I took a dormant TikTok Shop account and took it from $ 0 a day to $ 1,000 a day in just 5 days. I documented this entire process on my other channel, my vlog channel. If you want to see it, it’s here in the description.
But now , in this video, I’m going to explain all the technical parts, the whole rationale, and how I managed to do this , from why I chose the product I chose, how I put the videos together, what my strategy was for testing the videos, and my strategy for scaling. By the end of this video, you will understand the logical line of reasoning you should follow to be extremely effective with your tests and get results as fast as possible within TikTok Shop. So grab your paper and pen to take notes, because this video will have a lot of good information, and I’m sure that if you understand this line of reasoning and execute it, it’s absolutely impossible not to get the results you want.
And yes, I know I have some stickers on my forehead, but forget it, let's focus on the video. So let's go. The plan here is to get from 0 to 1,000 per day in 7 days with TikTok Shop.
The first thing I needed to start this challenge was an account. And I had three options. I could grow an account from absolute zero, but then I'd spend a lot of time posting videos that don't make me money, because I'd have to hit 2,000 followers.
I think it’s actually 1,000 followers now, but anyway. So I didn't do that because I needed to save time. So, the other two options I had: either I could buy an account, and for me, the safest way is to buy an account within a community or using an intermediary.
Within MVM, which is the community I’m part of, we have a marketplace chat where I could indeed buy an account, but that wasn't the case. I took an old account of mine that I had lying around, which already had TikTok Shop enabled, and I used that one. So, if you happen to have a TikTok account with over 2,000 followers, you can enable TikTok Shop and start using it.
It doesn't matter what the previous content was on the account, it only matters what you start posting from now on. So, the first thing we needed for our structure was the account. Once we had the account, let's move on to the next step, which is the product.
There are several ways to choose a product, but the way I always use is reverse engineering. So, instead of picking a product and then thinking about how to make a video for it, I do the opposite. I have some video ideas, some styles of video, or video formats.
Then I say: "Alright, given this, what product fits the video I want to make? " For me, it's much easier because I start with something I know works, something validated. So, for a video style I know I'm good at and enjoy making, I remove the video variable.
I focus more on the product and the copy, knowing I don't have to worry about the video itself. So, my first idea was to work with POV videos with a hook clip, which is basically the structure that starts with a clip, like an authority talking about the product's ingredients or a celebrity we can use to go viral. And right after comes the body of the video that we use to sell.
I already made a video explaining how to use this format on the MVM channel. It will also be in the description if you want to take a look, but that's not the point here. I've already made a lot of money with this format; in fact, my record month on TikTok Shop was with this format.
So I said: "Alright, let's go with this one since I know how to do it. " Once I selected the format, I went looking for products, and the easiest way to choose one is within the MVM showcase. So I went there to look for a product, and I found this one here that I knew would fit: a tetramagnesium.
And I knew why. Because I've seen videos of several doctors talking about magnesium, so I could use those videos as the hook and then follow with the body of the video. Besides, MVM products also have higher commissions, so that narrows down my search and makes it easier.
I think I'll go after things with higher commissions, and my commission on this one was 20%. So I earned good money for each sale. So I went ahead and put together the first video.
The first video I put together, I did it this way . The body of the video, the part where I was going to talk, I took from another viral magnesium video, I adapted it to make it a bit more concise, to fit the format, and I already had the body of the video. And then afterwards I went to get the clip.
I set aside some clips, did some research, found some clips that I saw had a lot of potential, set them aside, and said: "I'm going to test this and see how it goes. " And the video ended up with this clip here, I won't play it all. If magnesium didn't exist, we wouldn't be here, every Brazilian.
And then comes the part where I speak, which is this one. Magnesium oxide to help with retention, magnesium chelate. Alright, I posted the video, the first video I posted back on this account, 13,000 views, but it hit 13,000 and didn't sell anything.
So that started to worry me a bit because if it didn't sell anything, it means that either my video format wasn't fitting the product or the body of the video wasn't very good. So the first thing I did, I tweaked the body, adapted it a bit, grabbed another clip I saw had potential from the ones I saved, and built another video. So here is the new video I made with the other body, I adapted it here, changed the pain points a bit and changed the opening clip.
