well here I am again it's this time of year when it's time to do the Ice plunge and I'll tell you I've been doing this for quite a few years now and it never gets easier for me I hear it gets easier but in my experience it just hasn't honestly I'm standing out here and I'm freezing in the small amount of clothes I have on right now and I'm about to get in this freezing cold water and it's about to get a whole lot colder so wish me luck here I go [Music] [Music] it will
work [Music] here it [Music] [Music] goes oh that's a lot woo [Music] I think that's about all I have in [Music] me immediately after I just get a huge surge of energy from all the adrenaline and it's really hard to stop myself from really shivering really hard right now but I just have to stay calm staying calm is really important um trying to relax into it relaxing into the cold is very hard for me I know guys that will just climb right into ice cold water and they actually like it at least they seem like
they do but I um I'm definitely a summer person over a winter person it takes a lot for me to do something like what you just saw and uh so why why would I do that well that why is something that always pops into my mind when I am right there about to do I'm like why am I doing this why am I doing this to myself right now and there are actually lots of reasons why I do that [Music] uh but one of them is for health and another reason that might be even greater
than the health reason would be just the ability to to use your own will to overpower your your very strong sense of survival and your survival Instinct it it really kicks in like every s your body is trying to convince you to stop doing it it takes a lot to overpower that and the ability to to use your will to have your will actually be strong strong will it's uh it's something that actually takes practice so that is why I climb in the ice cold water every single winter and that's that so thanks for watching
