[music] [music] [applause] [music] Simon, what is a female wizard? [music] A witch. Uh is it bad for me to call you a witch?
Well, not in Harry Potter. No, that's what I'm thinking because this is like real life Harry Potter. [music] Just amazing.
You really are. I [cheering] honestly you're extraordinary. You're 8 years old.
I mean, you put a lot of big grown-up magicians to shame. It's fantastic. [applause] It was brilliant and yeah, your presentation was absolutely fantastic.

Amazing. How was it? Good.
You are seriously [music] spooky. And we could not lift the box. That I know.
[cheering] [applause] Two years ago, I was lucky enough to be a runner-up on Britain's Got Talent. I was just 8 years old. At the time, I thought that magic was all about shocking and fooling people.
But since then, I've realized it's about so much more. It's about inspiring kids like me to be more confident and to make adults feel like children once again. Tonight, I want to do something [cheering] that hopefully will show you that magic can be inspirational as well as amazing.
Over the past 2 years, I've been lucky enough to travel the world thanks to Britain's Got [music] Talent. And during that time, I've taken photos with my family to remind me of the fun times that I've had. [music] Some truly amazing memories.
Fun times with my mom. First time getting on an airplane. Sneaking backstage into Simon's dressing room without him knowing.
Sorry, Simon. No worries. Walking our dog, Hoover.
Sometimes the simplest things can be [music] the best. You get the idea. Simon, please touch the back of any one of my [music] photos.
Any one at all? Any one at all. Uh I'm going to choose that one.
That one? Yeah. Hang on.
That one there. [music] That one? That one.
Okay. Yeah. I'd like you to look at it and hold it close to your heart.
But not show you? No. Don't show anyone.
And hold it close [music] to your heart. We'll come back to that in a minute. Okay.
I've been so lucky to experience these incredible things. So tonight, out of nothing, [music] I'd like to try to create a positive message for everyone. If I can do that, then there really would be magic.
How tiny should I stand on that big stage? Tiny. [music] [music] [music] [applause and music] [music and applause] [music] [music] [music] [music] [applause] [music] [applause and music] [music] Simon, for the first time, can you hold up the photo that you chose [music] and let everyone see?
Well, of course. Ah, that's our dog, Hoover, who as a family we all loved very much. He's a constant reminder to appreciate what you have today because tomorrow [music] it may be gone forever.
This one's for you, Hoover. [cheering] Wow. Did you see that?
[music] [music] [music] [cheering] Oh my god. [cheering] I'm going to sing a song for you tonight. [cheering] [laughter] [applause] Okay, Izzy.
[applause] [music] [music] I put a spell on you because you're mine. [music] You better stop [singing] the things you do. I tell you I lie.
I lie. [singing] You [music] know I can't stand [singing] you run around. You know better, Izzy.
I can't stand it cuz you bring me down. I put a spell on you [singing] because you're mine. [music] You don't own me.
[laughter] I know you said I lied. You don't own me. Don't say I can go eat other girls.
[music] And don't tell me what to do. Don't [singing] tell me what to say. And Izzy, I could eat Don't tell me what to say.
Tell me what to do. Extraordinary, man. [music] How can you sing like that, man?
[music] [music] Amazing. Yeah. [music] [applause] [music] Hello.
Hi. We met you last year, didn't we? Yeah.
You're taller. I know. [laughter] Much taller.
I know. What did you do last year? You were a dancer.
Yeah. Right. And you didn't make it through to the live shows, did you?
Didn't make it through to the live shows. No, I think for me, I always thought you should have done, to be honest with you. Uh so, what have you learned in the last 12 months?
Last 12 months, I've just trained harder, and I've just got bigger and better with moves and everything, SO. YOU'VE GOT to raise the bar a bit this year, right? Yeah.
Okay, off you go. [cheering] Come on, George. Really want him to do well.
I DO, YEAH. [music] [music] [music] [music and cheering] [music] [music] HE'S WICKED, HE IS. [music] [cheering] [applause] AND HE'S MUGGING BY THE LOOK OF [cheering] IT, HE IS.
[cheering] OKAY, GEORGE, YOU KNOW I'M A FAN. And I seriously fought [music] for you last year to get into the finals, and I was really disappointed you didn't. Last year, I thought you were fantastic.
This year, I didn't. [music] I thought you were phenomenal. [music] I've never heard that word before.
Not from him, anyway. The best dancer we have had by a clear mile. We like people like you.