I did that, 5,400 views, also no sales. And that's when the red alert starts to trigger, because I posted two videos, the videos got views, the metrics weren't great, but it didn't sell. And what we want here is sales.
If it's not selling, it means sometimes I'm heading in the wrong direction. This is something very important which is also the intuition part, because there is no correct number, no magic number of how many videos you have to make to test a product. Sometimes it's a product you have few ideas for, so you'll post fewer videos because you have few ideas.
Sometimes it's a product you have many ideas to test, so you'll post more videos, but I think the best path is to exhaust the ideas you have for that product. If you've exhausted them and nothing worked, nothing sold, then you can move on to the next one. But in my case, since I was doing a challenge where I had 7 days to scale this account, I posted this video here on day two.
We were on day two, I had five more videos and it wasn't selling, so I had to change course. I started to get a bit worried that it wasn't going the way I wanted it to. So I went to my last test, which was this video here, I changed the body again, changed the hook, 5,100 views, didn't sell.
That’s when my red alert spider-sense went off and said: "Wait, this is wrong, drop this. " So I gave up on the product, had to change course and went after another product. For this other product, I followed the same line of reasoning.
Do I have video ideas for this product? I do. I’ll take it.
And what was the product? This product here, Memolife, is also on MVM, it had a 20%commission, so a good commission. I already knew what I could do with it, because this is a product that helps with focus, memory, anyway, it has that brain-focused vibe, supplements for the brain, ingredients for the brain.
And I have a repertoire of watching many TikTok Shop videos from the United States and I’ve seen many, many videos of a product called Neurogan, which solves the same pain that this product solves. So, I already had references, many, many viral videos of this Neurogan. Neurogan solves the same pain as this product I picked, which is Memolife.
So, my only job is to take these ideas that worked for Neurogan, adapt them for Memolife, which would probably work too. So, I chose this product here in the same way as well. I already knew the type of video I would make, already knew which product I would get ideas from, found it, good commission, so let's test it.
And now I’m going to get into the slightly more technical part, which is how I put these videos together to make them work, since the very first video I posted was a success. And then I’ll show the final result of the video. The first thing I did was map out all the ideas I could have for this product and took the videos that sold the most for this product.
And what I wanted was to see what types of videos I could make, what ideas I would have, and especially what I need to say to convince someone to buy a product that helps with focus. I went to study and read the body of the videos that sold the most, because I wanted to understand what the pain points and benefits were, and what I had to say to convince someone to buy a product that would help with focus and that kind of thing. And with that information, it would be easier for me to be able to sell.
So, in the end, I landed on these two videos here to use as a base. This video here is the one I was going to use for the structure, and this video here was the one I used to get the body, the pain points, and the benefits. Since it's in English, I won't play it all because some people won't understand it.
But this video here, it’s a video in the format we call a movie conspiracy. And if we analyze its structure, it’s as follows: it starts with a hook. And this hook works based on controversy.
It grabs attention by being controversial. So it says the following : It says: "This son of a tried to tell us something and nobody understood because it was in a movie. " So it grabs attention because it’s cursing the guy right at the beginning.
Obviously, he did that on purpose. He says that, manages to grab attention, and immediately follows it with a clip of the movie scene. The goal of this movie scene is to provide context based on science fiction for what he’s going to bring with the product.
So, in this case, we are dealing with a focus product. This movie is one that has, like, a pill or something like that, which the protagonist takes and it sort of unlocks his brain and he becomes super intelligent, super focused. So, the line of reasoning is to bring in this idea from the movie scene.
Then I will provide context by saying, look, this isn't just in the movie, it exists in real life. And I will prove it with authorities, clearly showing that it exists in real life and that you can have this same benefit that you see in the movie. So it comes with the movie scene that I’m going to show here.
Once the movie part ends, it moves to a part that we call a bridge. This bridge is the transition that we will make from the movie to the sales pitch. Then , on this bridge, he says something like: "Ah, everyone saw this and thought it was just science fiction, but actually, I just saw it, I found this video here that says it exists in real life.
