on the beach all day. At a certain point you want to do a bit of work each day and build your business and it's cool to have goals and that sort of thing.
So I think that's the biggest difference really. I like just having that structure and being able to manage your time in any given day when you were a Drp server. So yeah, online business owner for sure.
Exactly. So I guess one question would be what stage is your business at currently? You know, what does it look like and what are your goals for the future?
Yeah, so my business at this stage is I've got three ongoing clients, which is like the mains ongoing business. So I started off with the first project. It's like a trial and it's turned into multiple projects, which I'm extremely grateful for.
So that's what I'm currently working on. But what I, what I am realizing is the mistake that I had made is took my foot off the gas in terms of outreach. When I started doing good numbers, I had a very good end of last year.
I think in November I did almost about $20,000. And then I kind of and it was ongoing business from then on. Yeah.
So business is pretty stable now. I've got ongoing business, which is a good thing, but I have just taken on a new sales sales guy who I'm trying to book goals for. So I'm just really want to try it to a stage where I'll put more people in both to help grow the actual business and to scale it.
Yeah, 100%. That's, that's good level to be as well because I can become comfortable when you start getting a few recurring clients who are paying, you know, month after month with new projects. But then once you take your foot off the gas pedal, those new clients do dry up.
I mean, it takes a few more months to get them going again. So that's why we always need to be pushing it more and more, even though it can be pretty cool and comfortable. And that first time, that's what usually happens.
Most people when they first start getting those recurring clients and they're getting regular income in their business, they always typically make that same mistake of taking their foot off the gas pedal when it comes to the outreach. But you'll find that you'll be able to pick it up again pretty quickly just within a few months of doing a bit of outreach. And it can take a bit of time to pick up because generally you'll find the buying process can be, you know, two weeks to one month for a lot of these clients.
There's a bit of a delay. Yeah, and yeah, that's exactly what I'm actually finding. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
100%. So I guess, you know, what would you say if someone was on the fence about working with us and starting a Drp Servicing business themselves? I think at the end of the day, it's one thing committing to doing it.
It's another thing actually taking action. You know, I would probably say if you are sitting on the fence, this is probably the most thorough course out there. And in terms of support and training, I mean, you can't really ask for much, much more and a community and the Facebook group, which is pretty awesome.
But the most important thing is to actually take action and consistent action, not just for a couple of days or a week or two weeks, you know, having that goal in your mind and working and striving towards it every single day, taking action and actually making it happen. Yeah, 100%. I think those are some really nice words to leave this interview and then we'll we'll leave it at that.
But thanks so much for taking the time. Thank you, Guy and loving lifestyle over there. So I really appreciate that.
And to everyone watching, don't forget to like the video as a thanks to B. J. giving us this interview and coming blows any questions you have.
And I will respond personally, but next time.
