all right guys today we're going to talk about some of the things you can do after you post a YouTube video I do not know if this applies for Tik Tok and Instagram but I've only tested it on the YouTube side of things right so a lot of people think that oh after I post a video that's it like you're done you're finished you're doomed right no you can do so many things to improve the likelihood of a video performing well and I'm going just tell you some of these things and I'm going show you
where you can go to do those things right so the first thing you can do is change the title and thumbnail of a video and the description so that it can perform well so for example if you do a video that talks about um how to get a sixpack tutorial and you're like uh after seven or eight days of posting the video the video is kind of just like this but it's getting more Impressions which means like Impressions means how many people see the video but don't actually click on it and watch the video that
means how many times people see it it's like you walk down the street and then you see an ad but you don't actually go to the website you get what I mean um and that can happen to a lot of videos and a lot of people just kind of get discouraged and they're like well my video did trash and that's it you know what I mean no you can actually change the title of that video and the thumbnail and the description as well you just got to give the algorithm some time to recognize that change
don't change it every half a second thinking that your video is going to go up you got to give it like a few days right you can do something called AB testing right and that's basically when you test one um version of the video to another version of the video and then you compare the results to see which one gets like more views or a better click-through rate and clickthrough rate is basically how many people actually click on it um versus how many people like actually just saw it you know what I mean um compared
to your impressions to keep it short so you can change your title so if you had how to get a six-pack tutorial which is like a flat title and it's like okay just show me how to get a six-pack and you want to change it to how I would get a sixpack in 2024 in six in less than six months like something like that you know what I'm saying that's more of like a personal making it more personal and showing people like what to expect in the video and giving them like a Time frame in
which you they can um get the results as well obviously not every going to be everyone's going to be able to get it in less than 6 months cuz everyone has different bodies but you know just to make it more enticing you know what I'm saying and with those you can put the some some newer keywords I I spoke about this in another video you can put some newer keywords in the description and in your title to kind of give it more of a chance when it comes to uh people actually typing up how to
get a sixpack or sixpack AB tutorial you can put that in the description so that that you can optimize your SEO for the video so that it has a better chance of being viewed you know what I mean or making it to the top of the YouTube search bar which is if you do that you're You're Gold you're good right you're going to get that video that does 80% um YouTube search views and that's amazing right and you can also change the thumbnail right a slight change like a thumbnail with text on it and a
thumbnail without text on it can really make a big difference right sometimes it's better to have text sometimes it's not better to have text you know what I'm saying but it depends on what the text is saying if you have a title that says how to get a sixpack and you put how to get six how to get a six-pack with your like six-pack in the thumbnail in the in the in the thumbnail with the same line of text it's just not going to has it it doesn't work you're kind of just saying the same
thing in the title in the thumbnail you're going to say you got to kind of spruce it up and support the thumbnail as well right and you can do these things right another thing that you can do as well like say if you have a particular part in a video cuz I had to do this in one of my videos where I kind of like uh was doing the whole pay Stu breakdown of my first paycheck and it and I had to edit the video um and a lot of people think that once you post
a video you can't edit it while it's live and post a new video that's edit edited so let me just go to my YouTube dashboard real quick and show you exactly what I'm talking about St for example um I wanted to edit this video my first paycheck which is exactly the one I edit you can change the the the the title the description and the thumbnail right as I said before but there's something on the left side called editor right and basically this will allow you to blur things out so if I wanted to blur
let's say do a face blur no let's make it a little bit more I could go like this and put it here and once I press save right or if I wanted to trim a particular part out the video right I could go up here I could bring it over here boom boom boom I just want to I just want to have this be the entire video I can save it and then it's going to keep the last version the old version of the video up for like a few hours but eventually it'll change to
the newer version of the video so before as you can see I have a blur here you know what I'm saying I have a blur I think a blur here what is this I think a blur a blur and and something else and and and um some that's a crazy face I'm crazy um but yeah you can edit the video so that you can have the version that you want just in case like you miss something you don't have to take the whole video down and slow down the momentum of the video to uh then
post it again and it's not going to get the same view people was going to be like yo I saw this already why are you uploading this again it's going to hurt your channel you know what I'm saying so do not do that don't delete a video and then post it again don't do that right especially if it has the same name file also I forgot to mention right when you make a thumbnail or title to optimize the SEO even more a lot of people don't talk about this is you want to name the name
of the file that you're uploading to YouTube the title of the video cuz that's extra metadata for YouTube to like recognize what your video is about right it helps as well you know what I mean so if you have a if you have a video that you uploaded to YouTube and it's called um six cooking recipes that anybody should know and the name of the file when you actually recorded a video on your iPhone and you convert it to your computer it's called 123 4.5 mpp4 you want to change the name of that file that
you're uploading to YouTube to the same title six cooking recipes that everyone should know in 2024 so you can get that better uh metadata to give to YouTube cuz YouTube is simply a search engine at the end of the day day right it's simply a search engine at the end of the day it just so happened to have a uh a home screen that shows other videos on top of it but mostly the intent of YouTubers or people who come to YouTube they usually go in and type something in here you know what I'm saying
and they they actively are participating with the YouTube algorithm right so rule of thumb what I do I usually give a a video a week a week and I see how I do if it's like super terrible to the point where it's like getting less than a th views then I'm like all right let me change the title to this J and then see what happens you don't want to change title description and thumbnail all at the same time cuz then you're not going to be able to pinpoint exactly what it is that you changed
um to make it better you can change the title completely and then add something to the description but I wouldn't recommend like doing all three at once you know what I'm saying if you do do that just have a copy of the old joint that you had and then put it somewhere you know what I mean and then have a screenshot of like some of the analytics so you can see the improvements right um so you can change the title you can change the thumbnail and you can change the description and also on the YouTube
editor you can also Whatchamacallit edit the video so that you don't have to take it down and put it back up right so you don't hurt your views because every time you delete a video and put it back up YouTube is like what the hell is he doing why are you doing that it kind of raises a red flag right I'm not sure if that's like a conspiracy theory but that's what I've i' I've heard on the internet I haven't tested that theory myself of deleting and you know what I mean re-uploading and things of
that nature that's why I usually upload my video private I look at it make sure everything is good and then I publish it to public you know what I'm saying and also don't be the person that kind of watches your own videos a thousand times it's going to get flag don't do that okay but that's the video for today um don't be afraid to change your tittle in description and thumbnail just just give it some time to kind of get some information and then when you make another change give it another s days right if
you want to do a three-day batch you can do a three-day batch but I usually let it go over the weekend and then I'll be like okay this is dirt let me change it and that's why it's also good to have like different variation of titles you can test each title each week and then be like okay this one had the best results let me use this one and then kaboom