You know, people who don't get quite far enough and go away, think about it, and think, you know what? I'm going to prove them wrong. I completely agree with Piers.
Great spirit, great lovely smile, great face, great energy. Um just really cool. Piers, your vote now.
Well, I'm a yes, obviously. For this. AMANDA?
YES. GEORGE SAMPSON, [music] three yeses. [music] HUH?
[music] ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC, MATE. You must be over the moon. Speechless.
Yeah. I'm really Don't say I said this last year. Yeah, you're right.
It was awesome. You were always said this kid got something. I'm so glad you came back.
Well done, and we'll see you in the next round. All right. [music] Yeah?
Yep, definitely. Well done. Off you go.
So well done. [cheering] [applause] [cheering] [music] [music] [music] [music] The winner of Britain's Got Talent is George Sampson. [music] [screaming] [cheering] Britain's Got Talent winner, George Sampson, was told by doctors today that due to a back injury, he may never be able to dance again.
[music] [cheering] [music] [music] [cheering] [music] Oh my god, that's amazing. [cheering] [music] [cheering] [music] [cheering] [music] Hey. Hi, Dad.

I've been worrying the last few days. Why? Why were you worrying?
I don't know. [laughter] It's what kids do. [cheering] Did you watch the Great Padini just a minute ago?
Yeah. What'd you think of him? He was great.
Well, Aidan, do you want to start? Yeah, that's fine. Okay, so for this trick, I'll need um an assistant, a sidekick.
So, Come on, Jason. [music] [applause] No, I'm not going to say it's not my fault I bought a small chair. I done it on purpose, okay?
So, you can just sit down. He's like a mini version of me. This deck is yours, and this is the red deck, yeah?
Yeah. All the cards are different, yeah? Uh-huh.
You can make sure they're all normal, different. You happy? Yeah.
Okay. Switch decks. Find any card, look at it, don't show anybody it, not even the audience, only keep it to yourself, and place it on top.
Okay. Okay. Oh my god, hang on.
I can't do it as slick as you. There we go. All right.
Now, we're just going to cut the deck again, so it's all different. Switch decks again. And now, we're going to find [music] our card and place it face down, okay?
Okay, I got it. Do I win? Uh no.
Oh. Sorry, well, I didn't know we were playing a game. You should have told me [music] I like games.
So, pick up your card and show everybody it. Okay. Here we go.
Hold it up so everybody can still see it. Okay. Now, what are the chances that we picked the same card?
Like none. Like no way. OH MY GOD!
WELL DONE, MAN. [music] SO, ONCE AGAIN, ALL THE CARDS are different, yeah? You can just give them a quick shuffle.
Okay, no problem. You're so [music] confident. When I was your age, if anybody spoke to me, I just puked.
Whenever you're ready, you can place THEM DOWN AGAIN. I'VE NEVER MET A CHILD OLDER THAN ME in his head. Great shuffling.
Thank you, sir. Okay, I'm just going to get you to tell me when to stop, [music] wherever you want. Stop.
Here? Mhm. You sure?
I don't know. So, this card right here is going to be your card, okay? I'm going to show everybody and you, but I'm not going to look.
Okay. Does everybody know it? Yeah?
Yes. Okay, you guys need to remember it, cuz I don't THINK JASON CAN. [applause] [music] OKAY.

You've got three yeses. [music] It's brilliant. Stavros Flatley.
I don't think anybody in this theater expected that. It made me laugh my head off. It was brilliant.
[music] How much do you look up to your dad and enjoy enjoy what he does? up to him so much. He's just a role model for me.
Uh-huh. HE'S GOT NO MONEY. HE WANTS MORE POCKET MONEY NOW.
VERY, very funny. Yeah. Like them a lot.
You think that nothing can surprise you on this show. And it was a complete surprise. Hilarious.
The pair of them were just hilarious. [music] [cheering] [cheering and applause] [cheering and music] [music] [cheering] [music] [cheering] [music] [cheering] [music] [music] [music] [music] [cheering] [music] [music] [music] [cheering] You okay? Just a uh Just a Just give it a couple of seconds to catch your breath.
HOLD ON. OH, IT'S GOOD TO SEE you back, Stavros Flatley. Um [cheering] Have a drink.
Catch your breath. [cheering] I can't I can't tell you how much you going mad for us makes us feel. But I want to say this show is amazing.
We've been all over the world. We've done things [cheering] and places we never thought we'd be. And it's cuz of you guys.
