foreign foreign foreign all right okay thank you thank you to everyone for coming here and thank you for having us here uh to most of you understand English thank you so I think most of you know that the decorations that is here that is slightly it's supposed to be Buddhist uh to forecast but I want to let you know that being a Buddhism we don't necessarily have to have that at home some you know often put that on you hope you know about it he was born in in Asia India at that time was called
and now it's part of Nepal he was born in London for my family is India you know but he how he was protected by his father his father did not want him to become but then his father wanted him to become a king understanding all right have you read the Buddha's the life story of the Buddha have you heard of it um so you know that he left his Palace and went into it in search of answers suffering of suffering that life provides um foreign when he was older and his father was trying to make
him interested in being a king he wanted he showed him around I think the town the city and each time he went out he saw a different things among switch he saw sick people dying people poor people old people Etc advantages [Music] and after that when he asked his father um whether if we could he told his father he wanted to go and leave the palace in search of a solution for suffering that people were going through his father initially refused and later on when he told his father if his father could find a solution
the suffering of old age the suffering sickness death Etc his father could not and then his father had to accept to let him go in search of a solution so therefore Buddha did not leave his family trying to escape responsibility he did not leave his family because he did not love his child known his wife nor his father he left because he left them so much and he wanted to find a solution for the suffering that they go through of course mainly for the suffering that the Mind goes through the emotional Suffering The Suffering that
our mind goes through when it is confronted with such suffering to relieve that but the left his Palace in search of a solution where it says the tracing onward um foreign foreign foreign thinking his father got afraid and tried to distract him with with parties with different things with making the prince do different things um those things that his father was trying to do it's still very up to date these days in our life foreign and everything that his father did was simply covering up the problem of difficulty of suffering this is foreign some of
those difficulties arising and covered it up with gifts and with possessions and with different things but again based difficulties these problems these sufferings again simply came up the service um that's just the nature of things as long as we keep covering up things whatever we covered up with one day just gonna come up many Republicans um it's like deodorant does your character says do you use them in Bulgaria these problems with telling everyone again you know how how perfumes are supposed to have started as a person with death as a perfume I'm not sure if
it's true but I was told that some hundred years ago in France my perfumes were started was that people didn't wash very often so to cover up the bad smell they put perfume and especially in the Italian history of course he's basically quite a few reasons and this is the quick thing that means math imagine the amount of perfuming would have to put if we never washed security [Music] in the same way when princess's father every time he was worried that his son was starting to contemplate and meditate he just kept covering up and covering
up covering up social status is as human beings are sentences that's what we do today now as parents that's what our parents do detailing classes as couples has children that's what we do with that is you know the party and say we have this little girl here and to talk about home agency one day we were all like that [Music] when we were born one day when we were born who came out of our mother's womb who must have come out screaming mistake one or two of you maybe know most of us also come out
to Spring apart do our parents know why we were speaking and we didn't use an eye at least whether they do or do not what do they what do you think they're dead to us because apparently put our mouth on the mother's bosom that's all it is in this life that's the first time something some problem got covered up guys I don't know whether we were hungry at that time whether you're hungry or not you know that you got a mother's person on the list and after a while when the mother then decides that kids
were old enough then we get this thing to put in your mouth shut my mouth and you must have had that experience at some point when the child is screaming just after eating that seems to me what is prescribed as a recover foreign foreign introduced by our parents to Consumers foreign [Music] um where you blackmail my parents he was a person is and they're bias as you get older with bigger toys and bigger toys when you're a teenager these Choice starts to change Industries man I don't know what kind of twice most countries that's mobile
phones the zombie gaskets foreign sexually active than its boy or girlfriends if we understand the map DNA passed out by Chain um and after a while it's a career foreign beach house whatever else all of these we use as a way of covering some dissatisfaction some restlessness um [Music] I'm wearing a stopped to look at what is it that we're looking for inaugural is purely said he's darling Optics in positions since the first screen that we had the moment we got out until now we're not really sure what we're looking for but we're looking for
it is we've just taken it for granted that that is the next thing that we want in that way all of us are experiencing some kind of breathlessness foreign adult human beings my country is sit even for one minute completely relaxed and still where the mind is not looking for something else to entertain itself foreign thank you it's a foreign um [Music] even with oneself one has an idea of our what you call it s best profile Services um image imagine just look at yourself think of yourself how you see yourself I'm sure we're trying
to see ourselves on the best Prophet we're not seeing ourselves with the most ugly what you call it profile service basically running constantly just satisfied because my purpose now the thing is you might be thinking I'm not a sister uh most of this with the Jazz listen you know doing it foreign look at your agenda you can't really trying to filter all right foreign foreign examine in a very non-judgmental way you wouldn't notice we're constantly they're looking for something is that is why when the brother got enlightenment the first teaching he gave was four noble
truths and he said there is suffering and suffering is something we need to comprehend we need to understand numbers so the best point of view when you talk about suffering of course suffering is something that we sense we can feel and from that point of view it's based on three different types of feelings um true story I'm suffering based on unpleasant Sensational feeling it's called suffering upon stuff is and suffering based on Pleasant sensation is called suffering because of impermanence foreign Sensation that we might have now it's going to change and there's not much we