" And then, right after that, he goes and shows the video. It's a video of an expert saying there is an ingredient that can actually unlock 100 %of human capacity. So, after the hook, he brings in a clip, and the goal of this clip is to introduce the ingredient and the authority, since this guy is a famous biologist abroad, so he has authority, people will trust what he's saying, and he will bring up an ingredient that's in the product.
So he brings up L-theanine, which is in Neurogan. Then he manages to link L-theanine to Neurogan and says that Neurogan has L-theanine. L-theanine is what would be, in real life, the thing in the Limitless pill.
So we build this reasoning in this structure to guide the person to reach the conclusion: " Wait, this is what was in the movie, so this is what I want to buy. " And it's very curious that many people have this vibe of thinking that the movie has a hidden message, and that, in fact, things in the movie are real-life things. So we lean into this conspiracy-minded audience, and we manage to say what they want to hear, that things in the movie aren't just a movie, they exist in real life, and then people flock to it.
Then, right after the clip where he introduces the ingredient, he introduces the product through another clip, which is this Shark Tank clip. So what does he do here? He creates a bridge again to link L-theanine to Neurogan.
So we say: "Oh, I did some research on this L-theanine and ended up finding this product that was on Shark Tank. " He comes with a clip, and its goal is to introduce the product he is going to sell. And again, with authority, because it's on Shark Tank.
And then he comes here to kind of explain, and after the explanation, he talks a bit about the benefits, that he took Neurogan, what he felt, and then comes a CTA. So, the rough structure of this video is this. Knowing this, I could start working, because I can keep this part at the top the same, as it's a movie scene; I'll find the movie dubbed and build my video on top of that.
I can keep this part the same, but from here on, I'll have to change it, because I'd have to find some clip of someone talking about the ingredients in Memo Life. I couldn't find it because there are too many ingredients here, so I had to find something else that would achieve the same goal, and what is the goal here? It's to prove through authority that you really can have that same movie effect in real life.
And the way I found was through studies. So I used studies to illustrate what I was saying and prove that I was telling the truth. Then, after proving that, I'll go on to talk about the benefits of taking the ingredients.
After that, I'll introduce the product and do the CTA. So, where does this video fit in, then? This video here is in a clip format.
It starts with a clip here, and then it goes into the body of the video. And in this body of the video, it has many benefits and many good pain points. So what did I do?
I took these benefits that are mentioned here. Like, oh, I take this, I feel this way, it's this thing I feel when taking this. So I take what he said in this video about what it feels like to take this product , and I slot it in and just write down the things that were there.
And, at the end of the day, the first body I wrote was this one here. I start with a hook, play a movie clip, and then go to the bridge. He took a compound that made him use 100%of his brain capacity, which is something everyone thought was scientific friction.
I throw this " scientific friction" in on purpose to generate comments. In fact, a lot of people commented that I was stupid because I said scientific friction. And I got this idea from this video here too.
And then I continue, but I found a study that proves that this pill exists in real life. And then comes what would be the clip in the original structure. This is what I put together.
So I'll explain here that there's a study that says those minerals you can give to the body unlock the brain's maximum capacity. I mention the ingredients, which are the ingredients found in the product. I take this desired transformation, which is that the study shows that mixing them all together can get you into a flow state.
I took this from this video here and added it here. Worst alternatives, which are no jitters, anxiety, or crashes that happen when you take caffeine, and so on. I also took that from this video here and added it here.
I took this from my repertoire because I was already familiar with structures where you list a bunch of ingredients and say that buying them all separately is very expensive. So, I put this in my copy because it fit, since there are many ingredients here as well, just to create that price anchoring effect. Then I go here, introduce the product, say I found this product, take these benefits that were here, and then these use cases I also took from here and created the CTA.
In other words, long story short, how did I put this video together? I took the structure of this video here, how it was organized, and adapted what needed to be adapted to fit my product. I took the information used in this video, which was Neurogan's best-selling video, one of the ones with the best conversion, and put it here.