[cheering] Thank you. I watched him grow from here to here. And I've never been so proud as I am now.
Thank you so much. And thanks for everything. [cheering] I mean I don't know.
One more. One more. WE'VE GOT WE'VE GOT THE JUDGES.
I'VE GOT TO SAY ONE THING ABOUT DENNIS AND PAPPAS. He's amazing. I've got the same TEAM AS SIMON NOW.
[cheering] DOCTORS FOR PAPPAS AND AND PAPPAS, THEY'RE AMAZING. SO, THANKS TO THE PAPPAS DENTIST. JUDGES, and finally, it's over to you.
Look, I've wanted to say this to you for years. I've really wanted to thank both of you for everything you've done. No, no, forget me.
I want to be able to thank you. And I There's one way I can do this. [cheering] [music] [cheering] [music] [cheering] Got the girls screaming [music] in the wings.
[cheering] [cheering] [music] Oh, boys, come on, River. Come here, boys. Let me just say one thing to you cuz it's it's a it's going to sound weird, but it's true.
You've just been given Simon Cowell's golden [music] buzzer. How do you feel? [cheering] Great.
Whenever you need us forever, we'll be there. If I have to come on this stage on a mobility scooter, I will come. And be here.
Listen, can you do Can you do one more thing for us? Can you come back and perform for us in the grand final of Britain's Got Talent: The Champions? It would be an honor and a kind of Stavros Flatley, we'll see you in the final.
[cheering] LET'S HEAR IT ONE MORE TIME STAVROS FLATLEY. [music] [cheering] STAVROS, thank you judges. [applause] [cheering] Hello.
What's your name? My name's Jack. Jack.
Jack. Carroll. And how old are you?
14. 14 years. And tell me a little bit more about you.
Uh I'm a professional gymnast. [laughter] [applause] [music] ALL RIGHT, WELL BEST OF LUCK. ALL RIGHT, CHEERS.
[applause and cheering] Don't worry, I know what you're thinking. Harry Potter's had a nasty Quidditch accident. [laughter] Do you know what I can't stand?
Sorry. Sorry, let me re-emphasize. Do you know what I can't stand?
[laughter] But look on the bright side, I've never had to queue at Disneyland. [applause] Now, just I'm just going to throw a disclaimer out there. If I do get too energetic, please stop me.
I want to keep my benefits. But otherwise otherwise how would I HEAT THE JACUZZI? [laughter] I'M JOKING.
I'M JOKING. It's a pool. [applause] I was uh I was at the cinema seeing the new James Bond film the other day.
And uh it got me thinking, you know, maybe I would have liked to have had a go, you know, being James Bond, but obviously I'm a bit inhibited. Ah, Mr Bond, I've been expecting you. No lift.
Um But this isn't the first Britain's Got Talent event I've been to. I was actually uh at the live tour in Manchester, funnily enough, 2 years ago. And the staff they couldn't have been more helpful moving people out of the way, getting us to a seat.
And then when we finally got there, the view was just fantastic. And we sat down, and my sister, she tapped me on the shoulder. Turned around.
And I'll never forget this as long as I live. She said, "Jack, we are so lucky I'm disabled. " You cannot take her anywhere.
Thank [applause] you very much. I've been Jack Carroll. Good bye.
[music] [music] [music] Stavros got a standing ovation as well. [cheering] [music and applause] Right, Jack. Uh I'm going to have to go to David first of all.
Jack, you are a comedy genius. [cheering] Thank you. I wasn't as funny as you are at 14.
I'm not even as funny [music] now as you are at 14 years old. It was incredible. Every joke was a winner.
Thank you. Cheers. Thank you guys.
[music] Jack, you made me laugh before the act even started. And I know I've got a funny face. NO, YOU JUST [laughter] UM JACK, [music] THE thing that's that's great is you're Nobody feels sorry for you.
You're self-deprecating. You're hilarious. And I think you've got a huge future.
[applause] Thank you. Thank you. [music] Well, I I've got to tell you, Jack, you've got one of the most refreshing attitudes.
You made fun, you know, of what you've gone through. Um and you made it funny, which is really really difficult. You've just got an incredible personality.
[music] And I'm really happy that I met you. Thank you. [music] Call for a yes.
Okay, David, yes or no? It's a gigantic yes. Alesha.
100% yes. Amanda. Yes for me, Jack.
Thank you. Jack, [cheering] you have I think you know what's coming. Four yeses.
