you made press because you were on Steven Colbear's show and he said something like um you guys at CNN just report the news straight and the crowd burst into laughter. No, you guys are objective over there that you just report the news as it is. Oh, I know.
CNN makes a I know. Is that supposed to be a laugh line? I wasn't supposed to be, but uh I guess it is.
Bill Maher calls out CNN's Caitlyn Collins after she claims the network provides objective journalism. And you won't believe her reasoning as she tries to defend CNN as a fair and unbiased news source. Just watch.
And what I I know what the conservative side of America thinks and I don't blame them. I watched Carmela speech last night. It ended at 8:09 I guess 11:09 in the east.
It wasn't until 11:23 till the conser the one conservative guy, what's his name? Scott Jennings. This lonely Scott I call him.
David Urban was there too. Wait a second. Wait a second.
I watched from 809 to 8:23. They was just gushing about how great a speech it was. And I think she did fine.
I didn't think it was as good as they were making it out to be. But if I'm a conservative in America and I'm watching CNN just for the straight middle of the road, that's what I hear for 15 minutes is it's great. And then Lonely Scott.
It does look I mean, and when you see the P, it does look like tokenism. It's kind of like the same as the view. It's like it's almost better to have nobody there like MSNBC.
You made press because you were on Steven Colbear show and he said something like um you guys at CNN just report the news straight and the crowd burst into laughter. Look, I'm on CNN now. I guess we're on it right now.
I mean, they show this show the next night. I don't know how they I don't know how we get away with it with all the but they do. Uh and all these dirty jokes.
Uh, but I'm glad and and I'm a big rooter for CNN. But that tells you a lot, doesn't it? I mean, how do how do you guys think you are doing is in that arena of like this is a terribly divided country.
We're not only politicized, a lot of people just hate the other side and CNN in my view should be the place where both sides can watch. How do you think you're doing with that? How is C CNN is the place where both sides can watch and and I think you know my show is evidence of that.
We have lawmakers on from both parties. We'll have Elizabeth Warren on one one night. We'll have Ted Cruz on another night.
I think lawmakers from both parties should take questions and you should push both of them. But but on the on CNN being a place of credibility, I mean, look at what just happened in Chicago. We had 300 people from CNN on the ground covering that convention.
There were several reporters from just our team alone on the floor uh bringing it in real time to people. And I think CNN puts resources behind things and just brings a level of news that you don't get anywhere else. She can definitely say that again.
CNN absolutely provides news you don't get anywhere else. And a great example of that is them admitting that they decided to censor President Trump's election integrity address because they felt it would be too dangerous to just air the speech live in full unedited. He did the same thing as this network CNN last night.
The newsrooms monitored the speech, evaluated if it was actually newsworthy, looked at the documents Trump was declassifying, and then reported on what happened. NBC and ABC both went on the air with special reports to explain that the speech had happened and to summarize what Trump had said, but most importantly to contextualize it and fact check it just as CNN did. Now, Trump was ominously claiming that the networks were part of a plot, but the only real plot here, the only intention is to remain reality based and truth-based.
Um, Trump's election lies led to violence after the 2020 election. So, this is a subject that really does warrant extra care and attention by journalists. And frankly, some network executives felt that it would be dangerous to just air Trump's speech live in full, unedited, without knowing what he was going to say ahead of time.
That's where we are in America. Yeah, that's where we are in America. And what about Dana Bash melting down, calling the American people gross on national TV after a poll found that 45% of Michigan voters don't want to be represented in DC by Abdullah Elsai.
To have respondents from this poll, 45% say they would not consider voting for a Muslim. First of all, it's just gross. Right.
Right. Let's say the Jewish factor. I mean, the Jewish number was it's 20%.
I mean, it it's it's it's gross, but that is what he's contending with. Yeah, sure, it's gross. But then again, this is CNN, and they claim to be objective.