In other words, I'm working with a structure that went viral, so it will probably go viral; I'm working with information that convinces someone to buy, and I put the video together. So, my goal as a marketer, as someone promoting a product and making a creative, which is what I'm doing, is to collect the right information. in order to sell.
I have to say what people want to hear. And for that, I need to base it on things that are validated. So, basically, I didn't write anything; I just put this video together, I read things here and started fitting them in.
I didn't have to use psychology magic or copy tricks, no. I didn't use any of that. I took what worked in the United States, translated it, put it together, and built this video here.
That's what I did. And then, once I made this video, I needed to test it. And that's where my line of reasoning comes in.
I put a video together, I'm going to test it to see if it sells and if it goes viral. I'll analyze it, I'll make improvements if the body of the video needs improvement, until I arrive at a body that is the perfect body. This perfect body is the body that I know sells with a good conversion, and my only job afterward is to keep playing around with hooks, swapping hooks to generate interactions.
And that's what I did. I posted this first video here. This video got 3 million views in the end.
It went viral, but it ended up getting a violation, so I couldn't use it as a base. The first 100,000 views it had were flagged for a violation. So, like, it went viral, got 100,000 with a violation, I appealed it, and it came back.
So, I couldn't use that body as a base, because if I did, I would keep getting violations. So, this wasn't really the winning video, I'll skip it to save time, but it was a video I made . It got 100,000 views, I managed to reverse the violation at 100,000, and then it kept climbing and selling.
So, I lost sales on the first 100,000 views , but then it kept selling, sold a lot, and I think it got flagged again after a few weeks. So I couldn't use that video as a base because the video body, the body I had put together here, got a violation. So, despite the fact that it was selling, it’s a body that kept getting violations.
So, I needed to make an adjustment before scaling, because if I scaled a body that gets violations, I'd lose my account. So, I made an adaptation and arrived at this video here. This video here made 35 sales with 74,000 views back when I made it, now it has more; in other words, it has a very good conversion, as we usually look for one sale per 3k views.
Since it was one sale for every two thousand here, it means my conversion was good; in other words, the body is a good one, it's selling, and it’s a body that doesn't get violations. In other words, I reached the point I wanted, which is the point where I can scale. I have information that I know if I tell someone, they buy .
So, my job is to drive a lot of people to watch and see this information I put together. So, with a validated body and here with a validated structure, because the video went viral, it had these metrics here, see: 21 seconds of watch time. It means the way it’s structured, people watch it; it’s a viral structure.
So, following a viral structure, meaning people will watch it, I'll get the views, plus a body that doesn't get violations and sells, then I could scale. I won't play the whole video again here either, otherwise it will get too long. But the most important thing here isn't for you to see what I did, the final result, and copy me; it's for you to understand this line of reasoning, because once you understand this, you can replicate it for any product you're going to make, because this is fundamental, okay?
Understand the foundation. But let's go. The video , same thing, the same structure.
I kept the hook, I kept the controversial hook, I changed the movie clip, and where did I find this movie clip? From the ideas I also spied on. So when I did my spying, I found this whole bunch of ideas.
So I saw there was the movie Limitless, there was the movie Lucy, there was the movie Avatar, the Planet of the Apes movie, all the movies people used in Neurogan. So I already had many ideas to test. My job was to take the body that got a violation, and improve the body.
I improved the body and changed the beginning of the video here. I changed the start part here, the hook, and the movie clip. I changed this, put it into a new body, and sent it to test to see if this new hook goes viral and sells.
And so, we ended up here with a controversial hook and this son of a b*tch who left a hidden message and nobody noticed because it was in the movie. Just the same hook from the other video and I swapped the movie clip. Then it comes here, then it comes to the bridge post that made her able to use 100%of her brain capacity, which is something everyone thought was science fiction, but I found a study that talks about what this pill would be like in real life.
Study says. And then comes the structure I already showed. So, recapping, this is something I need you to understand if you are taking notes on what the process was.
Let's go. Number one, I needed to assemble a video body. I assembled this body based on this structure here plus this information.
I made the first video with the structure . This video has a hook and a body. I sent it to test.