[music] Yeses. Thank you. Thank you.
[music] I can't believe it. Well done. That was [music] brilliant.
I love it. Yeah, I like Julian. Yeah, he's really funny.
You don't have to take his age or his cerebral palsy into consideration. He's a really really funny comedian. Fantastic comments from the judges.
[music] Four yeses. Yes. And a standing ovation from the crowd.
Something that I can't do, I think. He's just rubbing it in. [laughter] Cheers.
[cheering] Thank you. Well, it's very nice to be back. Um I'm a little bit older now.
Old enough to go clubbing, which is difficult as a sober disabled person, cuz all I get is people coming up to me going, "Jack, you drinking? " I have to go, "No, mate. This is just how I walk normally.
" ALTHOUGH MY FAVORITE part about going out in actually the drinking is taking my walking frame onto nightclub dance floors and watching people trip over it. I never do it on purpose, but I do pray that it does happen quite a bit. I do get out and about a bit.
I like going to the football. Um you know, watching, not playing, obviously. But I'm I could never be a Liverpool fan, because I sit in the disabled section, and I couldn't imagine being sat in the disabled section and having to listen to 70,000 people sing, "You'll never walk alone.
" [applause] No, I do I do like some sport though. Last year I learned to ski. I can see a few of you thinking, "Can northerners go skiing?
" We can. Although my skiing instructor had much the same reaction as you lot when I rocked up in the walking frame. He was like, "What, you?
Really? Does he know he's disabled? Has anyone sat him down and told Well, they're not going to stand him up, are they?
That would be counterproductive. But I did learn I learned to ski. And uh most people would be thinking as the wind was flowing through the hair and the snow was crunching underneath their feet, most people would be thinking, "What a fantastic achievement that is against all the odds.
" I thought, "Oh, no. I'm going to lose some benefits. " [applause] Luckily, the goggles still came in handy when I had to look at Simon Cowell's teeth up close.
[cheering] [applause] Six years um since I was on the show. I look 6 years older, which is funny, cuz Amanda and Alesha look 10 years younger. Okay, Jack.
I'm sure I'm sure they would frown at that joke, but the Botox won't allow it. Never had it. Sorry.
Ooh. Cheeky. [applause] I think getting older's fine as long as you keep learning.
For example, the other So it'll still never catch up with the rate at which David Walliams PUBLISHES CHILDREN'S BOOKS. [applause] OH DEAR. THIS HAS BEEN UM absolutely lovely.
I've got to say, the first time round, you know, the reaction to my performance was uh pretty overwhelming. So I've got to say, thank you to that firstly. And um And then secondly, you know, the reaction on social media has always been pretty good.
I prefer Facebook to Twitter, because I would rather get a happy birthday message from someone who didn't mean it than a death threat from someone who did. It's been absolutely lovely, and it's nice to be back. [music] I'm sure by now, well, you must be absolutely sick to death of card tricks.
Like you won't want to see one at all for the rest of your life. How did you know that? I've got friends.
Instead, I'm simply taking a red handkerchief and pushing it into my fist. I'm then going to snap my fingers and show, look, it's turned into an egg. And the handkerchief is back in my pocket.
Your brother's magic. No, today I actually thought it'd be fun to teach [music] you this trick. Everything isn't quite as it seems.
Because look, there's a hole in the back of the egg. And that's where I've hidden another handkerchief. It's that simple.
David, are you with me still? [music] Yes. Yes.
Good. Right, okay. So here's the setup.
Take out your red handkerchief, and you simply say you're going to push it into your fist. But what the audience don't know is that it's actually going into the hole. Right?
So then you snap your fingers and you show, "Look, it's an egg. " And the handkerchief is back in your pocket. The one thing that you have to remember to do is not show this side of the egg.
It'll completely ruin the trick and the magician will look like a bit of a fool, really. Unless, of course, you're a real magician. And you can simply remove the hole.
[music] You can't be asked. It's a real egg. I'm just cherry.
Thank you. Goodbye. [cheering and music] Hello.
Hello. And who are you? I'm Ashley.
And I'm Glenn. Hello. Together we're Twist and Pulse.
Are you students? Um yeah, I'm still at college and I work part-time at B&Q. Are you best friends, yeah?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, best friends, yeah. [cheering] Okay, [applause] good luck. [cheering] [cheering] Right, let's go when you want the music played, yes?
Here we go. Hello. Yeah.