And we can't forget the time CNN made sure to say the shooter was possibly white before any facts were confirmed because, of course, it primes the audience to view the story through a specific racial lens, the one that aligns with their preferred narrative, which isn't biased at all. Showing your hair to John's reporting that they do know the what he looks like. uh male possibly white mustache sunglasses in that building isolated to they believe or what about the time when Casey Hunt was so emotionally rattled by Caroline Levit that she literally stopped the interview it's so it take someone 5 minutes to Google Jake Tapper Donald Trump to see that Jake Tapper has stopped Adolf Hilter ma'am I'm going to stop this interview if you continue to attack my colleagues I would like to talk about Joe Biden and Donald Trump who you work for if you are here to speak on his behalf to have this conversation.
I am stating facts that your colleagues have stated in the past. Now, after Sorry, guys. We're going to come back out to the panel.
Caroline, thank you very much for your time. You are welcome to come back at any point. She is welcome to come back and speak about Donald Trump and Donald Trump will have equal time to Joe Biden when they both join us now at next early later this week in Atlanta for this debate.
Honestly, this is a rabbit hole that we could go down for hours, but I think Kaylee Mcannini sums it up perfectly. I listened to Caitlyn Collins say that they're unbiased. And I just laughed because I thought to myself, one, I called her an activist when I was press secretary.
I stand by that. Two words, Jim Aacosta, right? You guys are so unbiased.
Look at what Jim Aosta is doing. He's doing like left-wing pep rallies now. We covered that last year.
Not only that, I mean the first term of President Trump, the first 100 days, CNN's coverage was 93% negative. 93%. And that was a Harvard study.
So take that, Caitlyn Collins. Also, I would note the 2020 convention, you guys chose to fact check the RNC. Where were you guys on the DNC back in 2020?
Like, was Daniel Dale sleeping? What were you guys doing? Because I found all these RNC fact checks.
They always hibernate. Finally, I would just say Jake Tapper. Jake Tapper.
Do you remember when he called the RNC and DNC pipe bomber a white man when it very evidently was not a white man? So tell us you're unbiased. But how about you try to show truly believes that CNN is fair, unbiased, and actually covers both sides fairly.
Then I don't really know what to tell you because in my opinion, she's either okay with being completely dishonest or she's completely detached from reality. Either that or her ego makes her believe everything she says. I mean, seriously, how could she sit there with a straight face and tell people that CNN is completely fair and unbiased?
Now, it seems like they've just gotten to the point to where they figured out if they just repeat the same thing over and over, the masses will eventually believe it as true. It just goes to show how stupid they think their viewers are. And her argument saying, "Well, we have lawmakers on both sides.
" Yeah, maybe they do, but that doesn't mean they get treated with the same level of respect. And you can literally watch the coverage yourself and see who gets challenged, see who gets the easy questions, see who gets interrupted and see who gets treated like they're the smartest person in the room and knows best. I've watched it and in my opinion it's so biased that it's sickening.
And just because they put a conservative like Lonely Scott, poor Scott, on television doesn't automatically make the network unbiased. If anything, Scott Jennings is the only reason the network is still afloat. At least in my opinion.
But still, we can see what he has to deal with. All the delusion, racism, and blatant biases of his colleagues. It's a lot to take in.
Yet, Caitlyn can sit there with a straight face and tell everyone that CNN is fair and unbiased. But the truth is, Mar is right. It's just like The View.
And remember, ABC claims The View as a bonafide news program. And just like CNN, it's a complete joke. The same way CNN has Lonely Scott, The View has had its revolving door of conservative voices as well.
Although unlike Scott, they're missing their backbone. And you probably wouldn't believe me if I told you that Anna Navaro is The View's permanent designated Republican voice. Yeah, imagine that.
So definitely if Anna Navaro is the Republican voice on The View, then absolutely CNN is fair just like Halen claims because remember her conservative family watches her show every night. As if that's supposed to prove anything. Please, I honestly don't know how she takes herself seriously.
Just because your family is conservative and watches your show doesn't mean Jack, of course your family's going to support you. That's your family. But please, for her to sit up there and use that as some kind of validation that CNN is fair and balanced is honestly humorous.
And they wonder why they've been banned from the White House. Well, I can tell you one thing. It definitely wasn't because they're so objective or because they always tell the news exactly how it is.
But then again, that's just my opinion. I would love to know your thoughts on this in the comments below. And if you enjoyed this video, give it a like.
Your support really helps the channel grow and is greatly appreciated. Thanks for watching and I'll see you in the next one.
