Hello everyone. I'm back with another knitting video. This time, I'll be sharing a very easy-to-knit, elegant, lace-like openwork pattern that you can use in all kinds of knitting projects, such as vests, cardigans, and blouses .
As I said, it's a very easy and fast-paced, elegant pattern. I knitted this pattern with medium-weight yarn and 3. 5 mm needles.
The pattern consists of 8 stitches and multiples thereof, plus one extra stitch plus one edge stitch . At the bottom , I created a garter stitch by purling on both sides of the knitting . It's a pattern you can use on either rib knitting or garter stitch.
This is the back side. As I said, it's very easy to knit. A beautiful and unique pattern that progresses quickly.
Let's get started with the instructions . I'll be explaining it using two motifs. I've prepared my stitches on my needles.
I've created a row of garter stitch. I'm currently on the front side of my knitting. We start creating the pattern on the front side of our knitting.
I slipped the edge stitch without knitting it. After my edge stitch, I knit one stitch, then increase. I turn the direction of the first stitch and decrease two stitches together to the left.
3 purl stitches. I knit the next two stitches from left to right. I increase one.
I knit one. I increase one. Again, I turn the direction of the first stitch.
I decrease two stitches together to the left. 3 purl stitches. I decrease the next two stitches from left to right.
I increase one. I knit one. And my edge stitch.
On the wrong side, I knit my stitches according to their direction. I take my edge stitch. 1 2 3 purl stitches.
1 2 3 knit stitches. 1 2 3 4 5 purl stitches. 1 2 3 knit stitches.
1 2 3 purl stitches and my edge stitch. Yes, I'm back to the right side of my knitting. I continue to apply my pattern.
I take my edge stitch. I knit two stitches. I increase one.
I reverse the direction of the first stitch and decrease the next two stitches together to the left. One purl stitch. I decrease the next two stitches from left to right.
I increased one. 3 knit stitches. 1 2 3.
I increased one again. I reverse the direction of the first stitch and decrease the next two stitches together to the left. One purl stitch.
I decrease the next two stitches from left to right. I increased one. Two knit stitches and my last edge stitch.
I've reached the back side of my knitting. I've taken my edge stitch. 1 2 3 4 purl stitches, one knit stitch, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 purl stitches, one knit stitch, again 4 purl stitches and my edge stitch.
Yes, I've reached the front side of my knitting. Look, triangles have formed here . Two of them.
Now there's a purl stitch between each one. Now we're going to open the closing we made here again to this side . We're going to recreate the garter stitches and purl stitches in between .
I picked up my edge stitch. Two knit stitches. I'm decreasing the next two stitches together from left to right.
I've started decreasing on this side now. I increased one. One purl stitch.
I increased one. I turn the direction of the first stitch and decrease two stitches to the left. 1 2 3 knit stitches.
I'm decreasing the next two stitches together from left to right . I increased one. One purl stitch, one increase.
I turn the first stitch and decrease two stitches to the left. Two knit stitches and my edge stitch. On the wrong side, I'm knitting according to the direction of my stitches.
I picked up my edge stitch. 1 2 3 purl stitches. 1 2 3 knit stitches.
1 2 3 4 5 purl stitches. 1 2 3 knit stitches. 1 2 3 purl stitches and my edge stitch.
I've come back to the right side of my knitting. I'm continuing with my pattern. I picked up my edge stitch.
I knitted one stitch. I'm decreasing the next two stitches from left to right. I increased one.
3 purl stitches. 1 2 3. I increased one stitch again.
I correct the direction of the first stitch and decrease two stitches together knit. One knit stitch. I decrease the next two stitches from left to right.
I increased one. 1 2 3 purl stitches. I increased one.
I correct the direction of the first stitch and decrease two stitches together to the left. One knit stitch and my edge stitch. I've reached the back side of my knitting.
I've taken my edge stitch. I knitted 1 2 stitches. 1 2 3 4 5 stitches.
I knitted. 2 purl stitches, 5 knit stitches. Again 1 2 3 purl stitches, 5 knit stitches, 2 purl stitches and the edge stitch.
Yes, that completes our first pattern row. Now, again the first We're starting again from the first row. Let me remind you of the first row, if you'd like.