Basically, right? This is going to happen. I'm going to dance, he's going to dance, done, SORTED.
HEY, SWITCH. [cheering] [cheering] [music] [cheering] [music] [cheering] [cheering] [music] [music and cheering] I'VE [music] NEVER SEEN ANYBODY BREAK DANCE THESE standard moves before. [screaming] [cheering and music] No buzzers, A STANDING OVATION.
[cheering and music] I'M GETTING A BIT EMOTIONAL, ALESHA. Thank [cheering] you. Yes.
I thought that was terrific. I mean, that is one of the most exciting, original routine we've seen. [cheering] I I don't know what that kind of style is, but you sort of dance to every section of the music and you told a story.
What is it? We call it We call it um street [music] comedy. So I street and comedy together.
I think you just showed us a glimpse of the future, basically. [cheering] [applause] For me, the only thing that works is whether or not it becomes entertaining for the person watching it. But I thought the routine was incredibly well worked out.
I think there's still a lot of room for improvement, but you were two people [music] I'm going to remember for all the right reasons. Is it a yes or no? Yes.
[music] It's definitely a yes from me. Uh guys, got three yeses well now. [music] [music] [singing] Well done, boys.
Well done. Yes. You deserve that standing ovation.
Well done, fellas. Enjoy it. We'll see you next time.
Enjoy it, yeah. Well done. [cheering] Every champion once was a contender.
That refused to give up. Now we're back. Ready?
I'm ready, BUT ARE YOU READY? [music] [cheering] [cheering and applause] [music] YOU WERE TWO PEOPLE I'M GOING TO REMEMBER FOR ALL the right reasons. [music] [music] [music] [cheering] [music] Welcome back.
Oh, what a performance. Let's cross to How are you feeling? [cheering] Let's cross to the judges.
David, WE'LL START WITH YOU. OH, I ALWAYS love you two. I'd have loved to have been on the show when you were on first time round.
I was a huge, huge fan. To combine this incredible skill for dancing with this amazing comic timing is something we've never seen before. I'm so pleased you come back.
You remind me a little Do you ever remember this pair called PJ and Duncan? Whatever happened to them? Never heard of them.
But you two are adorable. I love you so much. Well done.
[cheering] [music] I love you. I've always loved [cheering] you. You brought so much humor and such a unique act to this show.
You're still going strong. You're two really handsome men now. He's kind of handsome, though.
[laughter] That kid says. Honestly, it was It's so brilliant to see you. You're still very funny, still cheeky.
He's still got the moves. Fantastic. Well done.
Guys, [cheering and applause] I'll tell you what I was thinking when you did this performance is that I don't think you've been given enough credit over the years in terms of [cheering] what you actually brought to us. Um and there's something else. The people who didn't want to compete again, you know why they didn't want to compete again?
Because they didn't think they could win. You've come back because you believe that you could win and that's why you have my [cheering] total respect. [applause] Twist and Pulse, it's so refreshing to see you back on the stage.
You're like straight out of a computer game. I could just watch you forever. Love it.
[cheering] [music] [music] Twist and Pulse has just got the golden [music] buzzer. [cheering] [cheering] [music] [cheering] Let's [cheering and music] Okay, so How are we feeling? I'm literally feeling crazy.
Like This And this year, we've been waiting 9 years for a moment like this. Alesha, we can't thank you enough. Legends.
LEGEND IN THE BUILDING. [cheering] [music] YOU CAN SEE though from you two performing, you can see what a brilliant time you're having and how much enjoyment you get from it. Yeah, that's the thing.
We're We're literally having fun. Of course it's hard work and we're putting in all the hours to train. But literally we just on the side of the side and we said, "Let's go out there and just have the best time ever.
" It could [cheering] be Let me just say one phrase and tell me how it sounds. Twist and Pulse saying the grand final of Britain's Got Talent, the champions. Crazy.
[cheering] So exciting. Let's hear IT ONE MORE TIME. THE GOLDEN BUZZER FINALISTS, TWIST AND PULSE.
[cheering] [music] [music] [cheering] [cheering] TIME AND I RISE UP, [singing] [music] I RISE like the day. I rise up, I rise unafraid. [music and singing] I rise and I do it a thousand [singing] times again.
For you. [singing and music] You. For you.
For you. All we need, all we need is all. And for that we have each [music] other.
And for that we have each other. Yeah. We will rise, we will rise [singing] and we rise.
We will rise. [singing] Oh. We will rise.
[singing] For you.