My test said it validated the structure and the hook because it went viral, but it didn't validate the body because I got a violation. So I needed to solve the second problem. So, I went to solve the second problem, I kept the same structure, I kept the same hook, the same type of hook, right?
I only changed the movie there at the beginning and fixed the body. Body fixed, I sent it for testing, it went viral just the same, and sold well. Done, I had two checks, what I wanted worked out.
Viral structure plus a body that sells. So, from here on, I have the whole foundation to scale. How am I going to scale?
Right here, by tweaking how I present the video to people, which is the hook, and other ways I’ll show you in a bit. So, once I have this, I went to scale, and that’s where the scaling part comes in, which is doing the iterations. I’ve already made a video here on the channel explaining how to do iterations .
Poke around there and you’ll find it. But these are the ways you can scale a video. I can re-record it the same way.
I did that too. I can say the same hook with different words, vary the hook variables, anyway, there are these 13 ways for me to do it. What did I do?
The first way I tried to scale was by changing the format. So this format here that I did before is me appearing. Here I did it without appearing.
This son of a left a hidden message. It went viral just the same. I think now it has 200,000 views.
I just changed the format, said the same things. Then I said the same things again, just in another format. Instead of me talking, I did the green screen format.
So I stayed here, showed the clip as well, kept talking and just putting things behind me. Same thing, the same copy, saying the same things, I just changed the format, another 140,000 views here on a body that sells . Then I changed the format again.
Now, instead of doing it without appearing in the POV format, I did the clip format, which was the first format I tested back with Laí Ribeiro, the format of starting with a clip. And here it was with the movie clip. So, I did another 210,000 views, started here , then went here to the POV.
Then I came here and just changed the hook stack, simply accepting this. So now we’re just going to accept this. I put a hook on top.
So now we’re just going to accept this. Discovering that this movie had a hidden message and followed the same thing. And this, if I’m not mistaken, was over a period of 2 to 3 days after I hit the video, the first viral one.
I went there, improved the body, after I got it right . I think in just one day I posted about five videos, because I already had a body that was validated and wasn't a violation. So I managed to make five videos all at once.
It was this green screen video here, this other video here, and so on. And well, if I hadn't stopped, you know? If I were to continue this series beyond those days, this is what I would keep doing: I'd take this same structure, look for other clips that I could swap into the hook, explore other formats, re-record it the same way, re-record it in a different setting, and change my clothes.
Anyway, I would just keep making iterations of something that I already nailed and keep making money on top of money, on top of money. Anyway, I hope from the bottom of my heart that you were able to understand that this is complex, it's not simple. If you're just starting out on TikTok Shop, you probably won't get it, but for those who are a bit more experienced and have been watching my channel for a while, this right here, man, is the practical blueprint for how you can make money with TikTok Shop.
At the end of the day , the strategy itself doesn't need to be very complex. I didn't post many videos, I didn't spend much time. If you look at my other channel, you'll see that I didn't spend that much time here.
I did the basics, did them well, always analyzing what I was doing and being conscious of what I was testing so I could have control. And then, there's no way it can go wrong. But anyway, I hope you liked this video and learned something.
If you have any questions, leave them in the comments. If there's any other topic you want me to bring to the channel, leave that in the comments too. Don't forget to subscribe; there are a lot of people who watch the channel but don't subscribe, so if you subscribe, you help me out.
It’s also feedback for me to know if I'm on the right track or not, and if you're liking what I'm bringing here. And in case you want access to products with higher commissions, live classes with me to clear your doubts, or to have your account and videos reviewed, I do all of that inside MVM, which is the community and ecosystem I'm part of. If you want to take a look with no commitment, there’s a seven-day guarantee; you can check everything out , and if you don't like it, just ask for a refund.
So, it literally costs you nothing. I'll leave the link in the description as well; I bet it could be really good for you if you want to start on TikTok Shop or if you're already on TikTok Shop and want to scale up. It’s for everyone who wants to make a living and who already makes a living from TikTok Shop.
But that’s it, thanks, I hope you enjoyed it and see you next time.