can do about its changing quality we now knows well you might think well with that kind of suffering we have to enjoy the present moment most and not think of the future emergency meeting today but that's an ostrich syndrome that a lot of people like to to follow implies you know what I mean by ostrich syndrome just putting your head underground and that's it first is Buddha wow certain that is something that we need to know about um because if we don't know about it if we don't face it look at it properly there's no
way we're going to be free from it is and then the third type of suffering is more related to neutral Sensations neither Pleasant or unpleasant is foreign because we have ignorance is [Music] for example the way we look at suffering the way we look at Pleasant feelings unpleasant feelings it's the reason why it makes us suffer is because of our ignorance is so when we're talking about suffering from buddhistone if you're suffering upon suffering suffering to Improvement suffering to the fact that everything is compounded is we're seeing that seeing it more from the point of
view of how how we interpret it is now when we physically experience it we're not going to be able to change it just the way we think at this point of course we need to do whatever is necessary to remove the outer cause of suffering because today but within that a big part of it is also how our mind interprets so that is something that we can do through training them up there is suffering we need to know about it that's what it meant the category is for example with Pleasant unpleasant and neutral suffering especially
Pleasant and unpleasant that we can see a lot of them would try to prevent but we cannot prevent everything in the beginning um so in front of that or sort of helpless because [Music] so when we're helpless then it's important to really examine what is causing this kind of surface is foreign all of us have been experiencing that kind of suffering since long time no no no but we seem to take it face value says and when we look for a cause we always look in One Direction foreign [Music] imagine you have two children and
one time comes and tells you this child is my brother or sister is annoying me and you always go and scold that person points out in the same way we're always looking in One Direction so it's important to check is always teasing or not maybe it's just one of the child who wants to say that the other one is beating him or teasing him or not but maybe he's not doing at all um how do you relate soon I'm irritating situation in the back exercise sometimes imagine somebody's saying something really bad about you restaurants how
do you relate to them what will people think yeah I don't think it's normal that you get upset when somebody says that to you know do you agree [Music] is it normal that you get upset if something like that happens no think what is normal about that this is please try to see feel how really normal we think that it's um and try to see the consequence of that kind of remark that has on your life it is [Music] thanks suffering isn't it trying to stay down she tried to see what perpetuates that suffering I
think this is immediatrician but perpetuates that pain you can all recorded child has involved imagine if your girlfriend your wife leaves you for that reason and goes with somebody for instance foreign but what is perpetuating that suffering um now let's take another example has anybody walked on catch it [Music] even if you haven't you can imagine when you step and catch it what do you do you have to study the word because what do you do propane what do you do um that's right we clean our foot okay now if somebody says something to you
what do you do I go you can recovery you don't play my mind to it we hold it and we put that that everywhere we can think in our mind and we hold on to it questions and try that's dear the person with the people in the circular foreign there's nothing normal about that if you have catch it on your foot or on your mind you have to clean it not put it there not hold it is so if somebody tells you something really bad foreign what we usually do is we listen to it we
remember it we reproduce it anymore we amplify it we will see a woman that's not something anyone else can do um only we can do some University imagine if somebody says says to you some somewhere that you cannot bear um how many times can that person say that president [Music] if anybody had to say it as much as we think it that would be tortion for them ourselves [Music] is to stop me too much nobody asked us if that person said that word to you they did not tell you remember this 24 hours a day
for seven days a week you know 30 days a month for 356 days a year even if they asked you you would not agree but why do you do that laughs [Music] even if it was a law we wouldn't be able to do that is so why do we do that that's called ignorance trying to get too many memories because of ignorance we do that yeah we are volunteering we are so obedient seeing that seeing the way we relate to our life our world and seeing that there was that there is ignorance in that that
is to awaken us to that vision is one of the main most important role of a Buddha teacher is to wake us up that I love diversity [Music] punished teaching is to wake us up um [Music] removing that ignorance and then along with it everything that supports that such as attachment anger crying jealousy that is the truth of the power by imagine he is um in fact when somebody says something to us sessions it's not so much that that person said it it's more than we've heard it um it's when we hear it we have
a sensation feeling foreign and this it is how we deal with that feeling is really important his vision is for example somebody could have said something like that if we didn't hear it we wouldn't be affected Ness so for example if somebody looks at you smiling and says some terrible word in Chinese you'll be happy um so it is really how we interpret it so and then we have to see that interpretation um the feeling that we get from our senses um foreign if it is unpleasant we don't like it and we want it to
stop basically that's what it says and then our emotions goes and complicates it more foreign existing [Music] um 2016. so if it's an unpleasant feeling the country are going to pay attention to how to relate that feeling is understand don't come it feels real istic easting School so if it is unpleasant feeling whatever it is actually Pleasant unpleasant it's really important to examine it clearly and see how we actually relate to that feeling um thank you foreign foreign foreign songs all feelings from physical Sensations they arise as momentary experiences as we examine them as we
watch them they arise and they fall down we can see that it is impossible for us to make them into anything solid and anything similar imagine the village is nice to some Stein totally changing completely imperfect there's a absolutely but usually when we look at it when we throw things happen in that way when we don't look at it close it's just there it's solid Blue Book is stand what I meant ime okay just look at someone any of your experiences constantly arising and the spearing arising in the spirit foreign usually when we look at
our experiences our way of dealing with things we don't notice them foreign foreign by examining it that we take refuge together this is in this way that the Buddha's teachings can awaken us so good thank you so if we aren't to practice follow the Buddhist teachings we need to develop that kind of Outlook with our own life their own experiences foreign foreign still in the prime minister if you have some questions you can ask at that time before before taking records at that time you can ask questions um [Music] [Music]
